Its been a joke from the start. The only revolution was in nxt, because they didn't come out and parade it as a "revolution". They just went out and had great matches and people gained respect for them naturally instead of being told to.

Only thing I wasn't good with was the timing. She should have won the title a lot closer to when she actually won the case. Timing was awkward because of it.

A lot of WTF stuff going on in this Lucha deathmatch.
Like one guy doing a moonsault while holding a light tube and missing his opponent. Or that big clown guy who went right through a series of chairs. Or that other guy who got nailed in the back with a light tube tucked into his shirt. Or that other guy who dove right into a light tube. Or that fan in the front row that got messed up from light tube shards. |
Holy shit at the big clown guy pouring thumbtacks on his head and then smashing El Texano onto a table full of them.

Main event was pretty good overall. Last 5 minutes or so had a ton of shenanigans.
Makes sense Cuerno lost since LA Park refused to lose his mask in CMLL, would have been dumb to unmask Pentagon, and the Clown guy is way too popular to do the same. Event itself was also pretty entertaining overall. |

I've decided to use my subscription to the WWE Network for more than just PPV's once a month, so I'm going to start watching Raw and SmackDown every Sunday, beginning from when WWF changed to WWE.
That way, I get more out of my subscription, I get a regular dose of nostalgia (I like nostalgia) and it also gives me something to do on Sundays, as Sundays are always insanely boring for me. Anyway, to refresh my memory on what exactly was going on at that time, I've just watched the last Raw and SmackDown before the name change, so technically, the last WWF Raw and WWF SmackDown. Some things I'll point out from those shows though: • I must have forgotten that the last WWF Raw Main Event was a European Championship Match between Goldust and Spike Dudley, which Spike won and retained his title by doing so. The last WWF SmackDown Main Event was an Undisputed Championship Match between Chris Jericho and Hulk Hogan, which Hogan won and retained his title by doing so. If you want to look it another way, the Jericho/Hogan match was also the last WWF Main Event. There's also a pretty big contrast between those two main events. • The opening vignette for SmackDown had sound effects added to Undertaker's attack on Hogan. The punches, kicks and every time Undertaker hit Hogan with Hogan's belt all had really cheap and corny sound effects. • I had also forgotten about SmackDown's piped-in cheering or as some call it, "Seagull Pop/Cheering" or "Hairdryer Pop/Cheering". I heard it and it all came screaming back to me. I couldn't un-hear it after that. • Looking back on it now and through the eyes of an adult, Vince McMahon comes across as a creepy old man during his backstage segments with Stacy Keibler. In a way, it was kinda awkward to watch. Speaking of all that kind of stuff, by watching both of those shows, you can see how much society has changed over the last fifteen years by the content of the shows and also what is written on the crowd signs. There's a few things that you "wouldn't get away with on television today" without a protest being launched about it on social media. |
TripleMania was insane and I'm not sure if I mean that in a good way.

First half of the event was pretty great for quality matches while the later half was a very entertaining train wreck for quality.
Like when WWE hits train wreck status for events, its rarely entertaining and a lot more of a bore to watch. |

I tried doing some research to find out how many tickets are available for the WWE's Australian show. I can't imagine the product being hotter, but they are a juggernaut and they are kind of low-key promoting this like an Australian WrestleMania in media you do have to seek out to find, but still.
The card looks absolutely awful: * Triple H vs. The Undertaker (with Shawn Michaels to be announced as referee, I'm sure) * John Cena and Bobby Lashley vs. Jinder Mahal and Elias (Jinder is advertised as Kevin Owens in some sources -- got no clue what is going on there) * The Shield vs. TBA (rumored to be Braun, Dolph and Drew) * Ronda Rousey & The Bella Twins vs. The Riott Squad * Daniel Bryan vs. The Miz in a #1 Contender's Match The Iconics are also being advertised. I imagine that they are also going to do Buddy Murphy winning the Cruiserweight Title and throw Rhea Ripley and/or Toni Storm onto the card. Tickets are insanely priced. $1,400 for ringside. They appear to still be available. It's also very cute that Triple H has found his way into another record audience for WWE. He has nothing to do with them selling out, but he'll find a way to main event WrestleMania 32, the Australian show and whatever other records they are going for soon. He did try the India one too, but that was a flop. |

I’ve joked about it either here or elsewhere, but if the talk of The Rock coming back to work Mania is true, there is no way I can see “all the records” Triple H sitting back and letting Rock notably increase their subs. So what can H do to get himself in the convo during the shareholders meeting. I wonder why Shawn Michaels is getting involved in this Undertaker stuff? Why has Triple H babyfaced himself?
My prediction: Taker beats HHH in Australia. Taker does a big exit as he is one to do. Triple H and HBK hug. DX music hits. Aww. Cue Triple H heel turn. At some point, Shawn Michaels is advertised as having a face-to-face with Taker because he wants his permission to fight Triple H. “Shawn, normally I’d have three words for you: Rest In Peace. But I’ve got another three...” “Please let them be: Are You Ready?” “No, Shawn...kick his ass!” Shawn then enters the Royal Rumble and tries to use the match to challenge Hunter. After Michaels cleans house and the crowd is going nuts, The Rock comes out. The two have a moment and Shawn sells like crazy for Rock. Heels interrupt and they get tossed out. HBK ends up hitting a sneaky Sweet Chin Music on Rock. A heel lays out Michaels. Another heel takes that heel out. HBK and Rock are prone in the ring. Double kip up. Place explodes. Another heel probably eliminates HBK. Maybe even HHH. Rock wins the Rumble. When the quarter network numbers are huge, HHH can say “We had returning stars like The Rock and Shawn Michaels, and matches like Rock vs. Roman Reigns and Shawn Michaels vs. Triple H.” |
Doing an angle at Australia’s biggest show is a great way to make it “worth it” for the fans that go, even though they may not try it again for a while. It sends the message that you can’t think of these as house shows. Next time WWE tried to sell out such a big building, you better go, just in case...

I think if Rock wrestles at WM it will be against either HHH or a safe heel worker, like Miz.
I don't see them doing Roman vs Rock b/c Rock won't come back to lose a match and Roman shouldn't be losing to part-timers if he is 'their guy'. I think HBK is legit done (but your idea sounds good Noid). |

In some ways the heel/face line is blurring and in some ways there are clear-cut heels and faces.
It's HHH's influence slowly shifting in (I think). When you watch NXT of course there are 'heels' and 'faces' but the crowd still cheers a Adam Cole or Ciampa regardless. I think eventually the main roster will be like that as HHH's influence grows. Instead what we have right now is murky/not-cohesive booking where it sometimes seems like Vince is drunk when making decisions. |
