That's an interesting tidbit. Last evening, I learned that Mickie James is married to the current NWA World's Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis.

Great video.

I also like how it's been alphabetised and ends with him scoring a pinfall.

Its all about shifting pressure and weight away from the feet or else you'd crush a few ribs if you went full force into someone.

Balor does it by bending his knees and shift his body away to absorb most of the impact.

If the other person isn't prone but hoisting themselves on the rope, they help out by shifting their balance to spread out and lessen the impact.

Still, seems like a very risky maneuver, very likely to go wrong.

I couldn't tell, either. Especially with the big "U" all over her face. I initally thought it was that Kona dude, and was wondering what the fuck belt he had, as it didn't look like the UK title. I thought they made up another NXT midcard championship and completely dismissed the Women's division given this implication.

Listening to the Matt Morgan one right now. Pretty great so far. I 100% agree with Cornette on Morgan: he should have been a headlining star. I've been a huge fan of his since he debuted. I don't get what happened

Did this happen at TNA? My TNA viewing is very limited.

Innovator 08-06-2018 08:06 AM

I remember even back when I was all about workrate matches watching him bump for someone thinking “he shouldn’t be doing that”, it may have been off a clothesline feeding a comeback

Bad News Gertner 08-06-2018 08:09 AM

Very weird that some veteran didn't take him aside or an agent. nless this happened in TNA which no explanation needed. He was very agile, could cut a promo, had a cool finisher and looked like a monster . He should have been a slam dunk.

lol I think he had Tough Enough burned into his brain, because they make everyone do everything. Everyone has to learn how to bump and feed, everyone knows how to do top rope moves, etc even if they're never gonna need to do that stuff in an actual match.

Morgan was so early in his career at the time he was on SmackDown that I think his instincts from training took over.

I have memories of thinking A-Train was the worst guy on the roster. I dreaded seeing him each and every time.

I'm guessing it was just me being a workrate smark not thinking that big dudes who can brawl could possibly be good wrestlers.

Am I reading this right?

Brian Knobbs and Jerry Sags made $1 each in 1998?

If so, then that is hilarious.

Oh, and X-Pac too in 2000.

Why the hell was Jumpin Jeff Farmer still on the WCW payroll in 2000?

He wrestled in January of 2000 in WCW

Lock Jaw 08-07-2018 06:01 PM

Even if they weren't gonna use him, wise to keep him on the payroll so he couldn't go anywhere else. WCW could have been done a lot sooner.

Bad News Gertner 08-07-2018 06:13 PM

I'm guessing he was under contract but got sent to New Japan to work

That would be an interesting mania match, one guy that can do 2 moves because he's a lazy fat prick that's badly due a dentist visit, and the other guy that is incredibly broken down due to injuries and moves around like a wooden plank in the ring. :nono:

Lock Jaw 08-07-2018 06:32 PM

I mean, "back in the day" they were presented as "peers"

Ohh true

He was wrestling primarily in New Japan. Looks like he teamed with Chono against the Varsity Club in Jan.2000 but that's it.

I'm guessing he was under contract but they let him wrestle in New Japan since they had a working relationship with them

#1-norm-fan 08-07-2018 09:01 PM

That wasn't "Jumpin'" Jeff Farmer. It was another Jeff Farmer.

Yeowch, almost makes Austins piledriver look tame.

Apparently he got paid 10 million after a lawsuit of which Jannetty had to pay 500k.
