Spiderman and The Lizard finally mated

Nowhere Man 01-09-2013 10:58 AM

I think he's supposed to be wearing ninja-style tabi boots.

Triple Naitch 01-09-2013 10:58 AM

Should I start reading Uncanny Avengers, New Avengers, New X-Men, or Avengers?

Reavant 01-09-2013 11:14 AM

new xmen and uncanny avengers have awesome story lines going right now

Kalyx triaD 01-09-2013 08:34 PM

Mock up of an actress as Thor.

Miotch 01-09-2013 08:35 PM

Is that from the next film? If so I'd guess something to do with Loki?

Looks like Britta. Saw this one a few days ago:

It looks nothing like Gillian Jacobs. That said, I now feel it necessary to post my sig.

Looks kind of but not quite like her. I think my perceptions are being warped by seeing the Alison Brie one first and just assuming it is in the "same series". Definitely not her, though. She looks familiar, though. Can't place who she actually is.

Lock Jaw 01-10-2013 02:38 PM

It is Amber Heard. Don't know why she looks familiar because I haven't seen a thing that she has been in.

Lock Jaw 01-10-2013 02:39 PM

And here is Sandra Bullock as Iron Man for some reason:

http://comicbook.com/wp-content/uplo...2-771x1024.jpg

Miotch 01-10-2013 04:00 PM

That looks terribly photoshopped.

Wonder who will stand in as The Hulk.

Miotch 01-10-2013 04:01 PM

So trying to figure out who that is in the Thor photo and came across this.

Not sure if this is big or new news at all but haven't seen it mentioned...

S.H.I.E.L.D has been confirmed as being post-Avengers movie, rather than speculation of it being a prequel show due to Agent Coulson's involvement.

Kalyx triaD 01-14-2013 12:12 PM

The new X-Men lineup is No Boys Allowed with the team being all women. And it stars Jubilee overall.

http://i.newsarama.com/images/X-men-marvel-now-1.jpg

Kalyx triaD 01-14-2013 12:16 PM

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe side of things, Anthony Mackie assures us that the Falcon will have his wings and will take to the skies.

Skippord 01-14-2013 12:29 PM

well that makes sense, otherwise he would be just a guy

Lock Jaw 01-14-2013 01:40 PM

Who is the redhead chick on the X-Men cover?

Kalyx triaD 01-14-2013 01:46 PM

Rachael Summers.

Lock Jaw 01-14-2013 01:48 PM

I see. Guess she got a new costume in between whenever I stopped reading and now.

The Destroyer 01-14-2013 02:07 PM

I really have an addiction. Comixology are selling the first 63 or so issues of Peter David's run on X-Factor today for 99c/69p an issue, and despite owning at least 80% of them in print form, tempted to get the lot. :'(

Fignuts 01-15-2013 11:21 PM

wtf I think deadpool is on more teams than wolverine and spider-man combined.

They need to chill with that.

Kalyx triaD 01-15-2013 11:27 PM

How many teams is he in?

Fignuts 01-15-2013 11:38 PM

I guess since marvel now started he quit the other ones.

But isn't he on thunderbolts? Usually there is a suspension of disbelief when a character is on multiple teams, and participates in multiple events at once.

That suspension gets stretched pretty far when one of those teams in on earth, and the other other is in the far reaches of outer damn space.

I'll still probably enjoy it, I'm just saying it kind of goes beyond the usual comic silliness.

Lock Jaw 01-15-2013 11:39 PM

That is a variant cover. I don't know why, but Marvel likes putting Deadpool onto variant covers. Like he is so "meta" that he will crash another comic book's cover.

That being said, I don't get who he is supposed to "be" on that cover with the long hair/shades/phone.

Skippord 01-16-2013 09:43 AM

that's clearly Paris Hilton Deadpool

Kalyx triaD 01-16-2013 02:59 PM

I can barely keep up anymore, but a Thanos origin story is back on track, though it isn't the one originally advertised (and eventually canceled):

http://i.newsarama.com/images/Thanos-Rising-1.jpg

Fignuts 01-16-2013 11:25 PM

Thanos is my favorite villain, but I actually like that details of his origin are vague. Adds to his mystique as a massive cosmic threat.

Shadow 01-17-2013 12:28 AM

Vague? How are Thanos' origins vague?

He's from Titan, he's got immense power, he fell in love with Death, and killed half his planet to prove his love for her.

Not that vauge.

Fignuts 01-17-2013 01:12 PM

The DETAILS, shadow.

If you can spout out everything that's known about a character's origin in one sentence, that's pretty vague.

Rogue, Iceman, and Kitty Pryde (Shadowkat) are all back for X-Men: Days of Future Past! Yes, that means Anne Paquin, Shawn Ashmore, and the lovely Ellen Page are coming back.

Humorously, Bryan Singer thanked Brett Ratner for not killing them.

Blitz 01-26-2013 04:44 PM

I'm assuming you mean Days of Future Past.

Kalyx triaD 01-26-2013 07:37 PM

Oh yes! Wow, time/brain-lapse there.

Kalyx triaD 01-27-2013 03:40 AM

Cobie Smulders will be in Cap 2, and if she has anything to say about it, the S.H.I.E.L.D. TV show itself.

parkmania 01-27-2013 09:06 PM

Marvel Studio’s Kevin Feige has confirmed that a Doctor Strange movie will be part of Marvel’s Phase 3. Phase 2 will include Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, in 2013, Captain America: Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy in 2014, and culminates in The Avengers 2 in 2015. The only film in Phase 3 that has an announced debut date is Edgar Wright’s Ant-Man, which is slated for November 5th, 2015 (see “Disney Slates Ant-Man Movie for Nov. 5, 2015”).

But in talking with MTV Splash Page Feige, when asked about other films in Phase 3, stated “Doctor Strange, which I have been talking about for years, is definitely one of them.” Feige claims that Doctor Strange meets the criteria that Marvel Studios has for its maturing line of films, “He’s a great original character, and he checks the box off this criteria I have: he’s totally different from anything else we have, just like Guardians of the Galaxy. He’s totally different from anything we’ve done before, as is Ant-Man.”

Kalyx triaD 01-27-2013 11:26 PM

After we get cosmic we're going mystic, eh? And Ant-Man makes me think of Vision and Ultron.

I would definitely place bets on Ultron being the villain for phase 3.

He's the penultimate avengers villain.

loopydate 01-28-2013 06:49 AM

Who's the ultimate one, then?

loopydate 01-28-2013 06:50 AM

(Penultimate means "next-to-last")

Mark Miller, manager of Fox's X-Men film franchise, confirms that Days of Future's Past will have the Sentinels. "Halt, mutant!"

My secret girlfriend Ellen Page will also get some time to shine, and rightfully so, as the story features her character prominently.

Kalyx triaD 02-02-2013 04:36 AM

Volchok 02-03-2013 02:23 PM

Or is that a pig tail for a shoutout to spider pig?

The Destroyer 02-03-2013 02:29 PM

Could just be smoke, his costume is looking a bit singed after all.

Needs more villains.

Volchok 02-03-2013 02:36 PM

Im still gonna go with the shout out to spiderpig, his suit doesnt really looked singed..more tore up.

YOUR Hero 02-03-2013 05:58 PM

he was zapped. therefore cinged.

mitchables 02-03-2013 10:02 PM

it wouldn't be a shout-out to spider-pig, it'd be a shout-out to spider-ham first and foremost, you uncultured swine

mitchables 02-03-2013 10:03 PM

but it's just smoke

Triple Naitch 02-05-2013 04:29 PM

According to Deadline.com Chris Pratt is going to be Starlord.

Skippord 02-05-2013 04:33 PM

In The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

Miotch 02-06-2013 01:13 PM

I don't think I've ever looked forward to a comic book movie less that I am looking forward to Spider Man 2.

alvarado52 02-06-2013 02:59 PM

Pretty much. Wish they would base success of movies on what people actually think as opposed to how many parents took their kids to see Spiderman.

Its unfortunate, because I do feel they did a great job casting Peter/Spidey, but everything else was a mess.

Skippord 02-06-2013 03:30 PM

that was the only good Spider-Man movie that's ever been made

Miotch 02-06-2013 03:51 PM

No, it was the best Spider-Man movie that's ever been made.

And it was still terrible.

Skippord 02-06-2013 04:03 PM

I may have been more forgiving to it because I hate the other 3 so much

Spidey 2 has a better villain. That's it. Andrew Garfield is a better lead, Emma Stone is a better love interest. ASM also has Denis Leary. Checkmate.

Miotch 02-07-2013 02:15 PM

The lack of Toby certainly gives ASM a big push in the debate.

The atmosphere of the raimi films captures the feel of Spider-Man far better. Also, sm2 has better fight scenes.
