The Man With The Golden Gun - 6/10
Would have got higher but automatically lost some points for bringing back that terrible hick cop from the last movie. Couldn't believe it and almost turned it off right then and there. Then he came back later in the movie. ██████opher Lee was cool though. |

Resident Evil-ish plot about humans become Lycans and vamps and they call it Infection.. And the only thing "new" is SPOILER: show As for Michael the Lycan boyfriend of Selene, he's here except SPOILER: show And I don't recall Selene and Michael SPOILER: show Some gores were a bit decent like putting a grenade inside the Lycan's ripped wounded stomach and BOOM!! And Selene's ability to heal one of the vamps by poking her hand inside the stomach after cutting herself. Ouch!! For some reason despite the bad acting of the SPOILER: show The ending was a bit rushed but I still enjoyed it more than the 3rd. P.S. There's brief nude scene of Kate after she broke out of the ice except only her ass viewable lying down much like Milla in Resident Evil.. The tits were covered in icy fog when she got up. lol. 7/10. |
http://static.allkpop.com/wp-content...12_white_1.jpg
aka White: Melody of the Curse. The plot is like Perfect Blue meets The Ring.. Except this time, the song "White" performed by the Pink Dolls was NOT REALLY an original pop song. It was written by a previous pop backup dancer who killed herself by drinking bleach because the other girls were bullying her and jealous because she's the leader of the pop group and is the only talented songwriter.. And I really liked the social commentary on how pop music can make celebs be so miserable and they become sell-outs once their songs are just copying each other. Ironic, cos in the movie, one of the 4 members of the Pink Dolls group keep on singing that White song which is cursed during nighttime goes insane and commits suicide in the recording studio.. The creepiest scenes are the backmasking tape records of hearing the ghostly doubled voice in the background.. Same with the music video... Yes, like I said, it's Perfect Blue meets The Ring (in the music world of course.) The part where one of the Pink Doll members tried her high pitched singing it turned into fucking terrifying scream that made her scared shitless when she saw the white haired ghost.. The white hair wig is almost like Manson's Coma White and MEchanical Animals era even though the rest of them wearing the white wigs looked like Lady Gaga clones. A bonus: The song White which is supposed to be "cursed" in the movie is THE ONLY SOUNDTRACK on this.. Give it a listen if you won't see a dead white haired dancer standing next to you humming the lyrics. And catchy too!!! Another extra creepier shit bonus is that one of the lyrics when you try backmasking it, says "It's hot here in my heart. Can you see me? I'm here behind you." That happened in the movie too!! O____O. 8/10 |
Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy - 40
Bad directing and editing made it difficult to follow |
Priest - 3.5 out of 5
The movie itself was a bit boring and slow but got a lot better near the end. Not sure how related this film and Legion are considering both had the same main actor and almost the same style but liked Legion a lot more. |
Quote:
Tabloid - Documentary by Errol Morris about a beauty queen who was charged with kidnapping and raping some mormon dude she was obsessed with and how she became a tabloid sensation. Morris has a knack for finding crazy ass people and using their messed up stories to explore more complex ideas, like the haziness of truth. 7/10 Gates of Heaven - Another Morris documentary, this was about the owners of a pet cemetery and the people who have their pets buried there. 7/10 A Dangerous Method - Fassbender and Viggo were amazing, movie was kinda meh. It's exploration of psychoanalysis and the sophisticated conversations/feud between Freud and Jung was interesting but Keira Knightly wasn't all that convincing and as a movie it felt a little "undercooked". |
Real Steel - 45
God I was really looking forward to this too because I love a good boxing story. I set the bar so low before watching it and it couldn't beat that. The scenes where there was no robot boxing and explaining the characters motivations dragged on way too long. That kid is an awful actor and almost ruined the movie. Hugh Jackman's accent kept changing every 20 mins. I'm still a little confused as to whether or not he phoned it in or put on one of his best performances. I haven't decided. Kate  |
Resident Evil Afterlife - 2 out of 5
Hate the 3rd one more than this one in the series although this one really went overboard with the slow motion scenes. The entire fight against the Executioner character was almost done in entirely slow motion. |
Crank - 8/10
Watching it after 6 years and still love it. Hate the second movie. |
The 2nd one ruled also Dave.
Killer Elite: 7/10 Not bad but not great either. At least Owen and Statham fight in one scene. |
Statham humping Chester was the highlight of the movie.
|
Megamind - 8/10
Great voice cast and I'm a sucker for CGI animated films. |
Paradise Lost 1, 2, and 3 - 9/10
Really good trilogy of documentaries. Highly recommend it. The story is fascinating. |
Tucker & Dale vs. Evil - 7/10
Love, Sex aur Dhoka - 6/10 |
http://cdn.wearemoviegeeks.com/wp-co...-poster-03.jpg
Ultra cheesiness on the same level as Skyline.. Except it's in Russia and the electrical aliens are invisible. they're not much to look at either. SPOILER: show I don't know.. The ending just screams for another sequel like Skyline. Although it had a few funny moments like the Russian fat-ass inventor singing to his fat cat. :p 6/10. |
The Lincoln Lawyer - 6/10
The Seven Year Itch - 5/10 Hidalgo - 7/10 |
Haywire - 76
Another Earth - 69 |
The Help 9/10
really a fantastic movie and I loved it |
http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WIcMdxzjTh...ers-poster.jpg
6/10. Not much plot to offer about a dead mid-century woman who's out to avenge for her ex-lovers in a hotel. The only other clue you'll get besides the decent boo moments like piano playing by itself and the usual banging and clanging of objects is SPOILER: show And, the ending, I didn't expect the heroine chick Sara Paxton (who does resemble and talk like Reese Witherspoon) SPOILER: show The unintentional boo moments end up in a brief giggles humor attempt like the annoying Innkeeper Luke who loves to play scary stuff on her. I liked the credits sequence that made it feel like I'm watching a black/white horror old school. Esp. the chapters 1, 2 and epilogue flashscreens. Fairly decent but not great for a late-night scared shitless mood. And the director of this is the same guy responsible for my 2009 fave, "House of the Devil." |
http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-r8-4gcmXyj...gue_rivers.jpg
I spit on your grave redux with a "twisted" plot. Except replace the gas station pervert rapists guys to a lovely married couple... Bill Moseley aka Otis Driftwood of Zombie's Firefly family is the scene stealer in this.. And a bonus: Everclear's frontman Art is in this one except he plays a random victim guy.. The twist of the movie. SPOILER: show Another sickening display aside from rape, kidnap, torture stuff with hot water on her mouth, is of course, SPOILER: show I think the motive of their killing spree is to kidnap SPOILER: show Even if it's illogical, I liked it. Although the ending almost made burst into tears SPOILER: show And another sad thing is that, SPOILER: show Another mindfuckery final scene is that the heroine chick SPOILER: show Other than that, I liked the intense suspense scenes reminiscent of Spit on your Grave references anyhow. And Bill Moseley still makes a creepy pedo villain in this one aside from Otis Driftwood.. The trailer even does it justice: Watchable movie. 8/10. |
The Man With The Golden Gun - 7/10
Christopher Lee could have killed Bond THREE FUCKING TIMES in this movie but failed to do so. Stereotypical Bond move......he could have shot him when he arrived at the island, when they were having lunch, AND COULD HAVE TURNED AROUND AND SHOT HIM WHEN THEY WERE ABOUT TO DUEL! What the fuck? Seriously? Are Bond bad guys really that stupid? They don't want Bond dead! They just want to lose because they don't like winning. Patriot Games - I lost interest in this. 2/10 |
Patriot Games is Tom Clancy material. How could you not like it?
|
The Change-Up
7/10 Would've preferred to see a little bit more of Reynolds playing his Reynolds character. But still good to see Bateman rocking a Reynolds role |
Tower Heist
6/10 Decent movie but a Stiller movie. Expected more from Eddie Murphey but it was nice to see a good supporting cast. |
In Time
9/10 I loved it. Really good on Timberlake's part. Points for Johnny Galecki. Good story. High rewatch value |
Back to the Future (all of them) - 90
Downloaded the blu ray rips a few months ago but never got around to watching them until just now. What a great franchise. Kind of mad I was deprived of this during my childhood. |
Haywire - 4.5/5
Short, sweet, another good job by Soderbergh. If you know his work, you know what you're getting into. The guy got a knack taking a sorta kinda nobody and turning him/her into a star. Ms. Carano held her own in this. |
http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-54cH8RUbzK...tch-Online.jpg
aka The Pack. French's version of Wrong Turn meets The Descent cos of the creatures that hide underground yet they rise up like zombies and walk like them too. But in this one, they wear black jumpsuits.. They only come up from the ground when there's lots of blood spilling all over the place just like sharks would do in the water even if the humans are bleeding to death with huge amounts of blood loss. There's a bit of dirty humor like in Dumb and Dumber. There's one scene where some asshole biker insults the heroine chick, and spits on her coffee drink and SHE FUCKING DRANK IT ALL WITH THE SPIT. Almost had me laughing and spitting out my glass water on that one. Ewww. Anywho, there's also a reference to High Tension. Why? Well, there's a brief cameo by the old guy who plays the razorblade Killer in High Tension and there's even that dirty heap truck in the movie. Same one used by the killer as well. Except he rides a bike on this one. While the truck is driven by someone else. I NEVER really get the ending. SPOILER: show I dunno. But still, I liked it.. Go see it and skip to the ending and figure out yourself of how that happened anyway. 7/10. |
The Grey: 9.5/10. Maybe 10/10.

Limitless - 7.5/10

The Grey - 70

The Encounter (with Steve Borden) - 5/10

James Dean the biopic starring James Franco - 7/10 I thought Franco does a fantastic job as James Dean and really immersed himself in the role I felt like alot of stuff was glossed over but overall they did a good job for a made for tv movie |
Girl With the Dragon Tattoo remake was ok.. Inferior to the original still, Rooney is fairly decent as Lisbeth. I almost fell asleep too cos of the draggy talkie about the whereabouts of Harriet. The intro of the movie almost felt like a darker version of James Bond.
I find it rare for a remake having a oscar best actress nomination for Rooney Mara. 7/10. |
Real Steel - 9/10
Very surprised by this. My expectations were extremely low. I thought it was just going to be some stupid movie where Hollywood has lots of money and they're just gonna blow it....like Transformers. But I was very surprised at lots of things, including the ending. |
Ferris Bueller's Day Off - 8/10
The Freshman - 9/10 |
http://bestmoviesevernews.com/wp-con...vie-Poster.jpg
9/10. Just came back seeing this. And yeah, it was good.. I feel bad for Andrew though. :( He was behaving much like Anakin Skywalker betraying his mentor and friend. :( I love the concept of Andrew's uncontrolled powers when Matt SPOILER: show I love the sky flying style in the 1st person cam view.. It was more exhilirating than a 3-D movie. It looks like extension TV movie of Heroes. Was good. Andrew is like Anakin Skywalker in this. Love it. |
What's Your Number? -7.5/10
Anna Faris may be the best combination of sexy/funny around. |
Drive - 8/10
really great movie I liked it Ryan Gosling does a pretty god job in this |
Descendants 7/10
Albert Nobbs 0/10 painful |
Alfred Hitchcock's Rope - 9/10
just an amazing classic movie of his and I loved it James Stewart in particular is great in it |
Killer Elite - 60
Didn't turn into a decent movie until about halfway into it. Some awful dialogue. |
Drive - 65
|
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas - 8/10
Hobo With A Shotgun - 0/10 The dialogue in this movie is terrible. So many terrible one liners. Hopefully John Davies (the writer) will grow up someday. "We'll go somewhere where they'll have nice big lawns to mow. This isn't the only place grass can grow." Unintentional poetry! "WOOOO! It's a perfect day for a SKATE RAPE" The "Do you fucking SEE ME" line would have been better if he did the John Cena wave. "TURN THAT WHORE INTO A BABY FACTORY! HEHEHEH!" "I'm gonna wash this blood off......with your blood!" THAT DOESN"T EVEN MAKE SENSE! It's like saying "I'm gonna wash this dirt off my hand....with dirt. There was a nice camera move 50 minutes into the movie. The camera moved, not cut, back and forth between Abi and The Hobo in the kitchen. I love that shot. I wasn't expecting a masterpiece of cinema or anything. John Davies and Jason Eisner should team up again and do a serious romance movie or maybe they should write the next Batman movie. I'm sure they would do great!!! I love sarcasm. |
The Woman In Black: 7/10. A very straightforward, creepy, atmospheric horror film. No gore or unnecessary twist endings. I can appreciate that.
|
Rise and Fall of WCW (documentary only) - 4 out of 5
Didn't know the idea of guaranteed contracts occurred way before the Bischoff era and actually started around when Dusty became the booker of NWA-WCW (early Turner owned years). Always thought it started around the time of Bischoff's initial control or at least when Hogan joined. |
Drive 8/10
|
The Descendants - 40
Why is George Clooney nominated for anything for this? Felt like he really phoned it in. |
and overall its just a shitty story
|
50/50 - 8.5/10
|
Blow - 6/10
I felt this coulda been way better it was pretty laughable at having Ray Liotta and Rachel Griffiths as Johnny Depp's parents in this as they can't be much older then him especially Rachel I liked Paul Reubens in this |
Chronicle - 88
Pretty great. Didn't agree with some of the pacing of it and a few times the special effects could have looked better but it was fun. |
Finished watching The Grey.. The final scene after end credits was cut out. Stupid move. Good movie though.
Cos there was supposed to be an extra post credits scene after SPOILER: show 8/10.. |
Dirty Dancing - 6.5/10
Girlfriend's favourite film, I offered to suffer through it for her birthday. Fell asleep for a small portion towards the end but managed to wake up just in time for "Nobody puts Baby in the corner". |

Cadillac Records - 8/10

A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas - 5/10

Training Day 8/10

Immortals: 5/10 - Uninspired. I really only watched it because I'd never seen anything with Henry Cavill before, and I wanted to see if he's going to make a good Superman or not. Judging from his performance here and his overall look, I think he'll kill as Superman.
Drive: 8/10 - Fantastic. The movie had a very unique feel that carried all the way through, and I very much enjoyed the car chase sequences. My only complaints are what I found to be a waste of Bryan Cranston in his very small part, and the lack of any real depth to the villain characters. They just felt like target practice for the Driver, and at no point did I feel that they were any threat to him whatsoever. The Switch: 7/10 - Jason Bateman getting to play a foul-mouthed jerk off made my day. Pretty basic "Freaky Friday" plot where two opposite characters switch bodies and then learn lessons about how they're terrible people so that they can switch back and make their lives better, but it was fun nonetheless. Moneyball: 8/10 - I hate Brad Pitt, but since I felt he was actually trying here, and I found the overall story very interesting, I enjoyed this film immensely. Jonah Hill is great here as well and proves that he's not just that foul mouthed fat kid from "Superbad." Maybe he'll have a real acting career ahead of him after all and will be the HBK to Michael Cera's Jannetty. |

North by Northwest - 9/10
Thelma and Louise - 7/10 |
Downloaded a bunch of "3D Movies" a long time ago but never got around to watching them until recently. They're only 40ish minutes long so it's hard to rate them but here goes:
IMAX: The Ultimate Wave: Tahiti 3D - GOOD About surfing mostly and Tahiti in general. Good visuals and girls in bikinis. IMAX: Galapagos 3D - POOR A marine biologist explores the Galapagos islands where Darwin left off. She doesn't seem very smart for a scientist. Upon being interviewed about sharks she said her main reaction upon seeing one is "fear". Well no shit. Also when they traveled to the ocean floor where no one has ever been to collect animals no one has ever seen, she touches them with her bare hands when they get back on the boat. Also some weird technical issues which made the 3D look bad at some points. IMAX: Grand Canyon Adventure 3D - STRANGE The title says "Grand Canyon Adventure" but it's mostly about how we as a species are destroying the environment, mostly, the Colorado River. Very little time spent focusing on the Grand Canyon and mostly on how to preserve water. Robert Redford narrates the doom and gloom tone of humans destroying the environment while Dave Mathews provides the music. No joke. Dave Mathews songs throughout the entire thing. And then a surprise cameo from Robert Kennedy Jr. and his daughter about halfway through the film. This whole thing was really odd to sit through. IMAX: Ultimate G's: Zac's Flying Dream 3D - INCREDIBLE A young Michael Cera plays Zac who enjoys flying things and himself. Incredible dialogue, wonderful story, and superb acting. Micheal Cera even gives several of what will eventually become his trademark giggles after he finishes a line. The film does turn dark a few times, once with Zac's mother fearing he is suicidal. We never hear or see her for the rest of the film so it's safe to assume his suicidal tendencies were genetic and his mother offed herself. Also the flying scene between Zac and his girlfriend was clearly symbolism for sexual foreplay which eventually lead to coitus and them orgasming at the same time by shooting their smoke trails while piloting in the air. Zac was almost foiled by his childhood arch nemesis when he stuck chewing gum on Zac's laser targeting system but you just gotta see for yourself. Great film. IMAX: Hubble 3D - GREAT Pretty great. Leo narrates. You see the universe. In 3D. |
I have a bunch of those downloaded I need to get around to.
|
Those 5 are the only ones I bothered downloading. Actually I have Drive Angry which I'll watch tonight probably. And Avatar which I don't think I'll get rid of.
|
Actually I didn't even need to download them since I can stream them my 3D App. And some other crap that looks neat. Pyramids and Niagara Falls. To be continued...
|
Drive Angry in 3D - 27
This is a very bad movie with lackluster effects |
Chicago: 8.5/10
|
The Fast and the Furious - 99
Actually saw this when it was out but downloaded it anyway and watched it again to refresh my memory. Except I watched it at 3X the speed and it was amazing to make up their lines for them. I might watch the rest of these movies at 3X too, we'll see. |
2 Fast 2 Furious - 78
Watched it in 2X speed which I believe is the perfect speed and the only way to get through these movies. Tokyo Drift up next. |
The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift - 62
Watched at 2X speed again. Not great. Apparently it is chronologically the last of the The Fast and the Furious franchise films. hmmm |
For a proper rating of these films, divide them by 2 I guess
|
http://www.onlinemovieshut.com/wp-co...ire-poster.jpg
Soundtrack of the whole movie sounded like 70's grindhouse (Something Robert Rodriguez could only dream making it) with a bit of jazz during action scenes. I love how throughout the movie everytime she has a partner agent, she gets kicked the shit out of her first then fights back MMA-Wrestling style combos... Considering Gina's an accomplished undefeated MMA fighter.. Even though I haven't seen her on TV in action. 6/10. |
4 Fast 4 Fourious - 80 I guess
I have to take a break, watching these at 2X speed make all of them blend in with each other. Didn't think they would kill off Ana Lucia like that especially since I saw that she's in the next one and the upcoming films. Speaking of the next one, I think I might watch it at normal speed. But that will be tomorrow. |
Birth of a Nation - C+
A hard to follow silent film, very long, extremely racist and inaccurate, kind of unintentionally funny. |
Just watched some film w/ Daniel Craig as a retard, pretty good, forgot wat it was called though
7/10 |

nah, just in like a newspaper photo/story about her dying I think and references to her etc
|
and yeah, you should watch Fast Five in "real time", it's really quite good, stupid amounts better than the 4 previous films
|
and keep watching during the end credits, "bonus Rock scene" that I nearly missed when watching it
|
The Woman In Black - 6.5/10
Performances were all fine, good atmosphere for the most part, but a lot of little things add up to bug me. Unsatisfying. |
Fast Five - 80
Very good. Very crazy heist scene. I bet a lot of innocent civilians died walking on the sidewalk that day. Here's to them. Lots of The Rock's sweat drenched this entire film also. Bonus scene was Eva Mendes revealing to The Rock that Ana Lucia is a ghost. Next one should be good then as long as they include ghost cars. |
Midnight in Paris - 90
|
Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. More of a comedic spoof than a serious superhero flick.
"How do you pee when you're all on fire?" "It's like a flamethrower!!" LOL. 6/10. |
Safe House - 7/10
Denzel Washington was.....doing hand to hand combat, shooting guns, and jumping from rooftop to rooftop. He was not putting an acting clinic and not getting your attention with his acting abilities like he usually does. He's soft spoken in this and only speaks for about 15 minutes. |
Columbiana - 38
|
Tower Heist - 7/10
|
Warrior - 8/10
Kurt Angle as Fedor and every sports movie cliche they could think of, but still really good overall. |
This Means War - 8/10
A lot better than I expected for a chick flick. |
In Time - 48
A lot of awful time puns, bad dialogue in general, and poor acting from some pretty neat actors. What a let down. I love the concept of this but it was a let down in the end. |
Safe House-6/10. Just Denzel being Denzel, which is enjoyable enough. But the rest of the characters and the plot left me cold.
|
Rise of the Planet of the Apes - 88

Real Steel - 8/10
