TNA wrestler Austin Aries (Dan Solwold) has been "severely fined," according to a TMZ report, following Aries "crotching" Christy Hemme during last Thursday's Impact episode. TNA is not disclosing the amount of the fine for Solwold's unscripted action.

Also, TMZ reports that Solwold reached out to Hemme and "privately apologized," while acknowledging that he crossed the line of playing a heel.

There was no indication of when Solwold reached out to Hemme, though. This relates to Solwold tweeting remarks Sunday night that were dismissive of Hemme calling his actions "unacceptable" on Twitter.

There is also no indication of when TNA implemented the fine. TNA president Dixie Carter tweeted Tuesday night that the incident with Aries "was taken very seriously and handled immediately." Whether "immediately" means last Thursday night after the incident or later on as more people drew attention to the incident is unclear due to the inconsistent timeline.

Heisenberg 05-16-2013 04:49 PM

Dixie probably cornered Aries backstage and exposed her breasts to him to make him suffer the same harassment he made Hemme endure. Poor(lucky) man

Maybe Rollins or Ambrose don't want to take the risk of randomly getting run over by a car in the future. Reigns should be safe since he's related to both Rikishi and The Rock.

Mr. Nerfect 05-16-2013 10:53 PM

I think it would make great character for Roman Reigns to explain how he has even laid waste to family members because he believes in The Shield so much.

Interesting article. I think Extreme Rules will turn out to be a really good show. I'm actually not as certain as everyone else that Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns will be walking out WWE Tag Team Champions though. Once The Shield beat Team Hell No who is there left for them to face? Team Hell No? I have no doubt that Rollins & Reigns will eventually win the titles from Kane & Daniel Bryan, but I could actually kind of see them losing to them at Extreme Rules to give the fans a glimmer of hope that The Shield can be stopped.

Dean Ambrose would also look good as the only member of The Shield holding championship gold (for the time being). All three just suddenly having belts might be jarring to some casual fans. Have Ambrose beat Kofi Kingston in what turns out to be an impromptu Ladder Match (ordered by Teddy Long to continue the "he's making big decisions he perhaps shouldn't" angle) after The Shield help him out. Kofi Kingston attacks Dean Ambrose and takes him out of the equation for the Tornado Tag later. Things are crazy in the tag, as you can imagine, and it looks like Reigns is going for the kill on Daniel Bryan with the Spear, but Kane tosses Seth Rollins into it and Reigns Spears his buddy. Kane then big boots the surprised Reigns, which knocks him into The "NO!" Lock from Daniel Bryan. Kane Chokeslams Rollins for good measure and Reigns is forced to tap out.

The Shield talk about regrouping in the following weeks. Kofi Kingston teams with Team Hell No against The Shield and Reigns manages to pin Kofi Kingston with a Spear in that match. Ambrose beats Kingston with his headlock driver finisher on a Main Event or a SmackDown to retain the US Title cleanly and put an end to that dispute. Reigns & Rollins continue to team together and beat Epico & Primo one week and then Tons of Funk another. Team Hell No vs. The Shield is confirmed again for Payback, which is where Reigns & Rollins manage to win their first championship together. Ambrose can defend the US Title against Chris Jericho or something, if he is available. It'd be Jericho chasing the only title he hasn't held in his WWE career, and Ambrose vs. Jericho is sure to be a good match.

A fundraising drive to help TNA wrestler Michael Paris (a/k/a Zema Ion) with his medical bills is underway. Paris had an emergency appendectomy and in the process doctors discovered a five centimeter tumor located on his colon. He is currently awaiting biopsy results that will determine whether the tumor is cancerous, and he will have to undergo another surgery to remove it. Paris, who recently graduated from West Virginia University, does not have medical insurance.

So I wore my CM Punk "Best In The World" T-Shirt on a night out last night and it managed to get me some weird attention.

Two moments were when some random guy came from behind me and tapped me on the shoulder. I turn around and he says "I like the T-Shirt" and proceeds to give me a smile and a thumbs up.

Another moment was when I was standing at the bar waiting to be served, when the barman looks at me and shouts "best in the world" at me and gives me a smile. Some guy that was standing next to me turns to me and says "What the fuck was that about? Was he talking to me?". I had to tell him that the barman was referring to my T-Shirt.

I'm sure it would be a great one. Here's how you can get it started:

* Dean Ambrose beats Kofi Kingston in an impromptu Ladder Match ordered by Teddy Long.

* Now that he is a champion, Brad Maddox has something he can take from Ambrose if he doesn't play by the rules a bit. Maddox announces that if Roman Reigns or Seth Rollins get involved in Ambrose's matches, he'll be stripped of the US Title.

* Ambrose wins a rematch against Kofi Kingston and pins him cleanly with his headlock driver, which he can call "The Shield Breaker" or something like that.

* Ambrose makes a bitter challenge to Brad Maddox. "You always wanted to be a Superstar -- how about you get in the ring with me. I'll even put my US Title on the line." Maddox thinks about it and accepts. Ambrose pins Maddox with The Shield Breaker and now has two successful title defenses.

* Daniel Bryan and Chris Jericho have a match on SmackDown or Main Event or something like that -- face vs. face. They do what could be a televised classic, but then The Shield (who still have problems with Team Hell No) attack both Bryan and Jericho and lay them out (Kane is not there, it is explained).

* The Shield battle Team Hell No & Chris Jericho on RAW. Since they are no longer undefeated, you can have The Shield lose this match when Ambrose gets pinned by a Jericho Codebreaker, which the announcers make a big deal out of.

* Jericho makes the official challenge to Ambrose, points out the US Title is the only one he has never held, and all that. Ambrose accepts because he's no pussy. He goes on to defeat three former US Champions in title matches heading into the match (Ambrose is both a fighting champion by spirit, but he's also somewhat forced into such by Brad Maddox). He beats R-Truth, Santino Marella and Zack Ryder -- all cleanly to make it really look like Ambrose belongs in that upper mid-card bracket even on his own.

* It really doesn't matter who you put over at this point. Jericho would likely be willing to put Ambrose over, but if you did put the US Title on Jericho, you could very easily have Ambrose win it back in a rematch.

Mr. Nerfect 05-20-2013 01:46 AM

RAW should be pronounced Brock Lesnar Appreciation Night by Paul Heyman, but it gets crashed by Zack Ryder who tries to cut a real promo for a change. Ryder says that he needs to get noticed around here and now is the best time to take the fight to Brock Lesnar since he has a bad leg. Heyman tells Ryder he's a kid with a ton of potential, but that potential will disappear if Brock Lesnar chooses to take it from him. Ryder attacks Brock anyway and Lesnar destroys Ryder even though he's not at 100%, and then proceeds to remove the padding on the floor and gives Ryder an F-5 onto the concrete.

Makes Brock look like an absolute beast, and it gives the Ryder character some development and some time off. You either have Ryder come back and play the gutsy babyface, or you could even have Ryder appear in medical updates sort of like Randy Orton did with the RNN stuff. Could be a great way to segue Ryder into annoying heel territory.

If Tazz Dan were here right now I'd give him a piece of my mind.

Or, Ryder could just be the supposed new client for Heyman, what with him being the biggest thing that WWE dropped the ball on in recent history.

Or Ryder could get released because he's a useless whiny bitch

I miss the days when Ryder was out with a broken back.
