Was just thinking about what Disney+ is going to mean for the WWE Network come November. It's set to cost $6.99, which is cheaper than the WWE Network and it will have a lot better and more varied entertainment. I'm fairly certain that it's going to take a massive slice of the OTT subscription model market, which means that other services might be on the chopping block when it comes to considering the monthly entertainment budget. I doubt it's Netflix that is going to take most of the cuts.

I can't picture Disney + having any effect on the WWE Network what-so-ever.

Non sequitor - I was talking to a dad at my kid's soccer practice. He paid a lady $1,000 at Disney and she got them unlimited fast passes, skipped all lines, and mapped out each ride to "maximize" their time in the park.

Even if Disey bundles ESPN+ and Hulu with it? And WWE gets dropped from Hulu because Fox owns it (or at least drops RAW)

Also Disney Bought the company (BamTech) that ran WWE Network up until this January to help run Disney+/ESPN+ so in a way it's already affected WWE Network by causing them to hire a new company to run it (Endeavor Streaming)

Disney is in the $$$ biz and unless WWE performs poorly on HULU, which Disney is now the majority owner of, I doubt they'd care.

According to the Observer, Dana Warrior supposedly has been very hands-on with Lacey Evans current push in WWE to the point Meltzer thinks Lacey is Dana's "pet project" in Creative.

The belt is something they not only fought for, but it is theirs (neverminding the deposit practices like the one that allowed Ric Flair to essentially walk off with the WCW Championship because of the money behind it)

I mean, now, fans in the stands shell out money for belts that look better than one an actual promotion might have... but back then, on top of the prestige, there used to be a little more emphasis on how much the titles meant, but also on how much they COST!

Gaming website Giantbomb just held a final segment for their series of nightly E3 shows that had Kenny Omega and Xavier Woods as the guests.

They played a comedy bit where neither were on the screen at the same time and oblivious to the other being in the same room via shenanigans. Then after Woods left for the last time, it turned into a real interview with Omega discussing games and hyping up both AEW and their upcoming shows.

Really? So many people I know toss up between which streaming services they are going to get. They bundle all that shit together. Things like Spotify and even gym memberships come into the equation too. I know quite a few people that have given up Stan (probably Australia's closest thing to a Netflix alternative) just because they want to get back into the gym. You wouldn't equate the gym with re-runs of Friends, but some people make that choice.

I wasn't thinking about it when I cancelled my WWE Network, because I cancelled that because they made Jinder Mahal champ (and I wasn't even watching old PPVs anymore), but if I had to choose between getting, say, New Japan World and Disney+, I'm definitely going to be thinking about how I want to spend my leisure time in front of screens.

Um, dude, there's going to be a lot more on there than animated stuff (and a lot of that shit is objectively fucking great film-making anyway). You're going to have Nat Geo, Marvel, Star Wars and all the properties they own. I'm actually mainly going to be getting it for classic Simpsons.

I often prefer it. There isn't that pressure to talk about what you've just seen, and you can go grab a bite to eat and do that post-film processing.
