Reptile has come a long way from his days as Mortal Kombat's original secret. His designs in Shaolin Monks and Mortal Kombat X are pretty great but this one is a strong contender. I don't think there's been a character in this that has a shit look to them.

Li Mei is another one from the 3D era that I had a favorable opinion about, even though her Carnival Kick made no sense and that she was blatant eye-candy. She's got a great design here, though.

i saw who the likely last Kameo character is and I'm all for it.

Now, let's just see if Nitara makes it as a playable.....

Sad that Skarlet isn't likely but it's whatever.

Nitara seems like a major random name to all of a sudden bring back, but it's preferrable here than in the fucking movie from a few years ago.

She's got history with Ashrah and the roster needs another (female) villain.

Haven't found Li Mei that fun to play. She looks good and her moves are kinda cool but I can't put my finger on it. Probably because I'm a Jade-stan.

Even if were inclined to pick up the game, I don't have a PS5 or Xbox X.

May get this eventually but it's not high priority. Combat design still looks off and I'm still certain this was supposed to be a tag fighter.

A small part of me is hoping this is them walking back the stupidity of what they did with Sindel in Mortal Kombat 11.

Nah, it's not exactly a must have feature in MK the way a story mode is. It's too bad because the base kombat mechanics lends itself well to a tag team style.

I'd assume the only reason they bothered having a Tag mode was to have an excuse to do the handicap matches in story mode instead of breaking those fights into two or more separate fights to cut back on potential bloat.
