Supreme is a bot confirmed.

Ol Dirty Dastard 04-13-2022 10:14 PM

I hope this guy gives us continued entries into WrestleCrap

Triple A 04-13-2022 10:23 PM

They really shouldn't have done the lights off thing for this guy... Still wouldn't have been that good but also wouldn't have been as disappointing / confusing since everyone was expecting to see someone they actually know when the lights came back on

BAH GAWD IT'S TALL BASKETBALL GUY

Fignuts 04-13-2022 10:39 PM

Fun match between Joe and Suzuki. Too bad we didnt have any time to process it because we had to debut some basketball player that no one cares about.

Yeah that is something they never seem comfortable doing, just letting a moment sink in.

Jordan 04-13-2022 11:09 PM

Is Santam Singh the next big thing? He's really big. Do you think he is capable of a good match? I don't think so! Did you see the way he tossed Joe into the ring steps! And then he put his foot on Joe's fat gut at the end to pose and Joe swatted him away and said "don't fucking touch me".

Does the hindu freak have giantism? Looks funny

Remember when the Saudis wanted Yokozuna? This feels eerily similar. Bargain bin Khali.

I loved this episode all the way up to the end. It’s fine they’re introducing new talent. Especially one that is really unique to their roster. But doing it in the main event, with a lights out spot, was a bad idea and it feel really flat. Joe is awesome, I love Lethal as a very good bitter mid card heel, and Dutt is fine as his lackey to feed to the faces, but that wasn’t a main event angle. End the first hour with it, but not the entire show.

Another complaint I’ve had that’s been growing is the lack of focus on Hangman. I thought part why Jericho’s run was so good was that the show was focused on him and everything on the weekly show built up to his matches and segments. It made him seem important, and therefore the title was important.

I don’t need Hangman needs to be wrestling every week, but he needs a live segment every week, and should be the main event whether he’s wrestling, talking, or getting involved in something to further his current angle and build to the match. They use him in the middle of the show and by the end he’s barely mentioned other than maybe a match graphic. Pretty sure he wasn’t on the show last night outside of the broadcast hyping his death match.

Get the mother fucker out there after the Joe match, have him cut a promo and get the crowd hyped for him killing Cole, do a run in, and either leave him in peril or have him clean house. Something.

The fact that they don’t build the show around him is leveling the quality of his run. He’s had 3 great matches and a good one with Cole, but that he’s not the main event on TV is making his run seem less significant. And it shouldn’t be that way.

Not sure on Wheeler Yuta. They made him look like a beast against Mox but not sure if he’s the right guy to be putting in that position. He talks and looks like a bit of a goof.

They’ve got too many belts on the go now with all these ROH titles, it’s becoming a bit hard to care, even though I do like Samoa Joe. Hope they stop with the ROH stuff and start having a separate show for all of them. Again, too many actual top guys not really on the show.

Corporate CockSnogger 04-15-2022 07:55 AM

I don’t mind it when they give their bigger names mini-feuds that last a couple of weeks. I think the best example of this was when MJF had a two week feud with Pullman Jr where he destroyed him every time. But sometimes it derails the bigger guys momentum too much.

Malakai Black should never be cutting a promo on Fuego Del Sol. They squashed him and Bear Country which was fine. Dark Order helped out so they squashed them too. That should’ve been the end of it. House of Black should be aiming at Jungle Express right now and then move onto Mox and Danielson. Stop middling around with losers for more than a squash or two.

The combination of matches between House of black and Jungle Boy/Luchasaurus and Christian can keep them going for a while.

Corporate CockSnogger 04-15-2022 07:56 AM

Jungle Express been feuding with Adam Cole and friends for about 10 months it feels

Damian Rey 2.0 04-15-2022 01:32 PM

I agree with cock snogger. ROH should be the new YouTube shows. Or at least one of them.

I like Yuta but he needs a better haircut and boots

Supreme Olajuwon 04-15-2022 03:01 PM

Yuta looks like a college student

Ol Dirty Dastard 04-15-2022 03:09 PM

I guess maybe the Moxley match was similar to the effect of 123 Kid pinning Razor. Somebody who looks like a regular AEW fan “held his own.” Except 123 kid’s victory was more believable and treated as a fluke to turn Razor face.

Jordan 04-15-2022 03:28 PM

It wasn't Tony's idea to debut Santham Singh in the dark, it was someone else!

Ol Dirty Dastard 04-15-2022 03:31 PM

With 30 years in the biz!

CLASSIC Tiny Khan

Mr. Nerfect 04-15-2022 05:08 PM

Great way to debut someone. And against someone so established in the company too. Take notes, amateurs.

Evil Vito 04-16-2022 10:17 AM

I loved this show for 2 hours and then that ending just left me feeling crestfallen.

I don’t think a bad ending can ruin an entire program but god damn that was a bad note to end on, ala the exploding death match fuck up.

Ol Dirty Dastard 04-16-2022 10:59 AM

It happens, though. Best to just embrace the Wrestlecrap. It's part of what makes wrestling unique.

Evil Vito 04-16-2022 11:57 AM

Feels like something that could've/should've been done in the middle of the show. Still would've sucked but wouldn't have ended the show on a down note.

Would've flip flopped Joe/Suzuki and reDragon/Jurassic.

Evil Vito 04-16-2022 11:57 AM

I thought it was Khali for a brief second. I irrationally love that fucking oaf.

Or Punk and Penta... It's weird how AEW has conditioned the audience that the real main event is the opening match.

Evil Vito 04-16-2022 12:19 PM

Really enjoyed the Team Taz vs. Swerve and Lee match.

Separately, he's not always on commentary for their matches but I also have to throw in that Taz is one of the best guys at playing heel as a character but it not overwhelming his commentary. Even to the extent of not going overboard with Hook. He puts everyone over so well even if they're facing his group. It's refreshing.

Mr. Nerfect 04-16-2022 03:35 PM

Why not present this guy like a babyface? Kayfabe doesn’t exist for them anymore. The fans are not going to like the wrestling that comes of this, so why also position them to not like the guy? At least if their fans see him as their attraction, he might be a guilty pleasure for them. He can beat guys like QT Marshall, Billy Gunn, etc. for weeks.

They have a good record of putting on bangers first..... especially unexpected ones (on paper).
