That fat Spidey is actually this guy in Madrid. We saw him 'perform'. He takes a break every 20 minutes where he lifts the bottom of his mask up and smokes a cigarette. He has all these hilarious poses, and probably makes close to 50 euro an hour.

Lock Jaw 01-07-2011 06:21 PM

Japanese Spidey was the best

I hope Spidey has a giant robot in this upcoming reboot.

The guy makes fucking bank. Seriously. Also the costume is way faded now.

Confused 01-08-2011 07:28 PM

Tis' a dream but a Spider-man 2099 movie would be absolutely fantastic.

Besides the early Ultimate Spider-man it was the last Spider-man comic I really enjoyed.

This. Absolutely this. I have every 2099 comic that came out - even though I was hopeful they would never have brought out a X-Men 2099.

Doom 2099 was probably my favorite.

Confused 01-09-2011 03:52 PM

Shame it will never happen.

Wasn't Doom 2099 written by Warren Ellis? great writer.

Must look about getting some of the 2099 trades, if they exist.

parkmania 01-09-2011 04:42 PM

I don't know if they exist or not - I was in college/just out at the time and bought the issues as they came out. I think I have to go down to the basement and drag a few issues out after the kid goes to bed tonight.

Confused 01-09-2011 04:47 PM

I remember looking for the Spider-man 2099 trades a few years back, they weren't available then.

All the issues I had were in UK reprint mags and have long since gone missing. We moved house when I was about 17 and nearly my entire collection went missing!

Lock Jaw 01-09-2011 08:44 PM

They have one Spider-Man 2099 and one X-Men 2099 trade out. I think they brought them out to go with that Timestorm 2009/2099 story they did last year.

That Cap costume looks fucking epic! Not too keen on the Spidey one. Pretty much the same fabric as the first movie, but looks like they tried to change it a bit for no other reason than to make it different to the original movie costume.

Looks okay I guess. I won't judge anything until I've seen the movie (which will no doubt rock because it's Spider-Man... fucking reboots though :foc: )

Nowhere Man 01-13-2011 06:26 PM

I actually really like the new costume. It looks a little more convincing as something Peter Parker stitched together himself. I do want to see what it looks like with the mask on.

The Cap suit does look really cool as well.

Kalyx triaD 01-13-2011 08:08 PM

The Spidey suit gives off an Ultimate Spidey vibe, I like it so far.

Cap looks like a fucking justice machine ready to put evil down. Love it.

dronepool 01-13-2011 09:16 PM

The Spider-Man and Cap suits are both great.

Sixx 01-13-2011 09:39 PM

Cap's costume looks great.

Spidey's is pretty meh.

Jeritron 01-14-2011 03:04 AM

I'd like the Spidey one more if the emblem wasn't so overly messy/ugly. I get what they're going for, but I think it can look a bit more definied than that patch of grease.

I'm curious to see the mask.

Cap looks great.

Blitz 01-14-2011 05:18 AM

Better look.

http://img2.timeinc.net/ew/dynamic/i...merica_510.jpg

Sexy.

Sixx 01-14-2011 05:27 AM

Nice package.

Rammsteinmad 01-14-2011 06:54 AM

Holy shit that looks fucking incredible.

Jeritron 01-14-2011 08:13 AM

Yea that's pretty perfect

Confused 01-14-2011 11:09 AM

Looks good. I think Chris Evans will be fantastic in the role.

In the Spider-man pic, does he have mechanical web-slingers or are they sticking to organic?

Nowhere Man 01-14-2011 11:40 AM

I've seen some blown-up closeups of Spidey's hands, and he's got the mechanical web-shooters this time around.

I think he is "battle damaged" in that pic too. Emblem almost looks like it is coming off.

Fignuts 01-14-2011 01:13 PM

Cap looks fucking amazing.

Spidey looks alright, but like superman, I don't think there is any reason to change his costume outside of story purposes.

Jeritron 01-14-2011 08:49 PM

I think one of the reasons people think Spidey looks so thin is because of the lack of the red around the waist.

I don't know why they'd get rid of that, other than to just simplify. The webbing on the red seems very minimal. I wonder what that will mean for the mask. I hope the mask isn't just a red hood with eyes and grooved but not colored webbing.
It might be, based on the shoulder webbing.

From left to right: Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Rose Byrne (Moira MacTaggert), January Jones (Emma Frost), Jason Flemyng (Azazel), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Lucas Till (Havok), Zoe Kravitz (Angel), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), and James McAvoy (Professor Charles Xavier).

[Possibly fake]

Jeritron 01-18-2011 06:11 PM

Looks fake. I hope it is

HeartBreakMan2k 01-18-2011 06:15 PM

Agreed - hope it's a fake. Looks terrible for an X movie. Looks like the Mutant X show... which is not a good sign..

Sixx 01-18-2011 06:17 PM

Emma Frost in bra and panties. Yeah, it sure as fuck is real.

EDIT: Ok, those are not panties. Still.

Fignuts 01-18-2011 06:21 PM

Ridiculously fake, come on.

Also original webshooters confirmed, for spidey. Emma Stone let the cat out of the bag, and you can actually see them in that photo up there.

LuigiD 01-18-2011 06:25 PM

Nightcrawler looks like he has a Kofi Kingston hair style in that picture.

Fignuts 01-18-2011 06:28 PM

It's not nightcrawler.

Sixx 01-18-2011 06:33 PM

It's Henry McCoy. Probably why he's in the back, as just painting him blue doesn't make a good photoshop.
