NXT already won 850,000-0
|
I think AEW should do better than NXT. They should get their 600k diehards. The floaters will probably check it out. Then they might be able to snag a few people from the NBA.
|
|
Guessing we won't know AEW's number until Monday
SD - 2.17 million RAW - 1.64 million NXT - 853k |
Bray and Braun were/are horrible.

This is higher than I thought Dynamite would do on a Saturday

Wow, NXT crushes AEW
R.I.P |
I'm more shocked they damn near matched UFC.
|
You know who matched UFC: NXT
|
Damn Nascar gets a lot more eyes than I thought.

Big increase for post SummerSlam episode of RAW
2.03 million (last week was 1.64 million) https://i.postimg.cc/CLWCvnLx/raw.png |
The AEW rating is fine. What you’d expect. Probably good they didn’t do much better than what they normally would. Might encourage TNT to move it.
|
Raw killed it, compared to the shit rating it usually does. But no one will talk about that. The sky is still falling, etc.
|
|
Eh, pretty much in that same range. This stuff clearly has a ceiling.
|
Been saying that for a year. A niche audience of a niche audience.
|
Not too bad for airing on a Thursday - 813k for Dynamite this week

NXT with the win!
|
Look at the 50+ number for Fox News and Hannity
|
Yes, because old people are the only ones who watch cable news anymore. Younger people don’t trust that and look at their phones. AEW doesn’t lose viewers because of the news. The news might get a bump, but it is from people who wouldn’t be caught dead watching AEW.
And I’m sure those news programs do fine with advertisers too. |

Big Dog brings the ratings to SD
2.180 million https://i.postimg.cc/0NBCT0kB/Fast-D...Aug-28-FRI.png |
It’s basically the same number as last week.
|
|
Still so much more popular than AEW, haha. So much for that changing the world thing, hey?
|
Maybe this has already been answered - I may have even asked it - but when do they factor in DVR and/or streaming numbers for weekly show ratings? Is that a thing they do? (It has to be, right?)
|
They do, the +3 and +7 days are added I believe. Meltzer and Wade Keller will mention them.
WWE usually ads about 100 - 200k viewers to a show IIRC with DVR. AEW usually ads about 300k with DVR. Wade Keller has said before AEW almost always hits a million viewers after DVR is added. |
Nice. I figured that would factor in somehow. I'm sure it also has a little bearing at least on the TV deals.

I foresee a permanent move to Tuesday nights in NXT's possible future
849k https://i.postimg.cc/13Dnr0QL/nxt.png |
I could see that too. Noid idk why you are hating on the 800k range rating, the shows are usually always in the top 5 so who cares if it's a niche of a niche. WWF was like that for years. If AEW and NXT can hover around 800k and stay in the top 5, then they have be considered a success. You gain so much glee in the multiple times you've emphasized that AEW is still drawing lower ratings than WWE. I don't know if you've noticed but most of the posters who watch AEW every week either talk about WWE as well or not at all. The feud is coming from you and it's one sided.
|
Good week for AEW - 928k
Honestly, it would be best for WWE and AEW if the shows were on different nights. It's certainly best for fans. https://i.postimg.cc/FzDhPpNx/aew.png |
NXT replay on SyFy came in at 125 w/ 183k viewers, which I consider good for a replay on a less popular cable channel.

Gotta give it to them, AEW spins everything at an Elite level. |
... You realize those two things would not contradict each other, right?

After all the times AEW played the sympathy strings, don't watch NXT they are just there to hurt us, AEW should just be happy the audience would no longer be split. It's what they have been whining about all the way back to the first Fight for the Fallen when Kenny Omega had a meltdown that WWE was going to air an Evolve show on the Network. But they already have roster members popping off at the mouth about nothing but speculation, celebrating and bragging. If they really want to be unopposed they should at least wait until NXT has officially changed nights. Vince McMahon is a vindictive bastard, maybe AEW should just take the win instead of acting like jackasses already. |
Haha this guys nuts.
