Ted - 8/10

Haven't laughed that much at a movie in awhile.

Damian Rey 07-24-2012 07:25 PM

The Dark Knight Rises-10/10 Amazing and by far the most suspenseful emotional ending of the trilogy.

GD 07-25-2012 02:06 AM

Little Miss Sunshine (After a few years) - 9/10

The Dark Knight Rises - 9/10

Cool King 07-25-2012 07:07 PM

So I'm just back from seeing The Dark Knight Rises.

I wasn't really planning on seeing it as I rarely go to the cinema and I'm not really a big fan of Batman, but the film was actually very good. I really enjoyed it.

I'd give the film 9/10.

Cool King 07-25-2012 07:07 PM

Also, I don't really find Anne Hathaway attractive, but she had a fantastic ass in The Dark Knight Rises. :y:

RoXer 07-25-2012 07:27 PM

The Dark Knight Rises

PorkSoda 07-25-2012 09:03 PM

Watched these over the past 2 weeks....

The Incredible Hulk - 8/10. Edward Norton doesn't play a good Hulk, but great movie otherwise. A LOT better than the Bana version.

This Means War - 4/10

Eye See You/D-Tox - 4/10. Stallone film.

Scott Pilgrim Vs The World - 0/10. I'd rank this in the negative category. Fucking terrible. I already told yall about it in the 100K forum.

Tears Of The Sun - 6/10. Made me depressed during the end with the shootout and sad music.

Sky Captain And The World Of Tomorrow - 4/10.

Two Lovers - 8/10. A Gosh Dang rollercoaster of emotion. Reminds me of a time in my life which can be discussed upon request.

The Dark Knight Rises - 10/10. I liked The Dark Knight better, but I did think this was epic. I think everything that has to be said about this has been said.

XCaliber 07-25-2012 11:59 PM

The Amazing Spider-Man - Solid 4/5 Finally got around to seeing this and I'm so glad I caught in theaters even though I had lower expectations going into it must say I really enjoyed it. Without going into too much detail to avoid spoilers I must say that it was better than Raimi's in certain aspects. That's not too say that it's better overall the story felt deeper in some regards and the visuals were great but somehow it just didn't quite have that epic feel to it. In fact I felt a little almost too sci-fi but in the same token at least it was a little more grounded rather than over the top. Garfield does a good job as Spider-Man but I didn't care for him as much as Peter Parker but that could be since he was portraying one of the more recent incarnations of him.

El Vaquero de Infierno 07-26-2012 04:33 PM

The Dark Knight Rises - 8/10

I have the urge to see it again, which I may indulge.

whiteyford 07-26-2012 04:35 PM

21 Jump Street - 7.6785/10

Triple Naitch 07-28-2012 04:11 PM

Make Believe - 7.5/10

Documentary from the guys who did King of Kong about a teen magic competition on Las Vegas. Pretty Entertaining. The one girl magician is nice. It's on Netflix if yr. interested.

The Destroyer 07-28-2012 04:48 PM

Kick-Ass - 8/10

Been meaning to see this for ages, finally got around to it. First recent film for a while I've seen with Nic Cage in it that's not seemed awful. :y:

whiteyford 07-28-2012 05:15 PM

Love Kick Ass.

Corporate CockSnogger 07-28-2012 05:16 PM

I watched The Hangover this morning. It was a'ight.

The Dark Knight Rises - 10/10

Absolutely speechless.

Nicky Fives 07-29-2012 08:24 AM

London Boulevard - 5/10..... nothing too special..... the British accents and Keira Knightley kept the Canadian entertained enough.....

Krimzon7 07-29-2012 10:06 AM

okay...how bout Thr Watch. I saw it, and I gave it a solid 7/10. these guys were all hilarious.

All I got to say is Costco is Members ONLY.

and that I see why they pushed this shit back. Jonah Hill's character should've been named Zimmerman

Triple Naitch 07-29-2012 05:50 PM

The Watch - 7/10

Was pretty entertaining. Love Vince Vaughn playing Vince Vaughn.

Triple Naitch 07-29-2012 10:37 PM

The Town - 7/10

Don't get me wrong. It's a good movie, but the comparisons to The Departed are wayyyyy off in terms of how good it was. Not even close.

Nicky Fives 07-30-2012 08:18 PM

Amy Adams was a smokeshow in that movie though......

Triple Naitch 07-31-2012 10:24 AM

That's The Fighter.

PorkSoda 07-31-2012 11:17 AM

Amy Adams was in The Fighter with Mark Wahlberg
Mark Wahlberg was in The Other Guys with Will Ferell
Will Ferell was in Stranger Than Fiction with Dustin Hoffman
Dustin Hoffman was in Hook with Robin Williams
Robin Williams was in Good Will Hunting with Ben Affleck
Ben Affleck was in a movie with Luke Wilson called....

The Third Wheel - 0/10. One of the worst movies I've ever seen.

Emperor Smeat 07-31-2012 11:27 PM

From Russia With Love - 4 out of 5

PorkSoda 08-01-2012 10:28 PM

Assault On Precinct 13 (remake) - 3/10. Over usage of the F word, and didn't live up to the John Carpenter version. Carpenter KNOWS how to build suspense and can create a somber soundtrack and an intense soundtrack with only a few notes. This movie, during action scenes, would use "Typical Action Score #8" and it didn't fit.

Leaving Las Vegas - 2/10. Hated it. Liked the script at times and thought the idea wasn't bad, but it was a bad, BAD movie.

Emperor Smeat 08-01-2012 11:54 PM

Goldfinger - 4 out of 5

Never seen the whole Bond film before and mostly the ending until tonight.

whiteyford 08-02-2012 10:18 AM

Life as we know it - 5/10

XCaliber 08-02-2012 11:09 AM

Dark Knight Rises 4.5/5 - Great conclusion to Nolan's triology but a lot of the best moments occur in the last 30 mins so it didn't feel quite as solid as TDK.

You really don't know anything about films, do you?

whiteyford 08-04-2012 05:03 PM

Nope.

Emperor Smeat 08-05-2012 12:38 AM

Thunderball - 3 out of 5

Good film but I understand why critics didn't like the underwater scenes since they drag on a bit.

Lock Jaw 08-05-2012 12:41 AM

Die Hard 2
8/10

Not as good as the first, but still enjoyable.

alvarado52 08-05-2012 03:19 AM

Hunger Games 2/5. An event based on killing, and I get to watch a pacifist for two hours.

The Destroyer 08-05-2012 08:04 AM

Hobo With A Shotgun - 6/10

Bit all over the place really, but it had its enjoyable moments. Plus Rutger Hauer is always good value.

You gave Leaving Las Vegas 2/10 and called it a bad, bad movie. That is the reason. I thought that would be obvious.

Wehttam 08-05-2012 11:41 AM

nah, he just wants you to say why it is good, eventhough he never really gave reasons as to why it is bad. typical porksoda run around

El Capitano Gatisto 08-05-2012 11:50 AM

I know that. That's why I didn't explain why it is a good film. I don't think it would matter anyway since he clearly doesn't know anything about films and it is beyond him to appreciate it.

The language was filthy. And sexual. Sexually filthy.

We Own The Night - 7/10
Sucker Punch - 7/10

El Capitano Gatisto 08-06-2012 09:35 AM

So you gave Leaving Las Vegas 2/10 for bad language, yet rated Sucker Punch, a dreadful, boring, exploitative, sexist piece of work 7/10. You know absolutely nothing about films.

Bourne Legacy. (Ending was totally shot in my home country and they even had a pleasure traffic chase scenes and cruising at sea too.) 7/10

And this one was no match for the 2 RECs but still, this is the only one that took a big break from 1st person cam view. The start of the movie felt like someone edited a DVD Player splash screen and clicked on the pics and vids of the wedding couple.

Harold & Kumar Christmas - 8/10 - not as good as the first 2, but NPH is hilarious
The Bucket List - 8/10 - excellent movie with anexcellent story
Cowboys & Aliens - 6.5/10 - not my type of movie, but Olivia Wilde is gorgeous
Gran Torino - 10/10 - a surly Clint Eastwood is hilarious
Johnny English Reborn - 7/10 - loved the first one, this one was alright

Long weekend equals a movie day for me..... I watched all of these of Friday.....

Warrior-8/10

Good story of redemption with some decent cameos.. Kurt Angle Rashad, Bonnar, Rumble Johnson, Anik, Rosenthall, the TAPOUT Hguys, etc.. Would have been better wiyhout the unrealistic suplexes and takedtowns..

Rango-8.5/10
Good story, annimation, and a Fear and Loathing refrence..

The Bourne Legacy - 4/5

Started out slow, got great, then ended. I was kinda bummed out.

If they decided to spin this into a trilogy, Jeremy Renner got a shot at making his character his own. I liked him alot in this.

Die Hard with a Vengeance 7/10

Live Free and Die Hard 7/10

Felt totally different than the first two... Especially the fourth one. Still ok, but not as great as the first two. The fourth one definitely doesn't even feel like a Die Hard movie, but if you look at it as just "a movie" and not as part of a series, than it is ok.

The Campaign- 7/10

It had some funny moments but I really didn't like the editor's cut.. I was there for a good while and know that there are funnier versions of some of those scenes that were used.. I think the directors cut will be better on DVD..

Lock Jaw 08-16-2012 12:58 AM

Dragonball Evolution 3/10

Dunno why I decided to watch this. Though I almost feel like ranking it higher because at times it was so "bad" that it was almost "good". If you know what I mean.

I enjoyed the movie and would give it a 6/10. However, There were some parts that I almost expected more from (the traffic stop scene INSTANTLY jumps to mind). But the movie was fun to me.

Raven Reaper 08-16-2012 07:25 AM

More enjoyable than the 1st one. Love Ahnuld's terminator one liner I'll be back in this one. He even gets to have a BIG FUCKING GUN BANGING AWAY! Minus Chuck Norris' roundhouse kicks. He's more laid back and shooting on this one.. Although the new asian chick kicks ass as much as Jet Li does. This is my first time seeing Van Damme play the bad guy. I don't recall ever in his movies playing bad. He's all kickboxing hero to me. Love the final smackdown: Rocky Vs. Bloodsport kickboxer champ!

Zero expectations on this one. It's like the Avengers action hero roster hence why they added a random hot asian chick.

7/10.

Bonkers, but it kept me watching.

I liked the use of Handel's Lascia ch'io pianga.

Cabin in the Woods 7/10.

Although the whole thing reminded me of 13 Ghosts remake. And the scientists chuckling at their evil works is just awkward and felt like a twisted version of the Truman Show except with lots of weird ass monsters.. Plus, the underground lab looked something like Umbrella Corp from Resident Evil would do the same thing to them.

Seeing Sigourney Weaver as the evil director bitch, I was also expecting her to transform into a Xenomorph Queen Alien. Haha.

CSL 08-16-2012 12:19 PM

I actually saw Cabin in the Woods recently just because Bradley Whitford is in it, surprised myself because horror films are pretty much the worst films around but it was really good. I'm not going to offer a rating because I'm a rebel of grand proportions
