A very interesting matchup. Has been said both Funky and I have improved since our SF4 days, but we haven't had much in head to head going into this match. Who would win? Let's do this...

Round 1
Cammy (Blitz) Vs. Abel (Funky)-I break out my first main to begin. I take the first round with a come back Gyrodrive Smasher. Second round I handle, Funky takes a very close round 3, and I mop up in round 4. A good start.

Round 2
Guy Vs. Blanka-Blanka is one of those characters who I just never have an answer for, and I know Funky has a good one. Nevertheless, I've got Guy, who I've been doing very well with online lately. Rounds 1 and 2 were close, with Funky taking the former and me taking the latter. Round 3 came down to slivers of health, but Funk pulled it out. Round 4, Funk would've perfected me if not for a traded crouching roundhouse at rounds end. He takes it.

Ibuki Vs. Zangief-My low stamina'd ninja against the Russian tank? No sweat. I've never feared Gief too much, and this fight was no different. Say it with me kids: Rush. That. Shit. Down. I perfect him round 1, a wakeup ultra finishes round 2, and a slightly whiffed ultra followed by EX neckbreaker ends the third, and I've got a sweep.

Round 4
Guy vs. T-Hawk-I have very little experience playing against T-Hawk, but the few fights I have had have been ugly. This one fits that. We traded rounds and it came down to number 6, where I blew it hardcore by looking for my super too much. Bah. Guy wasn't working for me tonight, but I did have the misfortune of drawing him against 2 characters that give me lots of trouble.

Ken Vs. Bison-Funky takes round 1 by ultraing over my hadouken. I get aggressive in round 2 and take that one. Same goes for rounds 3 and 4.
Winner-Blitz

Round 6
Dudley Vs. Blanka-I have hot and cold streaks with Dudley, and am in the midst of a cold one, but I gave him a shot. I take round 1, but whiff on an ultra in round 2. I suck dick hard core in round 3, round 4 had a pretty nice finish, with Funky blocking my ultra, but me immediately following it up with a super to win. Funky turtled up in round 5 and I didn't have an answer. He wins.

Ibuki vs. Abel-When Ibuki works for me, she works fucking beautifully. I sweep the first 3 rounds, and there ain't much more to say than that.

Ken Vs. T-Hawk-I like playing aggressive with Ken, and do so here. We trade the first 2 rounds, but Funky takes control in 3, ultraing me right after my ultra, and utterly manhandling me in 4.

Cammy Vs. Sagat-Ehhhh little anticlimactic. I handle rounds 1 and 2. Funky takes me down past half life in round 3, but a super/ultra combo evens the playing field, and I come back for the win.

Blitz defeats Funky Fly 5-4

Helluva series. Hats off to Funky. He's probably the closest match to me in terms of skill here, so it was nice and competitive. In closing, fuck Blanka and T-Hawk.

We'll I'm out. It was a crazy fight, but Blitz took it 5-4. He's the one guy I hadn't trained with so everything was a surprise, except Ibuki and Cammy. The real surprise though is his reaction time. It's off the charts now. When we were playing SF4 last year, I could catch him with ridiculous poorly timed shit because he'd react late to everything. Gonna get to the replays later.

Ok, so break down:

Blitz on the left, me on the right. It switched us when the guy on the right won the match, but I'll post the breakdown as if it were this way the whole time.

Match 1: Cammy (Blitz) vs Abel (Funky Fly)

I started strong and needed like 1 hit to win, but Blitz blitz came back to take the first round by taking 3/4 of my health. God damn. It was all down hill from there. 3-1 Blitz.

Standings: Blitz 1 - Funky Fly 0

Match 2: Guy vs Blanka

Blitz comes out quickly and lays into me early. Don't really remember which round Blitz took, but it ended 1-3 for me. A lot of this was timing him out and trying to guess priorities, since I hadn't faced Guy players with Blanka (they're so rare online, WTF). Some pretty good back and forth.

Match 3: Ibuki vs Zangief (the horror)

OMG, some call the cops, there's been a rape. First round Perfect for Blitz. Ok, I've heard the stories, so I was like yup, time to change my game up and come back, right? FUCKIN' WRONG. I change up and come close to tying it back up and then Blitz unleashes the fucking fury all over my ass. Same for round 2, but worse.

Match 4: Guy vs T. Hawk

Right, so other than a few people (and I mean a few here, like Roxer, Drakul and like 3 people online, not one's lasted outside of 4 rounds with my T. Hawk if they're not spamming hadoukens. ANYWAY, The series went 2-3 for me. This was crazy. I came in and hammered him with throws and anti-air, so he changed up from flipping around and was actually able to come in close and put it down without getting smothered numerous times. Like, almost at will. Almost. I started tagging him with shots until I'm be able to throw him. Extremely close.

Standings: Blitz 2 - Funky Fly 2

Match 5: Ken vs M. Bison

3-1. Rape. The end.










Ok, I'll elaborate. I got stomped on the first round, but came back with 1 hit left to whittle him down and catch him with the Psycho Punisher. That was it. The rest of the fight was me being stuffed left and right. One of the best Ken players out there.

Match 6: Dudley vs Blanka (you like those speedy characters much, Blitz? ;))

Like I said, Blitz has phenomenal timing, and here's where I realized it. So I started baiting him and catching him, but he's a good strategist too, so he managed to pick me apart too. Went to go capitalize on a whiffed super at one point and caught a punch from the backside, lol. 2-3 for me. Close fight.

Match 7: Ibuki vs Abel

Remember when I said to call the cops earlier? The rapist strikes again. I had nothing here. Literally nothing. 3-0. Let's move on.

Match 8: Ken vs T. Hawk

Not gonna lie, I was a little unhappy about being completely raped three times now. I was also unhappy about yet another shoto vs T. Hawk match (like 3/4 of my fights online with T. Hawk are this). But, it wasn't Ryu or fucking Akuma for once. Blitz put up a really good fight, but there is no fireball trapping a half-decent T. Hawk. Do not try it. 1-3 for me.

Match 9: Cammy vs Sagat

Knew this was coming, so I took my anti-Cammy out for a spin. Trouble is, I haven't practiced any anti-Cammy with Sagat in forever. D'oh. Shoulda taken Balrog. 3-0, declaring the winner by intermittent rape: Blitzkrieg.

They've played before I think. The only problem should be the time zones. But even then, I caught one online when the other one last signed on like 30 mins ago so that shouldn't be a problem either.

Yeah, I tried to have a match against Khuntry a few days ago and the lag made it unplayable. I don't know why. After we gave up trying I had smooth matches with people in ranked.

I've connected to people as far as Japan and Hong Kong and had perfect connections so I've no idea why the connection randomly doesn't like certain TPWW posters.

I too have problems playing with Khuntry. Every time he's in EB, I can't join and vice versa.

Even I have issues with Khuntry and we're relatively close compared to the rest of you. Being that this is a recent issue, maybe something happened on Khuntry's end.
