I don't ever take issue with stuff in video games, but this was just...royally fucked up. A minute into it and I didn't even want to finish the mission.

I didn't really feel overly odd whilst doing the airport mission, did think it was abit fucked up though and later mission really made me want to get those russian bastards. I think the ending to the airport was more fucked up for me, went through all of that mayhem only for that to happen. Was SHOCKED!

Job interview at 11:30am, in the shop to buy this by 1:00pm, home at 2:00pm, superglue headset back together from where I stood on it the other day while installing it to my X-Box, start playing some of you lot at 2:30pm, be terrible for a while, get a bit better, 3:30pm recieve phonecall saying I've got the job and I was just so great they didn't want to waste any time getting back to me, 3:40pm kill everyone to celebrate spending money on this not being a terrible idea due to being jobless.

That will be how my day works out tomorrow. Maybe.

Trust me, I'm fine with pretty much everything, including all of GTA, but the mission was pretty disturbing.

Not saying its wrong or immoral, just saying I did not feel comfortable playing that part.

Had my best game ever just now.

19-0 on quarry. Tool out about 5 people with the harrier strike, then dropped about 8 more with the pavlov.

Granted I've gotten 30+ and even 40+ kills before, but never without dying once. Pretty awesome.

Also got highest score challenge which just before the game, I was thinking I might not be able to get as I am good but not great.

Finished campain mode.

Awesome experience although it was shorter than expected.

I love how they kept that same little guitar riff every time you complete a challenge on multi. That shit makes me pump my fist every time.

The alpha class missions are a bit ho-hum, but once you unlock bravo, it gets real fun.

although a mic is pretty nessecary for some. We failed the stealth mission twice, pretty much because of no communication.

Well played two games now making some lunch, first impressions are fuck me the levels are HUGE or I've had two bigs ones. Had Afghan and some other one. First game went 1-0-17 second game a more respectable 17-0-19 after finding a good spot and working my kill streaks up. Liking the care packages, didn't actually bother collecting it the second time but used it as a trap instead. Be better when I've stuffed unlocked obviously.

Played the single player for a few minutes but can't be arsed with that not nearly as much fun.

Derailed is another one of the huge ones. Personally, I like the huge maps. Gives you a lot of options on how you want to attack.

2 player only. That and the fact that the AC-130 gunship mission is too short, are my only real gripes. But like I said, It's still a blast.

Had this dream Ogen was my roommate and that I was gonna buy this game until I realized that I would just borrow it from Ogen when he wasn't playing it. Shit man

So far the only map I don't like is wasteland. And it's not even bad. It's just kind of average in comparison to everything else.

Terminal is easily my favorite.

Just finished the SP campaign. Wow. One of the best single player experiences ever. Amazing story.

Question about the multiplayer...

I was in a party with one of my friends and we were set to play Team Deathmatch and it takes you off party chat and to ingame chat. Is there a way to get it back to just you and your party talking or is that only in a different mode.

Only ground war has party chat I think.

Mercenary Team Deathmatch as well. Not sure what other modes.

I dit in about 6 hours. Pretty short, but spec ops makes up for that.

Well been playing on it for about 8 hours straight, that'll do for a few hours I think. Fucking hell some game though, got myself up to level 10 on MP and now playing the single player missions which are fantastic even if the gameplay to them is a bit samey.

They do seem too, always too many enemies even without respawning would be my criticism. Would be more fun with harder but less of them.

Played the SP this morning since PSN was down apparently. Ended up finishing it in 4 hours. Loved it. Price is a crazy bastard.

Was playing Underpass. Got my first Emergency Airdrop. Excitedly used it. Didn't look up. All 4 crates landed on the overpass :|

Got to call in the pavlow a couple times. That and the harrier strike usually rack me up a ton of kills. Went 38-7 on terminal because of them. Went from 7-0 to 20-0 in the span of three minutes, after calling in the harriers.

Dunno if they actually changed it or I'm just better, but the M4A1 is beastly in this game.

Also doing some nice work with the RPD. Silencers on LMGs are lovely.

Yeah LMGs are my weapon of choice, seconded with sniper rifles.

Although I'm really digging the SCAR assault rifle atm.
Especially with the scrambler perk.

I was playing, uh still haven't gotten the names down for the levels, the one where its raining, and watched my teammate drop his airdrop and kill 2 of our teammates.

I love playing this online even though I pretty much suck at it most of the time.

Campaign is much easier than COD 4, yet The Pit was much harder than COD4. Also loving the drones. Great addition.

Really love this game. It definitely lived up to the hype for me. Story is as epic as it gets, Spec Ops is really fun, and multiplayer is intense.

Story mode really draws out emotions while your playing which is always a good thing. After I beat it I turned around and started a new one its just so much fun.

The customization in multiplayer is nuts, I feel overwhelmed with the choices of perks and attachments I can use. Mostly been sticking with the ACR assault rifle with Sleight of hand, Stopping power, and Steady Aim. Favorite new perk is definitely bling, assault rifle with a grenade launcher and a red dot sight is win. Up to level 51 right now, but plan on gaming through the night with some friends.

Anyways I'm getting off here, and jumping right back into it.

HATE THE HEARTBEAT SENSOR SO FUCKING MUCH WANT TO PUNCH EVERY BABY BORN DURING PRODUCTION THATS LISTED IN THE CREDITS :mad:

Also dissapointed I went from 90k rank to 250k ranked from not playing yesterday :'(

Does the scrambler perk also effect the heartbeat sensor.

No, cold blooded makes you invisible from everything except the heartbeat monitor.

The drop things are way too powerful, was playing earlier won a FFA 30-5 only one other person got to 10 because I managed to grab someone elses pavelow at the start then got one of my own. Can see missle launchers becoming a very common secondary weapon to conteract all the stuff in the air.

So do you need all 3 too be totally utterly invisible? Thats overkill and a half.

I love when people drop their airdrops on themselves. Came around a corner just as the guy died from his air drop, got a pave low out of it :D

Anyone drop a nuke yet or get close to it? I get to 10 in row and generally die, never gonna get it.

I got 25 in a row, thanks to harriers and a pavlow, but I hadn't unlocked the nuke yet.

Played an offline session with Khuntri and one other. Pretty fun, WITHOUT PERKS. We really like Terminal. Probably gonna play this offline from now on.

Dug myself out of a huge hole just now. I was about 150 kills back to get to 1:1 because I was dicking around with the riot shield trying to get those challenges. Dead even right now though thanks to a 42-13 game and another 30-something game.

Kalyx what is your problem with perks exactly?

When I play an FPS, there's certain elements that I believe makes for a genral shooting game in regards to gameplay. These elements can be found in real gun fights - no matter how outlandish a shooter may be (you still need to take cover in Halo).

Here comes CoD with Perks that negate these fundamentals. I will say one, and only one, scenario to elaborate my issues with this feature:

There's a sniper housed up in a window, right? He's picking off the other team willy-nilly and he's racking up points. Everything's all good. That is until somebody finds him and coordinates a flank with a teammate to shut him down. Now let's evaluate this event from a CoD game and a respectable game.

- In CoD, this fucker may have a Perk that keeps him invisible from radar even has he shoots his sniper rifle. GAY

- In CoD, even if someone were to get the drop on him, he may have an armor Perk that gives him an extra half-second to retaliate and take out his enemy.

- In CoD, things like flanking and ambushes are complicated by buffers that can change an otherwise expected outcome.

So what does Infinity Ward do? They make counter-Perks. All this does if create that exploitation arms race I spoke about - when it could be solved by NOT. HAVING. PERKS.

Perks make an otherwise great FPS (we had fun without them) into an annoying... joke. And in no way can someone say they had more fun than we did with Perks. That is of course if we were arguing fun. We're talking about game balance and elements that betray the underlying engine of a certain genre. It's like Madden Cards that do silly shit like increase fumbles and make certain players faster or stronger. From what I know the Madden community don't like that shit. And I feel like Perks in CoD make the game into a joke, riddled with 'chance' outcomes like, "I hope he doesn't have armor" or "I hope we can find this guy since he's not on radar."

This to me isn't skill, it's Fiesta Mode in Halo. A party feature, not to be taken as seriously as most of the CoD community takes it. I actually respect CoD as a military strategy game, but NOT with Perks on. Than it's Smash Bros.

Sounds like Kalyx sucks at first person shooters that aren't over hyped garbage like Halo.
