Umad they botched even their "live" audience? They seemingly can't even cheer//boo very well :( And leave Mitch out of it. He was very well behaved. |
Wouldn’t be surprised if they called up Belair to help out Street Profits as they thought Sarah Logan would be there , forgetting that they had released her.

I actually think that was the plan.

Watching the episode of 1997 Shotgun where Pillman quits commentary and attacks a "fan".
Pillman was so great on commentary. Just making shoot comments and not giving a shit lol |
Was that whenhe was jabbing him with the pencil? I remember it vividly if so. I was like 10 or 11 and thought "how can wrestling be fake? This guy's legit crazy!"

I think my favorite part of this greatest match ever is how terribly awkward Charly Caruso sounded shoe-horning it onto the end of RAW two weeks ago.
Someone came up with the idea to tag this match with that line, then decided on that placement for it. Just so wonderful. |

It doesn't make sense in kayfabe. The goal of wrestling shouldn't be to have a "great match." I guess you could call Hogan vs. Andre a "great match" in terms of that promotional tact, so maybe they're going for that, but why Edge and Orton? Like, even if you like both guys and take their careers in kayfabe, it's still not, like, "the biggest" or a dream match. And it does sound like it's setting them up for failure. You don't set up a joke by saying it is going to be the funniest thing you've ever heard in your life, and you don't set up a wrestling match by promising quality. You present it as something people want to see and let it unfold. I'm honestly feeling like it doesn't happen. Or not in the way the WWE is leading you to believe. My first thought when I heard about it was that it's going to be a bait-and-switch or something. I'm expecting The Undisputed Era to crash it and attack both guys or something. Even so, it's still an awful and weird promotional tactic. Quote:

LOL Hogan complaining about a talent who just happened to be taking off, I'm so shocked lol

The timing is, well, not perfect -- he's been around a long time, haha -- but appropriate thematically. Survivor Series is 30 years of Taker. Could be a good place for a final match, or for him to announce a final stretch into this third decade, incorporating the Royal Rumble, probably Saudi Arabia and WrestleMania.

Keep the 10-count, Submission and add Pinfalls. It's very camera friendly and allows mat-based, submission and high-flying styles. Room for video/production too. |

An MVP-led heel stable of Bobby Lashley, Apollo Crews, Cedric Alexander, Ricochet & Bianca Belair is something I want to see... Crews slowly turns heel as MVP helps him retain his title, he backs Ricky & Cedric to turn on his current charges of Thorne & Vink, then leads them to eventually take the titles away from The Profits after Belair turns on them.
And if you didn't want Belair to turn on her legit husband, trade Naomi to Raw and have her turn heel instead.... |
New Nation stable

I feel opposite. I mean, yes, give MVP a group, but we don't need to repeatedly and perpetually make teams and stables based solely around ethnicity. It's lazy at minimum.

He's fucked. Vince and Trump are buds but Vince cares about the company more than anything else, being a distraction is acceptable to him if you bring money into the company but a random low card dude like him is probably gonna get the boot to save PR. Wouldn't be the first time, part of the "strikes" against Big Cass was that he was a vocal Trump supporter in a locker room that is very liberal. Although with things as heated as they are. you could just as easily have the right wing media killing the company for letting him go too. |
Seems like KO has been unhappy for a while anyway. Good for him.

I've gone through phases where I thought a stable that addressed race issues could be interesting. But it'd just be too polarizing with so many racists in the US. Like, Kofi Kingston takes a knee on a SmackDown and half you yanks will boo the fuck out of him forever and a day.
It's not the right sort of heat to get. Even if you try to make them babyfaces, or heels that are only booed because they are assholes, and maybe have a few token white guys in there, haha. It's also got that flavor of exploitation that WWE takes a MASSIVE beating for when it comes to things like the Iraq situation in 1991, or Muhammad Hassan when the terrorist attacks happened. It's way too divisive an issue, and WWE are just not mature or nuanced enough (fuck I hate that word, but it actually fits here), to even think about attempting it. MVP managing Bobby Lashley is enough. |
Sonny hasn't bothered to delete her tweet yet, still up

Yeah. Ok. And WWE are wankers. I'm not entirely sure they won't have Bobby Lashley win the WWE Title just to see what happens. Drew can always get it back in a few months. Stunt booking to stop the ratings decline. If they do it, they'll probably have a white babyface cost Drew in order to try and suggest to people it's not race related.
Seth Rollins would be likely. Or CM Punk if they can convince him. He's just back to cause chaos or something and wanted to pick a fight with the guy who was WWE Champion and beat Brock Lesnar. |
Vince is probably gonna dress Otis up in a Dashiki, call him Akeem Jr, put the strap on him and promote him as a African American World Champion.
