LOL @ AJ and Edge and Christian, awesome. Finally there is some good material from that show.

GD 03-15-2016 10:11 AM

Lots of hits and misses (well, mostly misses). I like to have the show in the background while I am doing household chores.

GD 03-15-2016 01:43 PM

A nice subtle dig at Emma in the same episode.

Yeah, apparently it's one of the theme songs for Mania this year

I've found it has gotten better with every episode. Did enjoy the dig at Emma as well.

Triple H obviously doing a Snickers-related entrance this year

E&C show has been solid. Kinda under rated I think. The bit with the Godfather was amazing, as well as Ye Old Theatre.

Impact! 03-15-2016 08:50 PM

Randomly, I really dug the Harper Vs. Lesnar match. Harper selling the suplexes was awesome, Lesnar couldn't completely keep him down. It feels like theyre building to Harper having a big year next year.

Hour 1: 3,471,000 viewers
Hour 2: 3,392,000 viewers
Hour 3: 3,510,000 viewers

Being implied in most reports that daylight savings time played a big role for the good 3rd hour. For some comparison, last week was 3.76 million, 3.61 million, and 3.27 million for hours.

On if he holds back on his podcast: “A lot of the time, I hold back because I’m one of the boys and I’ve got to show up every damn month for a podcast. It’s not my goal to run anybody down [or] run anybody down that’s in control. I love the [professional wrestling] business, but it is what it is. I have my opinion. Sometimes, believe me, I’m holding back when I’m talking about my opinions because I don’t want to shoot a hole in anybody.”

On WWE’s way of presenting their product: “I think the WWE, they live in their own world. Make your own world. Have your own set of rules. Present it in a serious light.”

On certain topics being off limits: “Sometimes, in talking, quite frankly, with WWE talent, you can’t go certain directions. There’s a line that is drawn that you really can’t cross over because they can’t bury themselves [and] they can’t talk about certain things, so, sometimes, it just is what it is.”
From a recent Stone Cold podcast episode in regards to if Network related podcast episodes are treated differently than his regular ones.

Lawler, who had trouble remembering Byron Saxton's name, also talked about his heel turn on commentary and said it was his idea. Lawler knew Mauro wouldn't say anything bad about anyone because he was the new guy and Byron is too nice of a guy, so Lawler suggested to Vince that he go back to his heel persona.

Lawler also said he's just scratching the surface and trying to ease into the turn. Lawler said Vince loved the idea and told him that he misses the way "The King" used to be.

Mayor of London Boris Johnson has said he is "dead keen" for London to finally host a WrestleMania.

Talk has been growing for years that England's capital will try and host WWE's flagship event, and Johnson has further stoked the fires today in a Twitter Q&A, in which he also revealed that his great grandfather was "briefly a fairground wrestler".

Some confusion around the net about the "threw a fit" part since some people thought he meant backstage when in reality he meant the part where Vince demanded his intro and reaction be redone on live tv.

Our sources say that despite not being used much on Impact Wrestling in 2015, TNA’s creative team were looking to give his character a new lease on life with a talk show segment.

The segment — called “Huh?” with Mr. Anderson — aired on January 12th and we’re told producers planned to make it a reoccurring segment after they were happy with how it it turned out.

Ken Anderson also won the main event filmed for Impact’s Jan. 19th episode — but as we previously reported, it was cut from the show after he was suspected of wrestling under the influence.

The wrestler failed a subsequent drug test and was released shortly after.

Not a big fan a a flying forearm being a finisher but it is what it is I guess. Finishers have went to shit anyways in recent years.

haha I thought Vince seemed fucking pissed off legit at the crowd. And for good reason. I get "not reacting" if what you are seeing is complete shit, but RAW wasn't "bad" by any means. Only really made shit by that fucking awful crowd. With a decent crowd it was a 4.5-5/7 show, whereas the crowd made it 3/7.

drave 03-16-2016 10:13 AM

Not just that, but Emma would fare better in the current "diva mix".

1 night does not change what has been months of mundane whatever the fuck they call it now. Philly, being a heavy smark crowd, most likely adopted this mindset.

I haven't watched in a very long time, but the results sound rather typical, aside from a non-ppv HHH match which was apparently the best thing of the night, not surprisingly.

I want to get back into it, but they have yet to give me a reason. I will get Mania as my family want to see it, but I genuinely have zero interest right now outside of Ambrose, Taker/Shane.

Who the hell uses 7 as a base for a rating system? O_o
Also, RAW was pretty crappy even this week. Yeah, it was better than usual, but that's an extremely low bar to set.

Reigns enters using the ramp on Raw, again on SmackDown. Heel turn hint? Turning his back on the crowd?

Probably grasping at straws.

drave 03-16-2016 04:51 PM

Had to end sometime. Edge used to come in through the crowd at first too. Ultimately it is just a big risk to the talent, security or not.

Hopefully he does go heel though. That would generate some interest and maybe make me tune in again, at least for a short time.
