Wondering if he was just a crazy fan or if it was one of the bar owners trying to creep someone out.

Maybe it was the same guy that did this:

I always love seeing a good triple play.

I wish my work schedule didn't make me want to fall asleep by 11 every night. Saw the first bit of Detroit/Oakland but was out by the 4th inning. Read that their bullpen blew it yet again. It's like last year all over again. It's almost to the point where I'm not 100% totally dreading Valverde coming up. I hate baseball as well.

Love the wink Junior Griffey gives after hitting the homer. Sweet Lou brings in Randy Johnson on in relief. Awesome.

He was the same guy that threw the goat head out on the statue last year. he also sent Ben a goat head in the mail which caused FOX Sports Radio to ban anyone sending anyone anything.

Before that he sent him the beer

Quote:

Ben Maller's Twitter pic (@benmaller) [FOLLOW] Doc Mike from Chicago sent me bloody billy goat beer, the beer for losers! http://t.co/RQxog177 - 2011-10-08 09:33:38
before that there was this:

Quote:

Doc Mike banned from calling radio shows?
Doc Mike, a regular radio caller from Chicago, who would often rant about problems the Cubs and Bears are having, has been banned for two years from calling Ben Maller's Fox Sports Radio program or any other radio show, according to BenMaller.com moles.
Mike Witort, 61, aka "Doc Mike" pleaded guilty in the state of Illinois to one count of attempting to practice medicine without a license, a misdemeanor, according to the Chicago Tribune.
A Cook County Judge sentenced Doc Mike to two years of probation that includes a ban on calling radio shows and running a web site.
Witort told Ben Maller he served 44-days in jail after being arrested in late June on a gun charge. He promised to appear on Ben's radio show in August of 2008, after his probation ends.

Dbacks have no fucking fans. I've gone to their series with the Braves the last two seasons and I heard louder "Chop" chants than when at Turner field. I remember thinking I was in bizarro world when we got to the gate and there was Braves gear everywhere it seemed.

Fuck the Backs..

Droford 04-14-2013 10:15 AM

Feels ultra wierd that theres no O's game this afternoon since its on ESPN tonight. Last time Os were on Sunday Night Baseball was the last game at Old Yankee Stadium in 2008, who knows prior to that...

Going for 2 out of 3 vs the Yankees to pair with 2 out of 3 from the Red Sox and 2 out of 3 from the Rays. Winning formula right there.

Yes they do. Dbacks fans might not be as rabid as some teams but they're there. I went to a Braves game last year also and there was no audible Chop at all. Stop making things up. There are always fans for the visiting team anywhere but Arizona will always get a lot because it's a good combination of cheap ticket prices and hotspot to vacation.

The only thing I can think of to make someone hate the D-Backs would be how Ken Kendrick runs the organization. This latest story doesn't seem to help matters.

Also, Prince is beasting this series.

4/5, R, 2B, HR, 3 RBI Friday
2/3, R, HR, 1 RBI, BB Saturday
1/2, R, 2B, 1 RBI, BB so far today

.700, 3 runs, 2 doubles, 2 HR, 5 RBIs, a pair of walks... dirty. He had a HBP today and I think another one earlier in the series (I couldn't catch the other 2 games), announcers were saying he's reached base 11 times this series. Pretty ridic.

Damocles of the Dodgers

Posted by Paul on April 15, 2013 | Short Link

The following text was transcribed word-for-word from tonight’s broadcast of the Padres at the Dodgers game, top of the 2nd inning. Pitcher Chad Billingsley is on the mound, the opposing pitcher, Eric Stults, is at the plate.

Vin Scully, calling the action.

Quote:

“We often talk about Chad Billingsley, saying that he pitches ‘with the Sword of Damocles over his head.’ That’s an old Greek legend.

http://www.oneforfive.com/wp-content...rs-300x200.png
Chad Billingsley, Damocles of the Dodgers, waits for the Sword to fall.

The ruler was Dionysus, and he had a guy in the courtier - in the court – who would always talk about how great the ruler had it.

So finally, the ruler said, ‘Ok. I’ll tell you how great it is.’ - the pitch is high, ball two - and he had a big dinner for Damocles and there at the head of the table was the chair and the beautiful table set up. Damocles sat down and directly above his head was a huge sword and it was tied by one horse hair.

[Scully chuckles]

Damocles got the idea. 2-2 pitch on the way is fouled back.

So, of course, any time anybody’s pitching in a somewhat precarious position, I guess it applies: The Sword of Damocles.

And, with Chad Billingsley, with that touchy arm, any time he goes to the mound that’s exactly who he is: Damocles of the Dodgers.

Amarista at second, Maybin at first. This’ll be the seventh pitch to Eric Stults. Chad ready, checks, right-hander deals.

High fly ball to deep center…Kemp going back…a-way back…this one is over the wall!

Eric Stults hits it out over the centerfield fence and it’s the Padres on the scoreboard leading, three to nothing.”

DaveWadding 04-16-2013 02:18 PM

Vin Scully is a poet.

You know, I take big issues with players getting caught while DUI'ing, and MLB does nothing to them. Cabrera last year, Helton and now Gallardo this year. The media vilifies players who test positive for PEDs and they receive suspensions and pay cuts, but guys who legitimately put others lives at risk because they think they're okay to drive drunk, and when they caught, get no form of punishment or negative portrayals from neither MLB or the media.

It's fucking bullshit.
