Unstoppable - 60
|
Battle: LA - 6.5/10
Heh. It was pretty decent for a no-brain action film. The cast were all good even if the characters they played didn't have much, well, character. The friends I went to see it with didn't like it...they did however like Transformers 2 and The Expendables. I fail to see a massive difference between all 3 of these films. |
The Tourist - 64
Not as bad as everyone says |
Watched all 6 eps of Walking Dead tonight - 8
|
The Lincoln Lawyer - 3.5/5
Felt like a 2-hour TV pilot. But it was still good. |
Inception - 9/10
would have liked to see more Tom Hardy |
The Devil's Miner - 73
Finally finished it. Depressing |
Unstoppable 9
|
Another Year- As depressing as life itself. Mike Leigh is the best. 8.5/10

10/10. this movie being an Inception Alice in Wonderland with machine guns and sword plus ala Sailor Moon style outfit.. Yes, IT'S FUCKING TRUE... Other than that, there's lots of Burlesque style costumes and eye candy TITS N ASSES. Despite being a regular 2-D movie, the slow mo action is more of a 3-D Sucker Punched move. Intended pun. I'm surprised Vanessa Hudgens was in this.. Good for her. For some reason, I like her on this one instead of the sweet goody 2 shoes high school musical character. Probably deserved to move on to "daring" roles like this. Pay attention to the clues based on the trailer: Key, Knife, Map, Fire and the 5th one. What is the 5th one? I won't tell. GO FUCKING SEE IT. THIS.WAS.AWESOME BEYOND.. there's lots of robots in this movie after all. You won't be disappointed.. From giant robot Samurais with giant bazookas, to Nazi zombies and the Nazi general looked like Freddy Krueger without the claws and pedora hat!!!! 10/10... ZACK SYNDER IS WINNING AGAIN!! Major bonus for this movie: Soundtrack of Bjork's Army of Me is played in most action scenes just like the trailer. P.S. How did they achieve these wild imaginations alternate reality? Well, I'll let you pay attention to the female psychiatrist SPOILER: show There's even a HUUUUUUUUUUUGE BLACK SWAN BALLET DANCE REHEARSALS MINUS THE TOFUS. They're wearing 50's style lingerie and panties stuff. OMNOMNOMNOM P.S.S. The blonde heroine Baby Doll is Emily Browning aka the same little girl appeared on Jim Carrey's Lemony Snicket's Series of Unfortunate Events. She's a total fuckable hottie on this. |
I hate your writing style btw.
|
Sucker Punch 2.5/10
Honesty don't know where to start thoughts into words that are recognizable here. Neither did Zack Snyder apparently. This piece of shit gave me indigestion from the introduction. I took off my glasses so I could collect myself 10 minutes before this creature ended. Only positive feature is tremendous action scenes featuring tanned breasts. Script has a total of 18 lines of dialog that seem written for a different movie by line 15. I don't know what is god damn forget it |
I disagree. Sucker Punch >>>>>>>>>> This movie.
http://spartanphoenix.files.wordpres...riors-way2.jpg Now this has worse plot points. 5/10. Main theme: Cowboys vs. Ninjas (aka The Saddest Flutes) Weird ninja group name. Well, there's one disturbing scene where the main hero ninja had a flashback on his childhood that included killing a shi tzu dog using his sword!!! I'm serious.. And the bad-guy is his own mentor telling him to destroy all that he loves... A few gory moments here and there.. But if Zack Snyder had directed this movie, It could've been better with cowgirls vs female ninjas.. That'll be a REAL SUCKER PUNCH sequel then. :p P.S. Is it any wonder why Geoffrey Rush never won an Oscar these days. |

Last Action Hero - 8/10. This was like a cartoon....only with Arnold in it. Humor and action....funny as hell.

The Chaperone - 6.5/10 Not horrible. |
Cabin Fever Two
Confusing because there was no cabin or no fever. Just a raging case of puking blood. Anywho, as a gore/gross out flick it was good. As a sequel it sucked. 5/10 is more than fair. |
Skyline - 27
Terrible special effects. Ending would have been better suited for a video game. |
The Fighter 9/10
Worth a watch. |
Get Him to the Greek 8/10
Did what it was supposed to. Kept me entertained, and gave me quite a few laughs. |

Pulp Fiction and a Karate Kid reference....interesting.... |

|
Green Hornet - 6/10
Little Fockers - Holy shit/Make it stop |
Sucker Punch: 3/10
Zack Snyder has good ideas. Unfortunately, instead of fleshing them out, he decides to stuff them all together into the same movie, and adds a pointless brothel thing and a forgettable "reality" for good measure. The action set-pieces could have been movies all their own if Snyder had took the time to flesh them out, and I would have paid money to see them. |
|
"The Break-Up": 4/10
God I hate Jennifer Anniston, but I loved seeing her ass and big cleavageness in this movie. There were some funny pieces of dialogue, mostly between the three brothers, but that's about it. Wouldn't have ever watched this if my girlfriend hadn't wanted to see it, and will probably never watch or think about it again. |
Timecop - 4/10
Showdown in Little Tokyo - To Be Determined. I was watching it on Netflix and I was half asleep, then I fell asleep, so I'm going to rewatch the parts that I missed. I don't really like Dolph Lundgren as a good guy, and damn about Brandon Lee. That guy had so much potential. |
Hall Pass - 70
|
Basket Case- 6 out of 10
Interesting cult horror film. Perhaps it hasn't aged well but I just couldn't get into the stop motion crap. Interesting story. Would be good for a re-make I think. Very Lovecraftian theme of the dangers of science. |
Mall Cop 6,5/10
Fairly funny, just cause it was 90 or so minutes of a fat guy with a moustache riding a segway. |

9/10. First time I saw this, I couldn't make any sense of the whole movie. But after a few times of watching it over and over, Deja Vu is the only understanding and theories I have that happened in this movie.. THis is even better than the confused mind twisting shit from LOST. :P |
A few viewings? :nono:
|
Mother - Crazy, pulpy Korean movie with lots of twists. About a dumbass kid who is charged with murder and his mother who wants to find the real killer. Kinda reminded me of Oldboy. 8/10
|
http://www.dreadcentral.com/img/reviews/adhf3fwb.jpg
Ala the Happening style. Only better. :p 8/10. The cause of the suicides, SPOILER: show http://film-izleyin.org/resimler/bebekmavisi.jpg 9/10. Never have I cried sooo much throughout this movie... :( Very rare for a low budget film that portrays a psycho bitch mom killing her children in graphic mode.. This is my ultimate nominee for most disturbing movie since The Children (Brit horror of psycho infected children killing parents.) Didn't know this was another "True story based scenario" on that notorious mom Andrea Yates who drowned her children in 2001. Although it's not much accurate of what happened in the movie.. Yes, this is like 2008's The Hand That Rocks the Cradle redux only more sick and twisted. They even showed one scene where mom even kills a pet dog of her child and pigs too!! Go see this. Man, I need more tissue boxes.. The ending was just heart breaking.. :( <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/jxpc7SD_klQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |

8/10. Still enjoyed it... This could've been a Heroes TV movie instead. |
Dijimon Mustard is in that movie Push!
I am overdue for watching a movie and I NEED to watch one, I'm getting very movie hungry. Bicentennial Man, Being John Malkovich, The Adjustment Bureau, and Source Code are all on deck. |
Saw- The Final Chapter..7 out of 10.
I am a sucker for Saw movies. I have seen all and enjoyed all. There has been some that were pretty bad but others were better. I really enjoyed the "evil" detective mad with power. A decent ending to the franchise. |
Commando - 17/10. Fucking badass. They don't make movies like this anymore.
Blade Runner - 3/10? I got extremely bored with this halfway through, kind of don't want to watch the rest..... |
Hobo With A Shotgun 8.5/10
Solid fun movie. Was entertained entire time, highly recommend it if anything about it sounds interesting to you. Certainly not for everyone, but if it's for you you'll love it. |
Hanna 7/10
I liked it, but I thought it was going to be way better. |
Sucker Punch - 0/10
|
Due Date - 7/10
I laughed consistently but Downey Jr. made it hard to feel the same agony I felt for Steve Martin in this Planes Trains and Automobiles modernized film. This is my favorite Zack G. performance to date. |
Your Highness
7/10. Amused me well enough. |
Top Gun and Airplane - 7/10 and 8/10.
|
John Q - 7/10
|
Take Me Home Tonight - 7/10
True Grit - 8/10 |
Donnie Brasko - 8.5/10
|
Father Of the Bride - 4/10. This was boring
|
Hanna - 1.5/5
Ugh. |
I was just about to go see that.
Why's it a "ugh"? |
Quote:
Writers should have watched some of the Bourne movies and take some pointers from them. |
Hanna - 3/10.
I agree. Two problems I had with this movie was the pacing, and the magician movements Hanna made at times. One second she's underneath the bed and literally a half second later she's clinging to the top of the bed....how'd she do that? What's she holding on to? How'd she do that so quickly? It happened in the beginning of the movie as well with a truck. There also a few "What just happened" moments that I didn't understand.....like at the end.... |
Midnight Cowboy - 8/10
Really good Andy Warhol: A Documentary - 7/10 The people they had talking about his "work" were the worst but v good stuff. 4 hours of Andy Warhol LennonNYC - 7/10 Documentary about John Lennon's time in NY in the 70s. Was good I guess. Sketches of Frank Gehry - 6/10 Documentary about that architect who makes really weird buildings. Kinda inadvertently made him seem bad, I think, like he just came up with vague ideas and this huge team of people would go out and make it happen. Interesting. Love and Death - 6/10 Woody Allen. Some parts were so good but some parts were so bad New York Stories - 5/10 3 shorts. Woody Allen's was really good. Scorsese's was OK. Francis Ford Coppola's was like unwatchable New York, I Love You - 1/10 God this is one of the worst movies I have ever seen my god |
Splatter Disco - 1/10
Awful, with too many musical numbers. |
Faster Pussycat Kill Kill -8/10..
Reason why I watched this is cos someone said Tarantino's Death Proof was a homage to this old movie... I liked it. Similar plotline: 3 women beating up guys except they're the bitchy villains on this one. Hehe. |
Woodchipper Massacre - 1/10
Terrible overacting, cliched characters, and atrocious soundtrack. Plus, fifteen minutes of cars backing out of driveways. |
Little Fockers 7/10
|
Source Code: 9/10
Highly unbelievable and preposterous, but really exciting. Highly recommend it. |
<iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/GObRvQexOmI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
This movie is on the same awesomeness level as Spit on your Grave original. Minus the 40 minute prolonged rape scenes. Only this time, she shoots any fucking guy who simply annoys her with their sexual innuendos. Best part: Halloween Party costume as a nun shooting every guy except women!!! And of course the alleyway where she was surrounded by 5 thugs circling her and BANNNG BANG!! Wild West shootout.. All of them fucking dead. And this movie is not to be confused with Milla Jovovich's .45 movie.. The plot is different yet similar about vengeful women... Haven't seen Milla's .45 movie version though. The scenes like chopping male body parts and keeping them in frige was just sick. Even worse she even makes meat grinder on them and feeds it to the landlady's dog. Priceless scene.. 10/10. P.S. Too bad, Zoe Lund died in 1999. She's fucking too hot to die young. :( |
You have really poor taste in movies/an odd fasination with women who kill men.
|
Troll - 3/10
Rather boring, but at least the puppets were amusing. |
Take Me Home Tonight - 8/10 My 80s bias inflates that a bit. Oh well.
Skyline - 2/10 My roommate forced me to sit through this crapola. I felt stupid for watching it, but I'm thinking he felt more stupid for spending $15 on it. |
Troll 2 - 2/10
Among the worst dialogue I've ever heard, but that actually makes it somewhat comical. |
Troll 2? OH MY GOOOOOOD!
|
Max Payne - 3 out of 5.
A lot of :wtf: moments when compared to the game's story but not completely horrible. Might have been a better film if it was a completely new film and didn't half-ass the Max Payne stuff. |
The Seekers - 1/10
Boring pile of worthless crap, with no redeeming qualities. |
Source Code - 6/10
|
I Stand Alone - 8/10
So bleak. By Gaspar Noe (Enter the Void, Irreversible). Pretty much just a movie about a guy who is really fucked and gets released from prison and tries to restart his life but everything is fucked |
Armored - 3/10.
This movie should have been called "People Banging On A Steel Pipe Trying To Open An Armored Truck With A Scared And Wounded Cop Inside." Seriously. Although I was really impressed with Columbus Short's acting ability, the whole thing was flat out boring. |
Atlas Shrugged Part I: 1/10
Holy fuck, you mean someone actually watched this? And a fucking Socialist at that? Good Lord this movie was boring. The only people I found myself feeling anything for were the token homeless people the main characters were walking past in various scenes, and they weren't given any major roles. I found the actors to be terrible, and their characters to be pieces of shit. I walked out near the end, because my bullshit meter had just exploded over the whole "Government is only gonna allow you to make a certain amount of steel and we're gonna tax the fuck out of Colorado" part. From this whole part, I was came to the following conclusions: A. Ayn Rand had no fucking clue how business works. B. Ayn Rand had no fucking clue how the government works. C. Ayn Rand had no fucking clue how REALITY works. Seriously, if I had a dollar for every time I thought one of the above during the parts of the movie I saw (I ended up leaving about 5-10 minutes early), I would have been able to fund three different John Galt lines. Also, did I just zone out and miss the part where Taggart Transportation International (or whatever the fucking train company was called) got a huge bailout from the government? |
Can't believe anyone watched it, much less a socialist.

4/10. G rated version of Single White Female 2011. Minus extremely high body counts... |
The Invention of Lying - 78
|
Get Low - 76
Great cast/acting |
King's Speech 8.5/10
Great movie, but it wasn't anywhere near the level of awesomeness that was The Social Network. |
Quote:
Anyway.. I Spit on Your Grave Remake - 6/10 Never saw the original, but the included trailer for the original looked a bit more interesting than what was to come later on. The Sheriff being a bad guy was blatant, the rape scene wasnt as disturbing as I was expecting, and the fact that she goes AWOL for a month and then comes back as the Jigsaw Killer's next protege just doesnt do anything for me. The special effects werent that great either (looking at you, stupid CGI crows). |
How Do You Know - 37

Hall Pass - 4.5/10
|
Kiss Of The Dragon - 3/10
Boondock Saints - 7/10 |
King Kong vs Godzilla - 3/10
