Battle: LA - 6.5/10

Heh. It was pretty decent for a no-brain action film. The cast were all good even if the characters they played didn't have much, well, character. The friends I went to see it with didn't like it...they did however like Transformers 2 and The Expendables. I fail to see a massive difference between all 3 of these films.

10/10.

this movie being an Inception Alice in Wonderland with machine guns and sword plus ala Sailor Moon style outfit.. Yes, IT'S FUCKING TRUE...
Other than that, there's lots of Burlesque style costumes and eye candy TITS N ASSES.

Despite being a regular 2-D movie, the slow mo action is more of a 3-D Sucker Punched move. Intended pun.

I'm surprised Vanessa Hudgens was in this.. Good for her. For some reason, I like her on this one instead of the sweet goody 2 shoes high school musical character. Probably deserved to move on to "daring" roles like this.

Pay attention to the clues based on the trailer: Key, Knife, Map, Fire and the 5th one. What is the 5th one? I won't tell. GO FUCKING SEE IT.

THIS.WAS.AWESOME BEYOND.. there's lots of robots in this movie after all. You won't be disappointed.. From giant robot Samurais with giant bazookas, to Nazi zombies and the Nazi general looked like Freddy Krueger without the claws and pedora hat!!!!

10/10... ZACK SYNDER IS WINNING AGAIN!!

Major bonus for this movie: Soundtrack of Bjork's Army of Me is played in most action scenes just like the trailer.

P.S. How did they achieve these wild imaginations alternate reality? Well, I'll let you pay attention to the female psychiatrist
SPOILER: show
and her secret to all this is: MUSIC AND DANCE THEATRICS.

There's even a HUUUUUUUUUUUGE BLACK SWAN BALLET DANCE REHEARSALS MINUS THE TOFUS. They're wearing 50's style lingerie and panties stuff. OMNOMNOMNOM

P.S.S. The blonde heroine Baby Doll is Emily Browning aka the same little girl appeared on Jim Carrey's Lemony Snicket's Series of Unfortunate Events. She's a total fuckable hottie on this.

XL 03-25-2011 05:27 PM

Sucker Punch 2.5/10

Honesty don't know where to start thoughts into words that are recognizable here. Neither did Zack Snyder apparently. This piece of shit gave me indigestion from the introduction. I took off my glasses so I could collect myself 10 minutes before this creature ended. Only positive feature is tremendous action scenes featuring tanned breasts. Script has a total of 18 lines of dialog that seem written for a different movie by line 15. I don't know what is god damn forget it

Raven Reaper 03-26-2011 03:53 AM

I disagree. Sucker Punch >>>>>>>>>> This movie.

http://spartanphoenix.files.wordpres...riors-way2.jpg

Now this has worse plot points. 5/10.

Main theme: Cowboys vs. Ninjas (aka The Saddest Flutes) Weird ninja group name.

Well, there's one disturbing scene where the main hero ninja had a flashback on his childhood that included killing a shi tzu dog using his sword!!! I'm serious.. And the bad-guy is his own mentor telling him to destroy all that he loves...

A few gory moments here and there.. But if Zack Snyder had directed this movie, It could've been better with cowgirls vs female ninjas.. That'll be a REAL SUCKER PUNCH sequel then. :p

P.S. Is it any wonder why Geoffrey Rush never won an Oscar these days.

Cabin Fever Two

Confusing because there was no cabin or no fever. Just a raging case of puking blood. Anywho, as a gore/gross out flick it was good. As a sequel it sucked.

5/10 is more than fair.

Sucker Punch: 3/10

Zack Snyder has good ideas. Unfortunately, instead of fleshing them out, he decides to stuff them all together into the same movie, and adds a pointless brothel thing and a forgettable "reality" for good measure. The action set-pieces could have been movies all their own if Snyder had took the time to flesh them out, and I would have paid money to see them.

God I hate Jennifer Anniston, but I loved seeing her ass and big cleavageness in this movie. There were some funny pieces of dialogue, mostly between the three brothers, but that's about it. Never have I cried sooo much throughout this movie... :( Very rare for a low budget film that portrays a psycho bitch mom killing her children in graphic mode.. This is my ultimate nominee for most disturbing movie since The Children (Brit horror of psycho infected children killing parents.)

Didn't know this was another "True story based scenario" on that notorious mom Andrea Yates who drowned her children in 2001. Although it's not much accurate of what happened in the movie..

Yes, this is like 2008's The Hand That Rocks the Cradle redux only more sick and twisted. They even showed one scene where mom even kills a pet dog of her child and pigs too!!

Go see this. Man, I need more tissue boxes.. The ending was just heart breaking.. :(

Practically zero plot line and Cate Blanchett had the worse southern accent going.

Writers should have watched some of the Bourne movies and take some pointers from them.

PorkSoda 04-13-2011 01:43 PM

Hanna - 3/10.

I agree. Two problems I had with this movie was the pacing, and the magician movements Hanna made at times. One second she's underneath the bed and literally a half second later she's clinging to the top of the bed....how'd she do that? What's she holding on to? How'd she do that so quickly? It happened in the beginning of the movie as well with a truck. There also a few "What just happened" moments that I didn't understand.....like at the end....

Woody Allen. Some parts were so good but some parts were so bad

This movie is on the same awesomeness level as Spit on your Grave original. Minus the 40 minute prolonged rape scenes. Only this time, she shoots any fucking guy who simply annoys her with their sexual innuendos.

Best part: Halloween Party costume as a nun shooting every guy except women!!! And of course the alleyway where she was surrounded by 5 thugs circling her and BANNNG BANG!! Wild West shootout.. All of them fucking dead.

And this movie is not to be confused with Milla Jovovich's .45 movie.. The plot is different yet similar about vengeful women... Haven't seen Milla's .45 movie version though.

The scenes like chopping male body parts and keeping them in frige was just sick. Even worse she even makes meat grinder on them and feeds it to the landlady's dog. Priceless scene..

10/10.

P.S. Too bad, Zoe Lund died in 1999. She's fucking too hot to die young. :(

Holy fuck, you mean someone actually watched this? And a fucking Socialist at that? Good Lord this movie was boring. I found the actors to be terrible, and their characters to be pieces of shit. A. Ayn Rand had no fucking clue how business works.
B. Ayn Rand had no fucking clue how the government works.

Never saw the original, but the included trailer for the original looked a bit more interesting than what was to come later on. The Sheriff being a bad guy was blatant, the rape scene wasnt as disturbing as I was expecting, and the fact that she goes AWOL for a month and then comes back as the Jigsaw Killer's next protege just doesnt do anything for me. The special effects werent that great either (looking at you, stupid CGI crows).
