He's an evil Bulgarian he can marry them both.

I would assume they are building to Big E taking the US title and putting Cena on the shelf.

Could actually see Big E vs The Rock.

My guess is Rusev keeps failing to win titles, and blames Summer Rae, but he agrees to still marry her despite all her failings. Then at the wedding, Lana comes back, Rusev pretends like he's pissed, but after Lana (in her classic business suit) beats up SR in a wedding dress they embrace, and continue with the wedding. When Lana says "I do" the Russian flag drops down and they are back as a couple.

No, she was more terrible than the hypobole. Her rope running, which is wrestling 101 literally made Kelly Kelly's look to be Shawn Michaels-esque. The botches aren't "recent"; she did so more than the original Sin Cara... only Sin Cara made himself look foolish, Eva either put others in cringy positions or actually injured them. Selling is one of her stronger suits, but that's really saying a wet turd is better than hershey squirts. Any heat she can draw by intentionally playing the role of unlikable bitch was being outstripped by her actually just being... unlikeable. Or rather, unwatchable.

Yes, you are correct about the idea of dark matching her for at least a year, if not longer, to see if she starts to come along. But WWE has already proven they don't like to play the long game like they used to.

All things being fair, and my personal dislike of Eva aside, arguably the greatest Diva of all time, Trish Stratus, was a bit shit in the beginning. But she got settled in, first. She was eye candy. She was an arm charm. She got time to improve. She probably got a lot of house show matches under her belt that by amd large we don't know of. She got the time to improve. They were dead set on giving Eva the world "now", and much like their other booking, it is cart before the horse thinking. They want the result without cultivating anything. They want her heat from Total Divas to just cross over into the "main product" without thinking that being a heel on a reality show and being a heel in wrestling isn't a 1:1 transfer.

Just ask The Miz. He was one of the most hated people on TV during the heyday of all those MTV reality shows. In wrestling, he exuded "change the channel" heat. When he was hosting Divas Search and whatnot, they weren't trying to hotshot him WWE champion anytime soon, and that paid off.

Anyway, Eva is shit.

Turns out Cena isn't taking time off to relax or recover from any nagging injuries but because he wanted to tape a fitness reality show for FOX. WWE wasn't sure about the exact date he'd return at first which is why they gave him 2 months off.

Quote:

WWE is claiming that the reason John Cena is taking time off from the company from October 26th through mid-December is because of personal reasons.

However, it's for a different reason.

Pro Wrestling author and Fighting Spirit Magazine contributor Scott Keith noted on his blog that a friend in the fitness industry is working on a fitness-themed reality show for the FOX network, and the show is set to air in the spring.

That reality show will be hosted by John Cena.

The taping for that show begins on October 26th and will run approximately 6-8 weeks.

Cena will also be featured in “The Nest” with Tina Fey, which is scheduled to be released on December 18th.

Cena is scheduled to return to WWE at the December 26 Madison Square Garden show.

Big AJ Styles fan, if he didn't appear on Velocity years ago I'd say he is the new Sting to the WWE, but he wasn't a star, just a job to them so maybe we'll get him for a WrestleMania or two someday

Big Vic 10-13-2015 04:16 PM

I heard an interview with an Ex WWE writer saying that the only he wrote that made it on air was:

'It would be cool for the upcoming 4th of july smackdown event if Kane (Who was a heel at the time) would walk on screen and do the thing with his arms to start the grill after the other wrestlers there could not'

I thought to my self 'No wonder you were fired.'

I remember that. Compared to the usual WWE attempts at comedy, it was practically fucking George Carlin bit.

I understand the humor in it but that doesn't mean he needs to do it especially when he is heel

#1-norm-fan 10-13-2015 09:20 PM

To be fair, I think that was far after the point heel Kane could be taken seriously anyway. Also, I think it was during the Bryan/Punk feud where he was a "love interest" of AJ so he wasn't exactly murdering people at the time outside of the skit. He may have even been kind of a tweener already at that point.

It turns out that Gunn was the one who got Storm into talks with WWE officials. Gunn and Storm are said to be really good friends outside of the business and Gunn reportedly arranged for the two sides to begin discussions.

Regarding a recent report that said TNA learned of Storm attending Takeover and started throwing more money at him, that may not be entirely correct. TNA did contact Storm when they heard he was at NXT as they wanted to book him for their upcoming tour of India but they likely did not offer him more money than what they offered him last week.

RAW was #4 for the night in viewership behind the NFL on ESPN, MLB on TBS and ESPN SportsCenter. RAW was #5 for the night in the 18-49 demographic, behind the NFL, SportsCenter, both MLB games and Love & Hip-Hop.

New record low for 2015 and the 3 Hour era in general. Another website broke down how bad the drops are getting and the WWE has lost around 700k viewers on average since Summerslam.

Raw is about upping the prime time network average for USA. They are not strong for advertisers on USA no matter what their demos are and with rights fees, vs. advertising revenue, USA makes very little money on the deal. But without Raw, they go from challenging for No. 1 to also-ran position they are deathly afraid of. It's also why nobody else wanted them at anywhere that price.

It's also why the declining numbers aren't as bad as they seem, because USA is declining with them, and the more USA declines, the more valuable Raw is to them.

The issue is if USA, which is overall super profitable, has an issue with profits, they may cut the least profitable shows. That's why WWE & USA are both trying to push the idea that they aren't low brow, so they can get more advertisers not to shun them.

In regards if USA Network will end up getting involved to improve things and the short answer is no. USA is struggling just as bad overall but have nothing on tap that could replace RAW or help out.
