Somehow WWE still treats their affiliated promotions in the UK and Europe worse than those they consider to be their enemy.

Only reason wXw didn't bother to initially book any AEW or NJPW affiliated talent for this year's Carat of Gold tournament was due to WWE promising them WWE/NXT talent if they didn't. Then WWE decides to just break their promise afterwards.

Rumors abounding that WWE is desperately trying to create an alliance or outright buy CMLL, which with he recent change in ownership, could be possible though I would think an alliance more likely. At this point, WWE probably should just call off this year's Axxess since the city and/or state officials are likely going to force their hand over it.

NBA being public recently about the idea of playing games with no fans and this year's SXSW concert getting cancelled at the last minute isn't helping WWE's case for Mania week.

WWE sending out that statement of them being unwilling to change their Mania plans was such a huge blunder on their part.

Seems WWE caused another problem for their UK and European affiliates this weekend.

This time it involved them pressuring wXw to not book a certain indie star (David Starr) anymore due to not liking the guy and his outspokenness in recent months towards the industry and WWE.

Also it turns out WWE decided to help out wXw after screwing them out of Lio Rush by having one of their NXT UK guys (Alexander Wolfe) win wXw's midcard title outta nowhere. The reception online to that wasn't as positive as WWE and wXw probably had hoped.

Rumor going around the net is WWE is considering holding Mania 36 at either the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida or at Madison Square Garden if they can't hold it at Raymond James Stadium or in Florida.

I'd be so surprised if they cancelled bc of all the $$$ they'll get from hosting Mania.

If they DID cancel -- my guess is Mania would take place at the stadium without a crowd, the arena raw/sd are in, minus a crowd or at the performance center using wrestlers as the audience.

I'd also assume all the other pro wrestling outfits that are congregating down in Tampa for various shows during 'Mania weekend would also cancel.

Mania at the PC would be a surreal thing to witness.

The rumor mentioning MSG as an option pretty much would be WWE replacing their upcoming house show at the venue with Mania's card instead. Only problem is the MSG show is on March 22nd so that leaves very little time left for WWE to finish the Mania build.
