Yea the NBA is on basically every night from now until the finals.
|
A better product would be preferable, but I can, in this backwards sort of way, understand why the WWE wants to have a sustainable and simple status quo for easy production. Putting on good content is work and creates further demand for quality content. You might bring in a few hundred thousand people with a better product, but when the quality dips, does your stock price dip with it when the people leave?
They’ve already got that narrative to battle though — people are leaving the stale product. And even without changing the overall philosophy of the promotion, WWE could just be better executed as is. |
Arn Anderson recently switched formats on his podcast dur to poor feedback. The show is now Arn telling the story of his career starting at the very beginning. It went from being the worst wrestling podcast to one of the best. They are 4 episodes in and it's fantastic.
|
i liked ask arn every other week
|
They've done so many of those. What else is there to ask. Arn is better as a story teller imo.
|
so what did people hate his wwe 2001 to 2016 stories, i don't get the arn hate.
|
He's just so dry and boring in that format.
|
i am glad jeff j's show is with the rest of conrads shows now i hated looking for it.
|
Jeff's show has reinvigorated me with Conrad's podcasts. I like to listen to Jr and Tony as well but they do seem to have e lost the steam. When Tony started reviews for ECW I tapped out. JR is worth it if they topic is of interest.
|
You gotta check out Arn's show now. You'd love it.
The live watches JR does are unlistenable. Like you said, it depends on the topic. I wish Kurt Angle's show were better. He just doesn't provide much insight. |
I hope Albert goes into the Hall of Fame as part of the X-Factor

With Jarrett, already I feel like you can't listen to him and not have a renewed interest in his past. I've been watching him in WCW and a few early TNA episodes. He was such a great heel. So funny at times too. When he interrupted Toby Keith at the first TNA show, legit one of the greatest heel heat moments ever. Fucking hilarious. Also in 2000 Nash gave him Commissioner duties, he was hilarious in that role. The worst thing about the end of WCW is by far Mark Madden. Whatever was bad, he made worse. I can't stand Mark fucking Madden.
|
Jeff Jarrett was never untalented. It was just too much at the wrong time for the guy.
|
Asuka tweeted out a photo of Allegiant Stadium in Nevada. Many are speculating that this is the site for SummerSlam. Don’t know how wise it is to be tweeting out that sort of stuff when the WWE is looking to cut talent and you’re a woman approaching your 40’s that probably earns a bit of scratch.
This will see SummerSlam joining WrestleMania and the Royal Rumble as the WWE’s annual stadium shows. Might lend credence to the rumors of Roman Reigns vs. John Cena and Bobby Lashley vs. Brock Lesnar as main events for the show, unless they just plan on people being able to attend shows being the draw. |
Welcome to our newest member, Kenny Omega
Thing is, with a guy like Kenny Omega, I could believe it could actually be him.... |
I'd buy that Kenny would sign up for a forum for sure.
|
Kenny signing up for a forum and simply using his ring name would be hilarious

Those Power Plant guys were so fucking rotten. I believe that's Dave Burkhead
|
Who was training them that they looked so clueless?
|
So, has anyone actually thought about how insane the Shield was?
Like, We are gonna debut three guys in the same time, in the same group. That Samoan Guy is obviously a star... but, so is the crazy eyed one... but, so is the traditionally good looking guy. We need to protect these guys and build them up. Seriously, how do you just somehow manage to debut the Main Event of your show for the next 5 years in the same night? It'd be the equivalent of, in the '80s, debuting Randy Savage, Ric Flair, and Hulk Hogan in the same night. That is unprecedented. |

And 3 Man Band is the only thing close to the Shield, and most of the time they played second fiddle to Hornswaggle.

of the 2 groups slater was the only one not to get the big title

For example, if I were true to this gimmick, it would be revealed through thorough internet sleuthing that *I* am actually HHH. |
At GCW last night, a druid attached Nick Gage. Crowd pops huge assuming it's Jon Moxley. The druid seemingly confirms it by hitting Gage with the Paradigm Shift, crowd goes bananas.
Except the druid unmasked as Matt Cardona, and and the realization of the crowd that they'd been tricked got him big heat. Tremendous. |
God I hope the border is open by the fall. GCW are coming to Michigan in October.

Brian Last having an aneurysm because Cornette has never heard of Microsoft office.
And then has a second aneurysm when Cornette suggests his own crypto currency while having no clue how crypto currency actually works. What an amazing segment. |

I'm gonna tackle 1997 next and work my way backwards. I love when two low card/jobbers face each other.
|
There was a short stint where they would do a weekly jobber vs jobber match. I can’t remember the name of the segment but these were JOBBER jobbers. A notch below the Joey Maggses of the company.
|
Wasn't that during Bill Watts tenure
|
I’m pretty sure.

I honestly can't think of any wrestler under the age of 40 who throws good punches off the top of my head.

Very few people have good punches now, but Holy shit that was terrible.

Walter is a chopper. Doesn't punch much from what I've seen.

So is Roman Reigns the only person to team with Seth Rollins and still be wrestling there? Moxley, Jason Jordan, Braun, Buddy Murphy, AOP...the list goes on and on. It's like working with Rollins is like making some kind of proverbial deal with the devil. You're gonna end up with the tag titles, you have a really good chance of winning a solo title after, but you're gonna be on the chopping block in a couple years. Add to that all the other people Rollins has injured, like Brock, Cena and Sting....and I really think Seth is cursed. He's like the cover of Madden.

Remember when Jake came back for the "Old School" RAW and put the snake on Dean Ambrose, and Ambrose was just smiling and probably marking out?

Speaking of Flair flops, my favorite was when he would take ten head slams into the turnbuckle from the babyface, but then give himself like five more unassisted, then stagger to the dead center of the ring and flop. It's one of those things that would be phony as fuck with ANYONE else, but Flair got away with it and made it awesome because he's fucking Flair. |
Two mentions of Mountie's shock stick, but zero mentions of The Nasty Boys' "Pit Stop"?
I mean, it's not a favorite, but it was pretty memorable. Honestly forgot about Genius writing stuff on people... LANNY POFFO nWo CONFIRMED! |
jobbers getting spray painted/written on was always fun
