I just read about this on wrestlecrap, but I can't really find any good videos of this. Was that a real thing? How did that work? Did they zoom in on Hardy so we could hear his thoughts?

Part of the plan for tonight's RAW show got changed. May or may not be related to Undertaker's health concerns after last night's match.

Pretty much yeah, he would usually have an exchange with somebody backstage then the camera just lingered on his face while a monotone voice over played and he stared into the distance. He would nod occasionally in approval of his own thoughts. I'm pretty sure they even did at least one of these promos where the authority figure (Either Hogan or Bischoff) just sat at his desk in silence as Jeff did his internal monologue. No questions asked.
