Fightful debunked reports of them saying The Revival turned down WWE's latest contract offer to stay.

At the moment, The Revival haven't made a decision yet on the future of their careers.

So Ricochet fingerbanged his butthole with poop and stuff?

Evil Vito 06-20-2019 12:14 AM

It's not even the first video leak Ricochet had. Last year there was video of him jacking off right around the time he signed.

If you have distinctive tattoos, keep them out of the camera.

This scene......

Jesus Christ, I don't even need to watch it to know it's horrible. Ember's face, the positioning of them, the flat lighting, the OTT make-up and wardrobe. Fuck's sake. It's annoying to just look at this promotion.

BigCrippyZ 06-20-2019 08:40 AM

So many questions or things that are actually more interesting than the actual feud and brawl here.

Why is the door behind them only 2/3 of the way closed, and what's with the Home Depot boxes? Also who eats a box of donuts standing up in the middle of a production/staging area? You mean to tell me they couldn't find a seat somewhere else or make their way to catering, a locker room, or any other room in the venue to enjoy those?

I can't remember the last time I've listened to the Experience. I think it was his timeline of the Montreal Screwjob. When he does stuff like that, he's absolutely captivating . When he starts ranting about politics/current wrestling I either turn it off or don't download it to begin with, which is what I've been doing lately. Even though I agree with his political views, I'm not downloading a wrestling podcast to hear politics. I listen to the Drive Thru each week, but that's it.

I just saw so many weird things

  • Ember is blind
  • "There you are.................................................."
  • Weird dialog by ember after she allows them to have a convo about donuts
  • "We want you to be healthy" said while eating a donut
  • But the box of donuts down on the crate next to you so you don't have to hold them
  • Reading books is rotting your brain
  • Empty home depo boxes
  • Camera immediately starts shaking
  • YT commenter pointed out how Mandy looks like she wants to fuck Sonya at the end.

Apparently WWE's Saudi deal is already causing issues with their television deal with FOX.

Saudis want their next event held on a Friday but the problem is that takes place after WWE's FOX deal starts so WWE either has to go with split crews or potentially upset the Saudis by locking Fridays out for all future events.

The Drive Thru is great, way way better than The Experience. I skip the first 10-15 minutes of the Drive Thru but you have to skip about half an hour of Experience to cut out the plugs and non-wrestle talk.

I watched a few episodes of The Wrestlers on Vice. It’s pretty good! The episode with MVP was excellent. The Stardom episode was really good too although I can’t tell if Japanese fans are creepy or just really passionate.

Fignuts 06-20-2019 07:44 PM

Most definitely creepy.

That’s kind of the industry’s fault for pandering to them.

Also yeah, Stardom one was really good. I knew of Mayu Iwatani, but not the struggles she faced.

Supposedly both are from the wrestlers themselves. WWE mostly just signs off on their ideas and put it to film.

Its possible since Borash was responsible for the out-of-the-box production mentality with the Broken Hardys stuff in Impact.

Not sure if he actually does any main roster production stuff though since he mainly works for NXT.

I love The Revival, but I do wish they were bigger. Just for their sake. And just a little. They're probably the right size for a good rivalry with The Bucks. But they work a heavier style that's kind of odd to see against bigger guys.

YouTube hits=google money.

BigCrippyZ 06-21-2019 10:57 PM

At best, WWE's annual Youtube revenue is likely less than 3% of WWE's annual gross revenues, and will only decrease as a % overall with the new upcoming TV deals.

You could obviously emphasize that in any given year without Youtube revenues, in that same year and/or some future year(s), WWE would potentially have less annual profit or perhaps even a net annual loss. You could even focus on the fact that it's growing annually at a relatively higher rate than other revenue streams, increasing at an annual rate of at best 1% but likely less than 1% of WWE's total annual revenue going forward.

However, any company that is building its core product(s) around or relying on a revenue stream that is that small of a portion (3% or less) of its overall revenue, even if it's growing year over year (at best) at 1% of total revenues, especially at the potential expense or downfall of other larger proportional annual revenue streams, isn't necessarily looking at the big picture and is probably being incredibly mismanaged overall or in many other key areas.

Really? I've always thought they were rather small. It wasn't as noticeable when they were in NXT because there weren't as many huge guys there to compare them to but once they debuted on the main roster it became glaring. They are way more often than not the smallest guys in the ring when they are in it.

Perpetuating bullshit like this is why we have Baron Corbin in constant main events.

Sepholio 06-23-2019 08:51 AM

They've had really small eventers though. Some of them great wrestlers. But I always run into the problem of not being able to find their work believable when they go against the bigs. Daniel Bryan vs Brock Lesnar for example. Rey Mysterio vs Big Show back in the day. It doesn't work for me because I know the reality is is that one clean shot from the big man in those matches completely mauls the little guy yet here this little guy is constantly kicking out of shit that should kill him.

It's hard. There has to be some level of realism now that we're past the whole suspension of disbelief phase.

This is a weird thing to try and articulate while simultaneously saying that I love a lot of the smaller guys and their work. Because I find them to be better than the vast majority of the bigs. But I'd pick the bigs almost every time in an actual fight and that realism factor has to play some role.

Also The Revival have a bigger issue than just being small...they are small and work a more "power" style that you usually only see bigs working. That comes off fine when they are working with people who are similar size to them....but you put them in the ring with some hosses and that style just does not translate from them.

Evil Vito 06-23-2019 09:06 AM

If I cared about “believability” of small guys fighting big guys, I wouldn’t watch wrestling. I’d watch MMA where everybody is strictly segmented by weight class.

Evil Vito 06-23-2019 09:07 AM

Also for what it’s worth, in no way does the bigger guy always win in a real fight. Some dudes have a size advantage but no clue what to do with it.

Sepholio 06-23-2019 09:36 AM

Yeah but we aren't talking about guys who don't know what to do with their size are we? You may not like them as performers, but they are all well trained at this point and not some huge behemoth on the street that's never done anything physical. You really telling me you'd buy Dash against Braun for example?

Sounds like you may not care about believability because you still manage some amount of suspension of disbelief over it somehow.

Sepholio 06-23-2019 09:43 AM

Also on a side note I feel like the reason Corbin is now in the ME isn't because of his size but because of how much they have been able to make everyone hate him. Like it or not he has heat not seen in YEARS. It doesn't matter if it's legit heat, X-Pac heat, or FU heat, it's a lot of heat. They can use the fuck out of him right now. Corbin will go away when people stop reacting to him.

Also he's not nearly as bad as a lot of people here want to make him seem. He's not great or anything, be he's serviceable and can put on a good match sometimes.

Sepholio 06-23-2019 09:48 AM

Also I'm not suggesting strict weight classes. There is just a limit to size differential to me, and when you pass that limit it doesn't come off as "legit". I've no problem with someone 5'10" working someone say John Cena's size (6'4" or 6'5" I think and like 235-240lbs?) and putting up a good fight and winning. I'm not buying that same guy against a 6'8" super heavy, like Brock, Lashley, Braun, Drew or Roman.

This aired on Maple Leaf Wrestling. I have it in my collection. Jack Reynolds and Jesse calling. Lol what a squash match.

Sepholio 06-23-2019 03:55 PM

I have never seen that before. Incredible. It's baffling watching that knowing that he's 59 there....he may have been the most in shape person on the planet for his age at the time.

Agree to disagree with it not working for them, but I will say you're touching on a different problem. Nobody really works psychologically like a type anymore. Big men go flying everywhere. Small guys brawl. Everyone goes up the ropes, and half of everyone uses a submission hold. Everyone is "deceptively" something for their size. Similar to the adage of having nothing but 7ft guys means you have no giants, if everyone does everything, one guy doing it more doesn't matter. Part of Rey Rey's legend is how much he dove. Now, everyone dives.

With the Revival specifically, I have no probelm with them working a "power" style. I have more problem with them being yet another team who does so. Even if they're up against AoP, because taller and fatter doesn't automatically mean stronger.

#Dive.

Also, it made me think of that Carpentier video, and how much of what he did is no different from what much of the Indy guys do now. Only difference is, back then, no one else was doing it, so that made him special. Now, everyone does it, so who gives a shit?

Mike Tyson and Kurt Angle are 5'10. I think there needs to be a distinction between regular small guys and guys of average to below average height who have that NFL running back "brick shit house" sort of body type who look like they could plow through just about anyone.

#1-norm-fan 06-24-2019 01:14 AM

Yeah. Angle also had the advantage that he COULD legitimately beat guys much taller than him so it wouldn’t be so hard to suspend disbelief. I agree with Seph’s general point but I think it’s more the overall look and presentation than just the height that ruins it for me.

I am concerned a Seth/Becky vs Corbin/Lacey match will be a gateway drug to a Seth/Becky vs HHH/Stephanie match

I could see Shane vs HHH being an early contender for a WM match too tbh

lol did I put that thought in your head? I wasn't serious. It'll never happen. No way WWE is that stupid.

;)

Oh, I could see it, I could see it very, very much

When I was chatting w/ a former WWE writer one time in Twitter DMs he told me if the USA Network had their way RAW would always be about the McMahons/McMahon family drama.

The USA Network LOVES the McMahons storylines/being the central heel focus of RAW.

According to the Observer, Vince's newest plan to fix WWE's ratings woes is to no longer have any wrestling go on during commercial breaks (at least for RAW). Last week's Best 2-out-of-3 and elimination matches on RAW and Smackdown was them testing out this idea.

According to PWI, WWE is also considering the idea of a round system for matches similar to classic European style wrestling. Similar idea when it comes to handling match breaks for commercials.

Both plans revolve around the idea of making WWE shows more sports-like without realizing the actual differences between wrestling shows and sports games. Also likely won't result in WWE actually fixing their deep-seated booking issues.

I noticed WWE wasn't using the titantron last night. Someone from F4W noticed it too and spoke with someone who was on the risers said they really couldn't see inside the ring during the cage mage and since the tron was off it was hard for them to watch the match.
