WHERE IS LAYLA???????????

SlickyTrickyDamon 08-18-2011 02:28 AM

Out for 6 months with a torn ACL.

Tom Guycott 08-18-2011 06:10 AM

... and likely getting protective mask rides or filming paper bag porn or otherwise preparing the world for "Grandbaby Dweem".

The torn ACL is only smoke & mirrors.

I'm sure this would be hilarious if I got the reference.

If Pain and Destruction are Demolition's middle names, what are their last names?

I absolutely loved their impressions of Warrior, Bearer, Hogan and Savage.

Though I've lost count how many times I've heard people complain about how much "the new guys suck" in comparison to the wrestlers they grew up watching.

Which one was "Pain" and which was "Destruction"? Or was "Pain and Destruction" a shared middle name of both men?? AND what happened when they added Crush? Did he adopt the tandem version of the middle name whilst part of Demolition, or,if "Pain" and "Destruction" were allocated to Axe and Smash individually, did he then get a new middle name not mentioned in the song...

Origin

The image became popular in late 2009 after someone on the /sp/ board of 4chan posted a screenshot of Pardon The Interruption where Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon talked about the Indianapolis Colts’ decision to rest Peyton Manning in a game against the Jets, which they ended up losing. Across the bottom of the screen, it said, “Why did the Colts give up?” The meme continued in a thread where a person asked “Why do you follow the teams you follow?” with a picture of just Tony Kornheiser’s face and the word “Why” from the bottom of the screen. The thread is archived here.
Usage & Spread

This meme is used often on the /sp/ board of 4chan any time a person asks “Why” about something, or anytime Tony Kornheiser is brought up. Other variations include Tony Kornheiser and the word “Why” in Obama red, white and blue form, as well as other images having someone’s face replaced with Tony Kornheiser’s and the word “Why” replacing anything that sounds like “Why” (for example, a picture of the front cover of Twilight having Tony Kornheiser’s face replacing the apple and “Why” replacing the “wi” in “Twilight”).

So I read that UFC has signed a contract with FOX. Friday Nights will now have UFC fights being aired. That, and now MNF startings up, I think the WWE ratings are set to go to an all-time low.

Droford 08-18-2011 08:42 PM

I wonder what Spiketv will do since they lost the UFC..maybe..MORE TNA?

lol

saw this too

SYFY PRESENTS FIRST EVER LIVE WWE® SMACKDOWN® SPECIAL ON TUESDAY, AUGUST 30 AT 8PM/ET
NEW YORK – August 18, 2011 – Syfy and WWE announced today its first ever WWE Smackdown? live special, "SuperSmackdown Live," on Tuesday, August 30 at 8-10PM/ET on Syfy, originating from the INTRUST Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas.
I seem to remember there was a live on Tuesday Smackdown back when it was "WWE Week"

MNF doesn't demolish RAW, really. They've ALWAYS had them as a competitor, and have always fared pretty well. Yes, the ratings go down a bit, but not by what you're suggesting.

Partial Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter

– Kevin Nash reportedly tried returning to WWE TV without dying his hair black but officials insisted that he dye it black because they wanted him to look younger. Nash tried to get out of it but WWE wouldn’t budge. It’s said that Nash prefers his gray hair and when he was in TNA, people pushed for him to dye it but he wouldn’t.
This I can call bullshit on. The silver-hair thing was back years ago. But Nash himself said he decided to go dye it black way back at the Rumble. And he's kept it dark ever since, at indy appearances and whatnot

CSL 08-18-2011 09:41 PM

I could believe that, Nash has said publicly that it was Vince who told him to dye his hair before the Rumble appearance

I Love how the WWE expects their fans to not be intelligent and remember peoples first runs under a different name

Shisen Kopf 08-18-2011 11:52 PM

No shit? I didn't know that at all until you posted that.WOW!! Next thing you know, you'll be saying crazy stuff like Nash had a different ring name years ago.

screech 08-19-2011 12:17 AM

I remember reading that Nash was due to come back to WWE a few years ago but he didn't want to dye his hair.

Also that his wife didn't want him to dye his hair.

screech 08-19-2011 12:24 AM

I love how you are just coming to this realization now.

screech 08-19-2011 12:24 AM

And expect us to be shocked by this news.

From PWInsider:

According to WWE sources, Kevin Nash was pulled from his Canadian independent dates as the company needed him to go to Pittsburgh to take all the medical exams necessary for WWE to allow a talent to be cleared to physically compete.

Looks like old Weak Quads is getting Punk in a match. Joy....

Punk attempting a GTS on Nash.....I got a bad feeling about this.

Xero 08-19-2011 10:44 AM

The entire match should be Punk working Nash's knees so Nash doesn't even have to walk 90% of the match.

Rammsteinmad 08-19-2011 10:52 AM

So really Xero, Punk can just sit back and watch?
