Yup. Found myself wondering what the point of moving her to Raw was while watching yesterday’s show.

Because despite what Triple H claimed a few times before, WWE legit doesn't plan things out for their call-ups.

Like with the Street Profits vs. Viking Raiders feud, her only involvement was to warn the Profits to stop goofing around and take the Raiders as a serious threat. Fast forward a couple of weeks and both teams are goofing off making everything she mentioned before meaningless.

Danny Electric 05-20-2020 03:36 PM

If you don’t think it’s the greatest wrestling match ever do you get your money back, got to be some false advertising there.

Mr. Nerfect 05-20-2020 05:47 PM

That's some weird/bad promotional philosophy. You never set something up like that. But also, what is the point of it? The idea of a match is to win in decisive fashion. Bullshit like "best bouts" and all that is contrary to the point of wrestling.

I'm thinking it doesn't even happen. Classic WWE. Either that or it's over in a couple of seconds. Maybe it spills into something else entirely?

I for one am utterly shocked that WWE had plans for a big storyline.

"I'll probably leave the room. I'm not gonna run," Undertaker joked. "If they're whole, that's one thing. If they're cut up, whew."

The Undertaker probably once ate a cucumber Paul Bearer had shoved up his ass or something.
Maybe he walked in on him pleasuring himself with a cucumber and realised that was the mystery flavour he had been tasting all along.

All depends on how bad her mental state was by that point. Even with no coronavorus around and having a strong support system, no guarantee this wouldn't have eventually happened.

If she was at the point of no return, nothing is going to change that beyond her own willpower.

Aside from the suicide, it does seem that there’s a recent trend of the Japanese women retiring very young. Arisa was only 24, Hazuki 22, Kagetsu 26. I know they all start training very young which unfortunately contributes to the injuries piling up very early on.

Meanwhile you’ve got Sumie Sakai still wrestling in the states at nearly 50.

There once was a cunt. For years the cunt would shiver and emit some loose noises. The villagers were really impressed and respected the cunt, and even put some velvet rope around it in the town square so to give it time to do what it was trying to do. Eventually the cunt's sputtering formed a noise recognizable...words! The cunt spoke words! The town people gathered around to listen to it speak. Afterwards, they realized the real trick was getting the cunt to shut the fuck up.

Her mental state drove her to this. It's not really a case of blaming others or denying blame. All fans should look at themselves and how they carry themselves, but she was obviously not well.

drave 05-23-2020 05:17 PM

Do you believe "her mental state that drove her to this" would have even existed if said fans would never have said anything? Highly doubtful.

What the fuck do you know about her mental health and history? Was she depressed growing up? What was her family life like? What were her finances? How was her love life? Were her employers fair?

She was a performer. It takes a certain kind of person to do that, and sometimes they put pressure on themselves or are dealing with some sort of depression from the start.

drave 05-23-2020 07:30 PM

Please ask yourself all the same questions and answer them please.

Fignuts 05-23-2020 08:41 PM

People don’t kill themselves because they want to die. They kill themselves when the pain caused by their mental illness outweighs their ability to cope with said pain. It’s a war of attrition that takes place over a long period of time. So it’s something she probably has been dealing with for a while now.

That said, I don’t think the role that people on social media played in her death should be downplayed. Especially considering she directly mentions it in her final farewell tweet.

It’s one thing to fight severe depression. I couldn’t even imagine trying to fight it while hundreds of people are sending you death threats and telling you to kill yourself on a daily basis.

Based on early indications, Hana ended up killing herself via hydrogen sulfide.

Also her mother was the first to find her lying dead on the floor.

Kairi Sane ended up being the first notable person to notice the disturbing tweet Hana had sent due to the timezones and contacted people from Stardom to rush to her aid.

drave 05-24-2020 10:16 AM

Kairi was also blaming herself for not noticing sooner. :(

Always hurts more than the person lost. Hope everyone is able to cope and move forward.

Bad News Gertner 05-24-2020 11:24 AM

I can't imagine finding your kid dead. A buddy of mine overdosed on Fentanyl and his mom found him dead in his apartment. Just the worst.

I've been saying the same thing. Whatever number RAW or SD eventually settles at, add about 200-300k to that when live crowds are back and that's the new normal. (My prediction for RAW is 1.5 and SD 1.8 during during 'rona)

AEW and NXT might add 100k each is my guess.

Emperor Smeat 05-25-2020 12:55 AM

Even though AEW and NXT are suffering with the decline in DVR viewers, feel they still have a good chance to get back to pre-coronavirus levels when things return to normal after a while. Mainly due to the gap needing to be closed is a lot smaller than RAW and SD and both shows are still in the tv audience building stage.

All depends on how much longer these crowd-less shows last and people feeling comfortable enough to start regularly showing up in large enough numbers to make a real difference without also risking everything going right back to square one with the virus.

Bad News Gertner 05-25-2020 09:18 AM

So it looks like Hana's cause of death was Hydrogen Sulfide which I found strange, but apparently it is/was a popular method of suicide in Japan

Raw gonna miss out on the soccer mom demo

Apparently WWE is going to start having wrestlers be the crowds for their empty arena shows starting with tonight's episode of RAW based on an internal memo that got leaked.

Unlike AEW, seems its only going to be Performance Center talent used for crowds and they won't be shown on camera.

Damian Rey 2.0 05-25-2020 06:11 PM

Should still help the vibe of the show

Noid's gonna flip his shit when they take AEW's idea :lol::lol:

Since WWE is going to surround the ring area with plexiglass to create a hockey-like setting, might as well also bring back The Goon for a new run.

WWE is really promoting an upcoming match as “the greatest wrestling match ever”. lol They’re clearly TRYING to be terrible at this point. I’m just not sure what they expect the endgame to be.

Wait for real? That's actually kinda neat.

screech 05-25-2020 10:03 PM

Also it's about time they decided to put some people out there for these shows.

Lock Jaw 05-25-2020 10:14 PM

Dunno what the point of the glass is, though.... "social distancing" the crowd from the rasslers.... but meanwhile the crowd had no "social distancing" from each other....

Emperor Smeat 05-25-2020 10:34 PM

Drew Gulak currently rumored to have signed a new deal with WWE since he's working at this week's tapings and WWE moved his profile from the Alumni to active roster section.

You ever seen a Randy Orton headlock? It's a thing of fckn beauty.

Emperor Smeat 05-25-2020 10:56 PM

According to the Observer, Matt Riddle is getting called up to the main roster very soon.

Would explain why NXT rushed both the tag title change and feud with Thatcher instead of saving their first big match or blow off for Takeover In Your House in 2 weeks.

slik 05-26-2020 12:26 AM

I can't see Riddle doing great on the main roster, I just can't picture Vince "getting him" tbh

Kanefused as to how Bianca Belair was called up and used like 3 or 4 times and then sent to Main Event and not mentioned on RAW again...should be an incredibly easy call-up via good mic skills and great ring skills...

Triple A 05-26-2020 12:47 AM

PWInsider says that Riddle is going to SmackDown unfortunately... "sigh..."

slik 05-26-2020 12:51 AM

Baron Corbin going to feud with Matt Riddle over having ugly feet probably

"Corbin is bullying Matt Riddle Corey over his feet, Matt Riddle's feet represent the feet of many members of the WWE Universe"
- Michael Cole

slik 05-26-2020 12:52 AM

Corbin knocks out Riddle and puts clown shoes on him

"Riddle has been HUMILIATED by King Corbin" (fake laughs)
- Corey Graves

Because Heyman and/or someone else in RAW Creative decided to suddenly change plans early on for the Street Profits vs. Viking Raiders feud.

Went from being a serious feud with the Raiders as this huge menacing threat and Profits needing to get their act together if they wanted to keep the belts into quickly becoming a feud that's been about both teams goofing off and playing sports games instead.

Don't need Belair around for that nor her tough stance on the Profits goofing off habits.

Matches vs Bryan, vs Gulak, vs Cesaro, vs Chad Gable (is he on SmackDown?). I could get behind that.
