ROH announced they are launching a new Youtube series based on their Women's division.

It will be called ROW Women's Division Wednesdays and debuts on April 28th.

Bit surprised WWE and NXT never bothered to launch their own all-women's show considering they have more than enough women to do their very own brand.

Sheamus and Regal feature in this quite a bit, can't even remember Regal doing a powerbomb as one of his finishers. :wtf:

Bad News Gertner 04-22-2021 05:30 PM

Some of those moves they used as a finisher like once or twice. Viscera never used the Bossman Slam as his finisher.

fundiddle 04-22-2021 06:29 PM

they should have included all the countout and dq victories as finishers, too

When you think you're tall enough to step over the top rope..but not really.

Bad News Gertner 04-23-2021 10:56 AM

Lol I was at an indie show where the ref went to jump over the top rope into the ring from the ring apron, and face planted so bad lol. His face was all bloody. Had to have broken his nose.

Lock Jaw 04-23-2021 11:15 AM

Why was the ref even jumping over ropes lol

Bad News Gertner 04-23-2021 11:28 AM

Lol dude it was some guy in his early 20s probably trying to show off for his friends, but he fucking hit his damn head so hard. It was in 2001. I remember Sabu almost running over a group of fans in his car.

Bad News Gertner 04-23-2021 11:31 AM

And it was so weird the way he tried to jump. Rather than putting both hands on the ropes and kinda swooping your legs over like you normally see, he put both hands on the rope and jumped straight ahead lifting both knees to his chest over the ropes.

According to the Observer Newsletter, the upcoming Kenny Omega vs. Rich Swann title vs. title match will only be the 2nd time in wrestling history that two world titles from different companies were on the line for a live PPV show in the US.

Would have been the 4th time but two of those matches didn't fit the criteria because of how the matches were handled.

Quote:

But from an historical standpoint, a similar dynamic drew some of the biggest crowds and were among the most famous matches in history.

The first and only time such a match happened on a live U.S. PPV was on the Superclash III PPV show on December 13, 1989, before just under 2,000 fans in Chicago. Jerry Lawler, the AWA champion, and Kerry Von Erich, the World Class champion wrestled to determine the Unified world champion. Unified being a funny word since the WWF and NWA championships existed on larger television platforms. Lawler won the match via blood stoppage, the unify what could be called the No. 3 and No. 4 world titles in the U.S. market. However, both organizations no longer existed just a few years later.

It’s unlikely, given the ownership of AEW and its television deal, and the ownership of Impact, which outright bought a television station to get them back on the air in a substantial number of homes, the latter part of the pattern will continue.

There were also two matches on WCW PPV shows in 1991 involving Ric Flair and Tatsumi Fujinami, where the IWGP, NWA and WCW belts were all at stake. But the first match was on a taped PPV from Japan, and the rematch was only billed as for the WCW title on the U.S. broadcast.

Emperor Smeat 04-27-2021 06:04 PM

Its either that or one of them managed to get hurt at Mania and WWE is keeping it a secret.

Nothing else would make sense as a reason to not have them show up since its not like anything interesting has happened for the RAW Tag division since Mania outside of Orton now being buddies with Riddle as a team.

CMLL broke off their partnership with Ring of Honor today.

Supposedly its due to them being very upset several ROH talent were going to work for RUSH's new promotion in Mexico and ROH doing nothing to stop them since they consider RUSH's new promotion to be a potential threat and rival.

Their level of pettiness towards wrestlers and other promotions is like the Mexican version of WWE.

I wouldn't be surprised if their partnership with NJPW is the next to go since its been in a fragile state ever since their antics against NJPW over NJPW's booking of Dragon Lee after he had a falling out with CMLL.

What was he saying this time, yet another story or 2 that somehow never tallies up with everyone else's version of events? I remember him claiming he was in the room with Calloway when the Undertaker character was given to Calloway, which according to Calloway never happened and Vince offered him the character over the phone.

Hogan always seems to have this magical ability to somehow insert himself into relevant moments in wwe history, regardless if he was with the company at the time or not.
