Is this like Dynasty Warriors or Hyrule Warriors or any other warrior game? I those types of games. |
Dynasty Warriors.
But. It's back to the way it should be after several experiments with previous games failed............badly. |
I've somehow gotten back into Pokémon Ultra Moon on my 3DS. I charged it up a couple weeks ago in anticipation of Hurricane Henri.
Team's running a tad over leveled but that's okay. |
biut to wrap up scarlett nexus. after that im gonna give baldo a try
|
Lately I found drift hunters pretty cool..
|
Tales of Arise. This is the Tales game I've been waiting on since Vesperia.
|
Jumped back into Fallout 76. God damn it's in a real good place right now.
|
I'm glad somebody here enjoys it. I don't, but still.
|
I'm playing The Witcher 3 on PS4 now. I originally bought it for the Switch but felt like i wasnt getting the experience that I would get on PS4. And i was right. This game is amazing. I"m literally still in the starting area. I'm watching videos about lower level armor and i'm about to get a set of Griffon Armor. I just got a Moonblade.
The game has had some hilarious moments. And the story is slow, but building and fantastic. I was some hot witch tits and some rabbits fucking. I have a feeling i'm gonna be pumping a couple hundred hours in this game. I'm in no hurry to progress through the mainline quest even though it's great so far. |
wheni played it it was the only game i played that entire year. so dense.
|
with complete ease its the best game of its gen
|
Witcher 3 is easily top 5 all time game for me. Best open world RPG ever made as far as I'm concerned.
|
other than morriwnd i cant think of anything id even be willing to offer to be in its league and it still loses handily

You should play Tales of Arise.
|

|
because baldo is sadly a dud
|
giving MHS2 a go just for diversity. didnt want to go from an ARPG to another ARPG. Arise is def on the docket tho

Neg reps are given to bad posts. Triggered has nothing to do with it.. Honestly, your post probably warranted it. If you have a point to make, then make it.
If you just disagree with something without discussing it in a place that's meant for discussion, well that's just annoying. |
Yeah, you and I both know it wasn't warranted but nice try. Anywho, time to move on.
Also, it's pointless trying to discuss anything with Destor for me personally because no matter what, he'll never agree with anything I say. I could literally say grass is green, and he'd try to prove me wrong. I don't know what his issue is with me, but that's the way it is, so let's not pretend otherwise. |

I'm kinda cheating, but i realize how big of a world The Witcher 3 is.
I watched a video about killing cows and how CD Project Red nerfed it some that if you killed cows to farm them, A massive boss mob comes and murders you LOL. I love this shit! |
Tales of Arise just went in dry on me. Fighting some enemies just above my level on one screen only to get mobbed by a group 35 levels above me on the next.
|
Kena: Bridge of Spirits and Diablo 2 locked and pre-loaded on the PS5 for Tuesday. Lost Judgement coming at the end of the week.
About to get very busy. |
playing tales of arise. really digging it
|
Still playing Hades. Still awesome.. On like my 54th run and I'm still only at the tip of the iceberg in terms of completion.

Running through Hitman 2 (PS4)

Played the fook outta the demo, but combat got boring after a while. It's cool and fun for a bit tho. Quote:
Ugh, cancelled my Diablo II pre-order because it just doesn't play well on console. I can appreciate the inventory system, but it's shit on console. Period. And I played this game daily, for over a decade. Made a ton of IRL Money off ebaying shit, etc. Quote:
Man, it does feel kinda fun, but the repetitiveness gets me :( Still have it installed to give it a go again sometime.... but yeah. Probably because I have only 1-2 hours of game time, if I'm lucky. |
Roguelites are repetitive in nature, but I dunno, hades might be better than all of them at gradually adding just a bit more as you progress. The pacing of it is fantastic. How far did you get in it?
|
I dunno. Think I played it for 30 mins or something..... def not long enough at all.
I know 100% I don't even have "everything" unlocked, or whatever. |
Yeah, the gameplay seemed a bit repetitive on first impression, but it very quickly opens up to where you can use wildly different builds on every run. There's actually 6 different weapons you unlock early on, and they each have their own upgrades. So you're not just mashing with that sword you start out with.
|
I've tried out a bunch of games on series x, and they all look great, but my god Destiny is breathtaking. It might be the best looking game for the system right now. So I'm playing the shit out of that.
|
Don't forget to maximize your field of view slider under options on Series X.
|
Series X is pretty gangster so far.
|
member to check the compatibility options under each game to see if you can FPS boost it and stuff.
|
Got through the Hitman 2 main story, now doing the escalations.
|
Finally went back to Assassins Creed Valhalla to play the 2 DLCs to scratch my yearly AC itch. Already finished the Ireland/Druid DLC. It was ok but nothing wild/cool like Origins and Odyssey outside of a couple things, particularly the optional "secret boss" fight. Have jumped into the Paris content now and it seems very meh, kinda lame compared even to the Druid content. It's just standard AC fare, which normally isn't bad to me but this is on the low end of the pecking order tbh. It's neat seeing Paris way earlier than it's other iteration in the series, but that also makes it small and thus not as engaging as the typical city AC games of old. Still having a decent time, but just feels like I've been here and done this before and it was better the first time around.
In all honesty this is the weakest AC DLC offering in a long time. But I'm just playing it to pass the time until Thursday when I will be shifting my focus to Far Cry 6. |
haven't touched Valhalla yet...maybe one day. its the only one in the series ive not played
|
For what it's worth I feel as though a lot of my lack of enthusiasm for the current content is due to the weapon combination I'm using. Combining the Gungnir spear from the main Valhalla campaign with the Gae Bolg spear acquired from beating the secret boss in Ireland basically enables God mode. It doesn't matter what I fight or how strong it is, how overwhelmed by numbers I am or anything; equip those 2 spears and spam attack and nothing can ever stop you. I fought the last boss of the Ireland campaign with them and said boss couldn't even move, let alone attack me. It's cheap. I should probably have switched off of the set up but it's just so cool to look at. I dunno, def sapped the fun but also making it easy to blaze through the story and get it over with.
|
Quote:
Edit: If you are ever looking for a time sink though, Valhalla is a winner. I think the main game and the couple free dlcs that dropped after release ate up 120-130hrs for me to do my usual completionist run. |
noted. itll be a month or so before im done with Arise and even after that there's a lot in my backlog thats screaming at me but i like the series so eventually ill give it a go
|
Wow I really need Far Cry 6 to get here now....it has a fully fleshed out Tekken style fighting game in it as one of the minigames....and it's cockfighting. You pick your bird from like a roster of 30 different chickens and then get down to fighting. Amazing.
|
Battlefield 2042 open beta starts today bitches!
|
Recently really upped my game in BF V. I'm no god or anything by any means, but my KD has stayed at a better spot. I always PTFO, but still get merced left and right at times. I've slowed down, A LOT, which seems to be very key. Gotta shake those years of CoD outta mah veins.
|
Dipped back into Nier: Automata. Never finished it for a few reasons, couldn't remember shit so I started over.
Left off at the top of the castle in the Forest area. I'm reeeeeeeeally looking forward to what music comes next. The music in this game is absolutely incredible. Like, hearing the music in the castle, when it turned to side-scrolling and I'm just slashing through robot after robot made it feel epic. The Amusement Park song, it's just great. I can already tell I will want to get Replicant. |
Both Nier games are absolutely amazing. They tell great stories.
Far Cry 6 was starting to get me a little worried. I was way outranking every area on the map and wasn't seeing any of those areas levelling up like was said. Well I finally hit a couple points that bumped up the threat level of all the areas. Still overlevelled for some of the easier areas but there are multiple places back in line with my current rank. Very glad that this checked out, was worried the game would get too easy as I can already see I will be max rank well ahead of the end due to my ocd making me complete everything in any given area before I move on. |
First ending done. Holy shit did that escalate quickly :O
Started the first replay and started off playing some lil robot.... so already a bit different. Good stuff. Staying away from media on it since I've not read on it before and the story is very interesting. Don't wanna spoil anything. It's just VERY fun and satisfying to play; the controls are so damn fluid. |
Yeah, it's Platinum, so controls are going to be crazy good.
|
haha I remember actually enjoying it so much that I got every single ending. All 27 of them.
|
I'm about 65 % through Resident Evil 4. I love it but. I'm not too excited about dragging Ashley with me. But I've had a good time. I just killed the 2 claw guys which took me about 6 tries. I'm terrible at managing ammo. I would probably have more if I knew enough to shoot the legs and finish with my knife.
The controls are wonky as fuck and i'm playing on PS4, but it hasnt ruined my experience at all. P.S. I carried a missile launcher thinking I would come across ammo. I had no idea that it was a buy/ use, situation. I just realized that on my last save lol. I could have been blowing fuckers up this whole time. |
Of all the escort bullshit in video games, Ashley is probably the best executed. Thought I would hate it, but I really enjoyed how they utilized her.
|
Quote:
I had heard people complaining about her and the escort stuff, but the " wait here/ follow me " ability was clearly built in to be utilized and i realized that after the 2nd El Gigante fight. If you know how to position her. It's not so much an issue. I think early in the game, after I found her, I put her in the top of a tower and then went back down and killed a bunch of dudes and she was screaming " LEON! LEON??? " . LOL She's a variable in which the game gives you a mechanic to manage her. I actually love it. It's a pain, but I love it. And she's needed in some rooms and puzzles. I guess i was shocked to see the hatred for her when i watched some review videos. |
I think most of the hate comes from her personality, as she's not very likeable. Acts like a whiney bitch towards a guy who is literally saving her from an apocalyptic nightmare.
|
Quote:
Ya that's true. I've come across some videos hoping for a remaster and I dont think this needs to be remastered. |
Only thing that can be remastered is the controls but honestly, the controls kinda add interest into the game. It makes me rethink my strats a bit.
I saw they made this into a VR game and it looked great, but i dont have much interest in VR. |
I'd be okay with a remaster, but a full on remake would be redundant, as the game isn't that dated as it is.
|
Quote:
From what i've seen on Youtube, people want a RE2 type remake. I dont get that. I dont think that should happen. |
Quote:
This is going to be me. The way the story has shifted already, with the inclusion of a couple "gold" bots running around talking about how I killed their brother..... yeah, I'm hooked. Accidentally got an ending by going the wrong way with 9S. Said that he abandoned all curiosity about machines, abandoned a mission and was never heard from again xD That's what happened in my first 15 mins on my first new game +. |

Playing Back 4 Blood with Heisenberg and friends. It's Left 4 Dead with some added mechanics like character specific bonuses, perk cards, and a loot system. It's a fun time.
|
That finished downloading this morning, going in blind outside of the shit that's been force fed from Gamepass feeds.
Haven't played Left 4 Dead either. Just saw zombies and pew pews and rpg stuff and figured it'd be a fun time killer |
FYI, just like Left 4 Dead, it gets repetitive pretty quick when playing solo. It's best played with friends.

lol found an awesome call back to Far Cry 5 within 6. Seems Joseph Seed has at least one follower in Yara and she's growing bliss flowers.
|
Yeah there's lots of cool Easter eggs. I found a message from DEADSEC.
|
Finished up Kena: Bridge of Spirits. Excellent game. Don't let the animation or gameplay fool you. IT'S NOT FOR KIDS! Swing back around another time since I hear master spirit guide mode is the equivalent to Hell Mode in some video games.
Moving on to Diablo 2. Let's see how this goes. If it doesn't hook me, Lost Judgement is next up. |
Metroid Dread. I get super into it and then I get lost and spend an hour trying to figure out where to go. Kills the vibe.
|
yeah im not crazy about meteoidvanias. mazes irk me. that said the movement looks so smooth in dread ill give it a go. i love action performers so hopefully it balances out
|
The mazes are simple. Its the 20 minutes looking at the map trying to figure out where you use your new ability to continue playing the game. I also may be really bad at navigating the map.
It balances out. Dread is an amazing game. Its a minor irk in a game I love playing. |
Just started the 3rd playthrough of Nier and oh my fooking gerd...... just when I thought the story couldn't be better, they fucking do it!
Even more so that the 3rd playthrough starts AFTER the Eve fight where you play as 9S. I got all the extra documents from the factory and the Commander gave me the confidential info about the YorHa project and the Council of Humanity, fook me! If the actual truth comes to be what I think is being implied, this may be one of my favorite games of all time, if not my new #1. |
It really is excellent isn't it?
Do you have the edition with the DLC? The final ending is locked behind that content just so you know and you will prob have to grind a bit towards the end to tackle a couple of the challenges presented. Worth it though. |
All this is reminding me that I really hope they release a third game in the Nier Universe, and no not the mobile game because that doesn't count.
|
I assume so. It is called "Become As Gods Edition".
Right now, I just learned that there's a virus from somewhere that infected all the remaining yorha units, commander included. I had to save and get back to work, but I left off as 2B with a system corruption meter building, and no fucking idea where to go, but I'll find out. Just when I think the game is ending. it keeps on going! Excited for post-work gaming time. |
Fuck.
ABC (and some other random endings). But I just learned the truth about YoRHa and finished the game with A2. Unlocked debug and chapter select, so I'll go back and get ending D with 9S. Crazy fucking story man, and I know solely based on my experience so far, that endings D and (maybe) E will change even more stuff. This story has been so damn amazing, emotional, and just... god damn man. |
Well god damn......
If that wasn't some next level shit right there........ This game is a masterpiece. The story, the everything. Listening to the soundtrack on Spotify while working today. INSTANTLY brings up all the feels from the game. That's how I know this shit is good man. Become As Gods. Glory to Mankind. |
I don't know if I even want to play Replicant now. I don't even want to go back to Automata...... just let it rest where it is....
|
SEPH!!!
I have such a fucking void to fill now, but dunno how. I think this has taken the top spot in my favorite game of all time. Playing anything else feels trivial, but I can't help but put the overall story in other games. Any shooter for example..... is "my character" just being "re-created" for each "respawn". Is this how humans work? WTF. Just..... yeah. |
I feel you man. It really makes you think. One of the deepest stories of any medium ever.
It's also up there in my top games of all time, but not my #1. I doubt anything will ever come close to knocking Chrono Trigger off that pedestal for me. Now if you need something that won't feel trivial to grab your attention then go for Persona 5 Royal if you haven't already. That's another one I rank very highly. Could use it to give yourself a break before Replicant. OG Nier isn't as good as Automata, but it's still a great experience (I didn't play the Replicant rerelease yet, but will at some point). |
I destroyed far cry 6, becoming the God of headshots along the way.
Outriders finally dropped for Gamespass on PC so I'm giving it a shot. Gonna see how far I can get solo first, which is apparently a lot harder in this game, and I can see why. Battles get fast and furious in a hurry. Seems pretty fun so far though. Kinda gears-esque. Faster paced though. The setting is interesting and I already find myself very interested in the lore of this game. And damn is it pretty when you can crank up all the bells and whistles to maximum. Running locked 60 fps @native 4k with everything on ultra. Doesn't seem to phase my PC at all even when running with no overclocking, which is awesome. Load times are 1-2 seconds. Wish I had a higher framerate on this monitor (actually a TV, but whatever) but it will only display 60fps in native 4k and dropping it down to the 120hz modes wouldn't be the same test obviously. Oh well. Damn now I wanna buy a 120hz 4k TV for my rig >_< |
Chrono Trigger was my #1. The only reason this takes the crown is that is is so god damn unique and the story. The various "genres" you play in one title is crazy. Like, when I first started 9s playthrough, I didn't care for hacking, but by the end it was amazing like the quick melee combat. Never thought the last hack on A2 would end. Never thought the credit fighting would end.
Outriders..... enjoy the fun before you get bored. Can't remember what level I got to, but it is TOTALLY manageable solo if you understand your class. Play to their strengths and you'll do just fine. |
I picked the tanky class. Normally hate playing pure tank but it seemed the best bet for a solo run. Gaining health for killing enemies in close proximity is absolutely crucial
|
Yeah, same on my 1st run. I didn't even finish the campaign because I got bored. Dogespeed.
|
Outriders wasn't bad bad.
Good weapons and armor doesn't come until after the game. But, I platinumed already and there wasn't any point going further to discover "the truth". Disappointed that no further DLC content came for this game. I think the vibe is that the game didn't do good in sales. |

It's funny how easy it was to hack this considering it's always online and is meant to be played with others. |
I wasnt planning to finish RE4 on my birthday but I woke up and finished it. Great game! Not in my top 5, but probably in my top 20.
|
Quote:
Careful, as it is a "live service" game and they can yank your account if caught. LPT: Youtube the story next time instead of putting yourself through whatever Outriders wants to be |
They don't yank your account on Outriders. They just label you a cheater and match you with other cheaters and if you never play outside of single player they dont even bother apparently.
|
Also I H-A-T-E watching youtube videos of games with a passion. Only ones I ever watch are easter egg videos and like "top 10 upcoming games" or w/e and I only watch those on super rare occasions when I am really bored and don't feel like watching literally anything else.
|
lol, how dumb - the cheating thing.

Playing Guardians of the Galaxy. Really good so far. Combat is fun. Not terribly deep, but still fun. Story is fantastic so far.

Loving the fuck out of Mario Party Superstars. It's bringing back so many memories and I'm glad a good chunk of my favorite minigames got included. The playable roster could be bigger, though, but it's still fun.
