Rybaxel was a horrible idea. Natural heel Axel teaming with a natural baby face in Ryback. But WM32 headlined by Brock/Axel sounds great.

People talking shit about Rybaxel.

Even that might be better than what they actually did.

For once they were successful in building a prototypical Vince "big man" type up to the point where even smark crowds were rabid for him. They had everything they've tried so hard to create with Reigns in the palm of their hands... So naturally they jobbed him out, fed him to Mark Henry at WrestleMania and turned him heel.

lolWWE

As of fan of Axel, I hated the pairing. Ryback should have stayed far away from that storyline and not become a Heyman guy.

Man, I remember you being so into Ryback, and me being like "meh" at the time, and he grew on me over time that I'm like retroactively mad now lol

It was pretty ridiculous. Most of the time when someone is getting over and they get de-pushed they AT LEAST have the "he's not our idea of a star" excuse. They didn't even have that. They took a guy who fit their mold, pushed him as a beast, it worked and they said "Cool, but nah."

Wanna go back and watch that video of him finally getting his hands on Punk again. It was like stepping into a time machine back to the 90s when live crowds were actually into it.

TNA and Pop TV had been pushing 1/5 as the debut of the show, built around the final four in the world title tournament. It was only in the past week when the announcement was made that it would debut with taped programming last night in its new Tuesday at 9 p.m. slot..

The audience was barely half of the "Days of our Lives" show that did 211,000 viewers.

While the lack of publicity and fact it wasn't a new episode means the number really can't be taken as a strong sign of where they will end up, it is a number that points to where the TNA base audience is at this point. Between the change of network and change of day, and TNA, with the exception of the move from late Saturday to Thursday prime time, has always taken a hit when changing days, it took take some time before TNA gets to where it will probably be.

However, the idea that they will get back to Spike levels, which Pop TV execs spoke of, doesn't seem likely.

On one hand it was a "Best Of" show while on the other hand, TNA's core has been shrinking by a lot during the past year. Also the Days of Out Lives show was the lead-in to Impact for some reference.

Supposedly ROH went really low with their initial offer to ReDRagon which is why they refused to sign a new deal. Rumors of TNA and WWE being interested ended up being debunked for the moment.

Some other sheet news includes:

  • Newest episode of Botchamania was recently released. http://botchamania.com/botchamania-296/

First live show on 1/5? FUCK IT. LET'S HAVE A PPV THREE DAYS LATER ON A FRIDAY.

If this wasn't TNA, there would be no way I could believe this was possible.

Find it hard to believe Slater was #8 in the superstar of the year voting.

I think that whole interview was a joke which was why it got pulled.

WWE reuploaded the Heath Slater interview with Cole. Turns out he ended up 8th in the Superstar of the Year voting. Even the WWE was shocked which is probably why they didn't bother to put him in the special spotlight part of the Slammy video.

Damn, genuinely thought that was gonna be a serious, shoot-style interview with Slater commenting on his status as #8, but how silly of me to think it wouldn't have be overflowing with scripted WWE unfunny nonsense.
