Yakuza like a dragon is addicting but I broke the game due to doing the entire business simulator early on and making way too much money

Destor 04-30-2023 08:43 PM

You will completely bust the economy for sure. Plus the character you get for that is pretty useful

Destor 04-30-2023 08:44 PM

I think 2 games have ever made me cry that one is on the list

Destor 04-30-2023 08:44 PM

Maybe 3 games

Destor 04-30-2023 08:44 PM

Outstanding story though

Frank Drebin 05-01-2023 01:26 PM

What other games have made you cry?

Destor 05-01-2023 02:00 PM

The Last of Us 1 and the PS4 Spider-Man

She has the best attack skills in the party by far, nearly every encounter is an instant takedown. I do find the story compelling but I get confused by it easily

Fignuts 05-03-2023 11:06 PM

Trying Redfall since its on gamepass.

It's not terrible or anything, but given the studio's previous efforts, it's very pedestrian.

Kalyx triaD 05-10-2023 04:14 PM

If I told you guys there was a F2P Soccer/MOBA mishmash with shockingly attractive character designs that didn't play like complete shit would you believe that?

Omega Strikers.

Fignuts 05-12-2023 11:11 AM

Looks interesting.

Best soccer game is rocket league.

Used a gift card I got for my birthday to get Town of Light on the Switch. If it ends up being bleh, no skin off my nose as it was basically free.

I actually accomplished what I thought was impossible, for me at least, by actually beating the original 1987 Street Fighter. If I ever touch that thing again, it'll be too soon. :|

Emperor Smeat 05-18-2023 01:26 AM

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

Spent the first couple of days just playing in the tutorial Sky land area and took my first dive into the regular world.

First dive off the Temple of Time launch pad area ended up with Link splatting himself on the ground and dying because I didn't pay attention until right near the end to where I was located in the little lake area below. I thought I was far away enough from land to safely fall in water and spent almost the whole time instead looking away at the scenery of the world map while in mid-air.

ClockShot 05-21-2023 10:51 AM

Finished the Burning Shores DLC for Horizon: Forbidden West.

Guerrilla got a bit lazy here. Frozen Wilds was a better DLC.

ClockShot 05-23-2023 04:08 PM

Fired the Switch back up and popped in Metroid Dread.

Hot damn, this looks good.

drave 05-24-2023 09:15 AM

Monster hunter Rose and Sunbreak.... soooooooo good.

Diablo 4 when it drops on the 6th and then nothing else for the rest of the year

ClockShot 05-31-2023 07:47 AM

Finished Metroid Dread. Fun times.

I'll dip my toe into Season of the Deep for Destiny 2 and report back if it's something fun. But I'm just biding my time until Final Fantasy 16 drops in a few weeks.

drave 06-07-2023 03:39 PM

Diablo IV - when I get time.

Lock Jaw 06-08-2023 01:19 AM

Opened up Microsoft Minesweeper for the first time in awhile cause I saw the start menu icon had changed.... they overhauled the look and feel and have completely ruined it... sounds and response not relaxing anymore.... Damn.... RIP Minesweeper....

I forgot I bought Splatoon 3 for Switch. I had fun for a minute with 2.

Fignuts 06-15-2023 01:28 AM

Started Ghost of Tsushima. Absolutely incredible so far. Combat is so satisfying.

ClockShot 06-15-2023 07:19 PM

Playing the Final Fantasy 16 demo. Liking it so far. But, needs more action and less cutscenes.

Destor 06-15-2023 09:03 PM

Gotta disagree with you there. Unlike the combat the cutscenes are good

I love Splatoon 3. It's probably my most-played game since it's come out. Doesn't hurt that my 9 year old niece is in love with the game so gives me extra motivation to do my daily wins for Catalogue levels haha. I am a filthy Inkbrush main.

Just realized after playing that saved data can be passed on to the main game. So, yeah. I guess I was playing the intro.

Still fun though.

ClockShot 06-22-2023 05:38 AM

Final Fantasy 16 later on this afternoon when I get out of work.

DAMN iNATOR 07-01-2023 12:39 PM

I’ve recently gotten back into Watch Dogs 2 for what is now evidently the third time. First played it in 2017, then again in 2020, and never cleared the main story because I didn’t have the patience to solve the Prime_Eight bunker puzzle in “Hacker War”, which gives you 5 minutes or the room, rigged to blow, kills Marcus.

Finally beat that one yesterday, and a couple others, and seems like I’m close to the end, as the new main op I got is called “Hack Teh World”.

ClockShot 07-21-2023 06:04 PM

Finished my first run of Final Fantasy 16. What a lot of fun.

SPOILER: show
Yet again, robbed of a happy ending. :'(

Gonna do a 2nd run on New Game+. Should go a little faster.

Helmsphere 07-25-2023 02:36 AM

Went back to Midnight Suns since I got a little tired of Diablo 4.

rez 08-06-2023 07:49 PM

Baldur's Gate III.

rez 08-06-2023 10:56 PM

I bet half of us chose penis option D over E

I bet one of us chose E over D because they looked the same

Emperor Smeat 08-07-2023 11:40 PM

Still chugging along with Tears of the Kingdom but its been more on-and-off in terms of playing in recent weeks.

Finished Saints Row III over past week and it was enjoyable overall despite not caring that much about its story by the end of it. Between it, II, & IV, still had the most fun playing II out of those games in the series.

Did also get AEW Fight Forever on discount the same time I got Saints Row III but put that on the back burner until I finished Saints Row III first.

OssMan 08-09-2023 09:44 PM

I'm finally free of TOTK, didn't get as bored of it as I did in BOTW, both phenomenal games, but I can't shake the feeling of being upset that Zelda isn't what I grew up with anymore

rez 08-12-2023 10:51 PM

When's Spring Stampede, errr Stadium Stampede dropping? Def need to PS5 meetup.

Maybe some impromptu matches tonight!

ClockShot 08-13-2023 02:59 PM

Finished my Final Fantasy difficulty run for Final Fantasy 16. All done with it.

I have Atlas Fallen on preorder from GameStop. However, GameStop never received the game. :?:

Let you all know how it goes if I ever get it.

drave 08-14-2023 11:18 AM

Was wondering about that game. Never hear of it but saw a badass looking preview.

Lemme know whatcha think. Part of me feels like the super cool looking combos would become super repetitive real quick, kinda like DMC.

ClockShot 08-17-2023 07:44 PM

Atlas Fallen on the PS5.

*sigh*

Agitating is the word I'll use for now.

Fignuts 08-17-2023 09:09 PM

Got the boys to try out Broforce Forever now that it's on gamepass. Also unlocked all the new bros from the update. They're all a lot of fun.

Armored Core 6 getting great reviews and I am so ready to play.

After I knock off Atlas Fallen.

Destor 08-28-2023 01:30 PM

Juuuuuuuuuuuuuust about to wrap THe Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure. I think im going to start Gal Guardians before WrestleQuest/Sea of Stars but the order could flip depending on my mood.

ClockShot 08-31-2023 06:51 PM

Finished off Atlas Fallen.

Ugggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggh. So conflicted here. Deck 13 has something here.

It's one of those cases where if the team had a few smarter and experienced people on staff, A LOT more time, a bigger budget, etc. This game could have been great.

Give it a try. But I'd wait until it hits the bargain bin and if a few more patches or updates drop.

Sepholio 09-02-2023 07:46 PM

Sea of Stars is everything I hoped for and more. Really scratching my nostalgia itch. The soundtrack especially. Nothing short of top tier there. Also really appreciate the inclusion of items that you can enable/disable to tune the difficulty and gameplay experience. Makes the game much more approachable for my younglings.

Destor 09-02-2023 10:19 PM

Loving sea of starsso far. I didnt use the hp relic but i did use the one for extra feedback to know when your timing is right. I dont think its making it easier to succeed just easier to know when you're doing it right.

Sepholio 09-03-2023 01:59 PM

Yeah I used that one too. That feedback helped me get my timing down to where I don't really need it any more.

Sepholio 09-03-2023 02:00 PM

Love the little nods to things everywhere, especially the chrono trigger love. When I saw that lone guy staring off into the distance in the mountains and he said "Mountains are nice" I knew what was up lol.

Destor 09-04-2023 11:06 AM

Everything is so well animated. From the sprites to the dialogue portraits to the fully animated scenes. Theres a ton of chracter in every frame.

M-A-G 09-05-2023 05:19 PM

Mega Man 10 finally got scratched off the list.

ClockShot 09-05-2023 07:32 PM

Took a slight detour and jumped back into Maneater. Checked the PlayStation Sale and saw the Truth Quest DLC was only $5. So I grabbed it.

Should have it all done in a couple days. I mean, I clocked at 10 hours for the main game.

drave 09-06-2023 09:57 AM

Maneater was so fun

ClockShot 09-06-2023 07:30 PM

The DLC isn't.

Tom Guycott 09-06-2023 11:08 PM

So, I just got around to playing Hades...

I don't remember even buying it, but it was sitting in my Switch library. Thing was, I *thought* I had Vampire Survivors and was late to the party about the DLC (plural) for that. I didn't even have the base game. And with the "similar" reccomendations, there was Hades... but marked as downloaded.

It feels like for the sake of narrative progression, I was supposed to have died way more at this point than I actually have. That's not a bitch about the difficulty, though. Especially having to contend with Theseus. Making him both a pain to battle AND an absolute shithead brings a certain charm. But I find myself losing most of my revives with him. And that's even before adding any Punishments.

Splaya 09-07-2023 09:45 AM

PGA Tour 2k23. A few friends and I play nightly. A lot of fun.

Warzone.

Probably going to finally add Final Fantasy 16 to the mix. Have heard nothing but great things about the game and can't wait to dive in.

ClockShot 09-08-2023 12:23 PM

Armored Core 6.

From Software can't kick the souls habit. They threw it at me in the first mission.

drave 09-08-2023 12:42 PM

I wanna play Starfield more.... but the 30FPS lock bothers my eyes after playing Cyberpunk for the past few weeks.

:(

ClockShot 09-28-2023 01:17 PM

Had to put Armored Core 6 down. Way too frustrating.

Starfield is locked and loaded on my PC. I'll start that tonight or tomorrow.

road doggy dogg 10-04-2023 12:12 PM

Just picked up Disgaea 7 yesterday. Was very disappointed with 6 (like everyone else) but 7 seems something like a return to form. Tried the demo out and enjoyed it. The day 1 DLC stuff is absurdly predatory but I don't care enough about these games to get FOMO'd into buying DLC for characters I'll never use so I just bought the base version of the game. Have yet to really sink my teeth into it yet but looking forward to spending the next few weeks of my gaming life grinding away

DAMN iNATOR 10-07-2023 07:13 PM

Saints Row 5/Saints Row (2022). Not ashamed.

Fignuts 10-12-2023 02:01 PM

Started Lies of P. Early impressions are that its possibly the best soulslike I've ever played. It's kind of a melsing of dark souls and sekiro. You have all the stat leveling and different weapons and armor from souls. And from sekiro you get the heavy emphasis on parrying on combat. Theres also a skill tree and pinnochio's legion Arm reminds me of the prosthetic in sekiro.

ClockShot 10-12-2023 02:52 PM

Mechwarrior 5 dropped a new DLC based around House Kurita. Gonna see what that's all about.

Sepholio 10-12-2023 04:50 PM

Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe.

No idea how I've never played any iteration of this until now. Absolutely brilliant game.

Emperor Smeat 10-20-2023 06:08 PM

Super Mario Wonder.

The game arrived this morning from the mail but only now got around to playing it today.

Came with a free pack of Super Mario Wonder trading cards as part of a pre-order bonus for it. The cards sort of feel like Uno cards in terms of how they look with the rounded edges and feel to them.

ClockShot 10-20-2023 07:05 PM

Mechwarrior 5 DLC was solid. The new Longbow mech that got included not so much.

Grabbing Spider-Man 2 tomorrow after work. Got all of next week to swing around Manhattan once again.

ClockShot 10-23-2023 09:31 AM

On to Spider-Man 2.

And good golly Insomniac started it off with a bang!

Sepholio 10-24-2023 09:14 PM

Way late to the party (because the game seemed dumb to me until I played it finally) but I'm now officially addicted to the crack cocaine that is Vampire Survivor.

ClockShot 10-30-2023 10:28 AM

Finished Spider-Man 2 this morning.

Amazing. No pun intended.

Big Vic 10-30-2023 04:09 PM

Played CS:2 for an hour and got kicked from a casual match up. Not playing again.

AndyC 11-04-2023 07:58 AM

What about retro bowl college? I've only played the game for a few hours so far, but I'm really impressed. The gameplay is just as fun and challenging as the original game, and the college football elements add a lot of new depth and strategy.

ClockShot 11-05-2023 11:35 AM

Grabbed Robocop: Rogue City

Prime Directives:

1. Serve the Public Trust
2. Protect the Innocent
3. Uphold the Law
4. CLASSIFIED
5. Have Fun

drave 11-07-2023 08:42 AM

I kinda wanted to get that..... think Ill wait till the sale

ClockShot 11-11-2023 07:35 AM

Finished Robocop: Rogue City.

I only recommend if you're a big fan of the franchise. Like myself. If not, you'll probably want to stay away.

Black Widow 11-17-2023 08:22 PM

Dreamlight Valley

M-A-G 11-18-2023 09:06 PM

A long time ago, I saw a game advertised on the back of one my You Don't Know Jack cases. It was called Backstage Pass: The Ultimate Rock & Roll Trivia Game. It sounded neat and I always like these sorts of game, but I never saw it in stores. Well, after all this time with it slipping my mind, I came across it and ordered it and it came in today, where I'm finally enjoying its goodness. :)

ClockShot 11-19-2023 08:15 AM

After trading in Robocop: Rogue City, and having some Gamestop points to spare, I got Assassins' Creed: Mirage pretty much for free.

Regretting it. But I'm getting it knocked out as fast as I can and moving on to something else.

Emperor Smeat 11-19-2023 08:47 PM

Beat Super Mario Wonder last night with my nephew.

That final fight with Bowser is right up there with my all-time favorite Bowser battles in the Mario series.

Also Nintendo really loves having a final boss or boss in general in their games that is either a floating head and hands or just floating hands. Want to say that might be at least the 5th or 6th time that has happened for a Nintendo game I've played.

Destor 11-19-2023 09:05 PM

Its probably in the 30s honestly. Every star fox game ends with Andros. Zelda very commonly has one. OoT spriti temple for instance. But its almost as common as the Ghomma archetype. Nearly every game has one. I bet if we sat down and talked it out we'd clear 2 dozen without struggling.

Emperor Smeat 11-19-2023 09:20 PM

Just off the top of my head personally that I experienced:
  • Star Fox 64
  • Smash Bros series in general
  • Splatoon 1
  • Donkey Kong Country Returns
  • Super Mario Wonder

OOT Spirit Temple was the shit. That was a very fun boss fight too.

I would like a OOT remake-ish. Make it look like Elden Ring but follow the same everything else.

Finished AC: Mirage.

Easily the most boring game I've played out of the series.

Going to jump back into Lost Judgement. Started out slow plot wise and I put it down. I'll get back into it and knock it off.

Fignuts 11-29-2023 10:09 AM

Deep into the Vampire Survivors addiction.

Also tried out Rollerdrome, which just hit gamepass. It's basically tony hawk with guns. Very fun.

drave 11-29-2023 12:14 PM

Have Vampire Survivors downloaded but not played it yet.

drave 01-04-2024 08:07 AM

Fired up Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak last night. Took a short break because Amatsu was my first "wall".

I beat Amatsu last night. Everyone was asleep and no one cares, but I was very excited.

I hate life.

What's the deal with this Palworld game?

Fignuts 02-15-2024 07:49 AM

I finished Sea of Stars and holy shit, what a game.

I knew it was made by the same devs as The Messenger, but I didn't know it took place in the same world. Getting to Mesa Island had me marking out.

Also if you have played sea of stars, but not the Messenger, make sure you remedy that.

Destor 02-23-2024 05:09 AM

REBIRTH TIME WOOOOOOOOOO

road doggy dogg 02-29-2024 09:04 AM

My niece got the Splatoon 3 DLC and I was over watching her play it for a bit. Made me really wanna grab it. Got me wanting to finish off the Splatoon 2 DLC first since I never have yet, so been playing that a bunch this week. Beat the main boss of it, and have now done 74/80 of the levels... 6 more to go. This shit has caused me to almost break my Switch about 3 dozen times now. I swear Splatoon makes me rage like some kind of LoL player lol

Destor 03-01-2024 07:55 AM

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth

Sepholio 03-02-2024 05:36 AM

Rebirth is so much better than Remake. This is the game I wanted. So much stuff to do now too. I'm still in the grasslands around Kalm/Chocobo Farm and there is just tons more world building here than in the original.

Sepholio 03-02-2024 05:39 AM

It's actually pretty nice to be able to explore without random battles stopping you every 10 steps, too.

One small gripe I have is that the elevation changes of terrain can be very annoying during battle sometimes. Makes you miss attacks/break combos sometimes. It's not so much a problem as it is something I need to get used to. Positioning matters now and I haven't gotten that through my thick skull yet.
