Because they're trying to build SummerSlam up as a "second WrestleMania" and no one is over enough to be in the world title match other than Cena.

Believe you me, I have asked myself Why many many times over the past several weeks. I still have yet to come up with an answer, although it's less my viewpoint of "ZOMGCENASUCCCCCCKKKKKSSSSSSHAAAAATTTTTEEE!" than it is out of concern that despite them saying to the contrary, Cena's nose may not be fully healed.

That's why him always returning so quickly leads me to believe he may very well be lighting both ends of a double-fused stick of dynamite, and end up having a shorter career than if he rehabbed at a normal rate and returned in a normal timeframe.

Been watching old episodes of WWF Superstars and Wrestling Challenge from '90-'92. Forgot how random the format was. I remember them basically being squash matches and "control center updates" with Sean Mooney or Mean Gene. But it's like... Some episodes will be nothing but 2 minute squashes and highlights but every once in a while there will be an episode with an actual match. Never opening or closing the show it seems. Just thrown in the middle somewhere. Like...

What are the chances of Sheamus leaving SummerSlam as US Champion... he tries to cash in like Rollins did, Cena ends up taking the pinfall, therefore Sheamus is awarded the US Title and the WHC part is considered a no contest?

Wouldn't put it past the WWE to use some weird logic but he is only able to get the WWE title if he cashed in. MitB case is just for the WWE title and Cena would still have the US title assuming he beats Rollins. Same for if Rollins beats Cena in keeping the US title.

Match would need to be a unification match for Sheamus to get both belts.

MITB isn't just for the WWE Title, unless they changed the rule

When/where was it stated was for World Title only? Not arguing but I always took it as a title of their choosing, now choosing a lower title would be stupid but could be done-from the way I always assumed it went.

Unless I'm forgetting something, its always been for the World and WWE title when those two existed and then for the current WWE title which is why its a gold case now.

Only real choice was when the case holder could choose which belt (World or WWE) before it got expanded to two cases and brand only for cash ins.

Well on that note I apologize... that is likely where I got that thought from... was just entertained at the idea of him celebrating like crazy and then get handed the US title with a WTF look.
