Honestly I think the whole Arrowverse is about to implode. They're already losing Black Lightning and Supergirl and I haven't heard anything else on the docket to replace them. Might be time to just let it all go and figure something else out.

Superman and Lois is around, but it almost feels like it is separate because of the production style and also because why the F wouldn't Supergirl call Superman to help save the world from Lex Luthor if he exists on the same planet.

DCWverse has been dying a slow death for some time. its been hemorrhaging viewers since it got woke, several additions have failed to find an audience and with its flaggship now past tense it doesnt have a strong lead in to build a base for new would-be shows.

I think he is maybe referring to a greater number of episodes that are "preachy" on some sort of social issue instead of just being the action/sci-fi series... Supergirl probably the worst offender for it

yeah around arrow season 5 entire episodes would be about *insert political talking point* instead of being what it had been: a show about superheros. they lost me when arrow and supergirl both banned guns. one for an entire city by mayoral edict despite the protagonist being a vigilante who went into the trade because the police were incapable of protecting people and the other banned them for a top secret military agency that specifically fought world ending level allien threats.


the desire to push the showrunners political beliefs trumped the shows internal truth.


but i could make a 1000 word post just listing the activism writing the DCWverse shows go into around that time and onward.

That's why Legends of Tomorrow is the best... they just like to have fun!

DC has decided to end the Superman comic and replace it with a new series.



Action Comics will continue and will focus on Superman leaving Earth. Grant Morrison will write a 4-issue miniseries about Supes and The Authority teaming up to battle Mongul to set it up. It's rumored Superman finds another Krypton like planet and Action Comics will be based there going forward.


No clue if Bendis will acknowledge any of this in Justice League (leaning towards "No" since Bendis just tends to do whatever he wants, continuity be damned). Speaking of Bendis/Justice League, in his latest issue he revealed a new twist

the best thing they could do for the lantern series is either avoid hal entirely or have him in it an an extremely peripheral context

i loved the rebirth lantern corps series with john as the commander and guy as his right hand

if they follow that dynamic and use kyle, jess and baz in some side/recurring capacity and hal extremely sparingly if at all, then they're on the right track imo

that said it'd be great/arguably better even if they just used john and guy, probably don't need more than two human leads in a show about space cops

CW officially ordered Naomi to series..... guess it was cheaper than the Wonder Girl series they passed on.....

Naomi series will probably reveal more about Naomi, like what exactly her superpowers are, long before Bendis bothers to in the comics (and this is with him giving Naomi her own series and adding her to Young Justice and now Justice League)

While I'm enjoying his Justice League so far (knock on wood) it is so Bendis that he can't be bothered to even explain WHAT Naomi can do.

The art in her miniseries was great but it didn't need to be six issues to sum up her origin half-assed "She's from a planet where a gas caused a bunch of people to get superpowers and the planet is in ruin now so her parents sent her to Earth where she was found by a Rann and Thangarian, hiding on Earth together, who raised her as their own"

The only thing he's added so far in Justice League is that her planet is not part of the Multiverse/Omniverse and exists on it's own. What she can actually do, who knows.

I’m calling bullshit on WB being concerned. People forget that Reeves initially walked away from the project only to come back and sign on. No way he comes back without WB fully backing his idea and giving him full control over the direction the character going forward. It would make zero sense for them to suddenly change their time after filming has wrapped.

Also, Marvel sold toys for Iron Man 3 when Tony was having some heavy ptsd, which were followed with bouts of paranoia and depression up until he finally dies.

Almost every superhero character ever has mental health issues, Warner isn't going to stop selling items with Joker and Harley on it either.

I think Fables really went "downhill" after a certain point but will def check it out....

DC hinted in Batman:Urban Legends #4 Tim Drake might be gay or bi. The story arc continues for two more issues.

As a non-straight person who grew up with Tim Drake as their main Robin I can say they've hinted at Tim being bisexual more than once over the years in various comics so I'm really curious about this.

Also very curious about issue 1 of 6 of INFINITE FRONTIER that comes out next week. It's basically part 1 of a much bigger story for the DCU it's been said.

I really enjoyed some concepts Josh Williamson introduced while the writer of The Flash and now he's being given the keys to the kingdom to be the architect of the next phase of the DCU post Scott Snyder and Death Metal.

Never read anything where it was hinted that he was..

Changing the sexual preference of an established character doesn't work, because we can literally see the internal thoughts of the characters. And at no point in Robin's history was there a thought bubble that said "Huh. For some reason, looking at Conner is making my dick hard. Weird."

Tim often changes his superhero identity in the comics because he's never comfortable with who he is (Is he Robin, Red Robin, Drake, etc). There was the time he flirted with Bunker and went with him to a big Gay Pride event. Tim's gone from being sort of asexual to trying to make a relationship with Cass work, who he's still friends with but as Urban Legends says, she thinks there's something else he's not dealing with... There's been a lot of little subtle hints over the years on and off so it's not out of nowhere. Iceman in the X-Men was out of nowhere.

Also just because characters don't think things in thought bubbles doesn't mean they haven't thought them. They've never had Harley Quinn have a thought bubble wondering what plant Poision Ivy's vagina most likely smells like but it doesn't mean she didn't think about that before they began dating. In fact, I don't think Harley ever had thought bubbles about finding women attractive prior to her relationship with Ivy and I've never seen anyone find that relationship out of nowhere.
