Agreed. Jericho was their best option. He's a heel, he's over, he's got worldwide credibility and now they can use him to put over whoever they decide is their first babyface champ, who I'm guessing will be Omega.

I'm stoked Jericho is champ, he is the biggest star they have.

Of course I don't know if Jericho is cool with it, since if he thinks Lesnar is too old and fat to be a champion, then he must think the same about an older and fatter person being champion.

For a special that wasn't really promoted this is good, I didn't think there was much interest in it. Means the actual show could do double or triple that number.

I know they said no long promos, but the first TNT show should start out with Adam Page cutting a "shoot" promo that he wouldn't have let the title get stolen, and demanding a rematch that very night!

Make him carry the Women's Title until they find it.

Not sure how I feel about that number. It was below average for the slot.

Not for TNT since it doesn't seem whatever TNT had for the 10PM hour the week before cracked the Top 150 based on Showbuzz's chart. Also would put it within the 300k-500k range people are speculating as a safe guess for AEW's weekly show early on.

That special with very little advertising managed to be #29 for the night.

Based on a bit more digging, TNT only cracked the Top 150 one other time last month and that was due to them airing a movie for most of primetime.

It was more than double what usually airs....

Yeah, considering the time slot and the lack of promotion and importance , 390,000 seems like a pretty good sign.

Do you have a source for this? Ratings information is hard to find. I think the source I used was comparing it to what is usually in that space. The Weather Channel had about 900k. :lol:

Think slik means in regards to TNT which is true at least going back the last two months on Showbuzz.

During that time frame, they only charted 2 other times in the Top 150 and the cutoff for some weeks went as low as 100k. In regards to new or live stuff, last thing that tracked from TNT was a soccer match that did around 168k but that aired at 8PM.

In terms of 10PM comparisons, Showbuzz stated AEW's special was in the average for viewers and demo numbers.

Why would anyone think a last-minute special of rehashed footage, with very little promo, doing almost 400k viewers on a Friday night at 10pm would be a bad thing?

I don't get that, at all.
