So Smackdown need some workers, just offered a few people contracts

LOL Scotty and Rikishi break up over a game

The Mackem 05-19-2004 05:19 AM

There must be an option where you can set the commentators for the whole show, right?

Disturbed316 05-19-2004 12:27 PM

Yeah

You go to your promotion > calendar

Then click on the show name. It will then come up with the information about the show. Click on business > announcers and then you select them. Save all changes and then you dont have to keep choosing your comentators each time.

Oh yes, I'm the man

The Mackem 05-19-2004 12:31 PM

That's great I knew there'd be a way but I turned it off after I booked Smackdown last night.

The Mackem 05-19-2004 02:07 PM

How do you change the brand of a TV show? I've "ended" Velocity and now I want Heat so it's not brand exclusive.

Disturbed316 05-19-2004 04:40 PM

Do the same as you did to get to the annoucer bit I told you earlier, but click on request changes instead :y:

Disturbed316 05-19-2004 04:43 PM

Yeah, just signed Sting.

Bad Blood is the next event, I think I'll debut him then.

Cactus Sid 05-19-2004 06:33 PM

Oh god. Sting does my head in. He is ALWAYS unfit.

The Mackem 05-19-2004 07:22 PM

Right I've decided the fans are idiots.

Ont he back of John Cena having a weak gimmick. They were'nt happy with Edge's, Shawn Michaels, J.R's or Jerry Lawler's on Raw. Jazz wasn't listed as a female so I had to change my womens match.

The Mackem 05-19-2004 07:24 PM

On the plus side I used a storyline for the first time for the Number 1 contendership and that's got an interest level of 80.4%...would have been higher if not for the fans wanting J.R and Lawler to have gimmicks

The Mackem 05-20-2004 06:21 AM

Just realised that I used Val Venis in the aftermath of the womens match instead of Victoria ;doh:

Cactus Sid 05-20-2004 07:48 AM

Yep, plus you got the wrong belt

Eric Bischoff came to the ring, and announced that Chris Jericho, Kane, Shawn Michaels, and Triple H would fight in a four way match, with the winner becoming #1 contender for the WWE Heavyweight title.

It should be World Heavyweight

The Mackem 05-20-2004 08:49 AM

Yeah I changed that when I posted it on TPWW. I accidentally put it as the Intercontinental on the game

Disturbed316 05-20-2004 01:00 PM

I think I'm going to change all the PPV's to 2 hours long, I just end up putting so much crap in trying to fill up 3 hours.

The Mackem 05-20-2004 01:15 PM

Only 2 hours for a PPV? Your ripping the people off

Disturbed316 05-20-2004 05:49 PM

Last night's WWE Smackdown! show got an overall rating of 69.4%.

Sorry, your application to become owner of World Wrestling Entertainment has been rejected. I am happy in my current position, and am not looking to leave.

The TV viewing figures for last night are now in: WWE recieved 1,122,165 viewers for WWE Smackdown! (increase of 8,060 viewers from previous show);

Bubba Ray Dudley and Michael Cole have become good friends recently.

Dave Finlay has left due to contract expiry.

Disturbed316 05-20-2004 05:50 PM

Yeah I know :o

I get stuck for ideas sometimes though :-\

The Mackem 05-20-2004 06:46 PM

I had another crap Smackdown. I've had to have Jacqueline drop the WWE CW title because she can't defend it because she doesn't meet the regulations :wtf:

RaveX have screwed up there, that needs sorting out. Smackdown needs some talent :(

Disturbed316 05-20-2004 07:31 PM

So are you trying to follow the current storylines in the WWE?

The Mackem 05-20-2004 07:36 PM

At the moment I've got no choice, especially on Smackdown seeing as they only have about 20 wrestlers or something :(

Raw's a bit better but I need more wrestlers overall methinks. Takes too damn long to sign people

I'll start doing different things in a bit though, I was just starved of creativity. Bad Blood is next and I've got nothing in the run up to it except a four way title match. :(

Disturbed316 05-20-2004 07:48 PM

Yeah, I'm finding hard to do things on Smackdown which doesn't involve the upper-midcard and main event guys.

Raw is a piece of piss to book, so much better and interesting. I think I may 'trade' afew guys over from Raw onto Smackdown, just to give it abit more depth.

Not sure who yet though.

Cactus Sid 05-21-2004 08:58 AM

Cactus Sid 05-21-2004 09:02 AM

God, so many posts in a row :$

Just thought I'd mention that I made some nasty comments towards Low-Ki, and no he hates me :(

The Mackem 05-21-2004 11:04 AM

When do you get the chance to do that?

Disturbed316 05-21-2004 12:41 PM

Yeah, you must be playing for hours on end.

Cactus Sid 05-21-2004 01:08 PM

I sent myself to do an interview, and slagged him off, it wasn't my choice :(

Also, I hardly ever play it, its usually when I have an idea, I have the sudden need to play it. I haven't booked a card in days.

Cactus Sid 05-21-2004 01:08 PM

I have better things to do.....

I.E downloading music to get my collection back up and running, unfortunatly, its taken me about 8 hours and I've only just finished A

The Mackem 05-21-2004 01:27 PM

Not that much was missed. It appears that some US workers such as Chris Jericho, Scott Steiner and Shawn Michaels can't speak English though hmmmm

That's the best one I've booked so far, I actually enjoyed doing it

Last night's WWE RAW show got an overall rating of 76.1%.

The Mackem 05-21-2004 05:47 PM

Jeff Hardy signed up.

Cactus Sid 05-21-2004 05:52 PM

That's a good realistic show, but your work is undone by signing him

Cactus Sid 05-21-2004 05:53 PM

Although I am aware he is on my roster

Disturbed316 05-21-2004 05:53 PM

Nah, Jeff Hardy has done ok some far for me. Maybe its juts my booking talent?

Cactus Sid 05-21-2004 05:54 PM

He's one of my Road Agents

Just for a laugh you understand :shifty:

The Mackem 05-21-2004 05:57 PM

I just needed to sign some people fast and the free agents seem to sign up the fastest without anyone else knicking in and taking them under my nose, so I figured I might as well go for a few free agents. Might go for Hogan :shifty:

The Mackem 05-21-2004 06:00 PM

AJ Styles, Joel Maximo, Jay Briscoe all signed up. I wish the briscoes and maximos had signed up together though. Otherwise I've got two pointless workers without tag partners :(

Disturbed316 05-21-2004 06:07 PM

I need to hire more backstage staff and refs for Smackdown, dunno where to start though :$

The Mackem 05-21-2004 06:08 PM

Man counter offer for Jose Maximo, I'm going to have to offer him more, his brother will be jealous :(

The Mackem 05-21-2004 06:09 PM

What do you guys think I should do, Jeff Hardy on Smackdown or Raw?

AJ is going to Smackdown.

Cactus Sid 05-21-2004 06:15 PM

Hardyz would be a better idea than shoving Jeff into the cruiser division

The Mackem 05-21-2004 06:15 PM

Let's do this

Disturbed316 05-21-2004 06:16 PM

I put Jeff on Raw, I also put AJ on Smackdown. He's my current Cruiserweight champ

Cactus Sid 05-21-2004 06:18 PM

I might start doing some cards in a mo

But the appeal of downloading music is great

The Mackem 05-21-2004 06:21 PM

Doing a Smackdown, Lesnar's return

Disturbed316 05-21-2004 06:22 PM

What did you offer Lesnar?

or did you use Sid's trick?

Cactus Sid 05-21-2004 06:22 PM

If it was real business, I'd hype it for a PPV, try and pop a buy-rate

Disturbed316 05-21-2004 06:31 PM

Yeah, I dont think you can do that on TEW though can you?

Cactus Sid 05-21-2004 06:34 PM

Nope

You could hype the debut, and then have him arrive at the PPV

Maybe there is an authority angle, I dunno

The Mackem 05-21-2004 06:36 PM

How do turns work in this game?

Disturbed316 05-21-2004 06:36 PM

Maybe that a worker is going to appear at the next show or something

The Mackem 05-21-2004 06:37 PM

Nah Lesnar's returning on Smackdown, I can't do with Smackdown having no focus it's getting annoying and a chore to book Smackdown without focus. besides I've already started booking it :p

Cactus Sid 05-21-2004 06:39 PM

To turn people, you have to ask them if they are prepared to turn, and then say you'll turn them.

You then have to put them in either a potential turning angle (i.e backstage attack) or in a match, with a turn aftermath.

Cactus Sid 05-21-2004 06:40 PM

Oh, you get a little box that says "Deal With Turns" and then you can turn them to either Tweener or full-pledged Face/Heel

The Mackem 05-21-2004 06:44 PM

Right cheers Sid :y:

Dudleys are still faces and I want them to turn heel next Smackdown

Cactus Sid 05-21-2004 06:47 PM

Anyone ever thought about putting a band on the game to do a band angle

The Mackem 05-21-2004 06:50 PM

yeah, you're right. I just liked the idea, he should have probably beat up better people that might have been more effective and less workers.

BREAKING NEWS: M-A-G Retires As Head of WWE
Reported by Harry Balsac

M-A-G shocked employees and wrestlers alike in his federation when he unenthusiastically revealed that he would no longer be involved in the WWE in anyway, creative or otherwise. M-A-G took the reigns of the WWE in May of 2003 and turned it into "his own WWE" as he emphasized at the time. Now, in July of 2025, M-A-G has guided his WWE through over 20 years of both hardship and prosperity seeing them all come and go all while paving the way for the future stars of wrestling be it in the WWE or otherwise.

M-A-G's personal assistant, Sophie, was one of the first to be told about this monumental decision. "I just remember him being very grim and gloomy when he told us," she comments. "It was me and some of the senior road agents in his office. We didn't know how to react or what to say. We just knew that there was something going on inside him that he was reluctant to reveal."

They were right. M-A-G cited "severe disinterest" during his announcement speech at the weekly meeting with the staff and workers. He felt that he had done all that he had wanted to do and all that he could do with the company and just needed to step away from it and return to the humble life as a fan. WWE Champion Chris Sylvain commented, "It was surreal. I was expecting him to pull some kind of prank or come clean with a rib but he was dead serious. I didn't know how to handle that information. I mean this is a guy who literally walked up to me during my years of training in his camp and said 'You're going to be big'." Indeed, M-A-G was very integral in bringing new stars to the front of his company, many from his own camp and developmental territory including Reiko, Rayne, Garrett, Brian York, The Thug Life Soldiers, and a host of female athletes who helped turned women's wrestling around. WWE Women's Champion Jodie Marie stated, "[women's wrestling] was a joke, almost an insult to human intelligence before M-A-G stepped in and put the effort into making the fans care about what the division had to offer. It was an untapped resource and none of us would've gotten the chances we had outside of his guidance and pushing."

M-A-G is also revered for cleaning up the business by eliminating politics and ridding the company of deadwood and primadonnas as well as giving chances to the little guys, most notably, former mid-card resident, Test, who skyrocketed his way to 7 Intercontinental Title reigns, 5 Tag Team Title reigns, 3 European Title reigns and 5 WWE Championship reigns, something he hadn't fathomed before the M-A-G adminstration kicked in. "Most people are going to say, or rather DID say, 'Oh, he's one of M-A-G's boys, he doesn't deserve this, he's just one of his guy's'," Test said, "But he made it clear to me and everyone else he gave a chance to that it was in good stride and finding what works and what was best. Hell, Brock Lesnar wasn't one of 'his boys' and he ended up having a job for about 10 years until finally getting canned."

But that was then. Now comes the inevitable future. Originally, M-A-G had decided to just give it up but now plans to stay on to see his plans for SummerSlam 2025 bear fruit. Among the superstars slated for the annual extravaganza are WWE Intercontinental Champion Sean Criss, WWE Champion Chris Sylvain, Goldberg, WWE European Champion Seven, Simon Diamond, Apocalypse, Mourn, Cruiserweight Champion Derek Standish and more. After SummerSlam, M-A-G will then allow one of closest associates Kevin "Big Vito" Busch takeover his former duties and alot of people are already saying he has big shoes to fill and are worried about any changes that might be made. PPV announcer and booking team member Shawn Michaels stated, "I'm pretty sure I can name off at least 10 people that won't have jobs come September. I know Kevin Busch and so does the locker room and that's causing some jitters."

This reporter was able to get some comments from other workers and ex-workers who were invited to the meeting.

Chris Benoit (retired): "It's a shock but at the same time, you kind of feel for the guy. He's been good to the guys and the locker room and the business and I wish him the best and I thank him."

Reiko (left the company): "I was among the guys that was told by M-A-G that we were going to be huge and he didn't lie. I wouldn't be where I was without him and all these guys still in that locker room were very fortunate to have him as their boss. Not to say everything was all cookies and cream but there was more good than bad."

Kim Roderick: "I thought I was going in for an update in my storyline and I open the door to the office and there's all these people there and I'm like, 'What's going on?' The news just...it was just heavy cause I know I owe alot to him and his administration and the staff he hired to train me and the rest of the women as well. I'm going to miss him and it's going to be weird without him."

AJ Styles: "Meh, I hang with him on the weekend's anyway but it doesn't suck any less."

The Rock: "He was a pain in the ass, that's all I'm going to say."

Triple H (released): "F</>uck him, he fired my wife and jobbed me out for the better part of a decade. I'm glad he's going."

M-A-G is still expected to be in constant communication with the staff and has left the doors open to Kevin Busch for consulting. No plans are in the works to have him appear as an on-screen character after SummerSlam.
