Most people never clear their "backlog". Just play what you have fun with dude!

Rocket League is still fun, they've added lots.

Sepholio 10-22-2020 05:29 PM

Yeah I gave up entirely on my backlog. Never gonna get around to 95% of it.

Curtis 10-22-2020 06:05 PM

Working on my backlog,

Took Amid Evil, Dusk and Fallout 3 (yes 3) from the backlog.

Unlike all the NPCs here talking bout how they cant handle their backlog...

Fignuts 10-24-2020 03:58 AM

Started the new Doom Eternal DLC and holy fucking balls, they are not screwing around. They throw every demon left in hell at you right from the start. I guess it comes with 3 new missions. It doesn't sound like a lot, but they are loooooooooong. I only did the first mission, but if the other two have just as much content, then it's well worth the $20 asking price.

Ruien 10-25-2020 04:06 PM

Play FF1. Forgot how hard NES games are. Barely any direction to go off of. I stumble into random areas hoping it is the right place.

Helmsphere 10-25-2020 04:30 PM

Hitting my backlog of Kakarot. Just met Cell for the first time.

Fignuts 10-25-2020 05:16 PM

And finished. Holy fucking god, that was exhausting. I was literally sweating from playing this Doom dlc. wtf

Savio 10-26-2020 11:46 AM

Debating on whether I should get the Mrs into undertale.

Fignuts 10-26-2020 04:38 PM

Do it.

Fignuts 10-26-2020 04:39 PM

Just don't be that guy that tells someone how they should play it. Let her discover everything on her own.

Def not, she played a bit of deltarune and didn't finish it so my biggest concern is this doesn't get finished either. Undertale's story and play style is more interesting though so I dunno.

teamXtremist 10-29-2020 03:56 PM

Finally went back to RDR2, but on PC this time. Think I'm finally in the mood for a slow burn game like this. Been playing for a few days now and am enjoying it way more than I did at launch.

teamXtremist 10-29-2020 03:58 PM

I just saw where they released No More Heroes on Switch. It's been about 10 years since I played it on the Wii but it's fantastic. Especially when playing with the separate controllers and using the motion controls.

RP 10-29-2020 03:59 PM

I'm back on Hollow Knight today but i saw that No More Heroes stuff and i've never played them and i'm very interested.

Been a while since I played both games but had more fun playing the first No More Heroes game than the second one.

Both games were very entertaining on their own with the second game benefiting a lot from cleaner graphics and a lot less padding because the jobs system no longer acted as a constant gate for progress. The second one does have issues when it comes to the platforming sections due to its janky controls.

In terms of boss fights, found them to be more enjoyable and memorable with the first game.

Well, beat FF1. Had to use a guide a couple times. Not because I was really lost but the random encounter rate makes you want to throw your controller.

Doesn't look bad at all really....... Not great.... but not shit either.

Fignuts 11-04-2020 04:07 AM

Yeah, that game was meant to be the next Skylanders. The idea being you buy the ships and weapon pieces and they show up in game. Though I don't think you actually need to buy any of the ship toys to unlock them in game.

I was actually kind of pumped for it after Star Fox Zero left me disappointed. But I never got around to it.

Seems like a chore. The voice acting and graphics seem underwhelming.

OssMan 11-04-2020 09:14 PM

Ff15. The characters suck and the story sucks but the world is kind of cool so I'm making up my own story and calling it YouTuber Fantasy 15

Sepholio 11-04-2020 10:09 PM

Yeah the story is ok at best, erring on the side of lame. Prompto is the only endearing party member imo because he's more emotive and less brooding. The world is pretty sweet though and there are def some cool parts and difficult challenges. Really seemed like an incomplete game to me though, like they wanted a lot more out of it. Never played the DLC so I guess maybe it got a more complete feel from that. I dunno. Rambling.

Watchdogs Legion is pretty fun so far. i'm getting used to the idea of having multiple operatives to use and have enjoyed giving each their own style tbh. biggest gripe thus far is the weapon system, really annyoing that you can't just buy/print weapons like in the first two and can only use the non-leathal pistol/shotgun/nade launcher if you are using an operative that doesnt have their own weapon already. but really like the cargo drone mechanic they added

OssMan 11-09-2020 08:37 AM

Games I've beaten in 2020:

Luigi's Mansion
Final Fantasy 7 Remake
The Last of Us Part II
Death Stranding
Celeste
Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus
Rule of Rose
Final Fantasy XV

Wow, two final fantasy games in a year. Hadn't played through a new one since 2010 really. Everything seems to be living in the shadow of 13, which is not good

Sepholio 11-09-2020 11:50 AM

Celeste. Kinda hard.

teamXtremist 11-09-2020 01:54 PM

i've enjoyed the driving but London isn't as easy to traverse at fast speeds like Chicago/SF were in the last two. i also really do not like that they got rid of a lot of the environment hacking mechanics. hacking a stoplight and making all the traffic crash into each other is sorely missed here

Playing Days Gone .... good story so far.

Fignuts 11-11-2020 01:26 AM

Jumping back into Destiny again for the new expansion.

Now that the new consoles are out, I'm going to go ahead and say Destiny 2 is the best shooter of this last generation. It stumbled at times, but that had everything to do with it's status as a live service and how they handled that early on. Gameplay wise, I can't think of anything else that had gunplay that felt this good, combined with so many guns. And then there is the incredible art design. The weapons, armor, enemies, and worlds are all fantastic.

drave 11-11-2020 07:48 AM

I have been pulled back in there as well. Started it back up last night, it's definitely changed. Felt great.

EA Play also added Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order and Gamepass added Gears Tactics. All great games so far, right when things were starting to feel stale.

El Vaquero de Infierno 11-11-2020 08:39 AM

I'm currently playing Ghost Recon: Wildlands. I've had it for a few years but never really played it; it is the usual Ubisoft fare.

rez 11-12-2020 10:51 PM

AC Valhalla..kinda tough in the beginning hours since you're so limited with attacks and health. Maybe that was just me not going around and upgrading my equipment with raw materials.

rez 11-12-2020 11:03 PM

So far I don't think it's as good as AC:O...combat is kinda clunky and don't like the way you gain health back.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales

For a game being billed as "DLC" there's alot going on here. Definitely worth grabbing if you enjoyed the first Spider-Man and if you're looking to save a few bucks on a starter game for the PS5.

I just can't be the good guy in Rockstar games, they incentivize you so much to be a maniac. LOL killing people so you can round out your card collection.

ClockShot 11-21-2020 06:35 AM

I'm rolling out as a female. Just like I did in Odyssey.

Tom Guycott 11-21-2020 06:38 AM

Not a game per se, but I'm about to connect and try out Stadia.

Google is literally giving these things away now. I got mine from a promo I saw last week for being a YouTube Premium subscriber (I never canceled because I really like not having fucking commercials, especially now with the recent widely unwanted midroll advert addition where creators who opted out still get commercials mid vid unless they manually change each individual upload). Now, there's a promo for buying Cyberpunk 2077 and getting this thing.

Saw a FB post where a guy sarcastically stated that he'd get one "when they give them away in cereal boxes". I remarked that they prob'ly just gave Google's marketing team an idea. So, expect it in the Christmas edition of Booty-Os.

*addendum: I had no interest in buying one... however, free is free. Shipping and all.

Unless it has something to do with the voice acting, what gender is the eventual canon character, or something miniscule like general fan preference, to each their own.

Meh. Decided to say fuck it and blast through Spider-Man: Miles Morales' New Game+ and get the platinum today.

I'm dreading that the future M.O. for gaming in this new generation is making you play New Game+ just to get that last trophy/points for 100%. It's just a waste of time unless you know you need to play the game again for other reasons such as different style of gameplay, outcome, etc.

Probably. It *is* Google. They lose interest in things faster than Vince McMahon loses intrests in his own stupid gimmick characters.

I will say that if I didn't already have a FireTV that I bought years ago, or if I had need of another TV, the Chromecast Ultra would likely get copious use. But, as it stands, the three HDMI slots on my TV are already filled, and having this on rotation/as a replacement for something else there is not likely to happen on the regular.

From the stuff I was able to play (I'm guessing the PRO "claimed" thing is like the XBL Games With Gold), I tried a quick round of Bomberman R, a couple rounds of Dead By Daylight (which says it's connecting via crossplay, but there isn't really any way to deliniate where the crossplayers are coming from), and started the opening of Destiny 2 - which, unbeknownst to me, if you start a brand new game from scratch, the opening starts, well, at the beginning. I always figured it was like going from Division 1 to Division 2, but nope.

The controller's actually fairly nice, but I've been having trouble with the "screenshot" button, as it is right there by the menu button. I'm trying to pause and change my settings or something and instead, I take a pic. Another issue is some the interfaces. For example: ingame button tutorials not always easy to read, such as not being able to tell if the game wants you to push the (***) button, or L1/R1 or the thumbsticks... the prompts kinda all look alike and aren't distinct or color coded like on XB or PS. Hopefully, though, I can use this thing on Steam, so if Googs decide to tank this project, I can get some use out of it.

I say I got "my money's worth" out of it so far. Again, especially since I paid nothing.

lol I beat the stronkest enemy in the game in Valhalla. It was power level 400. I was like 136 lol. It is very easy to get really good at this game.

There are still a few really high level enemies that have whacked me though, usually due to them poisoning me or setting me on fire or being very hard to hit consistently with my weapon set up.

Having played most of the Silent Hill games, I've spent a lot of time thinking about what my own personal "silent hill" would be like. Despite being a horror game, I find the town of Silent Hill and its atmosphere to be pretty comfy.
I would, no lie, would love to just hang around Silent Hill in real life...just walk around a quiet desolate place, in a dreamlike haze, with elements of my subconscious nightmares...
Maybe that's what the afterlife is like, before you get "recycled" again.

I'm still really enjoying Stadia. There's a hater or two here but I have the bandwidth and the TVs to take advantage of it.

I was originally impressed with AC: O enough to purchase the last Doom and now the latest AC: Valhallla and preordered Cyberpunk.

The new stupid arguments are Xbox/PC versus PS versus Stadia(doubt the coding is much different than PC), versus Switch. There's Amazon and Steam in there somewhere too, I guess. People get so mad lol

Where I grew up was basically Silent Hill. It's economy pretty relies on tourism, it has a lake, it's small and isolated, and some of its citizens displayed cult-minded behavior. It's a piece of shit though, so I don't recommend it.

I swear to God I'm getting close to just giving up on Marvel's Avengers. Every other God damn fucking day it seems like it needs to download another God damn fucking update. DON'T RELEASE SOMETHING IF YOU'RE NOT FUCKING DONE WITH IT!!! I GIVE ZERO FUCKS ABOUT ITS ONLINE FEATURES!!!
