So much attention to detail put into those notes on pointless stuff.

If only they could put that kind of attention to detail into booking.

Having to read the website all week seems horrible. Shouldn't they already be aware of the storylines and the aspects of the wrestlers?

WWE announcers can no long use the term "backbreaker" on WWE television, according to Dave Meltzer. Apparently Vince McMahon doesn't like the term, which is why it wasn't called that when Sheamus used his Irish Curse Backbreaker maneuver during Monday's episode of RAW.

Reason for the ban is unknown, but Vince does this from time to time with different terms

Out of boredom, I was searching online for T-shirts and I came across this site.

http://www.tillys.com/intl/Men-Colle...x-WWE/_/N-9a0#

Apparently, some company called Rook has a partnership with WWE to sell T-shirts with wrestlers on them.

Well, at least I hope they do and it isn't some sort of illegal thing.

Cool King 07-08-2015 11:00 AM

Just finished watching this week's Raw and skipped the majority of it.

All I really watched was Heyman's promo, Lesnar destroying the car, The Lucha Dragons vs The New Day and Cena vs Cesaro.

* Why are we getting 15/20 minute promos at the beginning of Raw every week that revolve around the same three or four people?
* Why do most matches on Raw last on average around five minutes, but promos/backstage antics last around double that?
* Why is the main focus on around five people when they have a roster of around fifty-five?
* I'm not a fan of Kevin <s>Steen</s> Owens, at all.
* I can't buy into Neville.
* The Tag Team Division is actually looking great. I'm enjoying it.
* I like The Lucha Dragons. More please.
* What on earth is going on with Rusev?
* Why does nobody give a damn about Swagger?
* I want more Cesaro, Ziggler, Swagger, Barrett, Cody Rhodes and yes, Curtis Axel too.
* Rollins, Reigns, Ambrose and Wyatt have all gotten stale.
* I really think Triple H, Kane and Big Show should step aside now.
* Why is Paige a Tough Enough judge and not Natalya?
* I miss Alicia Fox's crazy days.
* I'm a supporter of the return of the Brand Split.

Done.

he can't stand the concept of raw using promos and vignettes to build toward PPVs. age old concept dumbfuck. hes tired of guys so the wwe should just listen to him and focus on the favorites he likes. any asshat who thinks a brand split was a good concept is not necessarily a hipster but sure is a jackoff. his entitled fanboy shit comes off as pompous and hipster, "oooh bray wyatt is so yesterday cause I liked him before he was mainstream"

There has been a lot of speculation on the outcome of the current storyline with Paige taking on Team Bella's Alicia Fox, Brie Bella and WWE Divas Champion Nikki Bella. There have been rumors about possible NXT Diva call-ups or even Tamina Snuka and Naomi teaming with Paige.

In a spoiler on that storyline, PWInsider reports that Charlotte's official main roster debut is currently penciled in for next month's SummerSlam pay-per-view. Another NXT Diva, likely current NXT Women's Champion Sasha Banks, will be debuting with Charlotte to side with Paige.

Sasha is expected to be the other Diva but there was talk of Bayley being called up. However, Bayley is currently dealing with a broken hand and that could delay her call-up.
A bit more details on Paige's upcoming help for her on-going feud against the Bellas. In terms of title feud stuff, still being speculated nobody is taking the title until Nikki breaks AJ's record another 3-4 months from now.

This is amazing to me. In just a day over six years, WCW went from the start of the hottest angle in the history of the industry to dead to a nostalgia act to a punchline.

I think there's a good chance it could outdo the Osbourne reality show from back in the day as far as "batshit crazy" goes.

#1-norm-fan 07-09-2015 01:27 AM

The only reason I would be against a Vince McMahon reality show is that the moment he realized people wanted to see him be out of touch and batshit crazy, he would ruin it by becoming self-aware and actually TRYING to be funny. It's what he does. It's part of his out-of-touch ways. Catch 22.

"Why are you airing me talking about Asian porn with JR? That's not funny. I got this machine that makes fart sounds. It's Goddamn hilarious. Turn the camera on now."

James Steele 07-09-2015 03:52 AM

They should do an hour long special episode of SWERVED where they just fuck with Vince. Let Ryder and other jobbers do the show.

First time I've ever been called a hipster, or a fanboy or even pompous, though I get the feeling I know why you're calling me a hipster. It's because I don't like Kevin Owens, right?

Anyway, more serious now and I know you don't completely know what I'm talking about as that post was a condensed version of my original essay one, which for some reason, imploded in on itself when I attempted to post it.

When I mentioned the 15/20 minute promos on Raw, what I was referring to was the opening promos.

In my original essay post, I mentioned that I've noticed that since WrestleMania, around 85% of opening promos have been around 15/20 minutes long and have always involved the same people. Triple H, Rollins, Kane and at first, Big Show. Basically, They've all involved The Authority, and they've always pretty much said the same thing, week in week out. Even now, there's no real change with Rollins' promos. He's still cutting promos about how he's great and that he's WWE Champion and isn't scared of anyone.

I know he's the heel and that's basic heel promos but he's been spitting the same lines now for almost four months. Other heel champions have by now, mixed it up and added new things to there promos and to their character. Rollins hasn't. For me, the WWE aren't really giving me any reasons for me to care about Rollins. With him saying and doing the same thing week in week out, I've grown bored of him. When he grabs a mic, I know what he's going to say. When he's in the ring, I know what he's going to do. When his rival is kicking about, I know what's going to happen.

I'm not saying the WWE should listen to me and focus on the guys I like. This is an internet forum, and this concept of mentioning wrestlers you like and wanting the company to focus on them and coming up with ideas for them, is part of the forum "experience", I guess. A lot of people do it, and clearly you've never read a Noid post before. (love you Noid) To take a line from you, it's an age old concept dumbfuck.

I can assure you though that I'm no jackoff. The Brand Split has it's fans and if it were to happen again, one of the positives would be a whole bunch of guys getting time to wrestle and for many more characters to be built. Also, I'm sure SmackDown would get more viewers with a Brand Split, as with the Brand Split, most people wouldn't feel like they're watching a 90 minute recap of Raw. I don't know about you, but I really don't want to watch the same handful of wrestlers that I'm not interested in for three hours every week.

Also, for the record, I've never really been a fan of Bray Wyatt. The character was a good idea but to me, it got old, fast.

I just want to say I agree with this. I also feel that Luke Harper actually does better Bray Wyatt promos that Bray Wyatt. While Wyatt does creepy promos, he doesn't actually say anything. Harper is creepy and has a point to his creepiness.

Anybody Thrilla 07-09-2015 01:10 PM

Luke Harper is easily one of my favorite workers in WWE. He has better matches than Bray, too. Harper vs. Undertaker may have actually been interesting.

WCW gave everybody pyro, but their pyro always looked cheap compared to WWE's during the Attitude Era. It's like WWE upgraded their pyro while WCW kept using pyro that they used in the early 90s. Alex Wright got pyro FFS.

Cool King 07-09-2015 03:45 PM

WCW's pyros always reminded me of sparklers.

Or the cheapest of cheap fireworks.

James Steele 07-09-2015 03:47 PM

WWE's pyro = 4th of July Fireworks in Washington DC
WCW's pyro= Rednecks shooting off $2000 work of firworks out by their pond.

Thinking about it now, Harper vs Undertaker would have been something I'd like to have seen.
