1.59 million for RAW

At this point I think that’s just the reality of a 3hr show on Monday.
|
Ughh. I don’t really want to see WWE die. This is tough.
|
lol As soon as Monday Night Football is over they'll go right back up to where they were before it started and you all know it. This happens every year. They are competing for the same audience and football is a way bigger deal.
|
They def might want to reconsider the 3rd hour at some point though.
|
3rd hour was doomed once rasslin shows in general started doing their big angles earlier in the show. All the cool shit has already happened and the possibility of an overrun is gone. There is no reason to stay up to 11 anymore.
Very similar to the gripe I have of AEW blowing their load early more often than not. Especially when everything is announced in advance. When I know what you're doing and I know all the good stuff is over, I can tune out. |

By the time you get to the end of 3 hours, things have lost importance. But we’re like a decade in and USA wants that time. Dialing the show back would help numbers, but I don’t think either party really cares. WWE sells shorter versions of the show internationally (sometimes in edition to the live 3 hr version).
|
1.04 million for Dynamite
|
Oof.
|
Up!? Guess the backstage drama brings eyes to the show. Certainly wasn’t the lead in from last week’s episode.
|
It’s 2 more Nielsen boxes who tuned in this week because they felt bad about last week’s number.

Why social media policies in wrestling companies aren’t a norm is weird to me. |

Reminds me when I was a kid, my best friend's dad was a local wrestler for a decently big fed here (cant remember the name now). He had a few characters he'd play, but when he played his heel character, it was baaaaaaad. A few times, we had event security escort us to his car long before the show ended because of it. Wild, scary for a kid, but good god it was fun. This type of heat needs to happen more. The closest example of recent interactions would be Riddle & Rollins, which has been awesome. |
Did the football suck this week? If not, this Raw generated a bit of interest. 1.824 mil. DX was advertised, as was Seth/Lashley. Bray Wyatt’s return possibly garnered some buzz and Sami Zayn carried the day.
|
Rampage: 404k
Battle of the Belts: 317k |
1.82 for Raw.
Man, the ratings just keep going up and up! |
RAW against MNF did 5x the average of Rampage/BotB4 lol
|
It’s close though.

SmackDown only got 2.243 million. Compared to AEW’s 361k? I think it’s safe to say that AEW won where it matters.
|
2 months worth of ratings in 1 night haha
|
Its kinda ridiculous to think just how super easy it would be for AEW to boost Rampages ratings by treating it as importantly as Dynamite instead of it being the red headed b-show. Fuck off with the treating ROH as a different brand at this point and getting more TV slots, thats just laughable. If you want the branding, then stick it on Rampage, see if you can get 2 hours, and make it a better show with the big names attached to RoH and for gods sake MIRO, among others, and treat it seriously. Oh and maybe go live with it. Would also be good if they could somehow manage to move off of Friday and maybe get a 9-11 slot instead of 10-12 if they do get it to 2 hours.
I doubt it will give them some huge mega boost, but damn if it wouldn't get them up some. |
lol thinking back to how petty they were during the Monday night wars and how funny it would be if the SD announcers started reading the Rampage spoilers every week on air.
|
I’m not sure how salvageable Rampage is at this point. Even AEW fans aren’t biting. It’d be like WWE putting some decent stuff on Main Event.
|
I think their main issue is the shit time slot. I tend to watch Dynamite, even if I have no plans to because of the time it is on.
Rampage.... Friday at 10 - I'm most definitely doing other shit and forget about it. |
I like AEW and I skip rampage most weeks. If Jade or Hook are on I’ll catch the replay on the app but other than that I don’t care what happens on it. The time slot being the biggest issue. Sure they could elevate its importance with bigger matches and things of importance happening, but nobody will care with that time slot.
|
The time slot isn’t good, but that’s the time slot they command. Wrestling fans aren’t perceived to have social lives, so they can put Rampage on then and the idea is that virginal wrestling fans will follow it.
The show is bad and predictable though. There isn’t legitimate hunger for more AEW. It’s pretty safe as far as original programming goes, but when WBD figures out they can put reruns of Young Sheldon on then or that the 3 people who watch whatever else they put there are worth those 300k wrestling fans? We’ll see what happens then. |

Lol, holy shit.
|
SmackDown: 2.274 million
Rampage: 458k Another Friday Night War won by AEW. |
Dynamite: 752k
NXT: 676k Embarrassingly close. |
Tony Khan will be doing somersaults like this is the greatest upset in the history of sports.
|
Winning bigly, BAYBAY
|
LOL Dynamite down a quarter of their audience, Tiny Khan still snorts coke to celebrate beating NXT by 75,000 lol
|
Lmao millions and millions spent to beat Developmental by 75000
|
I think NXT could make a real run at AEW with only minimal changes.
|
AEW is displaced from their normal night, and Hunter stacks his show in a desperate bid to finally have NXT go over, yet he still manages to lose in the ratings. Another win for the good guys!

I would never. I hate shaving. Envious of neckbeards.

i just trimmed mine down last night and i feel like samson after his haircut

I usually do the Kurt Warner stubble with a clean neck look. End up with razor burn a lot on account of my baby-smooth skin. I always wonder why I bother.

i'm growing my winter wizard beard in but it needed a bit of shaping. but i also usually shave off the neckbeard during the warmer months. it's just not cool enough in this basement!

but anyway..... how about those ratings.....

The Good Brothers didn't mean shit to AEW. Them in NXT are magically Ultraover Uberstars. Does this mean that they succeed in an environment where they aren't allowed to fuck around needlessly and are booked to their abilities? Nah, Tony is BOOKER OF THE YEAR!

I think people would wonder if you were secretly in love with Punk based on your obsession and would call you and Noid lovers regardless of if you were the same sex or not.
You seem to focus on the gay aspect though. You a bit homophobic or…? |
I think I was the one who started it, but I wasn't even making a joke about homosexuality. I was baffled why someone would talk so much about someone they claim to hate, and the whole thing just reminded me of schoolgirl crushes.
All that said, if you can't handle a little ball busting, you're on the wrong forum. |
i'm honestly not even busting balls. i think noid and xrod are hella cute and i've been on the record about that for a while now.

Oh wow, the insecurity is strong with some folks. The nerves are real. But hey, the truth always comes out.
The homophobia is runnin’ wild. You can deny it was meant as such, but it’s not a good look regardless. Make an actual point. People have been criticizing WWE on here for 20+ years. It’s been totally fine to say it sucks. It’s fair play for AEW too. And if it didn’t suck, there would be better defenses for it, not just “Lol, xrod and Noid! Lol! What gay losers! As if you would!” Make a point or accept it is your balls in the vise. I noticed #1-aew-stan had disappeared for a bit. It was just as most people with common sense edged away from praising AEW. This is someone who needs the fair weather and has dared excuse people in the past of “needing allies.” Of course he doesn’t come back with a point. He comes back with a baseless attack to protect his precious. No one thought NXT would win, dude. They get 700k on a good Tuesday. It turns out AEW does too. That’s really rattled some people. |
Even displaced from their normal night, AEW shows tremendous YOY growth. Another win for the good guys!

Ummmm, LOL WHAT?!?
Bro I gotta give it to you, the skill to just completely try and throw any wild actuation out to distract from the actual discussion is beautiful. Seriously Fan, what makes you think calling out one person's lack of irony makes me transphobic? Is it because the person happens to be transgender? Was there any indication that I had a problem with Transgender people whatsoever? Was there any indication I had a problem with Nyla Rose based on anything other than her lack of irony? Don't be such a shitty person. |
…
Man, I am biting my tongue momentarily because I don’t want to get too far off-point before Noid gets the chance to respond to that. But holy fuck… |
He should call out transphobia if it occurs, but just because you want to pretend somebody is transphobic does not make it so.
|
Honestly, I wasn’t really concerned so much with pointing out transphobia. I was pointing out that Noid’s standards for that kind of shit change drastically depending on who says it for obvious reasons.
Then you went on to explain yourself… And how you weren’t calling a trans woman out for being trans… You were calling a trans woman out for “lacking irony” because she dared to mention the importance of possession despite possessing a penis and calling herself a woman… And then you ended it with telling me not to be a shitty person. If your goal was to take the attention off of your man, congrats. I’m now less interested in Noid’s moral inconsistency than I am in you explaining yourself. As many times as possible. |
