Yeah I should be therr

Blitz 09-16-2010 11:25 PM

Gonna be on in a few. Join me.

Funky Fly 09-16-2010 11:34 PM

Just finished Noveria in Mass Effect. Gimme a few to wrap some shit up and I'll be there.

Boomer 09-16-2010 11:43 PM

I'm unfortunately tired as fuck. Gonna have to bail out and sleep. Ugh.

Funky Fly 09-17-2010 02:44 AM

Blitz, Drakul... get you asses to Futureshop and Play, respectively, and get some headsets.

COME ON

Drakul 09-17-2010 03:20 AM

I have a headset somewhere. I just don't use it because I don't really have anything to say and my accent is too hard to understand. The mic being crappy quality is another reason.

All good except for Dan's. Really, a longer nose, a tan and a different symbol on his back? I know it's supposed to be his dad, but that could easily have just been an alternate colour on his original outfit.

Really liking T Hawk's Aztec warrior thing.

Blitz 09-17-2010 02:06 PM

Can't decide if I like Guy's or not.

Fignuts 09-17-2010 03:15 PM

So we have 3 outfits for dudley, and not one is a traditional boxer outfit. Good thinking capcom.

Fignuts 09-17-2010 03:17 PM

Kinda want to learn Makoto. She's REALLY hard to get good with, but if you can do it, I'll bet you could clean up with her pretty good. No one ever picks her, so opponents would probably be unfamiliar with how to deal with her, if in skilled hands.

Kalyx triaD 09-17-2010 04:10 PM

Dudley and Streetwise Cody are cool.

Khuntry 09-17-2010 04:15 PM

Maybe Dudley's above traditional boxer outfit...

Fignuts 09-17-2010 04:17 PM

Screw that. I want variety. 3 "englishman" costumes, is boring, just like 3 "spanish" costumes are boring for Vega. I think every fighter should have one costume based solely on their fighting style, rather than their country of origin.

Khuntry 09-17-2010 04:18 PM

I really don't see whats all this bitching about costumes is for. Capcom didn't have to do it and people don't have to buy it... jeez

?... Dudley's an Englishman so all his varied costumes should relate to that. otherwise he woundnt be Dudley the brit boxer.

Khuntry 09-17-2010 04:24 PM

Mitsurugi Guy.....

Kalyx triaD 09-17-2010 04:27 PM

Being that a decade prior alt. colors were the zenith of Street Fighter customization I'm good with these. The only way you could please most people is if you have a costume edit option, but like hell we'll see that in SF this generation.

Let's not forget Street Fighter is about 'cartoon' designs rather than 'cool'. Sure some attire is badass (Akuma) but when you see shoto Blanka you pretty much know their design philosophy in general.

Dudley's original costume is more like what English guys would probably box in, back in the 1800s.

That is ridiculous. I'm sure in the past you've had complaints about something a developer didn't have to do.

It's not the 1800's.

Those boys are kinda beastly, but my stable is set. Needs more Karin.

Drakul 09-18-2010 03:31 AM

Does anyone else find it boring the way the Japanese watch trailers? When westerners watch something like a trailer at E3, they cheer and scream when they see something they like. Japan is deathly silent until the very end when they all politely applaude.

The cheering and crowd reaction etc really adds to the fun of watching a trailer. Watching trailers from TGS is like no one was even in the room at the time.

Kalyx triaD 09-18-2010 03:41 AM

I'm used to direct-feed trailers so it's actually rare I see a trailer with audience audio. Hype crowds are more familiar, but they're just reserved about it. Like Japanese pro-wrestling crowds. Remember WCW/NWO World Tour's crowd audio? Took me a while to find out it was a Japanese crowd with the 'oohs' and polite clapping. lol

Ummm , like it was yesterday!

RoXer 09-18-2010 03:48 AM

What DON'T I remember from the WCW/NWO World Tour crowd audio should be the question

Drakul 09-18-2010 03:54 AM

I enjoy watching crowd reactions because it's a lot more fun that just watching the normal trailer.

Like this and this.

I've seen Japanese wrestling matches and found it harder to enjoy them because the audiance is so quiet. Only played WcW/Nwo a handful of times so can't recall the games audiance sounds.

RoXer 09-18-2010 04:02 AM

Actually, I feel bad for making fun of you because I thought you were talking about the crowd audio from like an E3 from 1997 and not the actual sound in game.
:-\

Blitz 09-18-2010 04:10 AM

Damn really can't wait to use them....but does anyone else notice how there are significantly more slots on the character select screen?

Drakul 09-18-2010 04:25 AM

My guess would be it's the middle of the animation when you start versus. Where all the character slots slide across the screen into place or off the screen once everyone chooses a character.

Blitz 09-18-2010 04:45 AM

Dammit stop ruining my hopes for Alex and Rolento with all your logic.

#BROKEN Hasney 09-18-2010 04:30 PM

Heh, didn't know Dan's dad was based on Mr. Karate.

Blitz 09-18-2010 09:36 PM

Palm stuffs fireballs eh. Interesting.

Funky Fly 09-20-2010 04:04 AM

Interesting indeed.

Drakul 09-20-2010 04:29 AM

I can't really find a clear image of it but Seths new alt is heavy armour. Looks pretty cool and reminds me of The Iron Man (not the superhero, Ironman) from the old childrens book I read as a kid.

Edit: Best I can find.
http://media.eventhubs.com/images/20...costumes27.jpg

Edit #2: Been working on my Seth a bit lately. I've got grapplers down so think it's time to branch out a little. Just a little unsure if it'll effect how well I can play with grapplers.
