I think it's been stated before that the cash-in is for the WWE/World title only but they've also definitely dropped hints that someone can cash in on another title.

Either way though, why would Sheamus not win the world title in that situation? Even by nonsensical MITB rules, it makes sense that he would.

Should cash in on the Divas title

Mr. Nerfect 08-18-2015 07:53 PM

After the promo on RAW, I'm fairly certain that Cena is winning to "embarrass" Triple H, thus kicking off the Rollins vs. Triple H program that was rumored. I wonder if Cena will keep both titles, will soon be cashed-in on, or forfeit the US Title to give someone else an opportunity to carry the banner?

Lock Jaw 08-18-2015 08:01 PM

Really should have just dropped it to Kevin Owens.

Owens/Cesaro really feels like it should have been for the title.

He cashes it in on Becky Lynch after she wins the Divas's Title, asking for a date. MITB cash in begins a lovely courting

Stephanie McMahon did a great job of kicking off the Diva Revolution on July 13. Really, she did. She gave a great, heartfelt introduction to three of the brightest stars on the WWE horizon – Charlotte, Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks. It was a night that literally brought tears of joy to my eyes. So why, just five weeks later, have those tears of joy been replaced by the anger and embarrassment of hearing “we want Lesnar chants during the Banks/Nikki Bella match?

Quite simply, we need a women’s pipebomb. Stephanie may have kicked off the Diva Revolution on Monday Night WWE Raw – but we need a Diva/woman/female competitor to take that ball and run with it. We can’t just gradually be SHOWN the revolution. WE can’t have the revolution EXPLAINED to us. We need one of the participants to make us FEEL it. We NEED that promo that perfectly captures the time and place, the pride and passion of this revolution. We NEED a CM Punk pipebomb. We NEED that “Austin 3;16 says I just whipped your ass” moment, that Dusty Rhodes “Hard Times” promo – something that hammers home the point to even the densest, drunkest members of the WWE Universe that times have changed – and chanting for anyone – even if it is a returning hometown hero like Brock Lesnar – while women are working their collective asses off to entertain them is not just disrespectful, but unacceptable.

As a wrestling fan, I was embarrassed. As a friend of both participants in the match, I was hurt. In my wrestling days, I would have tapped into those feelings of embarrassment and hurt and let it out in a promo. Often, those promos were effective; in a few cases, they even became iconic. Not once did I feel that one of those promos would have been better served by committee. I know that times have changed, and that the days of sending a superstar out to the ring with just a microphone and a deep-seeded belief in the importance of their message are largely over. But why not take a chance and let one of the women walk out to the ring with that same opportunity I was given? The same opportunity Punk was given…and Austin…and Dusty…and Flair…and Funk – and so many of the masters of the microphone who won us over with their passion, while not giving a damn about grammar, sentence structure, witty retorts and back and forth banter. Cena was given the ball last night, and took it in for that figurative touchdown. Heyman is almost other-worldly in his conversion ratio. I honestly don’t know if any of the women can deliver on the microphone with the effectiveness of a Cena or a Heyman. But they deserve the chance to try. All I am saying, is #GiveDivasaChance.
Mick Foley's opinion on the Divas Revolution so far.

During an appearance on John Lester’s Hollywood Squares-themed NVRQT Night at Metro In Chicago, former WWE Superstar CM Punk mentioned that he auditioned for the part of Rocksteady in the upcoming “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” movie, but ultimately lost the role to Sheamus.

“I just assumed he’s a bigger dude, so they gave it to the big guy,” Punk said.. “It makes sense. They were looking for two big, muscly bouncer types. (Sheamus) fits the role. I think they end up getting mutated half way through. You didn’t hear that from me though.”

Former WWF superstar Billy Jack Haynes made the following comments via Facebook:

I welcome the (NEW) FB members, I had to BLOCK 32 ignorant WWE backers that simply feel VKM can do no wrong, VKM wants to get rid of the old school that made him a BILLIONAIRE, if VKM could close his eyes and make a wish, the entire 1980’s and 1990’s would be gone. Hulk Hogan is gone & removed forever, not a trace. HULK was a RACIST but for life? Look in the mirrior VKM there is the real RACIST, we have 5 African Americans on our CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT that will testify to this. But I’m so damn pissed on this August 14th, 2015 day it is very hard at age 62 to maintain my composure!…….Here are the facts with the DEATH of LEGEND WRESTLER Rowdy’ RODDY PIPER! Rod on a podcast had a Stone Cold Steve Austin impersonator, he was great! Steve Austin went crazy and told VKM to fire Roddy Piper or Steve Austin would quit, so VKM after 30 years (3) DECADES fires RODDY PIPER, VKM knew RODDY had not been well as of late, this information hits the internet, so it is TRUE, RODDY PIPER dies of an apparent Heart Attack 3 days after he was fired!

So VKM goes into cover-up & LIE mode. So VKM who clearly knows Steve Austin loves beating up on women, I should know he married my first ex-wife Jeanne Clarke, then he married and many times beat then wife Debra McMichael right Steve Austin (DOCUMENTED) well I have an idea Steve and here it is. TRY ME ASSHOLE! UFC 1 minute rds, 1 minute rest to a KO finish! Stand up fists only, there your favorite weapons against women anyway right you women beating piece of shit! A million dollar winner take all, we both put up a million dollars! With one of the million going to a battered womens shelter! I’m 62 Steve is 51 my knees are gone, a UFC fist fight to a finish SIMPLE!……Not so fast VKM, you allowed this woman beater to be in your company for 20 years, he is also a WWE HOF how the hell is this?……..Roddy to me clearly died over the pure STRESS of being FIRED by you VKM, & over a woman beater that you know full well is, well RODDY has paid the ultimate price for this pure BS!
Part of a longer rant Haynes had on Facebook about him blaming Stone Cold for causing Piper's death and wants to beat up Stone Cold for revenge. http://www.gerweck.net/2015/08/17/bi...im-to-a-fight/

P.S. Cena was fucking great there.

I agree and also disagree. Even the greats Cena has faced have gotten the "Let's go Cena/Cena sucks." WWE should have done more building up people around Cena but it's too late.

He shouldn't even bring it up. It's not Seth Rollins fault. He gets those chants in matches with Randy Orton, Edge, CM Punk, Daniel Bryan. He would get those chants if he hooked up with Hulk Hogan or Steve Austin down the line in an alternate universe.

I really liked the bit with Ric Flair though. Making the 16 time be about Triple H/Cena is a smart move. I'm still going to break shit when it happens but the marks will think it's a great thing the greatest of all time has been tied by Marky Mark.

Is anybody enjoying the goofiness of Stardust and Wade Barrett?

Lock Jaw 08-19-2015 12:31 AM

The segment on Monday where King Barrett was dubbed the Cosmic King was the best. Only thing it was missing was the camera angle being askew... would have made it perfect...

GD 08-19-2015 12:35 AM

It seems like they are an exception* to the rule of not looking straight in the camera as far as backstage segments and interviews are concerned.

*Bray Wyatt, and the Undertaker.

It was during his run as "The Real Man's Man."

The set up, as well. Regal was made the offer, and replied, "The last time I checked, my name was Steve Regal and not Elton John, so I'll take the broads."
