Mick Foley responded to a comment I wrote on his facebook page and I reverted to a giddy 10 year old mark again. Have you ever had any interactions online with legends/superstars?

Lock Jaw 10-15-2015 01:13 AM

As the Anonymous RAW General Manager, I regularly had interactions online with many legends/superstars.

UMMM YOU THINK

Heisenberg 10-15-2015 11:20 AM

Serious MOD message:

Hey Champions, welcome to the Fall/Winter season of TPWW Wrestling Forum. Um, well, some of you are angry with our main show RAW. That's ok, I'm pissed too. It is imperative that you continue your presence on these boards, don't let the lack of RAWness get you down, find a hobby and enjoy that instead of wasting your Monday night away hoping for anything resembling entertainment. It's not going to happen if you keep watching. Now you're like "Well Poopenberg, easy for you to say, you think you have it altogether eh buddy?". Settle down, I'm just trying to help others out. It took me going to WCW back in the day for WWF to become entertaining again. We don't have much to fall back on, they are competing with non-wrestling entities and with the Twittah machine you can instantly voice your opinion to WWE about how repetitive they are. They are listening, not fully, but they can't deny criticism forever.

If you're into gimmick changes, Noid has made something out of nothing and will translate trash into gold for you so we don't have to feel alone.

#1 wwf fan and The CyNick are feuding, so check that out.

Lastly, it is encouraged that we have at least 1 or 2 Kanyon cutter gifs per page in any thread in the wrestling forum

He's still right more often than he's wrong.

Amazing how 50 Cesaro Section signs can cloud judgement.

And i actually really like the guy, but i haven't been overwhelmed by anything he's done so far. I did like him with Kidd. Maybe he needs a tag partner for a while.

Heisenberg 10-15-2015 11:31 AM

Cesaro is nothing special to me entertainment-wise, but a good chunk of people pay to see him so I think that he should warrant some TV time with a feud involving a WWE pushed guy so everyone gets a piece of the pie

I mentioned on here that I thought Cesaro would get back wins over Show, but then I read there was heat over something he did. So who knows what it was.

I agree though I would like to see him in a long term program. That said, given his limitations, I think he's better off in a tag team for now.

WWE is like that cool cousin you are always happy to see and have so many memories with, then they fake a car accident that YOU only know was staged and the cousin is gaining money and admiration for it. No matter how hard you try to convince others, it is for naught.

You hope someday that the cousin stops their crap and gets back to being cool, instead of predictable and repetitive

WWE thought the original image or design wasn't worthy or fitting enough for honoring Owen Hart.

Regardless of any of his "limitations" or whether people think he is boring or whatever, he consistently puts on great matches, and gets great reactions. Whether you find him boring or not is your opinion, but there is no denying the pops he gets (or was getting).

I'm not saying he should win the King of the Ring, Survivor Series, Royal Rumble and then unify every single title in the main event of Wrestlemania (I'd have no problem with that, though), but there is definitely a large fanbase of people that enjoy watching him perform. His matches always get good reactions. He should, at least, be involved more heavily and get some long-term programs. Sadly, it's been said countless times how useless WWE is with anyone outside of the main event picture, so it's wishful thinking.

But I hate this idea of just absolutely squashing any chance of him really going anywhere, just coz Vince thinks he's boring. 70,000 fans going apeshit when Cesaro picked up Big Show at last years Wrestlemania SHOULD have at least led to something. I hate this concept of people "scratching and clawing" and Cesaro "dropping the ball" when you see the booking he had to work with around that time.

Bret Hart did not have nice things to say about the Owen Hart documentary project during an interview with John Pollock. He wasn't particularly fond of the restrictions that Martha enforced. Bret can be really outspoken at times.

Since Monday Night RAW will remain under Vince's supervision for the time being, it would be interesting to see Hunter take over Smackdown, cherry-pick some performers and orchestrate rivalries that are somewhat exclusive to the brand and are not mentioned on RAW.

Unlike most of you, I still see the benefits of maintaining two separate rosters. Look at how great NXT is (I am completely aware of how it is an alternative to the main roster) ? Remember how "cool" Smackdown was in '02 (The Smackdown Six, Brock Lesnar, Rapper Cena :shifty:, United States and Cruiserweight titles) ?

The Mania crowd is a different beast. You almost have to ignore their reactions to some degree because they will be there no matter what. They will be first in line to get travel packages to Mania, they will attend all the events, then they will go home and complain for 364 days and do it all over again.

The key is does he get a consistent reaction in Des Moines Iowa in front of 8000 fans, and not just for one spot in a match You can easily build up to one big spot in a match, but to be main event level you need to be able to connect throughout a 15-25 minute match against someone other than John Cena.

I feel like I'm picking on Cesaro, but believe me I really think he's talented. I just think I see the flaws that upper management sees. I mentored it before, but in the ring he was flat up until the swing spot. Over the past months I've seen him incorporate more things that I think will get him to a moveset that fans can recognize and get behind when the time in the match is right. But I think he has a long way to go in terms of telling a story in the ring. I thought he was doing better with Big Show where he would try a bunch of crazy power moves and eventually one would fail and cost him the match. And of course his promos are boring, which is a massive roadblock to get to the top. He needs to work on that.

I was hoping to see him work up to another program with Owens, but stories came out about backstage issues. Without knowing what those were, it's hard to criticize WWE for not pushing him right now. When you are trying to manage 50 egos, and one of them gets out of hand, you have to check him to keep the rest of the boys in line.

Regardless of any of that, though, I hate the idea of someone like Cesaro not going anywhere simply because "Vince finds him boring". It's been said countless times over the years that Vince has lost touch of what people want to see, and I gotta say it's fucking right (assuming everything we read online is somewhat true).

If Vince retired tomorrow and Triple H and Steph took complete control, I bet guys like Cesaro would most certainly start to take a more prominent role in the product.

And yes, Cesaro does get good reactions in Des Moines Iowa or anywhere else. Unless we're watching completely different shows. But nobody can ever face Cena and get a better reaction than a "Lets go Cena/Cena sucks" chant.

Rammsteinmad 10-15-2015 06:51 PM

Anyways, it's all subjective really. I don't wanna get into a long-winded Cynick argument over the ins-and-outs of the wrestling business and how everything works and how everyone is wrong or if Cesaro is actually over or not or whatever. It's just my opinion. I love Cesaro, and I think Vince is an out-of-touch old man who should retire.

Enjoy the rest of your evening.

Remember reading something earlier in the year or maybe last year about Hunter having some control over Smackdown for stuff but not enough for any real impact. Vince still gets final say over everything and anything special or unique on Smackdown quickly gets tossed to RAW for rematches and priority.

Smackdown 2002 was awesome! It was that initial run once the brand extension took place, that firmly made me a "Smackdown Guy" up until the rosters fully merged again. Guess I support the underdogs. :o

That, and because I didn't have Sky Sports at the time and could only watch Smackdown. :|

Mr. Nerfect 10-15-2015 08:17 PM

Watching Cesaro on RAW take those European uppercuts and just get pissed off at Sheamus was the best thing I have seen on WWE television in weeks. Uh...er...I mean...the worst. /Evil Noid

Damian Rey 10-15-2015 08:22 PM

Cesaro is boring Noid. Get over it.

Mr. Nerfect 10-15-2015 08:23 PM

I still think that Cesaro vs. The Miz would be a great feud to get Cesaro's personality embedded with the average WWE fan. Miz can carry most of the talking and Cesaro can just react and beat him up.

Seriously think he might be the best worker I've seen in the WWE since 2000.

#1-norm-fan 10-15-2015 09:01 PM

I've got a TEW game I've been working on here and there where I've got Cesaro in a Bryan/Wyatts type feud where his misfortunes have made him vulnerable for a freshly turned Zeb Colter to recruit him into his stable of heel foreigners only for him to turn on them at Survivor Series in an 8-man tag after he realizes he's been brainwashed and used.

It's not genius or perfect. But it's fucking SOMETHING with some substance.
