I would have just started company from scratch as opposed to buying a sinking ship and trying to save it.

I don't really think there's anything within TNA that is particularly worth paying so much more for.

The great thing is in this bizzaro land, as long as you have jock sniffers like Dale around, you will be the babyface.

I follow the sheets and have a rough idea of what's going on from posting in here. The WWE isn't the most high brow programming on television, so you don't need a magnifying glass to be able to work out exactly what is going on.

See Wishbone's post about CyNick.

No one takes CyNick seriously, Wishbone.

Yes. This is why it's likely he's trolling.

I feel like TNA is a detraction to the wrestlers it has working for it at this point in time. It chewed up years of Kurt Angle's life and career. If it had any respect for the people it has enslaved, I imagine it'd dissolve and let them go and work for other wrestling promotions.

If there was someone looking to invest in wrestling, you'd probably start from scratch or with ROH or something.

Emperor Smeat 02-28-2016 06:22 PM

TNA really should have renamed the company Impact Wrestling when they had a chance for rebranding.

Wouldn't have solved all their ills but considering money has been a big problem for them since the Hogan era, their name is holding them back a lot when it comes to getting good investors or advertisers to join.

I'm fairly sure they got paid and were free to leave when they're contracts were up. Hell until recently most of them didn't even have contracts. The main reason the guys who are still there, are there is cause no one else wants them.

Probably not as much as being a deadbeat company flogging a product not a whole lot of networks are keen to be associated with.

WWE's most dangerous group? It's actually a movie about the NEW DAY?! Straight Outta Booty!

Wishbone 02-28-2016 10:40 PM

Honestly with the Wyatts on it it should probably read "WWE's biggest group of jobbers" at this point. I think the Social Outcasts have won more matches than they have in the last couple months...

So, THIS just popped up on my FB notifications:

http://www.musclemakingheadlines.com...d1&c2=s1&c3=r3

YIKES if that's true.

If it was actually true why would there be an advertisement for the pills? Seems like bullshit.

That article is fake as fuck, as I've seen it used several times with different athletes. Not to mention, I don't see one John Cena quote in there.

A random thought I had the other night: As unlikely as this would seem, and "bad storytelling" is probably the most obvious explanation of things, but do you think that Triple H has been presented as an ass-kicker for the purpose of being able to switch gears with the face/heel dynamic of the match if Reigns is continuing to struggle to win over crowds at WrestleMania time?

Everyone I've seen talk about the match seems to think that the best way to go is to have Triple H be the ultimate chickenshit heel champion, and they're frustrated he's basically a bad-ass babyface when he beats the shit out of Reigns. Given Roman's current predicament is this really a bad thing though?

The crowd is going to boo Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. This much is certain. Triple H can use whatever heelish trick he wants -- he's going to get cheered for everything he does. So why not play into that? I'm not saying turn Roman Reigns heel. Well, that would be the wise thing to do for him, but it may not be the right window. But if Triple H portrays himself as the bad-ass resident default fighting game character type warrior, he could rally the crowds into the match a bit more.

One promo is all it would take. One promo about the things he's done and the passion he has for professional wrestling. One promo about how he signed Roman Reigns, groomed him, gave him The Shield, tried to hand him the title and all Reigns wants to do is spit it all back at him. One promo about how the beating Reigns put on him at TLC made his daughters cry and they made him promise that he'd beat the piss out of that bad man. And beat the piss out of Roman Reigns is what he's going to do.

At this point, everyone knows that Reigns is the golden child. The feud with Daniel Bryan was pretty much washed away with his retirement and Triple H and Vince McMahon basically conceding what a great wrestler and all-round guy he is. People know that the reality isn't that Reigns is hard done by. So play to what they know: Have Triple H promo about how there are suits in the company behind Reigns, but if you listen to these crowds they know that Reigns doesn't belong in that spot. Sure, he may have earned everything he's gotten so far, but he's about to run into a brick wall known as The Game. At WrestleMania, Triple H is going to bury Roman Reigns because it's best for business. *huge pop*

Whatever. Just an idea I had. Reigns vulnerability isn't in the ring right now. People are going to see through that. The vulnerability he has is that there will be 100,000 people paying to see him fail. Maybe people will feel more sorry for Reigns if they point that out and make it seem like he is actually losing favor with the company?

Mr. Nerfect 02-29-2016 01:49 AM

Another random thought: Jack Swagger should join The Wyatt Family.

They lost like 2 matches in the past 4 months. 1 was on SD too so that may not count.

Why do that when he can be the leader of Jock Squad, bring up American Alpha with him culminating with their father, Kurt Angle, showing up to rid the land of naysayers and non-suplexers

Evil Vito 02-29-2016 09:17 AM

Swagger is so underutilized. Fairly certain he'd have been future endeavor'd long ago along with some of the other guys in the Superstars brigade if not for the fact that WWE basically never fires people anymore unless they feel there is cause.

Heisenberg 02-29-2016 09:30 AM

Heard a rumor about RAW being "Edgy" starting tonight through WrestleMania, anything is welcome after years of shit

Volare 02-29-2016 09:41 AM

Good. The pussification of America needs a wake up.

Sepholio 02-29-2016 09:57 AM

Let the depussification commence!

Evil Vito 02-29-2016 10:37 AM

That's all well and good until it goes right back to being the way it was after Mania.

They're just desperate to do anything they can to bring back lapsed viewers for the biggest show of the year even though like 90% of those viewers that come back for Mania will stop watching again.

Wonder if Shane-O has come back with a backstage role at all if this happens. He was always an ECW mark.

Blood and f-bomb, even fake and censored respectively, probably does mean they're at least going to edge toward it.

Droford 02-29-2016 10:42 AM

Brand split with Shane controling the edgier show.

Then you have pg show edgier show and NXT forvactusl wrestling. Cover all their bases

I get that is the new slogan of America in the media, but tell me if the RAW threads are PG at all. Everything I read or think is molded into Pre-PG era material, so when The Miz is on the screen, for example, I envision him being a clepto-masturbator and his opponents will come and accuse him of stealing their shit and jacking off on fellow wrestler's gym bags.

Every time I go to RAW I stand by the tour bus line that Cena, Show and Orton park and chill at hoping for a storyline to brew of their opponents trashing their vehicles.

Going outside in public and seeing everyone on their phones is very discerning, but it's just the typical craze, an advanced craze, but a craze nonetheless. Those devices will be infused in us someday until it's a HUD(Heads Up Display) embedded into your eye sockets and brain. Artificial Intelligence is real and Judgement Day is coming.

I feel terrible for you, you're a very passionate fan when it comes to your entertainment and sports so I don't mean any harm to your face. I'm very optimistic mainly in part to this coming WrestleMania being the first time I attend which is bullshit b/c I'm a big fan and should have attended by now. Got screwed out of WrestleMania 17, not this time.

You can usually count on Noid for some pretty bad ideas - this is not one of them.

Jari 02-29-2016 11:21 AM

I'd also be in favour of Swagger joining a revamped version of Team Angle with Kurt as his mentor.

I'm all for that, but replace Swagger with Jordan and Chad By Gawd Gable

I was thinking all three of them. After all if there's one thing we need prepped, it's 3 man groups given WWE creative's penchant for 6 man tags.
