Inside Out - 7/10
pretty good for a WWE released film...... I loved Michael Rappaport on the old FOX show The War At Home..... |
Safe House (1998) - 10/10
Perfect mix of comedy, action, and drama. Patrick Stewart was very convincing, portraying a former government official battling with Alzheimer's and dementia, and Kimberly Williams was not bad being his caretaker. |

Graffiti Bridge - 6/10
|
Abraham Lincoln:Vampire Hunter 4/5
Went to see this movie, had some expectations to be entertained but honestly the acting in this was really great. Great storyline, plenty of action, drama and some scary moments in there. I recommend it |

Avengers: 9/10
Enjoyed the movie, nothing else really to say. |
Red tails 6 out of 10.
Started hot but fizzled at the halfway point. Bad editing also. Still a decent film. |
Moonrise Kingdom: 8.5/10. Not Anderson's best work, but real close.
|
Crazy Stupid Love - 7/10
Would've been an 8 had that 13 year old kid not been such a faggot. Also had he not gotten naked pictures from his crazy hot babysitter. Seriously fuck that kid |
The Fog - 3/10
Ninja - 5/10 Over The Top - 3/10 Tower Heist - 5/10 |
Under the cherry moon - 6/10
|
Contagion - 7/10
Liked it, but I give it a day before I start developing symptoms of the disease from the film. |
Prometheus - 8/10
|
The Last Mistress - 3.5/5
Saw this on Sundance channel and finished it on Netflix. Nothing special. Asia Argento is hot. That is all. |
Drive Angry - 5/10? 4 out of 10 is for William Fichtner being fucking incredible in it. And the other is for Amber Heard's tits
21 Jump Street - 9/10 I really enjoyed it, honestly that scene with Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum tripping is one of my favorite things I've seen in comedy recently. |
Chronicle - 8/10 Pretty good, although Andrew was a huge fag. Would like to have seen more of that blonde girl.
|
The Sitter - 2/10
We Bought A Zoo - 7/10 Matt Damon: Why would an amazing woman like you even talk to someone like me? Woman: Why not? lol. Just lol. |

Lilja 4-ever http://pages.infinit.net/zelda/linkdebout.jpg
One of the most depressing movies I have seen. |
Abraham Lincolon Vampire Hunter: 10/10
Highly enjoyable action packed movie. Might have liked it more then the book. |
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter: 2/10. I wouldn't have thought it'd be possible to make a movie about about a President slaying vampires so incredibly boring, but man, did they ever do that.

Rock of Ages:
Terrible movie, horrible acting, terrible singing for the most part, horrid plot. Mary J. Blige is a good singer, but she sings hair metal as well as Jani Lane could sing '90s RnB: not at all. That said, I was laughing my ass off during the whole thing. Tom Cruise seemed to know this movie was going to be a piece of shit, so he hammed it up, fusing Blackie Lawless, Axl Rose, and Bon Jovi. Sadly, he needed more Blackie and Axl and less Bon Jovi for the songs he was singing. Most hilariously awesome moment of the movie? (tie) a. Russel Brand and Alec Baldwin singing "I Can't Fight this Feeling Anymore" to each other before kissing. b. Generic Pretty Boy Rocker Hero opening up "I've Been Waiting" while taking a piss. and c. Diesel was one of the bodyguards for Tom Cruise. AKA Kevin Nash was more or less playing Diesel from his early days of being Shawn Michaels' Roadie. I hope this gets Rifftrax'ed. I had many of my own jokes in my head while watching it. Biggest Disappointments: 1. Was there scenes in a strip club? Yes. Where was the best pole dancing? In the Bourbon Room (which was NOT the name of the strip club) 2. Again there were scenes in a strip club. Guess the two things there wasn't? Nudity and Motley Crue's "Girls, Girls, Girls" 3. I think they managed to find a chick who looks like a bleach blonde Olivia Wilde, but without the talent. Though her singing part of "I want to know where love is" with the lace from Cruise's leather pants in her mouth was funny. 4. The folks sing Whitesnake's "Here I go again." Guess whose voice got closest to David Coverdale... If you said Paul Giamatti, you would be right, and laughing your ass off. 5. Church Ladies and Rockers have a sing off. Rockers sing Starship. Church Ladies sing Twisted Sister. Wait, what? 6. Pretty Boy Rocker Hero spent much of the early parts of the movie playing his guitar with all the talents of Van Hammer. Now, to score it: For doing what it set out to do: 1/10 For being entertaining: 8/10 |
Amazing Spider-Man. HOLY FUCK. Much more awesomeness than the Sam Raimi trilogy put together and more accurate persona of Peter!! Ha, the plotline is a bit like the 1st one explaining how Spidey got powers and BEFORE Mary jane, there was Gwen. And stay tuned for the extra ending halfway through the end credits... Emma Stone as Gwen character is a bit meh awkward but damn, I got a new crush on her... :) The Lizard Man oftentimes resembled a mixture of Godzilla and Batman's nemesis Croc in the Arkham game series.
All in all, really enjoyed it. The 3-D almost got me dizzy spells from the scenes of 1st person view of Spidey swinging from tall buildings.. 9/10. |
Ted: Really fn' funny. Place was packed and it was pretty hard even finding parking at the theater. Don't want to spoil anything but it was probably the best comedy I've seen this year.
Probably 9/10. Took a point of for the predictable story arcs. |
Kevin Smith Too fat for 40 - 9/10
|
Jack & Jill - 1/10
I consider myself an Adam Sandler fan, but it's starting to get ridiculous..... unrelated note, I can't wait to see Ted |
Love, Honour and Obey
Funny ass film. Would only appeal to Brits though I think. 8/10. |

Circuit - 7/10 I found it to be a rather poignant and fascinating look into the world of circuit parties the presentation and look of the movie was just amazing Jonathan Wade-Drahos is a rather bland actor and it definitely showed at times as he played the lead character John Andre Khabbazi as Hector was much more interesting and brought more to the character and your heart goes out to him as you watch the movie The story is about a smart, handsome gay cop from a small closed minded town who moves to Los Angeles to live an openly gay life. After his first party in the Hollywood Hills, he becomes friends with a gay male escort and falls into the circuit party scene which slowly tears him apart. He becomes obsessed with muscles, drugs, parties, and the fast gay West Hollywood night life which eventually ruins his personality and spiritual growth it was really rather weird seeing William Katt aka Tommy from Carrie in this movie as circuit party promoter Gino |
Get Him to the Greek 8.75/10
Dinner For Schmucks 9.5/10 |

Prometheus - 7/10
Heard bad things about Ted. Apparently all of the funny moments are all that's showin in the commercials and trailers. |
A Thousand Words - 5/10. Enjoyed this thoroughly.
Easy Rider - 5/10. I work with an old timer who always asks me if I've seen this. I finally get around to seeing it and don't necessarily enjoy it that much. |
Yet you rated it the same as A Thousand Words, which you apparently enjoyed thoroughly.
|
I am such an enigma that I can confuse myself and twist my words around and......what am I trying to say?
I felt as if though I HAD to watch Easy Rider. Since I love movies and want to work in the film business, I find it one of those movies that's a "prerequisite" that I had to watch. Sure, Easy Rider, to me, was enjoyable throughout, but I wasn't super duper impressed by it, as many people have asked me if I've seen it so I wasn't so damn impressed by it yet I had high expectations as I watched it. Get it? My favorite part was when Jack Nicholson was on screen. He was a funny guy and is still a funny guy and I do enjoy his acting, even back in the day I enjoyed him and I still enjoy him today. He stole the show for me. |
I think the more important point is that 5/10 doesn't equate to "thorough enjoyment".
Half marks is more "Meh", "Take it or leave it", etc, |
Exactly. I thought both movies were pretty "Meh. Take it or leave it" so I thoroughly enjoyed it throughout. I got into A Thousand Words more than I got into Easy Rider. The times I did get into Easy Rider AND A Thousand Words, I was enjoying it. Neither movies really left a huge impact or impression on me.
This movie, however, I didn't thoroughly enjoy at all. It was just some guy in a place and STUFF happened. I didn't like it and thought it was a waste of time, yet since I want to work in film, I felt as if I had to watch it. Cool Hand Luke - 2/10 |
I think this scene from Cool Hand Luke is one of the best scenes in film:
<iframe src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/dG9tuuznL1Y" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" width="420"></iframe> Moonrise Kingdom was really good. |
Can't fathom anyone not liking Cool Hand Luke honestly.
|
Ted: 9.5/10..... I knew I was going to love it, but the movie itself still surprised..... It wasn't as dirty as I thought it would be, and the overall story was quite good.....Mila Kunis could've gotten naked though :(
|
Ted: 7/10. I went in figuring it'd be a whole lot of laugh out loud moments, but there wasn't really. That's not to say it wasn't funny, but the stuff I laughed most at was the more low key asides. Also coulda done without the whole bearnapping subplot, just a little bit useless for me. Still, decent flick.
|
Abe Lincoln: Vampire Hunter - 2.5/5
This was Dom Cooper's movie right from the get go. Ms. Wistead was nice to look at, too. The guy who played Lincoln, he's forgetable. |
Moonrise Kingdom - 5/5
|
Iron Sky - 2/26
|
Real Steel: 5/10 - nothing special but those type of movies "aren't really my bag," Evangeline Lilly is still hot.....
|
I thought Real Steel was a lot better than I thought it would be.
Wrath Of The Titans - 3/10. Enjoyed Clash a lot better, this one was a just plain "Meh" to Pork. |
TED - 6.5/10
The Amazing Spiderman - 7/10 |
The Muppets (2011) - 4/5 Stars - A funny movie, it all the right beats, but starts a little slow. Jason Segel is one of my favorite actors now.
The Adventures of Tintin - 3/5 Stars - Never into Tintin when I was a kid, but it was pretty good. I can see why Tintin has been around all these years. The Last Man on Earth - 5/5 Stars - Best I am Legend adaptation to date. Take that Will Smith. Who can stand toe to toe with Vincent Price? |
The Amazing Spiderman - 8.5/10
Really enjoyed it. Trying to remember if I enjoyed the first Toby Maguire one better or not. Gotta rewatch them both. |
Ted - 3/5 stars - it was funny but falls apart at the end and was kind of boring.
|
The Amazing Spiderman in Beautiful IMAX 3D - 70
|
American Reunion - 8.5/10
|
Went to see 3 in the cinema last week:
Killer Joe - 6.5/10. Very intense with some really good performances but that last scene was so uncomfortable and for me, not in a good way. Amazing Spiderman - 7.5/10 (I have a blog about it and the previous trilogy here - http://jari87.tumblr.com/) Storage 24 - 3/10. Blissfully short film with the most unlikable cast ever assembled. Only highlight would be the interaction between the old man and the alien + the alien looked alright. |
Raising Arizona - 5/10
The Three Stooges - 0/10. SOME of it made me chuckle. John Carter - 9/10 |
Bill and Teds Excellent Adventure - 7/10
|
Battle Royale. 9/10.
|
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter 7/10.
|
oh yeah i watched shame the other day too
|
Drive - 3/10..... for all the hype I heard about it, I found it quite terrible..... I've never seen a movie with so much awkward silence before.....
|
Savages: 8/10. Solid flick, elevated by some nice performances and a plot that doesn't quite go where you might expect.
|
Project X - 79
|
Act of Valor - 37
I'm not done but this has been really fucking terrible |
The Amazing Spider Man 9/10
|
Taken - 5 out of 5
Pretty good action film overall. After seeing what he did in the film, don't want to get on Liam Neeson's bad side by giving it a 4 ouf ot 5. :shifty: |
Hitman - 2.5 out of 5
Not the worst game-to-film movie but at the same time was pretty dull most of the time until near the end. Also pretty dumb to change the overall storyline by having the Agency be the ones double crossing him since that doesn't really happen in the games. |
Quote:
7/10 Ok I guess |
Man on a Ledge - 47
The Man In Black overacts every scene he's in. It progresses during the whole movie too where finally at the roof his performance is just laughable. Chick was really hot. Genesis Rodriguez or something. |
There's a scene where she's putting on a jumpsuit. And the camera is RIGHT behind her butt.
Being John Malkovich - 7/10 xXx - 4/10. I think this is the first time I watched this movie from start to finish. Vin Diesel is terrible. Ong Bak 2 - 5/10 I guess. |
Casa De Mi Padre - 51
While looking up Genesis Rodriguez I saw that she was in this and downloaded it. Except I'm like maybe 65% sure the subtitles are wrong. It wouldn't surprise me if the subtitles were translated poorly to make it funnier, but I think these were just some dude's translations. Which may have made it even better than the real ones if those weren't the real ones. I dunno. I'm a fan of this broad. She looks like a girl I had a crush on and blew it with. |
The Three Musketeers in 3musketeerD - 51
John Carter in 3D - 91 |
oh yeah Amazing Spider-Man - 9/10
really really loved that movie, it also helped that I do not like the Sam Raimi ones |
The Adventures of TinTin in 3D- 86
Hugo in 3D - 80 |
Wrath of the Titans in 3D - 72
I think I'm officially out of movies to watch |
Rikidozan: A Hero Extraordinaire
The second greatest wrestling movie of all time, behind the Wrestler. It tells the story of the Godfather of Japanese Pro Wrestling, Rikidozan. Really sad, really good. The cameos were awesome. Keiji Mutoh, Mike Barton, Jun Akiyama, Shinya Hashimoto (sp?), Go Shiozaki, and Rick Steiner were in the movie. It's in Japanese, but I like foreign cinema, so I was cool with reading subtitles. 4.5 of 5. |
21 Jump Street - 10/10
|
Summer Rental - Some John Candy comedy from 1985, Rip Torn played a sea captain it was pretty good. Can't believe there are 32 sincere and thought out reviews of this on IMDB. 7/10
Silent Light - 8/10 |
Love John Candy :'(
|
Ted -4/5
I loved the random cameos, also the movie was soo much better than I thought it would of been. I hope that Seth Macfarlane does write more movies. |
The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo: 9/10
Absolutely loved it and never thought I would......although it's a long one, I'd recommend it..... |
The Amazing Spider-Man 9/10
Total Recall (1990)- 8/10 Really surprised by how smart the movie is, and definitely one of Arnold's best. It has to be one of the better mind fuck movies I've seen. That really took me by surprise. I could see how this movie can be improved with modern day special effects. I look forward to the remake. |
Ted - 72
|
The Help - 9/10
|
Goon - 8.5/10
|
The lonely guy - Underrated and absurd Steve Martin comedy about single lonely guys in Manhattan. Loved Charles Grodin in this.
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/P4DL2jczH68" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
Dark Knight Rises is totally right up there with the other one!!!! Minus the 3rd word. :P Bane's methods are almost as cunning as Ledger's Joker when it comes to taking city hostages and turning it into his own. And I didn't expect a twist there. I never thought he had a "partner." Sorry, can't spoil on that one. There's even a reference to Batman's sidekick Robin.. Man, I never thought his real name other than Dick Grayson.. Ha, again, no spoiler cos well, it's still 3 hours yet I was NEVER EVER BORED. Nolan loves to play emotional endings with a bit of happy face.. Hahahaha. Although it's unlikely Bane will be oscar nominated for best actor. Once again, Nolan knows how to make inception style thrills and viscera to the superhero trends.
As for Anne Hathaway playing Catwoman, it's OK 2nd best... But never thought I'd see the day she'll be channeling Michelle Pfeiffer's femme fatale kick-ass and even gets to ride Batman's biker.. 10/10. |
American Reunion - 7/10
Some pretty hilar moments with Eugene Levy and I love Seann William Scott with a burning passion. Anyways I liked it well enough and think it was a nice ending. Goon - 9/10 Again I love Seann William Scott and Eugene Levy. Allison Pill was wonderful and I found her super attractive. Really well done movie. And yay hockey. |
Savages - 7.5/10
|
dark knight rises: 7/10
|
Dark Knight Rises- 9/10
|
Dark Knight Rises - 8/10
|
The Dark Knight Rises 10/10.
|
God Bless America 9/10
Really fucking good. |

|
I should get my own movie review show with those kind of insightful thoughts.
