Mr. Nerfect 04-24-2016 09:18 PM

Would rather see ROH have a Pure Title than the TV Title, to be honest.

Simple Fan 04-24-2016 10:09 PM

I really think they could bring the PURE title back while having the TV title. I like the TV title though, and think Jay Lethal did wonders with it. Could use the PURE title for young guys like Dijack, Dalton Castle, and Adam Page.

Mr. Nerfect 04-25-2016 05:41 AM

I honestly haven't seen much of the ROH TV Title, but just in principle I think it's too similar to the World Title. I think the Pure Title would at least represent something different and unique to the company. Plus, look at it's lineage -- AJ Styles defeating CM Punk in the finals to become the first champion, Jay Lethal, Samoa Joe, Daniel Bryan -- a lot of those guys mean something to fans flipping over now. You can have commentary credit it for helping to craft their success.

Give it a couple of weeks of highlight videos showcasing the best of what it meant, then have Tomohiro Ishii (as Television Champion) wrestle the winner of a Pure Rules Tournament. I'd suggest Kyle O'Reilly. Put O'Reilly over and have Ishii go back to the Japan while O'Reilly gets focus in a division playing to his strengths.

Mr. Nerfect 04-25-2016 05:42 AM

TNA also really need to get rid of the King of the Mountain Title. Fuck's sake, how many times has that title changed names and rules. Have the World Title, Women's Title, X-Division Title and Tag Titles.

Simple Fan 04-25-2016 09:05 AM

Yeah, hate the King of the Mountian title. Really thought they were going to give it to Jarrett. Wouldn't be as ridiculous if it wasn't defended in regular matches. Just wish it would go back to the TV title. It's been the TNA Legends title. the TNA Global title, TNA TV title, and now the King of the Mountian title. Wouldn't mind if they just abandoned it and focused more on the X division.

You can blame Jay Lethal for that, really did great things with the TV title. Dude has had a championship around his waist for over 2 years now. I like the PURE rules but it being combined with the ROH World title I'm not sure they would bring it back.

Mr. Nerfect 04-27-2016 07:43 AM

When are ROH going to get the money together for a Jay Lethal vs. Kurt Angle ROH World Title match?

Mr. Nerfect 04-27-2016 07:44 AM

They also need to get The Briscoes and The Hardys together for a redneck tag team brothers match. If they put those on the same PPV, I'd probably find a way to buy it.

Mr. Nerfect 04-27-2016 07:47 AM

Put The Young Bucks vs. The Motor City Machine Guns on that PPV too. :y:

Mr. Nerfect 04-27-2016 07:48 AM

And pay Ronda Rousey half of Sinclair's money to come in for an NWA World Women's Championship match against Amber Gallows.

Mr. Nerfect 04-27-2016 07:48 AM

If they can bring in Ricochet for a match against Rey Mysterio before he goes back to AAA, that would be swell too.

Mr. Nerfect 04-27-2016 07:57 AM

ROH World Championship
Jay Lethal (c) vs. Kurt Angle

NWA World Women's Championship
Amber Gallows (c) vs. Ronda Rousey

ROH World Television Championship
Tomohiro Ishii (c) vs. Roderick Strong

ROH World Tag Team Championship
The Briscoes (c) vs. The Hardys

ROH Pure Championship Tournament Finals
Kyle O'Reilly vs. Adam Cole

Fight Without Honor
Silas Young vs. Dalton Castle

Michael Elgin vs. Moose

Rey Mysterio vs. Ricochet

The Young Bucks vs. The Motor City Machine Guns

Dark Match/DVD Bonus/Free Stream Lead-In
War Machine vs. The Addiction

Highest grossing ROH PPV of all-time.

that was as dumb as how wcw ended goldburgs streak. good idea kill your biggest draw right as you try to sell your company.

Simple Fan 04-28-2016 03:20 PM

I don't think it was dumb. He's had a hell of a run and had Bennett beat before Maria got involved. Mike Bennett sold the win as a shocker and EC3 still looks strong.

Mr. Nerfect 04-28-2016 09:46 PM

Love that Maria is still in the wrestling business.

TNA has announced on Twitter that they’ve signed Caleb Konley and Sienna (Allysin Kay on the independent circuit) and re-signed Robbie E to a new contract.

SlickyTrickyDamon 04-29-2016 09:02 PM

ROH had a bomb scare at their office today.

Simple Fan 04-29-2016 09:07 PM

That happened yesterday. Dude was shot but still alive, had wires strapped to him.

Jordan 04-30-2016 10:02 AM

So I decided to check in on ROH for the first time in a few years... holy shit, it was just what I needed. Filmed at Korakeun Hall, awesome atmosphere and the opening match was a tag with Lethal and Naito vs Okada and Yoshi Hashi... fucking amazing. Lethal and Okada were AMAZING together....

It's just what I've needed to see in some rasslin latley. I'll keep watching. I love the NJPW crossover.

Jordan 04-30-2016 10:05 AM

I will say that Jay Lethal's corn row's make him look like a bum. He should be as extravagant as Okada. Come off like a bigger star, he comes off pretty basic in his entrance.

Simple Fan 04-30-2016 02:10 PM

Love the House of Truths entrance music though.

Mr. Nerfect 05-01-2016 11:14 PM

If New Japan wants to get more of a presence in the United States, I'd love to see them work more with ROH and get put on that new network Sinclair bought. Get TNA and pluck the talent worth a shit and either use them in New Japan or ROH. Bobby Lashley in Japan? The Hardys against The Briscoes? Yes, please.

Mr. Nerfect 05-01-2016 11:15 PM

Sinclair should make a proper play at Kurt Angle and Rey Mysterio too.

What Would Kevin Do? 05-01-2016 11:17 PM

If Sinclair can buy TNA...

God that would be amazing.

Mr. Nerfect 05-01-2016 11:20 PM

They should really float more money into their wrestling ventures. Keeping TNA alive with a bit of re-branding might actually work out for them. A lot of talent in the world doesn't really fit the ROH vibe and style. I could see James Storm coming in as kind of an outlaw heel, but I'm not sure how they will explain Lashley not being A1 in that universe, you know?

Plus, Dave Bautista seems to have a few frustrations with the WWE at the moment. If they could convince him to work a few PPVs a year, they could draw some attention and make some moolah. Bautista vs. Goldberg -- groan at the match quality all you want, don't deny that it doesn't have that star power. Throw Angle vs. Mysterio lower on that card and you have a show people won't miss.

Ruien 05-02-2016 07:29 AM

I would so miss that show.

erickman 05-02-2016 07:35 AM

wonder what hapens with abyss with his sports med degree from ohio i see wwe hireing him with out him having to wrestle for them.

Lashley has spent time in Japan with IGF. ROH and NJPW have a real good working relationship and show off NJPW stars well. A TNA/ROH merger would be great. TNA has a weak tag division and ROH has probably the best tag division in the world. ROH would gain a much needed group of main event talent as well.

Mr. Nerfect 05-09-2016 07:28 PM

Jay Lethal vs. Bobby Lashley for the ROH World Championship would be an interesting feud for Lethal, just because he's been such a stoic champion, and now here's this beast for him to overcome.

Adam Cole is a good choice for a new member. Adam Page has also joined. Don't know much about him, but there are too many "Adams" and "Pages" in independent wrestling.

Simple Fan 05-10-2016 02:47 PM

I guess Page joined at a TV taping? Know it didn't happen at Global Wars. I like it anyways. Feel like Page and Cole are very similar with Cole being superior. Think they are great additions to Bullet Club and are maybe an ROH wing, could see a few more guys joining if that's the case. Cole definitely has leadership potential but I'm not sure what they would do Omega.

Simple Fan 05-31-2016 12:00 PM

Matt Taven says he's going to rebuild The Kingdom. Could see Matt Sydal, Will Ferrera, and Rhett Titus being candidates. Could also see Bennett returning if he didn't sign a long term deal with TNA and is up at the end of the year.

Rollermacka 06-01-2016 01:09 AM

Not just because I'm slightly bias...... butt I really like Al Snow's "bitter grizzled vet" gimmick he's doing right now. A lot of throwbacks I know feel like that about the current product and I don't disagree.

Again personally, I've been a Pepper Parks fan for awhile now. I do like the idea of them dropping "the body" gimmick (considering they already have like 25 guys on the roster with that gimmick) and he's doing a "last ditch effort" gimmick of him making it in the wrestling business. Him being signed at 35 isn't "completely unheard of" (the guy is in amazing shape) but the idea behind his gimmick, it intrigues me

Mr. Nerfect 06-01-2016 02:22 AM

I saw a picture of Pepper Parks on their roster website. The guy looks like a thousand bucks. If TNA folded I wouldn't be opposed to seeing him form a team with Tye Dillinger. They both sort of have that journeyman story, both look great, and if Parks needs some more polish in the ring, Dillinger can certainly help with that.

Another potential ally for Parks in that vein is Damien Sandow. TNA are fools if they don't try and get him on board for something.

Simple Fan 06-01-2016 01:39 PM

I like Parks to I think his new name is Braxton Sutton. I'd like to see him interfere in the EC3/Bennett match on Bennetts behalf. Think him and Bennett would make a good tag team and they already have his wife Allie(Cherry Bomb) working with Maria.

Dont see what TNA sees in Raquel, basically only using her because she was on Tough Enough. She's not ready for TV and looked lost at ringside. They have her playing a Guru for BroMans which makes plenty of sense considering shes never even wrestled a match.

Well, Raquel is coming off her "15 mins of fame" and kinda gives off a Sofía Vergara vibe, which probably would of been more useful like 5 years ago when Modern Family was the biggest show around but still.....
I will give her some credit, she did train at the Wild Samoan School after Tough Enough. So when you add it up, former Reality TV star, IBBF Pro, trained at a credible wrestling school (local to Florida).... I can see why they hired her.

A lot of people are shtting on the Matt/ Jeff segment that ended the night (I'm just gonna say I DVRed through it) but I really liked this one. I feel like they kinda wanted to do this "gimmick" with Adam Pearce like 5 years ago (when he did that Gut Check match) but it fell though for various reasons. Braxton can work, great body (said in the most hedro way possible ), and I would prefer to see him get a good singles run so he can feud with guys like EC3 and Bennett as opposed to teaming with them (TNA does need more main event level singles stars)

Simple Fan 06-01-2016 05:19 PM

It think the perfect way to go with him would to team with Bennett for a bit maybe even win the Tag titles and eventually have him grow tired of Bennett and have him and Allie battle Bennett and Maria as TNAs power couple and then start his singles run. I feel TNA needs a lot more depth in the Tag division.

Simple Fan 06-01-2016 05:23 PM

Hiroshi Tanahashi spoke with Sports Illustrated for a new interview. The highlights are below:

On his goals for 2016: “I hope to become Ring of Honor world champion. If I get the opportunity to become champion, then I’ll come back to the United States every month and wrestle. Soon, I will also challenge [IWGP heavyweight champion] Naito. Unlike Naito, I respect the IWGP championship belt. For now, I am focused on Kenny Omega.”

On facing Kenny Omega in New Japan’s first ladder match: “I’ve watched Shawn Michaels’ ladder match against Razor Ramon for inspiration. Now I fight against Omega in a ladder match in Osaka in a date for the Intercontinental title. Sometimes, Kenny Omega uses second and third members from Bullet Club. But this June, I’m going to beat all of Bullet Club. I wish I had Shawn Michaels in my corner.”

On his favorite wrestler: “When I became a wrestler, I watched Shawn Michaels every night I could. I love Shawn Michaels’s style. Someone once called me the “Japanese Shawn Michaels,” and I was proud to hear that. I’d be too nervous to wrestle him.”

On the status of his shoulder and how he thinks he will fare in the match: “Pro wrestling is a fight. Sometimes, it is entertainment but deeper than that, it is fighting. I have fought many times, many long matches. I have even been hurt by Kenny Omega. I may be hurt, but I’ll be OK–but I’m never tired.”

Was hoping they would do a King of the Mountain match considering it's the King of the Mountain Championship. Another reason they should change it back to the TV title of they are not going to have King of the Mountain matches. I don't even think either one of them has ever been in a King of the Mountain match.

They haven't put James Storm in anything for Slammiversary. Throw him in a King of the Mountain Match with those guys. And...uh...

Mr. Nerfect 06-03-2016 08:55 PM

Would love it if Hiroshi Tanahashi challenged Jay Lethal for the ROH World Title, Lethal won, they shook hands, Tanahashi gets a huge send-off, then Cody Rhodes attacks him from behind...

Simple Fan 06-03-2016 09:16 PM

Lethal has to survive Jey Briscoe first. Really not sure what they'll do at Best in the World but I'd like to see Lethal retain. If Tanahashi wins the IWGP it be cool to have Lethal vs Tanahashi at Wrestle Kingdom where the loser has to drop their title. I couldn't see NJPW wanting Lethal to look stronger than their ace so I couldn't see Lethal winning if the match was for both titles.

Mr. Nerfect 06-03-2016 09:23 PM

You could have Tanahashi win the World Title off Lethal and Jay returning to America a broken man. Someone like Adam Cole could get in his business for failing the company. Well, I think Adam Cole will end up in NXT at the end of the year, but someone could do it. Mike Bennett might be back if TNA folds.

Simple Fan 06-03-2016 09:27 PM

Yes Adam Cole will be in NXT in 2017. Vince is reportedly real high on him and wanted him now but his contracts not up.

Adam Cole Bay Bay

Simple Fan 06-03-2016 09:34 PM

I'd have no problem with Tanahashi having a reign as ROH World Champion. I dont see Lethal lasting til Wrestle Kingdom for my hypothetical match though. I think he'll beat Briscoe but I believe Cole will get another title run before the end of the year. Could see Adam Cole vs Cody Rhodes as Coles ROH send off match before he goes to WWE.

Mr. Nerfect 06-04-2016 12:29 AM

Yeah, I agree that Cole ends up in WWE. I don't think they need to put the ROH World Title on him if that is the case. I certainly wouldn't go back to Jay Briscoe. I'm quite content with Jay Lethal remaining champion until either Wrestle Kingdom or whenever Cody finishes his hit list.

Simple Fan 06-04-2016 12:31 AM

I think there's a lot of potential in him..... I just think he got brought in way too early and exposed before he was ready.

I did think he was much better as a heel as well. Again "if Macka was booking" I'd remove him from tv and send him to Al Snow's wrestling school for like 6 months and have him work on the "basics". Then, I'd find another guy his size or bigger from India or even the Middle East and make them a straight up MONSTER team. For three months straight, no bumps, maybe 3 or 4 minute matches a most, just udder dominance (throws, slams, just straight up viciousness). Then after building them up like that, give them a feud with whoever the tag champs are at that time.

Mr. Nerfect 06-05-2016 11:30 PM

Sounds reasonable. I don't even know if you need to put him with another Asian guy. Shera is young and was basically just starting out when he worked for Ring Ka King. The guy will need a lot more polish.

Simple Fan 06-06-2016 09:46 AM

I'd like to see him in the X division as a Samoa Joe type. I know he's not on Joe's level and probably never will be but that's the role I'd put him in on IMPACT. Not a fan of his teaming with Grado and his dancing shit. Hopefully he turns heel on Grasp but I don't see it happening.

Yea, he doesn't need to be Asian but I just think it would look unique to find another guy size from India or the Middle East to add another dynamic to the "monster team" formula. I know TNA has a working relationship with Khali's school in India..... and I heard they found a 7 ft tall guy who trains at his school (not named Khali)

Braxton can work, great body (said in the most hedro way possible ), and I would prefer to see him get a good singles run so he can feud with guys like EC3 and Bennett as opposed to teaming with them (TNA does need more main event level singles stars)

I was actually kinda surprised that Braxton got such a good reaction from the Impact audience. Never seen him really work face but I was pleasantly surprised. Da guy he wrestled doe..... you know Macka was open for a booking the day they filmed that episode :-\

Khali's Indian promotion would be better off developing a relationship with the WWE.

SlickyTrickyDamon 06-08-2016 11:18 PM

Maybe in the long run. But TNA seems to be desperate and hemorrhaging money. Get on board the gravy train while it lasts.

Mr. Nerfect 06-09-2016 01:32 AM

Yeah, good point.

Mr. Nerfect 06-09-2016 08:08 PM

Slammiversary approaches, Brother Nero.

How do you think this show will come together? I hope the company re-hires Dutch as a booker.

Simple Fan 06-09-2016 08:26 PM

I see Lashley winning the TNA World Heavyweight Championship in the main event. Has to end by knockout or tap out so I hope they don't have Galloway knock him out at least.

I think Jeff wins and Matt turns face after the match and they team again. Hopefully Jeff doesn't break his leg again.

EC3 vs The Miracle is a tough one but I think Bennett wins with some sort of shenanigans. Braxton Sutter said he had plans for Slammiversary and I could see him getting involved in Bennett's behalf.

I expect Eli Drake to retain the King of the Mountian Championship against Bram. Could also see this being what Braxton Sutter was talking about and they find a few other guys and actually have a King of the Mountian match.

Hope the Tribunal beat Grado and Shera.

Gail beats Maria but get a beat down after by all of Maria's lackeys.

I'd like to see Decay beat The BroMans and retain the TNA Tag Team titles.

Don't think there is a X division announced yet. And I think Jade face Siena for the Knockoutsee title.

Mr. Nerfect 06-09-2016 08:58 PM

As far as the X-Division Title goes, I want Eddie Edwards to get a run as champion. Gregory Helms can split from Trevor Lee after the loss and start a feud with him. Get some stories going in that division.

I think Grado & Shera probably win their tag match. Shera is probably a large part of TNA's Indian deal, and it's possible that deal will keep them afloat in the future. I don't expect the Shera push to disappear anytime soon.

Lashley winning the World Title makes sense given that Bellator will want Lashley to be a draw for them, so ruining that against Galloway is pretty stupid. I'd make Jeff Hardy the first challenger to Lashley and have Galloway move down to work with either Bennett or Broken Matt.

Simple Fan 06-09-2016 09:27 PM

I'd be fine with Shera getting a good push I just don't like him with Grado. I've said before I'd like to see him in the X division but I'm not sure he could keep up with the speed of the X division.

Simple Fan 06-09-2016 11:40 PM

X division match is Trevor Lee vs Eddie Edwards vs Adam Everett vs DJ Z. Wouldn't mind seeing Eddie have a run with it while Davey is hurt.

ADAM COLE HOSPITALIZED FOR PNEUMONIA, WILL MISS EVENTS IN HOPKINS AND MILWAUKEE

Adam Cole has been hospitalized in Philadelphia for pneumonia and will be unable to appear at this weekend’s Road to Best in the World events in Hopkins, Minn., and Milwaukee, ROHWrestling.com has learned.

Cole had been scheduled to face Chris Sabin tonight in Hopkins and Colt Cabana tomorrow night in Milwaukee.

Ring of Honor Matchmaker Nigel McGuinness said that he is working on finding replacements for Cole.

Mr. Nerfect 06-12-2016 02:22 AM

Poor Adam Cole.

Mr. Nerfect 06-12-2016 02:24 AM

How good is Bobby Lashley these days? He's got a 4-0 Bellator record and a 14-2 overall MMA record. Do you think there's any chance of him going for their Heavyweight Title soon? I read it's vacant. It'd probably be a good business choice to put him over Drew Galloway at Slammiversary.

Simple Fan 06-12-2016 02:33 AM

Yeah it's vacant and he's probably high on the list for a title shot. TNA would be smart to go with Lashley over Galloway right now.

TNA Slammiversary results
SPOILER: show

-Borash welcomes us to TNA Slammiversary with the entire roster and crew on stage, and leads Orlando in a moment of silence for the victims of this morning’s mass shooting.

X-Division Championship Match
Trevor Lee (c) vs. Andrew Everett vs. Eddie Edwards vs. DJZ

JB announces that Gregory Shane Helms has been banned from ringside by TNA management. We get a partnership early on with Edwards and DJZ teaming up against Helms’ boys. Everett scores the first big move of the match with a springboard corkscrew moonsault over the ropes to take everyone out. The alliances continue for most of the match until Everett tries to pin DJZ and the champion isn’t happy about it. Edwards chops both of them down a few dozen times and almost wins it with a Blue Thunder Bomb. Several late game, chaotic false-finish sequences with some incredible moves by all four guys. Edwards scouts Trevor’s Fisherman’s Buster into a small package to steal it out of nowhere. Winner and NEW CHAMPION: Eddie Edwards.

-We head backstage where JB is with Ethan Carter III. He says Bennett is very good and he was the first person to beat him, but that was the catalyst he needed to become one of the very best professional wrestlers in the world. EC3 goes on a great rant about how Bennett isn’t a “god” but a false prophet, and how he’s coming down Mount Sinai with two fists, ten knuckles and some “old testament vengeance”.

Basile Baraka & Baron Dax vs. Grado & Mahabali Shera

Al Snow does his post-match promo thing, praising Donald Trump and wanting to make pro wrestling great again. The match is fairly back-and-forth, with a lot of double teaming on Grado and trying to keep Shera out of the action as much as possible. Grado has it won at the end, but Al Snow distracts the referee and The Tribunal drops Grado to pick up the win. Winners: Basile Baraka & Baron Dax.

-Gail Kim comes out for her match with Maria, who has a broken hand and cannot compete tonight. Billy Corgan brings out x-rays to prove that Maria’s injury is legitimate. Gail demands a match, so Corgan adds her to the Knockouts Championship match, which is apparently happening next.

Knockouts Championship Match
Jade (c) vs. Sienna vs. Gail Kim

Maria and Allie are watching on from the ramp. Lots of three-way moves and roll-ups until it breaks down to Gail and Jade both going after Sienna. Jade with a possible spot of the match, coming off a springboard into a beautiful tilt-a-whirl DDT, almost immediately followed by a top rope hurricanrana. Gail hits Eat Da Feet on Sienna but is pulled out of the ring by Allie, and goes right after Maria. Sienna is going to hit Jade with the title belt, but Marti Bell shows up out of nowhere and nails the champ with some kind of foreign object; Sienna picks up the pin. Winner and NEW CHAMPION: Sienna.

-James Storm comes to the ring dressed to compete, as JB wonders who he’s in action against tonight. Storm says that 14 years ago a man gave a bunch of kids an opportunity, and now he’s standing here a veteran in the wrestling business after all that time. He says in 14 years he wants to be sitting at home, hearing about how James Storm gave someone the same opportunity, so he will be facing Braxton Sutter tonight on PPV.

James Storm vs. Braxton Sutter

Basic stuff early on with Sutter trying to get in some offense on the veteran. He hits a nice release suplex into the bottom turnbuckle. He runs right into Closing Time, followed by the Last Call superkick and the Cowboy picks up the “W”. The two shake hands and drink beer after the match. Surprisingly, no one turns on anyone, and nothing bad happens at all. Winner: James Storm.
-Eli Drake with a backstage promo to hype the King of the Mountain title match.

King of the Mountain Championship Match
Eli Drake (c) vs. Bram

Drake almost flung himself off the ropes, botching on his entrance. Bram goes absolutely crazy on him as soon as the match starts, fighting up and down the ramp, ripping up the padded floor outside the ring, but Drake back body drops him onto the concrete. Bram barely makes it back into the ring after a (very) extended 10-count, and gets dropped with a running neckbreaker. Back and forth brawling heading into the end; Bram hits his second wind with a big DDT, but Drake rolls to the outside, gets rolled back in, but Drake was playing possum and hits Blunt Force Trauma for three. Winner and still champion: Eli Drake.

Mike Bennett vs. Ethan Carter III

Lots of “no we don’t” and “EC3” chants early on. Ethan is in control from the start until Bennett runs him into the turnbuckle and beats him down on the outside. From there the match is one-sided, slowing down the pace as Bennett drops EC3 with big power moves every time he builds a little momentum, including a DDT off the barricade, and a spinebuster. The Miracle with a cutter, but Carter no-sells it and hits a clotheslines to finally get back into the match. Flapjack into the One-Percenter, but Bennett kicks out at two. The brawl to the apron and EC3 hits the TK3 on the apron but might have hurt himself more with it in the process. Bennett catches him out of the air with a cutter (out of nowhere!) for two. Carter tries for a submission but Mike grabs a hold of the referee and low blows EC3, followed by a big piledriver…again, for two. Carter hits a trio of German suplexes and another One-Percenter, but the ref is distracted by a chair that Maria threw into the ring. He goes after Maria and the ref bails to eject her from ringside, but Bennett takes advantage with the Miracle in Progress onto a chair…for another two-count. EC3 with a second TK3 and a third One-Percenter for the pin. Winner: Ethan Carter III.

Full Metal Mayhem
Broken Matt vs. Brother Nero

Jeff attacks his brother with a trash can as he’s making his entrance. They brawl into the ring and Jeff hits a spear before they go back to the outside to find more toys. Matt sandwiches him into the rails with a ladder, Jeff flattens two trash cans across his back and nearly breaks an extra tall ladder against him. He sets his brother on a table on the floor and Jeff crashes through him with top rope splash for two. Jeff has a one-sided ladder that he extends from one side of the ring all the way to the other, perched between the ropes. Twist of Fate on top of the ladder, followed by another splash that breaks it (and them) in half – another two. Another Twist of Fate attempt but Matt escaped and turns his brother inside out with a lariat, followed by a wicket Side Effect on the apron. Matt goes back under the ring and pulls out… a keyboard? He sets it up between the ring and the barricade and Jeff goes crashing through it with a hard looking powerbomb for two-and-a-half. There’s a teased double table spot to the floor, but both guys end up falling off a ladder into the ropes instead. Jeff is back up first: another Twist of Fate followed by the Swanton for two. They fight to the floor and now it’s time for the double table spot it seems; Jeff puts him through one table with another TOF but apparently neither of these guys can be pinned. He sets up the second table, climbs back into the ring, and comes off the top rope with a Swanton through the table and…gets the pin. Winner: Jeff Hardy.

TNA Tag Team Championship Match
Abyss (c) & Crazzy Steve (c) vs. Robbie E & Jessie Godderz

Robbie ends up flying over the ropes to take out both members of Decay. Rosemary goes after Jessie Godderz, and he picks her up and throws her over the ropes into all three of them. Steve trips Jessie off a springboard and plants him on the apron, and thus starts Abyss slowing down the pace in their corner. After a few minutes Robbie makes the hot tag and the BroMans start their comeback. Rosemary accidentally blinds Abyss with the poison mist and he accidentally chokeslams his own partner. BroMans with their finisher on Steve and Jessie has him tapping out, but Abyss pulls the referee from the ring and hits him with the mist. Rosemary and Raquel go at it which is enough of a distraction for Steve to nail Robbie with the title belts for…. NOPE, Robbie kicks out. They hit Steve with their finisher again and lock in the Boston Crab, but Abyss takes them out, then chokeslams his partner into Godderz for the win. Great, great finish. Winners and still champions: Abyss & Crazzy Steve.

TNA Heavyweight Championship Match
Knock Out or Tap Out
Drew Galloway (c) vs. Bobby Lashley

Galloway on the attack right away, but Lashley comes right back and turns him out with a lariat. Early parts of the match are back and forth with a lot of mat based grappling and submissions. Galloway broke up an armbar attempt with a boot right to face, which actually opens up the challenger the hard way right above his eye. They fight up for a top rope spot, but Galloway drops him down on his face and follows up with a double ax handle, then the Claymore Kick. Another Claymore Kick, followed by another, but on the third attempt Lashley comes out of nowhere with a huge spear. A brawl takes them to the floor where Bobby gets thrown into the ring steps. The champ lifts the big man up and plants a Celtic Cross on top of the steps. He locks in a Sharpshooter on the steps, but for some reason the referee makes him break the hold because he’s in the ropes… and he listens and breaks the hold? Drew brings out a table (because we have no ref consistency, apparently) and puts Lashley on top of it, but ends up crashing and burning through it solo on a tope. Drew is back to his feet at a count of nine, busted open from the forehead. He comes off the top rope but Lashley catches him with an armbar and transitions into a crossface; Galloway somehow gets up and counters the hold into a Tombstone Piledriver. Both men down – Galloway up at a count of five, Lashley up at the last second. He side steps a Claymore Kick and puts the champ in a chokehold; Galloway passes out and the ref calls for the bell. Winner and NEW CHAMPION: Lashley

Mr. Nerfect 06-13-2016 07:24 AM

Sounds like a good direction for the company, to be honest. They do need some good tag teams. I don't really know who are available though. Are The Killer Elite Squad free?

ron the dial 06-13-2016 09:41 AM
