I would have zero interest in a Kurt Angle/Brock Lesnar match in 2019.

I remember really enjoying that Kurt Angle.
He was great. |

Well it might SOUND like that if i actually recorded audio and linked it, but in reality it read like that. Settle down son, you can go and pump your pud to pics of Brock in his pre-flab days using google image search i would imagine. |

It's a bit weird seeing Cena with an even amount of hair on his head.

Cena looks better with longer hair.

Kurt vs Brock would be such a terrible idea I can see them absolutely doing it tbh

According to Post Wrestling's John Pollock, Ronda's main event on RAW managed to cause a spike in ratings but because it was too short and the bump itself was small, it didn't really affect RAW in the end.

I was informed by someone with access to the quarter-hour breakdowns for Raw that the show as a whole did a 2.2 and the overrun segment feat. Dear bellend, please watch: Vs https://i.imgur.com/fxocWgA.jpg And before you play the "but he's older now" card that doesn't mean much at all. Back when he left wwe around 2004 one of the reasons he cited was not being able to do his workouts as much as he wanted to, and it showed as over the course of his first run he also went from very "ripped" at the start to noticeably less at the end. And just because you're older doesn't automatically mean you can't maintain a shape. He barely even appears on tv anymore so what's his reason for getting aesthetically out of shape? Even looking at his shoulders they're far less defined and far more rounded, he has a gut that hangs over his shorts, yet apparently that's not "fat". As for the lazy part, have you watched any of his fucking matches since he returned? 99% of them consist of 2 suplex variations and an f5 and thats it, if that's not lazy i don't know what is considering he's capable of much more and has just been phoning it in since his return. |
Jesus fucking Christ, you have high standards. Dude looks like a grizzly bear mated with a fire hydrant. He's not shredded like a body builder but he looks like he could tear a person's head clean off. Typical keyboard warrior.
|
Quote:
It's not even a matter of having high standards, if he was putting on good matches i doubt anyone would care, but has he? Even the crowd finally got pissed off with this "suplex city" shit as its painfully obvious he can't be bothered to do anything else yet Vince as deluded as he is for some reason is still throwing money at him. Personally i hope this "run" is his last as his matches are good as a cure for insomnia and not much else. |
To quote Joe Rogan, "I'm not worried that Brock Lesnar can fuck me, I'm worried that he'll use me as a condom to fuck something else."

I'd argue Lesnar's flabby look is a lot more related to him being off the roids or on a smaller cycle than in the past. Combine that with him being less motivated and active as a wrestler and his flabbiness becomes more apparent. Same reasons why his stamina in matches has gotten worse in recent times.
Triple H had a similar flabby look every time he went off the roids to have kids. |
lol "flabby" for fuck sake.
|
Couldn't think of another word for his look for Gerard's issues with Lesnar.
|
If Lesnar looking the way he does at the moment makes him fat, then Samoa Joe must be morbidly obese.
|
*Cough laugh* Flabby though?
|
He's a little softer than usual, but I'd take his "soft" over my "chiseled" any day of the week. Fitness is honestly a spectrum, and while he's obviously not in peak condition right now, calling him fat is ridiculous.

I mean, Cornette was under no obligation to love the guy. He could have seen the criticisms everyone else did, or disapproved of him because he came from Tough Enough. But he made a difference to the bottom line and won over Jim Cornette. It really is bizarre. Like, even if you fell on the side that he isn't very good -- the guy should have gotten way more chances just based on his size and that he came from Tough Enough, given that they wanted to push the show so much. Even if he was awful (which I don't think anyone would objectively say he was), why wouldn't he get more shots? Why wouldn't they bring him back for a Royal Rumble spot to stand above everyone else and then get tossed out by the Braun Strowman of the time or whatever? He looked cool as shit putting Big Show through the table with the F5. Vince has a history of needing to change guys when they come up. Cornette thought Cena was going to be a Ric Flair-style heel, so he's got to be the blue-chip babyface. Orton was going to be a babyface; let's push him as a cocky heel. Rico was going to be the all-American babyface, well, say hello to your gay stylist. Doug Basham, The Damaja, Rob Conway and Nick Dinsmore -- four staples of your mid-card? Nah, say hello to twin gimps, a "French sympathizer" and your mentally challenged person. Very few guys actually came up from OVW as is. I think the only ones were MNM, thinking about it. I wonder if the need to change Morgan was something too overpowering for Vince, and Morgan was only going to work within a certain context? The stuttering thing was just fucking stupid though. Why would you purposely give anyone a gimmick designed to give them such a laughable weakness? It'd be like giving someone a narcoleptic gimmick. It kind of symbolizes all the things I legitimately hate about the WWF/E, lol. They will actively go out of their way to make things bad sometimes. Why? I'll start on that podcast though. Thanks for the recommendation. :y: |

If Angle could move, I'd be into Brock vs. Angle. I could still get into the "story." Triple H and Stephanie force Angle to march to his death. It'd be a good "last match" for Angle. In theory. If Angle can't move his neck or his legs, then...yeah.

Lesnar is currently rumored to be interesting in working for both WWE and UFC once his current WWE contract expires.

Nah, Brock is going to end up in New Japan.
|
Seriously though, why would Brock not be offered a flexible WWE deal? He's already worked both UFC and WWE at the same time before. What would change? I think Daniel Bryan is going to angle for something flexible too, because he seems to have some "passion projects" he wants to work on, but also has his family to think about. I'm not saying he'll get it, but it wouldn't shock me to see Bryan working Wrestle Kingdom and WrestleMania next year.
|
Quote:
On the flip side, could see UFC be wary of him continuing working in the WWE since last time he tried to juggle both, it lead to him failing a drug test and getting suspended for a year. |
Vince doesn't think of UFC as competition. He sees what he does as completely separate. I don't think that should be the case, but I don't think he cares if Brock Lesnar gets killed in an octagon as Universal Champion. It's s big, ugly fake red plastic-looking belt. UFC won't even mention it and Brock won't come to the ring if he has it.
The drug-testing is more of a reason UFC would be weary, but they also like their PPV money, and Brock is money in the UFC because he knows how to play heel and do things like beat the piss out of Mark Hunt and then test positive for PEDs. As long as Brock is willing to make appearances and be the most over thing he's got, then I don't think he really cares what happens in the UFC. |
Yeah Lesnar is the biggest winner out of the three since he has less to worry about. UFC would probably be the biggest loser since any issues with Lesnar hurts WWE way less than it would with UFC.
Just having both interested in him already gives him huge leverage in talks. If I remember, he's pretty much used UFC as a trump card to bump up his WWE pay every time a new deal was being made. While Vince doesn't see UFC as competition, he also isn't that willing to give a big star for someone else to use and not get something back in return. WWE pretty much kept locking him down in yearly deals until very recently. |
Brock brings ratings to both promotions, I'd love to be in his shoes negotiating with them both. I don't see why he can't do both, he barely appears on WWE television as it is, Vince should sign him to a per appearance deal and work it around his UFC fight camps. Brock doesn't have that many years left in either promotion, so they have to capitalize on his drawing ability sooner rather than later.
