Battleship: 7/10.. Rihanna doesn't get blasted in this one as she has a huuuge role character chewing up the scenery by trying hard to be an ass-kicker marine..
And yes, the aliens resembled much like Halo's Covenant warriors.. Even had color coded bio suits too. Yellow, Green, a little bit of black and blue. Stay tuned for the extra ending after the end credits roll... The minor blonde chick character, I almost mistook her for Charlize Theron... |
How did you watch Battleship already, since it doesn't come out for another month?

The Hunger Games - 3/5
Compare this to the average sci-fi film and it does pretty well. Compare this to the average great movie and it does not do as well as it did previously. I will happily watch nearly any sci-fi film of this quality. |
Reign Over Me - 8/10
American Beauty - 9/10 |
Cabin in the Woods - 78
|
In Time 7/10
I wasnt initially that big of a fan of the premise, but its sort of like an update of Logans Run with the time as a currency twist and it grew on me by the end. |
Do documentaries count in this thread? If so...
Knuckle, 7/10. Great insight to a world I may never experience first hand. |
Shame 9/10
Such an emotionally draining movie. A snapshot into a brief portion of someone's life who is dealing with an addiction and demons from his past. Fassbender gave a stunning performance, and I couldn't help but feel aware of the character's state of mind in every scene just by how fluidly Fassbender portrayed him. The emotion; or in most cases, the way he distanced himself from feeling emotion, was raw and painful to watch at times. I don't think I could watch this movie again. It really took it out of me and made me take a look at my own flawed and distant relationship with my own sister. Obviously not for the reasons the characters had in the film, but because of our own demons in our childhood that have caused us to grow apart over the years. Kind of makes you realize that other people who went through similar situations could actually be having their own battle, and to be distant or harsh to them because of your own faults isn't fair to them. |
that movie made me cry IN THEATRES. :$
|
Hunger Games - 8/10
|
Four Brothers - 6/10
Death Warrant - 5/10 The Net - 5/10 |

A plotline that 90% of people would really do if it happened in real life like these 2 characters did: Kill people just because they're simply being stupid, obnoxious, famous in reality shows like American Idol, Glee, MTV sweet 16, religious assholes, etc... Imagine this movie giving people ideas who'll probably end up helpless and fucked just like the main character guy does.. It's like I'm watching Oliver Stone's Natural Born Killers and Leon The Professional in one. I hope this movie doesn't give any of us ideas when we're totally helpless and we can't help fantasize of getting rid of our annoyances in our daily lives just by shooting randomly.. 10/10. The ending shootout is almost similar to Rob Zombie's SPOILER: show Another best part was this girl mentioning she hates Green Day and stuff but likes Alice Cooper as a god saying that without Alice and rock music, there'll be no Mansons or Trent Reznors in our fucked society and the one where she talks about Glee ruining high school stereotypes, gays, and Rocky Horror Picture Show. Great movie. <iframe src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/yruArw21EGA" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" width="560"></iframe> |
Warrior - 9/10
it actually brought tears to my eyes at the end. |
The Cabin In The Woods-9/10. Kind of brilliant.
|
cabin in the woods: 10/10 fuckin marked for the whole thing
|
Cabin in the Woods: As above 10/10. Loved the whole thing.
Alien Nation: 7/10. Checking out the TV series now too. |
https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net...79211873_n.jpg
Oh..my..fucking.god. I was expecting to be disappointed.. But prepare to get brainfucked again. This movie well, let's just say that the premise is much like Cabin in The Woods then it turns out to be a fucking horrific darker version of Marty McFly's Back To The Future storyline.. Yes, maybe I'm wrong to say it or just being generous.. And why am I saying that? Well, spoilers ahead if you wanna read or just go see it for yourself. SPOILER: show I won't tell the ending.. I could go on and on about it.. Man, never have I enjoyed a film that's sooo fucking unexpected, I didn't see that one coming.. Also, pay attention to what happens in the start of the movie with the grocery guy being held at gunpoint and the characters keep on asking SPOILER: show 8/10. |
Colombiana 9/10
A Good Old Fashioned Orgy 7/10 |

|
Although the 2nd half and final ones are a bit more serious.. It had a few giggle moments. :p
|
The Darkest Hour 7/10
|
Honestly, guys. I did not enjoy Cabin in the Woods as much as you guys. Maybe I'm missing something.
6.5/10 |
The Devil's Double - 4/5
Top marks to Dominic Cooper for pulling double duty in this. Would have given it a perfect score if it wasn't for the 15+ minutes of Gulf War footage spread out across the movie. |
Sphere- 5/5
Real mind-fuck of a scifi story and it didn't pull any punches with a happy ending. |
Human Centipede 2: 0/10
As a huge horror movie fan, I enjoyed the first Human Centipede. Even though the main point was to gross the shit out of everyone, there were actually some well-done scenes. The sequel though, holy shit. Awful in every single aspect. I would actually say it's the worst movie I have ever seen. |
A Cabin In The Woods 10/10
Fucking loved it. Had no idea what to expect as I purposely avoided reading anything about it except that 'it was good'. |
The Avengers 10/10.
And goddamn, best fucking movie ever!!! Much better than the solo versions of Thor and Capt. America put together... Stay tuned for an extra ending after the mid-credits during the display of the cast and film production sequences... And I think I saw SPOILER: show EDIT: Someone just told me about that mysterious villain smiling evilly, and it's SPOILER: show |
Nowhere To Run - 2/10
All About Steve - 0/10. Turned this off not even halfway through. American Psycho - 7/10 |
Hostel Part 3 6/10
Not as bad as I expected for direct to DVD (ugh) and not nearly as outright gory..but it did have at least 1 plot twist I didnt see coming and had a somewhat satisfying ending. |
Casino Jack - 7/10
Fight Club - 8/10 We Were Soldiers - 8/10 |
Avengers 10/10. Fantastic film.
|
Speedway Junky - 7/10
My Week With Marilyn - 8/10 The Broken Hearts Club - 8/10 |
http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9GUO5QrEA8...+UK+poster.jpg
7/10. Love it.. Wonder if any bigot asshole cops would learn their lessons after seeing this movie or they keep doing shit just to get away with it. |
Paths Of Glory & V for Vendetta - 7/10
|
Recoil 6/10
Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol 10/10 |
Daffy Duck's Quackbusters - 10/10
|
Marmaduke: 5/10
|
Never Back Down - 6/10
|
Moneyball: 6.5/10. Pretty overrated.
|
Loved Moneyball, and I hate baseball. :(
|
It wasn't bad, just overrated. I found it overlong, and didn't see anything terribly special in any of the performances.
|
Moneyball could be my favorite movie ever. I need to watch it probably two more times before I make the final decision.
My favorite quote: "You gotta steal you gotta bunt you gotta get men in scoring position and then you gotta bring them in and you don't do that with a bunch of statistical gimmicks. Nobody reinvents this game." |
American (Pie) Reunion - 8/10
Felt like the success of The Hangover helped with the greenlighting/release of this but it was pretty good stuff. Not sure a second reunion (as hinted at in the film) would fare as well. |
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...here_araki.jpg
Gregg Araki's Nowhere - 7/10 abit of a strange movie but it was pretty good Araki certainly has a distinct filmmaking style with his dark humor and what not |
Straw Dogs: 8/10
Really enjoyed it. |
Avengers: 9.5/10. The consummate comic book flick.
|
my enjoyment of avengers was a 10 but compairing to like...every great movie ever...9.
|
The Avengers - 5/5
Mind........blown. |
http://abagond.files.wordpress.com/2...ils-poster.jpg
Tuskegee Airmen TV adaptation... Other than that, the dogfights are what you'd expect that almost look like this movie needs to be on a XBOX game console. Heroes Over Europe anyone? :P And I don't know if it's accurate that even P-51 Mustangs can really outmatch a first jet fighter of Nazi warplanes, ME-262... The German fighter ace pilot is very underused as the main villain aside from the racial slurs within their military ranks and officers that consist of white people. Still, a decent movie. 7/10. |
The Avengers - 4.5/5
|
I watched "Everything Must Go" on Netflix the other day, and it surprised me how good it was. I gained a whole new respect for Will Ferrell and have recommended it to others.
Everything Must Go = 8/10 |
American Reunion - 8/10
7 points for that Kara chicks tits. Tara Reid sounded fucked up on drugs all thru it. Stifler was the man, still. Cameo by NPH. |
Avengers 10 out of 5 stars. Amazing.

Alpha Dog - 7/10
|
that new pirates kids movie - 6/10 - It was ok but very thin.
Titanic 3D - Awesome use of 3D for a change - 9/10 (yes I'm a dork and it's one of my favorite movies) The Avengers in 3D - Best use of 3D I have ever seen (I haven't seen many) and probably my favorite comic book movie ever. 9/10. One complaint but other than that it was perfect. |
Not the best quality but the best that can be done as it's still in theaters.
Ali Corbin's(Kara) nude scene from American Reunion(sorry it's not english) NSFW: show |
Avengers. 6/10. Average superhero flick, nothing special.
|
Movie before that, however: Cabin in the Woods. 10/10. Best "horror" movie ever made.
|
Avengers was nowhere near as good as you people think it was. It wasn't even a sub-par comparison to Watchmen (the best superhero movie ever).
|
|
Larry Crowne - 8/10
Really enjoyed it. Haven't seen a Tom Hanks movie in years. A few names in the movie that made me chuckle (Bryan Cranston, Wilmer Valderramma, Cedric the Entertainer, George Takei). |
The Avengers 10/10

The Avengers - Pretty good I guess if you wanna twist my arm over it and stuff/100
|
99 i guess, i dunno
|
Safe - 7/10
only posting this since I went and saw it, which I hardly ever do as opposed to posting every single thing I see in here. Pretty by the numbers American Statham film (great action sequences, no rocket science plotting, humourous one-liners, god awful American accent) thought it was going to be the worst film ever after the first 5/10 minutes, turned itself around. Easy way to spend 90 minutes. |

it's great
|
I saw like a 5 minute preview they ran of it to say they were showing it because HDNet is special and stuff
|
I watched the Stone Cold documentary on Netflix. I normally don't watch a lot of the wrestling documentaries on there but that one was pretty good. Sometimes I forget how awesome that guy was.
|
Hugo - 9/10
|
Dark Shadows
8.5/10 Mr. Depp is still awesome. Movie wasn't as 'comedic' as the previews made it seem, which was actually a blessing in disguise. Had a great time with this movie. |
The Avengers - 10/10
Epic. Big props to Scarlett Johansson. I thought she stole the show. |
The Avengers - 10/10
|
Drive 9.7/10
Gossling was fucking amazing. |
The Greatest Game Ever Played - 3.5/5
Watched this on golf channel this afternoon. Not bad. |
The Five-Year Engagement Plan - 7/10
|
Friday Night Lights 9.6/10
|
Hop - 7/10
Joyful Noise - 5/10 |
Warrior - 8/10 (despite Kurt Angle been in it for some reason)
Drive - 6/10 (started off good, went a bit downhill and the graphic violence seemed kind out of place) |
The Avengers - 9/10
A little too long for my taste, but still good. |
I Spy - 6/10
Cop Land - 5/10 |
everything must go
i watched hoping for some laughs but it just depressed the hell out of me |
Dark Shadows - 30
|
The Infidel - 7/10
|
American Reunion - 7/10.
|
Passenger 57 - 2/10
Tank Girl - 0/10 Assault On Precinct 13 - 10/10. John Carpenter version. That guy KNOWS how to make a good score. |
Saw two movies last night. Finally came round to watching 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotles Mind' which was pretty good. Probably not as great as I'd have hoped because I'd been waiting a long time to see this, so kinda had something truly epic built up in my min. Was still good though. :y:
And secondly, 'A Beautiful Mind'. Saw this around ten years ago, but didn't really pay much attention to it, so had no idea what was going on. Read something yesterday about John Nash and it mentioned how the movie ABM was based on him, so it kinda interested me to see it again and actually watch it properly. Really good film. Really enjoyed it and Russell Crowe did a great job. Overall, was a pretty decent night of movie watching. :y: |
American Beauty. Was fucking amazing. Really lived up to the hype I'd built into it. Had never seen this movie but have heard so much about it since it came out 13 years ago! Had a really gripping story and lots of interesting characters. Pretty sad about Lester being killed at the end, but overall great movie with lots of different, powerful messages. :y:
|
These are pretty much my first posts in this thread. I'm too lazy to rate movies, especially after only one viewing, but I'm currently streaming and watching shit loads of movies I've never seen that have wanted to for years, most of which are generally in IMBD's Top 250. I'll post each movie in here anyway and just give a brief opinion or whatever, though.
Probably gonna watch Saw VII later, since it's the only one I haven't seen, but after that I think I'll probably go with Full Metal Jacket, since I've not yet seen this one. |
Haywire - 6/10
The Dictator - 5/10 |
Saw The Advengers. 9/10
It's everything you'd think it is. So it's a good movie. Humor was kept in check and not over done. It's not the Iron Man show like many thought it would be. Black Widow was great. One of the best female characters I've watch in a very long time. I do have to say, you might want to check out Thor (Maybe read up on Captain America if you know nothing about his story since they fan girl over him a bit) before going since having the backstory is a bit is nice, but it's not needed. You can take is as is. But really good show. Can't wait for the next one. No shock there right people? |
Avengers 10/10
3D was a bit wasted and was watching for RPs spoiler the entire time but loved the film. |
Kind of tempted to be cheap and go see Avengers in 2D.
For me, Local Hero - 7/10. Not bad, but I kind of drifted away from it a bit towards the end. |
Sherlock Holmes 2 : 7/10
Was alright i guess. |
Everything Must Go - 7/10
Pretty good, albeit depressing movie. Didn't really have much to be happy about by the end. Didn't really address any of the issues that were presented with his character. Dunno. |
