Also according to Fightful, WWE is freshening up their bloated NXT scene and weakened main roster brands with more call-ups planned over the next month.

Is that what you think they're going for? I'm asking that genuinely, because it is such a weird promotional angle.

It doesn't make sense in kayfabe. The goal of wrestling shouldn't be to have a "great match." I guess you could call Hogan vs. Andre a "great match" in terms of that promotional tact, so maybe they're going for that, but why Edge and Orton? Like, even if you like both guys and take their careers in kayfabe, it's still not, like, "the biggest" or a dream match. And it does sound like it's setting them up for failure. You don't set up a joke by saying it is going to be the funniest thing you've ever heard in your life, and you don't set up a wrestling match by promising quality. You present it as something people want to see and let it unfold.

I'm honestly feeling like it doesn't happen. Or not in the way the WWE is leading you to believe. My first thought when I heard about it was that it's going to be a bait-and-switch or something. I'm expecting The Undisputed Era to crash it and attack both guys or something. Even so, it's still an awful and weird promotional tactic.

Could be a good place for a final match, or for him to announce a final stretch into this third decade, incorporating the Royal Rumble, probably Saudi Arabia and WrestleMania.

Chrome has had issues with embedded Twitter videos for me for months. If I click on the tweet and actually go to Twitter it plays fine.... and then, the rest seem to play fine in embedded form after.

I've gone through phases where I thought a stable that addressed race issues could be interesting. But it'd just be too polarizing with so many racists in the US. Like, Kofi Kingston takes a knee on a SmackDown and half you yanks will boo the fuck out of him forever and a day.

It's not the right sort of heat to get. Even if you try to make them babyfaces, or heels that are only booed because they are assholes, and maybe have a few token white guys in there, haha. It's also got that flavor of exploitation that WWE takes a MASSIVE beating for when it comes to things like the Iraq situation in 1991, or Muhammad Hassan when the terrorist attacks happened. It's way too divisive an issue, and WWE are just not mature or nuanced enough (fuck I hate that word, but it actually fits here), to even think about attempting it. And WWE are wankers. I'm not entirely sure they won't have Bobby Lashley win the WWE Title just to see what happens. Drew can always get it back in a few months. Stunt booking to stop the ratings decline. If they do it, they'll probably have a white babyface cost Drew in order to try and suggest to people it's not race related.
