A couple of EA related news with the first being Syndicate will not have an Online Pass and a few details were revealed from the company's earnings confrence for the third quarter.

Synidcate will not be given an online pass due to the game being designed around cooperative play for both gameplay and online structure which has made EA unwilling to harm potential sales or reception by using the pass. EA also explained they only own publishing rights to the game and left the decision up to Starbreeze who decided against it. No actual funding was given by EA during the actual development of the game.

The majority of details given by EA during its phone conference mainly dealt with The Old Republic MMO game such as 300,000 users have dropped out of the game from a base of 2 million users. Their mobile division was able to become a $100 million per year revenue provider, the social games division will be ramped up and include 5 new games this year, and they are expecting at least $100 million in revenue to be generated from this year's FIFA Ultimate Team program.

Quote:

* Origin now has 9.3 million users.
* The Old Republic sold two million copies across retail, digital.
* TOR has 1.7 million active users, with 300,000 users having “opted out” (read: quit) or not started at all.
* A “majority” of the 1.7 million active users of TOR are paying subscribers.
* EA was reluctant to discuss the outlook of TOR, saying it had avoided the worst outcomes, the game was profitable, but that “there could be a wide range of outcomes.”
* There will be a “major update, larger than the first [one]” for TOR sometime in March.
* Pre-orders for Mass Effect 3 are currently ahead of where Mass Effect 2 during the same period.
* Battlefield 3 sold more than 11 million copies, and more downloadable content is coming.
* EA claims to have had 11% of the first-person-shooter “market” prior to Battlefield 3. Now, it claims to have 23%.
* Mobile games are a $100 million-per-year business for EA.
* The company expects to generate more than $100 million from FIFA Ultimate Team in the next year.
* A major social game, based on an unknown but existing EA property, has been delayed a few months.
* There will be five new Facebook games based on EA properties within the next year.
* When asked about copying in social games, Riccitiello said this: “Fast iteration and mimicry is something we have to guard against.”

One has the working title Outernauts, and is listed as the second joint venture between Resistance developer Insomniac and EA (the first being Overstrike).

The other is just called Populous. Populous of course being the world-altering God Game that got Fable creator Peter Molyneux his big break, which EA inherited when it bought Molyneux's old Bullfrog studio back in the 1990s.

With the marketing material in question having since been taken down, note that at this stage the information is unconfirmed.

I'm really hoping they do make a new Populous and I'm hoping it's like a mix of Populous: The Beginning and From Dust. Obviously, people are joking that it'll be like Syndicate and XCOM and be turned into an FPS.

Ubisoft will be transitioning and upgrading its servers on February 7 which will end up having a bad side effect of making a few of their DRM-enabled games become unplayable until the company creates a patch.

Also confirmed is all online multiplayer games regardless of their DRM status will also be unplayable due to the complete switch although the majority will only be down for at least a day.

The issue appears to affect mostly recent PC/Mac games they have released but no news was given if it affects older titles or if those were fixed in preparation for the switch.

Quote:

“Ubisoft will be transitioning the hosting of many of its online services from a third-party data center to a new facility,” said the company. “During the transition, some Ubisoft services and online games will not be available. We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience. This move ultimately will help us improve the maintenance of our infrastructure and deliver better uptime and greatly improved services for our customers.”
The biggest issue comes with Ubisoft not promising when the patches or fixes to update the DRM games will arrive. As well as the amount of time it will take to update all the servers due to Ubisoft themselves unsure of how long it will take.

The list of recent games confirmed to be unplayable:
Quote:

* Assassin’s Creed -- Mac
* Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X. 2 -- PC
* Might & Magic: Heroes VI -- PC
* Splinter Cell: Conviction -- Mac
* The Settlers 7: Paths to a Kingdom -- PC
* The Settlers -- Mac
The list of games confirmed to be playable:
Quote:

* Anno 2070 -- PC
* Assassin’s Creed: Revelations -- OnLive, PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360
* Driver: San Francisco -- OnLive, PC, PS3, 360
* The Settlers Online -- Web-based

Anybody get the Simpsons Arcade game yet?

Kalyx triaD 02-04-2012 12:12 AM

The trial. Probably all I need.

Drakul 02-04-2012 03:04 AM

Yeah, I've only got the trial. I'm in no rush to buy the full game. Got MGS HDC yesterday and I have SFxT next month which will last me most of the year, I'm sure.

Speaking of MGS HDC, I have an MGS3 question and it's not worth making a thread for. I had MGS3 for the PS2 when it first released but never got far enough to know one way or another.
I remember reading in a magazine that, as you play the game, Snakes beard grows and that you could shave it. Is that true?

It's a miniscule detail but I was curious.

Kalyx triaD 02-04-2012 03:18 AM

Don't remember the beard thing.

Drakul 02-04-2012 04:43 AM

The launch trailer for MGS HDC showed Snake in the jungle with a beard more grown in than the one he starts with. That's what reminded me of that supposed feature in the first place.

Unless it's Peace Walker. I've never played that game, so playing it later today in the collection will be a first.

I read the MGS 3 beard thing from the same magazine that said that THQ were going to make sharing CAWs in HCTP easy by turning your finished CAW into a numerical password that you could write down and give to someone else, they'd put the code into their game and get your CAW.

Even though that never happened, I always thought it sounded like a good idea.

Surely this just means nothing more than the game supporting an output resolution of 1280x720, which puts no demand on anybody. Nintendo will expect games are standardised to the resolution of the WiiU screen, which is exactly the same thing.

Are you, stupid? Puts no demand on anybody? How about it puts a lot of demand on the console to be able to pump out graphics in HD? There's a reason the PS3 and the 360 are system spec juggernauts compared to the Wii: it's not in HD, so it doesn't need that kind of power to support shovelware graphics. And now that fine detail is considerably easier to see in HD, the guys handling the graphical side of the games have to put a lot more of that fine detail into crafting the models so they don't look like shit on a 50 inch flat panel screen pumping out visuals in 1080p. That is both time consuming and expensive. Do you think a world as expansive and graphically detailed as Red Dead Redemption took the same amount of effort, time and money to make as pretty much anything on the Wii? If you have a Wii, go grab a component cable for it, plug it into a 46"1080p LCD tv and see how "amazing" it looks. It looks a little shit. There's only so much a component cable can do to smooth out the jaggies and textures; Wii games just look bad on HD tvs.

Emperor Smeat 02-04-2012 01:47 PM

Its more of Microsoft won't accept a game published on their console unless its in HD (720) and even indie titles have to abide by the rules. Nintendo hinted they won't make the same restriction because if a developer wants to use the extra power for processing or adding in a ton of enemies at lower details, then they can. It was mostly done to get a lot more indie and smaller companies games for the Wii U network.

Sort of similar to Nintendo saying with the 3DS, a developer can make games not use 3D to get the extra power for graphics. Initially they are asking for all retail games to use 3D as a selling point for the system since its barely a year old, after that then they don't care if a developer makes a 3DS without any 3D effect. DS was the same with all launch games using the touchpad and then eventually branched off to having games barely using the pad for gaameplay.

If they look like shit at 720p, they'll look like shit at 480p, except they'll look even shitter because they'll have extra TV scaling involved.

The difference in processing power between a Wii and a PS3/360 is a different thing. Also, the thing about the way MS forces 720p to increase available power isn't true. Halo 3, for example, renders at 640p and that image is simply upscaled and output at 720p - that process of upscaling is not demanding. That's the point I was trying to make - outputing at 720p doesn't put pressure on anyone because the hardware was built to output at it.

What resolution will the WiiU screen be?

Naughty Dog reveals some new details about The Last of Us for the PS3 with the promise of multiplayer being added and more details involving the story.

In terms of the story, the game starts out with the main character, Joel, and his daughter escaping a military safe zone. The military controls all the safe zones and executes anyone infected as their first priority. The infection, similar to Resident Evil, mainly occurs in urban or highly dense areas with any area not controlled by the military seen as a hazardous zone.

Naughty Dog also hinted the story is set up to prevent sequels or cliffhanger endings but did not rule out the potential of the game becoming a series.

The gameplay itself is a bit heavy on the escort style but while Joel is the main playable character for the game, it was teased in previous announcements the daughter can be playable in certain segments of the game.

In terms of multiplayer, the studio confirms the game will have some sort of online multiplayer but as of right now they are just tossing and working on ideas. The main focus is on working the single player portion of the game with the multiplayer to be added in last.

Quote:

Finally when asked about an online mode Bruce Straley, the game’s Director, revealed that the game is, ”going to have some sort of online component.”

“We’re working on a bunch of ideas, but we haven’t nailed anything down. We definitely know it’s going to be awesome,” he added.

A potential sequel for Psychonauts could become a reality after earlier today Notch and Mojong studio, developers of Minecraft, offered to help fund a potential sequel if Double Fine agreed.

While they don't have enough money to fund the whole game, they would be offering enough to help jump start the development while Double Fine searches for a larger publisher to help fund the rest.

The biggest issue besides funding is Double Fine can't just start working on the game right away due to the company breaking down into smaller development teams a few years ago as part of the company's restructuring plans. The plans allowed for more smaller games to be made at once with the main focus on XBLA and Kinect type games. It would take some time to reorganize the whole company back into one large team to actually work on the potential sequel.

Activision reveals more details about the upcoming Battleship game with the game having first person shooting levels and the game itself is a very loose interpretation on both the upcoming movie and the classic board game from Hasbro.

Universal Pictures and Double Helix are helping out developing the game with Double Helix doing most of the actual development.

In terms of storyline, the upcoming movie is more futuristic and sci-fi based while the game itself will barely follow the movie's own story. The game will have a completely different character be controlled who apparently isn't on the same ship the movie follows.

Quote:

The game will apparently follow a storyline wholly separate from the one that features Taylor Kitsch, Rihanna, and Alexander Skarsgaard fighting aliens (and also Liam Neeson collecting yet another paycheck.) Instead, you'll play as Cole Mathis, some manner of demolitions expert who is not on a battleship, yet is somehow capable of commanding a number of battleships while fighting off the aforementioned ocean aliens.

The game will split its battles into first-person shooter sequences and tactical "Battle Command" sequences, where you tactically position ships into tactical situations to tactically defeat the alien enemies, presumably while using tactics.
The game will be released initially for the Xbox 360 and PS3 on April in Europe and May in the US. A completely different version of the game will then arrive on the Wii, DS, and 3DS at a later unannounced date with Magic Pockets as the developer.

Emperor Smeat 02-08-2012 07:15 PM

Basically involved the future direction of the company since both sides want to go more "casual" to help out with development and costs. The company is favoring going heavy on mobile games while Jaffe wants more browser-based games and keeping the big budget games.

The company itself is shrinking a bit by around 20% once the whole thing is done (laid off and people leaving with Jaffe).

I think the future of Twisted Metal also was a small reason considering Jaffe is done with the series while Sony or the company might look into more games or DLC content.

Double Fine and Tim Scaffer held a public online fundraiser with the goal to generate around $400,000 within a month as part of their plan to fund a classic Point-and-Click adventure game as their next project.

While the genre itself is no where near as strong as it was during the late 1980s and early 90s, Schaffer wanted to relive part of his past development with a brand new adventure game in the classic point-and-click style.

The goal was to set the development of the game to around 6-8 months and a release date of late 2012 for Steam. Knowing that they wouldn't be able to bring in a big publisher to help fund the game, they decided to hold a public fundraiser on Kickstarter. The initial goal was about $400,000 in 33 days.

The end result ended up having the goal surpassed within a day as the initial amount was raised within hours and the first day shattering the all-time record on Kickstarter for both amount ($600,000+) and contributors (16,000+). As of the time the report was updated, over $1 million was raised so far.

It is also assumed the large amounts in both funds and backers is related to the news days earlier of Notch and Mojong willing to help fund the development of Psychonauts 2. This could have convinced people to help support that game's development by over-donating so the leftover funds are used to help develop Psychonauts 2.

DOTA 2 could end up being delayed from its original release as Blizzard has sued Valve over the rights to the series with a court date set in the near future.

Blizzard is claiming Valve's use of the name and the MOBA style (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) is in violation to their exclusive association used in the Warcraft series.

Quote:

"Valve seeks to appropriate the more than seven years of goodwill that Blizzard has developed in the mark DOTA and in its Warcraft III computer game, and take for itself a name that has come to signify the product of years of time and energy expended by Blizzard and by fans of Warcraft III.”
While Blizzard themselves did not create the original DOTA game, it was created from the Warcraft community using mod tools from Blizzard's Warcraft II game. The MOBA style was also created as a result for use in MMO and RTS type games. Blizzard is trying to claim ownership for both DOTA and MOBA as a result of both being done using their game as the basis.

Also, BOO to the whole tablet controller thing.

Unless it's optional. I don't want to have tablet gaming a mainstay of my console gaming.

Of course, there's a good chance it's false, so here's hoping.

Epic Games reveals a some of their plans concerning the Unreal 4 engine during this year's DICE convention with the main part being the engine will debut this year.

The first game to use the new engine will arrive later this year although the studio did not mention if it will be another tech demo (ala Samaritan last year) or an actual fully developed game. The earliest the current project could be shown would be at GDC (Game Developer's Conference) in March but most likely would be debuted at this year's E3 convention.

Quote:

"People are going to be shocked later this year when they see Unreal Engine 4 and how much more profound an effect it will have."
Epic Games also hinted both the tech used in the Samaritan demo and the upcoming Unreal 4 engine is meant mainly for the next generation of consoles due to them having no plans to modify the engine to work on current consoles. The main reason being the Samaritan demo alone is roughly 10 times more powerful than the GPU in the Xbox 360.

A couple of Assassin's Creed related news tonight with the date for Assassin's Creed 3 revealed and another DLC pack set for AC: Revelations.

Ubisoft reveals Assassin's Creed III will have a release date of October 30, 2012 with plans to provide the biggest hype and marketing launch in series history.

Very little details were revealed but a third assassin will debut with his or her story tying up the rest of the current storyline arch. Enzio and Altair will not be in the game but Desmond is expected to be involved a lot more as a playable character.

Ubisoft also mentioned the next DLC pack for Assassin's Creed: Revelations will be a single-player only pack focusing a lot more on Desmond his first person puzzles. A special edition of the game called the "Ottoman Edition", rumored to be arriving later this year, was leaked by a few retailers before being pulled down.

One of the most startling games of the 80's was Karateka, a martial arts action title by Jordan Mechner. At the time of its release, the fluid animations and dramatic elements were a huge leap from where most videogames were and laid the groundwork for the game Mechner is best known for, Prince of Persia.

Now, Mechner has announced that he's returning to feudal Japan to remake Karateka for modern consoles, with plans for the title to release this year on the download services. This marks the first time that the designer has taken an active role in development since Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, which is bound to get people salivating a little bit.

Karateka was a great game back in 1984, but it's also a pretty dull one by modern standards. It's not the sort of thing that, even when I'm at my most nostalgic, I think would be a fun way to spend an afternoon. Hopefully Mechner still has it in him to spice that up.
Played Karateka endlessly in grade school :'(

Double Fine revealed some new details about the classic point-and-click adventure game who's funds were generated on the Kickstarter website.

The game itself will not carry any DRM restrictions and is set for release on the PC, Mac, Linux, iOS, and certain Android devices. The game's budget will also be increased to create a larger game than originally planned with voice acting and more languages supported for in-game text.

Anyone who donated $15 or more to the project will receive a beta invite which will occur on Steam and revealed at a later date.

Notch from Mojong also updated his status of potentially helping with the funding of a Psychonauts sequel by stating he will meet with Tim Schaffer during this year's GDC convention. He also wanted expectations to be adjusted for the potential sequel to prevent too an overboard in hype in case the project doesn't get done for his and Double Fine's sake.

I bought Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box on a whim yesterday for £15. I bought it because I got my 360 for vanilla Burnout Paradise and thought I'd rebuy it as Ultimate so I got all the DLC because that's what I had heard the Ultimate Box was.

Got it home and turned it on and it only has bikes and some party mode, every other DLC isn't there, I still need to buy it. Why call it "Ultimate Box" and talk about it having everything when it doesn't actually have everything?

I wanted to drive the DeLoreon :(.

I probably could have just rebought the vanilla version for £10 cheaper if I knew all this.

#BROKEN Hasney 02-17-2012 02:35 AM

The best thing is that a lot of the content in Ultimate Box is free.

It could be worse, you could have bought the PC version... You can't even buy things in the store in that anymore.

Drakul 02-17-2012 06:36 AM

I've seen nothing that's free exclusively for the Ultimate Box. As far as I'm aware, all I got was the basic game, the Party mode, bikes and some other small tiny thing called "Cagney" which I'm guessing is a car or something.

I see they put a police car on the box art but Cops & Robbers isn't included. Neither are the Toy cars, even though there is what looks to be a colourful little truck in the background of the cover, in a slightly different style to the other cars. It looks a little "squished" like the toys.

I bought the film cars for the DeLoreon but in no rush for the rest of the DLC.

As far as I know, everything I got with the game is free anyway except for Party mode. There was an update called Burnout Paradise 1.9 that was about 1.2GBs but I thought everyone got that. It's small things like extra jumps.

While Rocksteady crushed any rumors of them working on a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game, it appears Activision is working on a new game in the series.

The news was revealed during the currently showing Toy Fair expo in New York which showed Activision having plans to release a Turtles game in 2012.

It appears Activision has acquired rights to the series after Ubisoft dropped their license and THQ disbanded their kids division which held rights to the cartoon series.

Nickelodeon was also revealed to be collaborating with Activision on the game which means the game's source will be from the recent 2003 Turtles series and not the classic 80s or comic book series.

According to Gabe Newell, Valve is switching towards a Nintendo-like approach when it comes to announcing games.

The new policy would only allow games to be revealed once enough of the game has been created as a way to combat negative hype and wild rumors. It would ensure enough actual details can be provided while also providing a potential release date to help both fans and consumers of the game.

While it wasn't specifically mentioned, the move was done due to the problems involving Half-Life 3 taking a lot longer to create and the constant wild rumors about the game.

Quote:

“Part of the reason that we backed off talking so much about what was happening in the future is that when we’ve done that in the past, you know, with Half-Life 1 it was a year after we originally said it would be, Half-Life 2 basically if you go and read the forum posts apparently took us 50 or 60 years to get done, so we’re trying to be careful not to get people too excited and then have to go and disappoint them,” Newell explained. ”So we’re sort of reacting in the other direction and saying, ‘okay, well let’s have things a little more baked before we start getting people all excited about it.’”
He also admitted the company has a bad habit of hyping up their fans regarding certain games and then taking longer than expected or making it assume the game is close to being done than in reality.

Yeah, I got the standard version of the collection. Metal Gear 1 and 2 aren't so hot. I remember my first Metal Gear was Snakes Revenge which then turned out not to be a "real" Metal Gear game because Hideo didn't make it. It's actually more fun than the "real" Metal Gear 2.

MGS 2 is great, though the skatings missing, and 3 is cool. Not into Peace Walker, though. I did the tutorial and it doesn't feel like a MGS game. Plus, it's team based. I hate team based games. I'd rather go it alone and, if I have a team mate, I'd rather they were sitting next to me on the couch, not online or an AI.

I wouldn't say fat nerds. People with more money than sense, yeah. I've bought a few in my time but I've never gone in for that "action figure" stuff that brings the games price up to £100. CDs, DVDs and maybe DLC are cool, for an extra £5 or £10.

I remember getting a handkerchief free with San Andreas. Well, to me it was a handkerchief. I know it's suppose to be some "gangsta" bandit mask or headwear. Bandit masks are stupid when you're not a 5 year old playing "Cowboys" or a criminal living in 1850's America.

That's why I never really liked the story of San Andreas, "gangsta" culture is just awful. Gameplay was great, though.

Why not? It's popular among fighting game enthusiasts. Many even name SFA3 as their favorite fighter.

We already know from interviews with Ono and Capcom reps, that there is more street fighter goodness in store for the future. I could honestly see a new alpha before we see SF5.

Drakul 02-21-2012 02:44 AM

There was an interview for SFxT on Gamespot where Ono was asked about SFA3 coming to PSN. He said he'd like to but didn't have the time or budget.

If there's no time or budget to rerelease an exsisting game on the series 25th anniversery, they probably wont make a whole new one.

Especially if they're going to be working on a new Darkstalkers.

Blitz 02-21-2012 03:09 AM

Your first problem there is believing anything Ono says.

Kalyx triaD 02-21-2012 03:41 AM

At best we'll some Alpha games on XBL (Anthology hopefully), but I doubt an Alpha 4 over SF5 or Darkstalkers. On second thought, Ono mentioned (more times than once) of doing a Triple Upper version of Alpha 3 (Double Upper appeared on handheld). That's a good bet, I think.

Remedy could be considering bring over the rest of the Alan Wake series a lot quicker than Microsoft normally allows for first party game ports after the first Alan Wake game quickly became a #1 seller on Steam.

The PC game managed to recoup all of its development costs within 48 hours of going on sale and shows the series itself has as strong of a PC user base as on the Xbox 360.

Quote:

“We are very happy with the sales and hitting #1 on Steam at launch was nothing short of amazing. We recouped our development and marketing expenses during the first 48 hours. And yes, we’re certainly very excited about PC.”
While its unlikely Microsoft will suddenly change their release policy which favors the Xbox 360 to ensure maximum console sales, they could eventually consider reducing the long waiting period to allow first party PC games to arrive a lot quicker than normal. Microsoft usually holds off on allowing a PC port to be made until around 2 years after the console version was released.

A reboot of Strider and Streets of Rage could have been in the makings if it wasn't for both Capcom and Sega shutting down requests by GRIN studio before they went out of business in 2009.

GRIN, makers of the reboot Bionic Commando and Wanted: Weapons of Fate, final project was a game involving Final Fantasy before Square-Enix pulled the plug on the project.

The studio did try one last attempt to stay in business and had tried to contact Capcom for a potential Strider remake project before Capcom eventually dropped support for the remake. GRIN then tried to contact Ubisoft to make a brand new game using the stuff worked on the Strider remake until Ubisoft rejected the offer.

The final attempt by the studio ended up being an idea to remake the Streets of Rage franchise but was denied the chance by Sega who wanted nothing to do with the series at the time.

Grin's games were all fairly poorly received weren't they? Average at best?

Emperor Smeat 02-22-2012 08:12 PM

I believe they were or at least their recent games for this generation which probably was a big reason for being rejected by 3 companies. The link for the news shows off a video for the early stuff they were working on the Strider reboot. They worked on both the shitty and the good Bionic Commando remake games but the negativity involving the non-Rearmed one hurt them the most.

I know Sega basically wants nothing to do with their Streets of Rage franchise in a similar way to Rare having no desire to make a Killer Instinct 3.

Drakul 02-23-2012 01:13 AM

Rearmed was getting nothing but positive responses, I thought. It was the remake that got negative responses. Which sucks because it was a good game, just with a couple of little flaws.
You not being given enough time to leave radioactive areas before dying was the only real problem for me. Everyone that spoke being so angsty wasn't exactly a plus, though. The good guys were all really angsty but the bad guy wasn't angsty at all, which was weird.

Rearmed 2 might have been mixed in response, I don't know.

Rearmed has an 80-something% on all platforms on Gameranksings, the lowest being the PC version at 84. Yeah, it was well-received, but it seems Meatball edited his post.

Rearmed 2 was scores in the 60s, BTW.

But yeah, a remake with new graphics is the only game I found that got solid numbers in their recent ventures.

This is actually a pretty nice interface for playing a real guitar on a game.

Kane Knight 02-25-2012 04:11 PM

What's it from?

Kalyx triaD 02-25-2012 04:13 PM

BandFuse: Rock Legends.

Kane Knight 02-25-2012 04:48 PM

Never heard of it. I would still prefer the GH/RB style scrolling.

Kinda like the way Rocksmith does it.

Kalyx triaD 02-25-2012 05:28 PM

This game again promises to 'teach you' how to play. Might be worth a demo at a Best Buy.

You mean like Rocksmith?

Quote:

One thing Realta doesn't hold back on is the celebrities: The company invited two players from the metal band Five Finger Death Punch to play a few quick songs and talk about how great the game was at the press event, and Slash himself made an appearance, to show off the tabs running on his song "Back from Cali." But when he steps up to play the song through the game (a song, keep in mind, that the rock virtuoso wrote and performs himself), even Slash stumbles to keep up with the tab numbers rolling past, and it takes him a few minutes to get his playing to line up with the song and the non-interactive music video rolling by in the background.
Eh. This one's probably a pass.

Kalyx triaD 02-25-2012 06:44 PM

Ha.

Kane Knight 02-25-2012 06:47 PM

Anyone have the full Voltron XBLA game?

Not sure I want to drop money on it. It seems kinda clunky for a Twin Stick, and the demo doesn't even let you do one of the Voltron scenes. I was hoping to at least experience that in the demo.

Kalyx triaD 02-25-2012 06:50 PM

Pass it. Very poorly put together. Honestly seems like a handheld game, like... a handheld game from a generation ago. Passion's there, though, they just weren't up to task.

Kane Knight 02-25-2012 07:01 PM

Figured as much. A shame. I wanted it to be good, but I was pretty sure the demo told me all I needed to know.

Kalyx triaD 02-25-2012 07:03 PM

Now we wait for the inevitable game based on the sacrilege modern series.

Kane Knight 02-25-2012 07:09 PM

Only seen clips. Looked dumb. Was hoping for that, too.

Still, if they can make a good game out of that series, I could...I don't know, turn the volume down and enjoy it...I guess.

Kane Knight 02-25-2012 07:10 PM

That game would probably suck too, just saying "if."

Kalyx triaD 02-25-2012 07:14 PM

I can't even name a decent game based on an on-going tv show from the last decade.
