He really needs something better than "believe that". Sounds so dumb.

If he would have left it at "Because.I.Can." it would sound better.

Listening to #kinglawler on #talkisjericho rite now. Lawler can't do anything but be interesting... (obviously only when it doesn't have to do with wrestling commentating). Very fascinating interview and barely talks about wrestling.

#BROKEN Hasney 03-18-2016 07:41 PM

Randomly watching the Kevin Steen show with Matt Hardy and he was talking about how he does talk to Edge now and again. Made me happy for some reason.

Gawker would have to post $50 million to take it to the appeals court, which makes that aspect tricky as well, as the verdict could force the company into either bankruptcy or sale. There was a great deal of potential evidence Gawker was hoping to introduce that didn't make the trial due to the rulings of judge Pamela Campbell and Gawker is going to use that in its appeal.

WWE has announced on Twitter that Cesaro will be returning to the ring during the WrestleMania Revenge tour in Europe next month.

Cesaro will be in-action at the April 15th live event in Amsterdam, Netherlands at the Ziggo Dome, which indicates he will be wrestling at the other shows on the tour. Cesaro has noted in recent interviews that he will not be cleared in time to compete at WrestleMania.

On Sunday, April 3, USA’s live hour of the WRESTLEMANIA KICKOFF SHOW will start at 6PM ET/3PM PT and include the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, featuring 20 WWE Superstars.WRESTLEMANIA 32 will broadcast live from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Biggest take-away is the injury crisis being bad enough the WWE dropped the amount of guys needed for the battle royale match. Last two Andre battle royales were 30-man matches.

On Monday's RAW it was advertised that the WWE Network will feature 7 hours of WrestleMania coverage and the Hall of Fame ceremony, but NXT Takeover: Dallas got no mention. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that a lot of people within the company are openly unhappy that the NXT event was not promoted on RAW.

Either someone simply forgot to include NXT Takeover in their WrestleMania week lineup, or someone in WWE felt it wasn't important enough. One conspiracy theory is that Kevin Dunn may have made the decision to leave Takeover off the promotional video on RAW. NXT is considered to be Triple H's project, and Dunn has nothing to do with the NXT product.

Meltzer noted that the feeling within WWE is that Dunn will likely be let go when Triple H and Stephanie McMahon eventually take over the company.

I think he [Ambrose] shined so much as a wrestler, as a performer, that this match got him over more in my eyes than he was before this match and I liked Dean Ambrose to begin with.

This match elevated Dean Ambrose. Dude, someone who books can argue that point with me, but I stand by the fact that someone had to get beat and the right guy got beat and he got beat in the right way and it's going to make him stronger and that kid's got a great future. He did before this match. He really does now. He went out there on a big stage with a top guy and threw down.
From a recent Stone Cold podcast regarding the HHH-Ambrose WWE title match at Roadblock and how Ambrose managed to elevate in status even with the loss.

Ended up enjoying the Edge and Christian show bracket of suckitude. Not sure if it improved or their target market is drunk people.

I think the first episode was were they got rid of most of the worst skits. Subsequent episodes have been great.

I watched all of them bar the last two which I'm catching up on since I'm awake this close to F1 qualifying. Other ones had their moments (shockmaster), but this episode is the first one that I would say had no misses. Think a lot of that had to do with E&C taking Stardust along to interact with kids. Seems unscripted.

Also, this episode had the best explanation and promo for Stardust than any TV ever did, which is weird.

Haven't seen the latest one but might do that while waiting myself for quali. The new rules will be a real train wreck for most :D

THERE MIGHT EVEN BE RAIN. Also, Evil Emma makes a cake using a Spear and Peeps.

Also, with our clearly overlapping interests, I should make sure you can't sure GAF. Can't have the more exotic version of Hasney.

#BROKEN Hasney 03-18-2016 11:48 PM

The bracket of Sucktitude and Stardust episode is the episode before the most recent. The newest one has the Evil Emma cake, then a bunch of vomit.

#BROKEN Hasney 03-18-2016 11:49 PM

Slightly marked for AJ Styles being on the latest episode and Bullet Club being on it.

The TNA dig was fucking brilliant. Literally the funniest thing WWE has done on the network.

#BROKEN Hasney 03-19-2016 12:01 AM

The Tommy Dreamer joke in the newest episode is too good.

Did you know in 1995 a wresting fan who died left 2.5 million dollars to HBK because he was his favourite wrestler.

That is amazing. Where did you hear that?

Ol Dirty Dastard 03-19-2016 12:54 PM

This very random Stan Hansen vs Nailz squash match holds a very special place in my heart. Honestly is like a bar room brawl and Hansen just kicks the ever loving fuck out of this dude. You could tell there were points where Nailz seemed like he wanted out. My favourite is the finish. First he drops like the most heinous elbow I think I've ever seen. And then fucking decapitates him with the lariat and he broke Nailz's nose within the first minute and a half LOL

It reminds me of the Cape Feare Simpsons and Homer's like "Who wants to go through this cactus patch?" when Sideshow Bob is underneath the car and everyone is like "YEAH" And bob is like "...nooooo" and Homer's like "2 against 1" or something and drives Bob through the patch. That is this match, Nailz is Sideshow Bob and Stan is the cactus patch.

On a wrestling podcast that discusses random weeks in wrestling history based on the old Wrestling Observer/Pro Wrestling Torch newsletters. It's extremely interesting. It's called "Between the Sheets". Link below.
I also learned that HBK quit the WWF for a few weeks in 1993.

http://placetobenation.com/category/...en-the-sheets/

Ol Dirty Dastard 03-19-2016 02:36 PM

what was the back story there?

Damian Rey 2.0 03-19-2016 03:25 PM

Jesus at that Stan Hansen match. This elbow drops, good grief.

Ol Dirty Dastard 03-19-2016 03:42 PM

hahahaha I'm so happy you had that reaction. "Stiff" or "snug" doesn't do those elbow drops justice. Kelly at certain points would fall to the ground so he didn't have to get smashed in the face again.

Then the Lariat at the end. It's not the same as the clothesline from hell, but it's more just a straight up smash to the face and you can just see Kelly on the ground going " :( why"

Shawn being Shawn. He actually did a bunch of shots for Lawler in Memphis at that time.

Jordan 03-19-2016 04:32 PM

Is that story in the episode that is four hours long that has a pic of HBK losing his smile?

Bad News Gertner 03-19-2016 04:55 PM

It's the 1996 show with Pete Schirmacher in regards to the inheritance story. The shows are long, but if you look in the description it breaks down when they discuss each company.

The 1993 show with Keith Harris discusses HBK quitting the WWF.
