Hi Jon D:

Fignuts 04-13-2009 12:51 AM

I have to say, when X-23,first came on the scene, I thought she was stupid and unoriginal. But thanks to a lot of great writing in the books she's featured in, I no longer dislike her. I'm not a huge fan or anything, but her portrayal in x-force has me interested at least.

You see, .44, we have opinions. Your opinion is appreciated, but when it aims to discredit me for whatever reason - we have an issue. "Nerds like you" and bullshit like that. Where's that shit come from? So yeah, I call you out as some spineless fence straddler who refutes for the ecstasy of it all. Something like BCWWF but more entertaining. Because you just keep going, man.

You and me... It's gonna be like this forever. An epic dance of great justice vs lolz, us switching sides at every whim. We can't fight it, it's law.

So shut the fuck up and fall in line.

Why are you mentioning me in a thread like this? You fucking loser.

Appreciate the name drop, duck. You wouldn't mind if I said, "...Hey, that's a great point. BCWWF makes great points as well." Any promotion is good promotion, unless it's some direct insult or whatever. In this case it was a light-heart off comment deal, nothing worth coming in and calling somebody a fucking loser.

But being that it seems to chew you up anyway, I'll be referencing you by name from now on. Sort of like that post I made in this thread where I mentioned BCWWF.

Kalyx triaD 04-13-2009 10:52 PM

Plans for Iron Man 3 were discussed, BTW.

Havent really read anything with Deadpool in it but it looks like a promising chrachter to me.

Wasnt quite so impressed with the way Gambit was portrayed but that may be more to do with my own pre conceptions than anything and it is only a trailer.

I will defo give this a watch, probably at the movies to not just DVD release as I often wait for.

Destor 04-20-2009 03:05 AM

I want a deadpool film

Destor 04-20-2009 03:05 AM

with Ryan renolds in the costume

Kalyx triaD 04-20-2009 03:06 AM

With Bruce Willis as Cable.

Destor 04-20-2009 03:59 AM

nice

Fignuts 04-20-2009 04:39 PM

Bruce Willis would actually make an excellent cable, yeah. I dunno if he'd work in a deadpool movie though. I think he'd be better in another x-men movie along with apocalypse.

Other characters in a deadpool movie would prolly be weasel, siryn, t-ray, and blind al. Maybe Typhoid Mary and taskmaster too, but that's stretching it.

Funky Fly 04-20-2009 05:18 PM

Taskmaster, especially if he's all like during the Agent X series would be a pretty good addition.

Also, camera tricks to make Willis look like a giant.

The Destroyer 04-20-2009 05:25 PM

I love Tasky. But I'd want his proper costume, not the Agent X version. :y:

Funky Fly 04-20-2009 05:33 PM

Be honest, Baird. You want to see him and Moon Knight have some dirty, dirty hero/villain sex.

Fignuts 04-20-2009 05:34 PM

His proper costume would look goofy onscreen. Would look better if it was closer to the agent x one. Mask is sicccccc as well. It's not as if he is some iconic character like superman or anything, so acostume change is fine, so long as they keep the skull mask in some form or another.

Well we're getting a hacked version of Emma Frost (so much for my Heather Locklear fan-casting), and the lack the 'White Queen' of it all bothers me. Then again she could change into that character should Fox revisit the Singer timeline (which they won't - damn X-Men flashback/reboot). Still looks like a good time. But with all these mutant cameos, why cut out kid-Storm's scene?

Kalyx triaD 05-05-2009 12:20 PM

Wolverine Will Be In Japan (Superherohype Copy Pasta):

Quote:

Fox and Seed are in development on a sequel to "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," which topped the domestic box office over the weekend.

The Seed partners (Jackman and another) have begun planning the sequel, which they are squarely focusing on the samurai storyline originated in the comic series, and whose Japanese locale was teased after the film's final credits. A writer has yet to be hired. Seed will produce.

Kalyx triaD 05-06-2009 06:22 AM

Shhhhhhhhhh:

The Deadpool movie has been greenlit. But we should have guessed that... The two post-credit scenes (and there are only two, not 3 or more - end discussion), were pretty much teasers for Deadpool and Wolverine 2. The scenes were specific to their set-ups; Wolverine goes to Japan and the Merc gets his Mouth back, addressing the audience in that Deadpool style.

Gotta say I'm more excited about the Deadpool venture, mostly because of Ryan's involvement. If his past interviews are any hint, he's gunning the shit talking, fourth wall breaking, pop culture spouting, merc we all know. His elevator/mini-massacre scenes are just the tip of the iceberg.

This also mean Fox continues its dead-lock on mutants, I suppose.

Dave Youell 05-06-2009 07:11 AM

Wait,

So a full Deadpool film or Deadpool in Wolverine 2, i'm confussed

A movie based on the Deadpool character starring Ryan Reynolds, who played the role in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, is being developed by Fox, according to the Hollywood trades. This is in addition to the Wolverine sequel in development (see “Wolverine Sequel?) and a Magneto film currently planned for 2011.

Reynold’s Deadpool character was featured in one of two special Easter eggs after the credits (see “Two Wolverine Endings”) of Wolverine.

Ok explain to me whats going on again. I watched the bootleg version that wasnt finished. I thought i saw Storm in this. What did they add? What are they doing and does the Wolverine movie still suck as bad as the bootleg version? Did they reshoot Gambit's cajun accent?

Jeritron 05-06-2009 01:14 PM

I pretty much couldn't stop laughing at how Deadpool looked at the end with Ryan Reynolds in bad makeup

Impact! 05-06-2009 02:00 PM

According to the credits it wasn't Reynolds (dunno though)

Reynolds played Deadpool in make up, some of the more extreme martial arts was done by Scott Atkins.

Funky Fly 05-18-2009 01:45 AM

I'm just saying they better not make him look like a joke.

Jeritron 05-18-2009 02:05 AM

Are they for real? Aside from the look (which I disagree with), it's also a huge under-casting as far as name goes.
With Ed Norton and Robert Downey Jr. playing the Avengers so far, they've really been focusing on gettting great actors with reputations for being such.
They have gone "cool" with their heroes, casting actors with cult followings. The types that fall into the "favorite actor" category for young movie fans.

To cast a relative unknown seems a bit risky for a superhero movie in general, where the title character in effect carries the film and the franchise.
Never really seen something like this. Even the most low-key superheroes are usually casted with star-power in mind.
I'm not cricizing his competence as an actor, since that is yet to be seen. It just seems like a huge fuck-up from all other standpoints.

I was really hoping for Daniel Craig myself.

Jeritron 05-18-2009 02:07 AM

and with the success of Trek, I wouldn't have ruled out Chris Pine as a Captain America possibility.
Now I would though.

It might have been cool to see Pine take a big leader role, fresh off the success of Star Trek, surrounded by a cast of favorites. It would be a big launching pad for what could be a new "it" actor.

Fignuts 05-18-2009 02:10 AM

To be honest tho, out of all the avengers, thor probably requires the least amount of acting talent.

Just needs to be able to scream, "I SAY THEE, NAY!", and swing his big hammer around.

Literally, his hammer. Not his penis, like you were probably thinking.

Jeritron 05-18-2009 02:11 AM

Yea but does this guy look like an intimidating Norse warrior who's been through hell? He definitely isn't rough and tough

Jeritron 05-18-2009 02:17 AM

Verdict is still out on how the Avengers movie goes anyways. Are the actors thus far locked for it?
I just get a feeling that it could fall through, or fall apart. There are a lot of variables in a long road to doing something that's never really been done before.
Writing a script that includes that many characters that is actually good is the first obstacle.
Picking the right director is the second.
Satisfying all the egos involved is possibly the biggest hurdle

and whatever the budget is will likely be hard on production. They may have to cut corners.

The first mistake they have made is hiring Joe Johnston to direct the launch movie for the whole thing, setting up the lead character.
Verdict is still out on how well this kid and Kenneth Branagh can do their job. And the casting of Captain America will be a big factor.

I don't know. Having him swing his hammer and yell "I SAY THEE, NAY" without it being unintentionally hilarious is sort of critical. If the actor in question can't sit you down and make you take his being a Norse thunder god seriously... well, it's going to fall on its face, and hard.

Reynolds Dead Serious About Deadpool:

Ryan Reynolds says early discussions with the studio are leaving him confident that they want the Deadpool solo film to be as close to the comic-book material as possible. He adds, "I will husk-fuck a herd of cattle to bring Wade Wilson to life as the real deal." And no, I don't know what that means either. Is it a corn thing? And he adds that there's no reason that a Deadpool movie would need to have much connection with the Wolverine movie, where he got decapitated. The biggest villain in a Deadpool movie will always be Deadpool, Reynolds says, and the movie should be pop-savvy and self-aware, like the comics.

Rammsteinmad 06-01-2009 12:01 PM

Yeah that be the greatest thing ever!!! Though Deadpool didn't get hardly any screentime in Wolverine (where he was speaking anyway), I thought Reynolds was wonderful. The "fingernails of a bag lady" and "ok, people are dead" lines cracked me up.

Also, if it was self-aware like the comics would be freakin' awesome! There should be a cameo from someone so Deadpool could say something like "didn't I kill you in that other guys movie?" or something like that.
