Got screwed out of WrestleMania 17, not this time.

No doubt, going to Mania itself immediately makes everything happening 32943209049235x more interesting.

Like I went to WM 29 and I had zero desire at all to see a Cena/Rock Part II especially after the "ONCE IN A LIFETIME!" farce. But then the match got booked and I decided that it would be way more fun watching that match live in such a crazy crowd than I would be at home, so I ended up enjoying it and "embracing" the build.

Ooo Wrestlemania's Main Event can be a father/daughter Tag Team match.

So nice of them to put in effort for 4 weeks.

Triple H can beat Stephanie, Rusev could beat Lana and you've got a new tag team "The Wifebeaters". Put them in white tank tops and ratings thru the roof.

You know who were super over? The oddoties. The fans loved that fucking theme song. Watching Sunday Night Heat, and the crowd goes bonkers for them.

John Tenta carried their matches.

I know why people want to see Jack Swagger with Jason Jordan & Chad Gable, but I kind of don't want to see them all thrown together as a bunch of guys in singlets because...amateur rasslers, you know?

Swagger joining The Wyatt Family works just a bit better because it gives Swagger something he doesn't have in the singlet with all the gloss and polish of being a good ol' American boy -- it gives him an edge. I think his size would get more of an emphasis in matches, and he'll probably strike more and be forced to work a ground game that isn't so much for show.

The Real American probably isn't leading man material in WWE, for whatever reason. He gets good reactions and is so fucking fluid in the ring. By having Bray Wyatt talk about how America has driven their golden child into the arms of a true nation beyond borders -- it's going to get heat and it's going to evolve the Swagger persona. Having a former World Champion in their ranks will probably help The Family too. Swagger's about as credible as you can get without dragging someone down.

I guess Dolph Ziggler would fit this role too.

Mr. Nerfect 02-29-2016 08:04 PM

Another stable idea for Jack Swagger: Have him be a vocal supporter of Shane McMahon. Swagger's been willing to fight against The Authority in the past and part of his issues with Triple H, Stephanie and Vince could be the lack of air-time he gets. Swagger, Fandango, Damien Sandow & Zack Ryder? Maybe Epico & Primo? They might not be an official faction with a name or anything, but they could just second Shane to the ring for promos and come through the crowd with him to watch SmackDown up close and personal.

They'd probably all find their way into the Andre Battle Royal, but an eight-man against The Social Outcasts or even The League of Nations isn't entirely out of the question.

why not all 4? Then you have Kurt as a Heavyweight contender, Swagger gunning for the US/IC belt, and American Alpha steamrolling to the Giant Pennies.

DAMN iNATOR 02-29-2016 08:46 PM

Kurt's highly unlikely to ever return. Wants to take at least a year to spend with his family and was quoted as saying he'd maybe consider a return, but probably not.

That's not to say I wouldn't go ballistic for the right competitor to face him in a one-off match before being inducted into the WWE HoF.

With all due respect, shut your DAMN mouth.

Hanso Amore 02-29-2016 09:12 PM

Here is the best booking idea for swagger...

Fire him and hope he can land on tna and have a resurgence like Drew Mac did.

Though I could see swagger hitting it big in Japan. He could be in a hoss gaijin tag team

They fucking love those

So WWE is doing "Surfs Up 2: WaveMania" and I decided to look on the wiki... came across this gem of a description:

Quote:

A sequel titled Surf's Up 2: WaveMania was announced on March 1, 2016. It is currently in production by Sony Pictures Animation, will be distributed by WWE Studios, and will star WWE superstars John Cena *insert theme*, Triple H, the Undertaker *who scared the literal poo out of me and when i mean literal i mean i pissed and poo all over my couch and my wife was standing there like what the heck mark*, Vince McMahon, and Paige

Mr. Nerfect 03-01-2016 04:54 PM

An idea I will explain in more detail later: But I think Roman Reigns should help Dean Ambrose win the WWE Title in Toronto. If they want to save Reigns as a babyface, then him helping his buddy out and fighting Triple H in a grudge match lower on the card will change the way people look at him.

It wouldn't seem to make sense that Reigns would give up his WrestleMania title match so willingly, but I don't think fans would care about that right now. They just want Reigns out of the immediate title picture and for him to stop being jammed down their throats as the golden boy. He can reject those two elements himself by fucking over Triple H, as well as knocking Triple H's own ego out of the main event at Mania.

How do you explain Reigns doing it? If he's such a bad-ass and he's so cool, why does he need to cling to this title shot like it's a life raft? Have Reigns say that there will be other title matches because he's that good and everybody knows it, but WrestleMania is about breaking that son of a bitch Triple H.

Dean Ambrose vs. Brock Lesnar then becomes your title match and main event, which seems unlikely, but they're basically dependong on these two as crutches on television and certain Network specials anyway. They're already "main event" in WWE, so giving them the official spot isn't going to look too weird. The odd one there is Ambrose, but the crowd will hopefully be so hot into his title reign that it won't matter.

The only way to save the Shane angle is for the lock box to contain a birth certificate proving that Taker is actually Vince's eldest son and, therefore, Vince's heir who should rightfully be the one to inherit the company. Then book three months of angles of Taker and Vince doing awkward absentee father stuff like going fishing at weekends and sitting in silence.

Ol Dirty Dastard 03-01-2016 07:01 PM

I'd watch that

Monday’s WWE Raw viewership averaged 3.742 million viewers which was down from the 3.884 million average from last week. The show featured the return of The Undertaker. The first hour of Raw averaged 3.961 million viewers, second 3.660 million viewers and the third and final hour of the show averaged 3.551 million viewers.
For some comparisons, last week had 4.2 million, 4.05 million, and 3.39 million for hours. Highest 3rd hour since last August and overall hourly drop one of the lowest in a long time. In terms of historical stuff, same show last year had 80,000 more viewers although stronger 2nd and 3rd hours.

On The Booking of The Wyatt Family:
“[WWE have] really homogenized The Wyatt Family. They’ve got great music. They’ve got a great entrance. Bray cuts a hell of a promo and Luke Harper is starting to cut great promos. He has drastically improved too and I know this guy’s a veteran guy.” Austin continued, “these guys were some of the hottest guys in the company a year [or] a year and a half ago. Here we are now and, I mean, just quite frankly, it is what it is. They don’t mean what they should to this company. And Bray Wyatt, being the leader of this faction, is taking a huge hit. And that’s a travesty of booking right there because, again, these are some very talented guys within The Wyatt Family structure.”

On John Cena:
“I don’t know how long John would like to wrestle, but as long as he wants to, I wouldn’t rush to come back [from injury too early] because, man, that dude’s a stud in the gym. His healing powers are phenomenal, but just don’t try to rush this thing back because it’s the shoulder and shoulders are tricky and it isn’t the time or place to try to jeopardize if you want another couple year run.”

TNA sued Steiner in June 2012, claiming he breached his (by then expired) TNA contract by making disparaging remarks about TNA, Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff and Bruce Prichard, among others. TNA had sought damages and an injunction to stop Steiner from speaking out.

In responding to TNA's suit against him, Steiner denied that he ever agreed to not disparage the company, that speaking out against it would breach his deal, that he was involved in a "concerted effort to disparage" the company and its officers, that he ignored requests to stop, that he is in a legal and binding agreement with TNA and that TNA has suffered damages as a result of his actions.

Steiner had stated his TNA deal expired and while he was offered a new contract, he opted to turn it down and never executed the deal. As time went on, every single person Steiner went after via social media has departed TNA, which made the company's decision to keep pursuing the matter all the more puzzling.

Basically TNA tried to sue Steiner for saying bad things about the company even though he was no longer an employee at the time. Steiner's contract might not have contained a non-disparagement clause which could explain why the lawsuit failed in the end.
