I started reading Marvel with House of M. Which was kinda weird to do, because for a lot of the characters I didn't really know, the first version I read was an alternate timeline version. I am way behind now. So behind that the last major event I read was Siege.

Wow that really was pretty fucking fantastic.
Jaimie Alexander has teased on Twitter that she did some Sif stuff for... who knows. She didn't say. Age of Ultron, SHIELD, Ant-Man reshoots, who knows.

SPOILER: show |
Did that at least take?

Vinnie Diesel updated his FB cover photo with a picture of him and "are you Inhuman"....maybe hinting?
His named was linked to Black Bolt way back. Dunno if he's actually in the running.
Quote:
Then again it would be pretty hilarious if one of his characters was voice only and the other everything but. |
Yeah, if anything he might make a good Gorgon, but I definitely can't see him as Black Bolt.
I'd imagine they're going to ditch the "speaking destroys errthang" stipulation to Black Bolt in the flim...I mean, I cant really imagine Marvel having the leader of the Inhumans just making faces for 2 hours. Works in books, probably not so much in film.
This would be the same studio that made a talking gun toting racoon work on film.

I don't think they'd make Black Bolt talk. Most of what they've done so far has been somewhat loyal to the comics, and has catered to comic fans whilst still appealing to mainstream audiences.
Groot was one of the most loved characters from Guardians. I've seen him all over any Marvel advertising/displays at work, and yet his only dialogue consists of three words throughout the whole movie. Black Bolt not talking on film will work. |
"Gambit" starring Channing Tatum officially announced for release on October 7, 2016

Cool.

Latino Review (which has a history of being spot on with inside info) says Spidey will be in Infinity War I.
Obviously years from now, but if true, that will be huge. |
HERE WE GO
I hope it's still Andrew Garfield, but yeah this is gonna be fucking incredible if it's true.
Yeah Latino review also stated that Cap was gonna be dead until Infinity War and that Thor will be in cosmic jail some how.
Not buying it. |
They might be. They are only signed for so many movies, and Marvel might want to save their last appearance for the final movie.
Civil War ended with Cap dying, and that's the next Cap movie. |
I'm not putting anything past Marvel anymore.
Quote:
No idea about the cosmic jail stuff. |
Could he not sign an extension/new contract?
Impossible.
Evans could sign more, but it was stated a bunch of times how little movies he had left. And you can't ignore how many movies Stan signed for, considering Winter's promotion in the comics.
MCU Spidey won't be Andrew but he had a good run. The issues with the Amazing movies were not his fault. |
This was likely but the Russos confirmed that Black Widow will be in Civil War. Anthony Mackie was already set to appear. Curiously enough, Sebastian Stan has yet to be confirmed to return.
Article I read confirmed both Black Widow and Winter Soldier as returning.
Hey guys I just read this very moment that Winter Soldier is coming back!
Quote:
Really hope Civil War turns out good, since Winter Soldier was so good....
Worried with the addition of so many people... especially Iron Man.... |
We must trust the Russos. The writing team is the same as well.
Some ah... heavy shit going down between the 616 and Ultimate universe. DC fans are well aware what comes out of this. I likened the new Secret Wars to Marvel's own Crisis event, and I guess I was more on the money than I thought.
I wonder what stays and what goes. |
I haven't read an Ultimate book since the abomination that was Ultimatum. Did they manage to right that ship with the four characters that were still alive after that?
I haven't an Ultimate book since Ultimate Spider-Man arc 2.
I read one once. That is about it. Downloaded a big torrent of the Ultimate universe years ago and never read it. Might still have those files somewhere...
Miles Morales The Ultimate Spiderman (or however the fuck it's called right now) is decent, yet weird, like I mentioned in this thread (Peter Parker returning from the dead, Osborn returning from the dead twice). All-New Ultimates blow, the Ultimate FF is terrible and Ultimate X-Men is mediocre.
Hm, I think Ultimate X-Men is no longer a thing, though.
Anyway, Ultimate Universe went to shit. |
Wait.
Are New Ultimates and All New Ultimates two different books? Cause New Ultimates was fucking great. |
Quote:
All New Ultimates is one of the only 3 Ultimate Marvel titles at the moment. It's a bunch of kids basically. Miles Morales, Kitty Pryde, Cloak and Dagger, etc. |

LES GO
Sophie Turner cast as Jean Grey
Tye Sheridan cast as Cyclops Alexandra Shipp cast as Storm |
Turner is a great choice for young Jean.
Dunno who the rest of those people are. |
Aaaaand the OG cast are officially done. These kids will lead the next trilogy.
Quote:
The kid they got to play Scott looks a bit like the guy playing his brother in the films.
is Hugh Jackman going to be in Apocalypse? like official?
Yet to be confirmed, apparently.
Quote:
The Cyclops kid looks like a fucking dumbass, I don't like Sophie Turner as Jean Grey and the black kid is gonna play a black kid, so that's ok I guess. |
How do 'fucking dumbasses' look?
I agree with Jean Grey, not a match for me. Your race jokes fall flat a lot of the time. |
It was not a race joke, you fucking nigger.
I just don't give a fuck about her casting. Just a black kid, give her white hair and she's Storm. Neither a yay nor nay from me. |
So if I were to say, "Just take a white kid, give him red shades, BOOM he's Cyclops," as a reply to your issues with him looking like a 'fucking dumbass' - that works for you?
I guess.
Alright then.
The casting doesn't seem that bad.
Still not upcoming Fantastic Four levels of horrid casting.

Fox has penned the deal for an X-Men TV show of some sort. No creative talent is attached yet, and certainly no confirmation that it's set in the Singer-verse.
The last live-action X-Men appearance on TV was the movie/series pilot Generation X, which failed admirably. |
I think X-Force could work as a TV show, but supposedly it's gonna be a movie.
X-Force or a teenage X-Men team. Morloks, too.
I think a straight up X-Men tv series could be good. Teenage "first class" with Cyclops, Jean, Beast, Angel, Iceman.
Probably better to use the 'Giant Size' relaunch team, much more international with Storm, Colossus, and Nightcrawler. Or maybe just mix and match.
Joss Whedon has confirmed he is not directing Infinity War Parts 1 or 2. Bear in mind the rumor that the Russo bros were top picks to take the helm.
I imagine he'll look over the story at the very least, as it's the big finale of things he set in motion. |
boner jams! that's pretty neat!
YEAH! :y:
also sounds like bye bye to andrew garfield.
Even though I wasn't so crazy about them... Still wanted at least one more Andrew Garfield Spider-Man movie... Finish up whatever hell kind of story they were trying to do with Richard Parker thing....
My hype is real.
Well holy fucking shit this is fucking amazing!!!
I really hope Garfield stays in the role though. |
why would they recast Garfield as Parker... as if this shit wasn't confusing enough already
Lot of people hoping MCU Spidey is Miles Morales. Glad I'm not alone on that one. Been saying Miles should be MCU Spidey forever. And then Donald Glover would be set. Also would take the edge off seeing a third Spidey in a decade. But if they wanna go with a new Peter that's cool, too.

First off I don't think it would be that hard to do that. I think you can easily connect involving the Spider man movies into the marvel movies.
2nd off is really that big of a deal if it doesn't fit perfectly within the Marvel Movies? The positive of Andrew Garfeld being in an Avengers movie far outweighs any storyline differences negatives. |
Bring back Tobey :shifty:
We're talking about a hero who lives in the city where a major MCU event happened. Two movies that (simply could not) mention the Chitauri invasion, and then Phase 2 movies that (also could not) mention this guy in pajamas fighting a giant lizard and an urban thunder god. Put a gun to my head and sure I could fine a narrative workaround, but Kevin and his boys seem to think the continuity holes are a big deal as well. Otherwise the news would be Andrew having a spot in Civil War or something.
Just so I'm clear, I would like to see Andrew in the MCU because I like him as Spidey. I once had a thought that Hugh Jackman could appear in the MCU simply as 'Logan', transplanted without the FoX-Men history. Basically playing a new version of his own character. I think something like that could get Andrew in without a need to recast. Since Marvel will be doing Sony's Spidey movies for them I imagine there's some creative refurbishing as well. The rumor mill back during the Sony hack revealed that Marvel already had ideas on their Spidey movie, and I'm betting the direction is more in line with the MCU 'style' (insert film genre + action/comedy + continuity). They probably feel the Amazing movies just isn't what they'd continue. They adjusted most of Phase 3 for their Spidey movie. They were ready. Curiously, it seems Sony is STILL going with their Sinister Six movie (and possibly Venom as well). |

Quote:
I know it's not going to happen, because everything I'm reading says Garfield is out. I just think it would be cool if he was in it. Sinster 6 and a Venom movie only make sense now if it's in the current marvel universe... Otherwise why do it? |
Despite some of the questionable casting, the Raimi movies captured the feel of the comic perfectly. That was my problem with the amazing movies. It didn't "feel" like spider-man the same way the original trilogy did. It just felt like your run of the mill modern superhero movie.

Maybe they introduce the multiverse and a portal rips open in space-time and throws Andrew Garfield into the MCU!
I'm having One More Day flashbacks.
Those aren't good to have. |
Quote:
The Amazing Spider-Man movies are not bad by any stretch. They aren't as good as Spider-Man 1 or 2... Or not as good as most of the Marvel Universe movies. Defintely not as good as any of the Phase 2 movies. If they came out in 2005-2007 range I think people would be talking differently about them. |

I'm not sure anymore, is it gonna be Reynolds in a suit or CGI?
Cause I'd rather see Reynolds in a suit. |
CGI? That was just the test footage.
