If you are in a match with an amount of air support that is not possible at that point in the match, then its a care glitch.

G 01-29-2010 04:33 PM

i've never seen that happen

El Fangel 01-29-2010 04:46 PM

I have and its a bitch, I switch to my class with the stinger + scavenger and I spend a good 5 mins shooting things down constantly while my teammates attempt to win the match.

RoXer 01-29-2010 04:47 PM

It doesn't happen on hardcore. Which is what we mainly play.

I feel like I'm going in circles here.

RoXer 01-29-2010 04:50 PM

I mean...

so that's why i've never seen any glitchers

FearedSanctity 01-29-2010 05:29 PM

Sorry to shit on your theory there, but last night when every game had glitchers in it, all those games were hardcore

RoXer 01-29-2010 05:40 PM

Sure

Infinity Ward is issuing a new patch for Modern Warfare 2 soon that plans to fix a whole host of bugs and glitches.

The patch is currently only available for PlayStation 3 users in Europe. U.S. players will be able to download the update sometime later tonight.

Xbox 360 will have to wait a bit as the patch is currently working its way through certification at Microsoft.

Here's what the new patch will fix:
- Care Package, Emergency Airdrop, and Sentry Gun marker grenades sprint speed normalized.

- Fix for "infinite care package" exploit.

- Sentry Guns: Improved placement detection, preventing cases of Sentry Guns inside geometry.

- Model 1887: Bling using Akimbo and FMJ combination now has same range and damage as non-Bling Model 1887s.

- Improved player collision removing cases of getting into geometry and 'elevators'.

- Fixes to prevent various XP hacks.

Johnny McNasty 01-29-2010 07:35 PM

IW actually already fixed the infinite care package glitch once before, but kids recently figured away around the patch. Can't wait for the care package running speed to be fixed, though I wish they weren't fixing the 1887's again, as they f'n sucked after the first patch.

Actually just took a gander over at the IW forums, and people are claiming they have found away to get infinite care packages around the newest patch. Lmao these nerdy kids work really fast. I say just take out the care package from the game entirely, and make people earn their kill streaks.

The Phenom 01-30-2010 12:54 PM

I would like to know how these nerdy kids manage to hack and get all this stuff. This just goes to show that they suck and can't win a game fair&square, so they have to cheat to win. People who do this should be banned completly from playing online, i believe some of you would agree. But that's just my opinion.

El Fangel 01-30-2010 02:38 PM

Oh I agree, after shooting down a total of 27 harriers and helicopters last night in a single match, I really fucking agree.

OssMan 01-30-2010 02:58 PM

Let's all band together against the nerdy kids!

El Fangel 01-30-2010 03:54 PM

Ok, I am fucking done playing until IW gets their fucking shit together and starts patching this glitchy as fuck game.

Johnny McNasty 01-30-2010 04:43 PM

I really don't have a problem with the infinite care package glitch as I hardly ever see it. Plus it is pretty simple to just run up and kill the kid using the cheat and steal his package.

LoDownM 01-30-2010 04:54 PM

Out of all the glitches mentioned in this thread, all I've seen in the Javelin/Stinger/Semtex glitch and the running faster with the care package thing out.

alvarado52 01-30-2010 05:11 PM

i witnessed the infinite care package glitch yesterday, and it was fucking annoying. You know what the problem is? There was no public beta this time around. MW1 has a tight public beta, which im sure they ironed out MANY problems. This time? They didnt do it.

Ill say it once, ill say it again...public beta is the best way to clean up exploits, because there is always some nerdy fuck out there who will find something to cheat with.

D Mac 01-30-2010 05:17 PM

MW1 still had it's share of problems tho.

D Mac 01-30-2010 05:18 PM

There will be cheaters no matter what you do. I just move on to the next match and not let it bother me.

Vietnamese Crippler 01-30-2010 05:30 PM

PC's worse: I get days when I can't escape fucking aimbots and wallhacks

dont recall nearly as much bullshit in MW as MW2. Sure, you had noob tubes and some shit here and there, but by no means were any glitches truly 'game breakers' the way these are, where they give you such an edge its lopsided.

Moving faster than the rest of the players because of some can in your hand is big advantage.

Having care packages that have a decent chance of being something destructive come at you OVER and OVER is nuts.

Sure, MW had its problems, but there is no way in hell you could compare it to the plethora of problems MW2 has.

Requiem 01-31-2010 03:25 PM

The only BIG issue with MW1 was when they made sniping stupid easy. Took away leading.. made it point and shoot, to where a body shot would kill someone in 1 shot with the right setup.

No leading = aim right on the guy and pull the trigger... dead. Then suddenly everyone started sniping, and it didn't take skill anymore. Admittedly, I sucked at sniping originally, but you would come across someone who was awesome at it, and you KNEW they were awesome at it when they kept getting kills, because it was still DIFFICULT.

Oh well. Sniping isn't nearly as big of a deal in MW2.

MW2 just has it's own set of glitches and imbalances. Noob tube, care package glitch (both), all the boosting.. They need to fix it so you can't join games in progress on certain gametypes. FFA, for instance. Yeah, it's cool to actually be able to play with a friend in FFA.. but the abuse it has lead to with nuke boosting is ridiculous. It seems like every other game I join, there is a pair of people nuke boosting.

Still... nothing is more annoying than knifing a guy holding a care package as he is running at you, only for him to be moving too quickly for your knife to count which results in getting knifed.

El Fangel 01-31-2010 06:36 PM

I played a couple games tonight out of boredom

Little cunt named "Theshooter15pie" had 16-1-4 and called in 9 fucking emergency airdrops in a row.

Also, the game should not let you join a matchup where a team is more then 66% to winning, its hateful to join a match where the enemy is at 7000+ and your team is 6000 or below.

alvarado52 01-31-2010 06:43 PM

Ive learned to live with tubing. Honestly, its something that is cheap, but plausible. On the other hand, i cant stand the fact that im pumping bullets into a guys chest, but he still lunges and knifes me, resulting in a kill. I think they should make a knife a one kill if hit from behind (like halo melee), and either lower the lunge speed if getting shot, or make it a two strike kill.

And commando...dont get me started on commando. The lunge is fucking rocket boots, but what bothers me MOST about commando is that the knife is heat seeking. I think if you lunge, it shouldnt seek to the kill, instead, if you strafe and they lunge, they move right past you, leaving them open to getting shot of knifed themselves.

Kalyx triaD 01-31-2010 06:46 PM

The BC2 demo almost has me done with this game, but I'm making a comeback later today. Feel like some CTF and Domination.

alvarado52 01-31-2010 06:49 PM

There is no leading in sniping in BC2, that was a little disappointing. Im a shitty sniper, so it goes without saying that when i get most of my kills via sniper, its noob friendly.

I dunno, i like the feel of BC2, but im not a fan of the game modes.

Did you analyze all the annoying factors of Modern Warfare 2 and choose to find knifing a guy holding a care package as most annoying?

D Mac 02-01-2010 08:21 AM

Don't think this was mentioned yet. Found this on IGN...

Play the pirate one on dedicated servers. It's bliss.

Verbose Minch 02-01-2010 10:03 AM

Love how terrible IW is at patching.

We fixed this, but now this is fucked. It's like they've just started making games.

The Phenom 02-01-2010 01:31 PM

They never fixed the xp hack i ran into that Sat. Was playing a domination match on skidrow i shot down 7 harriers 4 pavelows & 1 attack chopper plus killed 11 enemy players, at the end of match i only received 400pts which tells me they hacked my points, i was royally pissed off.

At least they're vigilant, some teams don't give a shit.

Savio 02-01-2010 02:40 PM

lol yeah I remember THQ did not give a fuck about SvR 2006 online.

LoDownM 02-01-2010 02:40 PM

What did they break with the patch?

Give it a day. There will be a glitch where everybody can fly and get to 10th prestige by turning on their Xbox.

Is every game one of the biggest game releases of all time?

RoXer 02-01-2010 06:43 PM

Halo 3 was.
GTA 4 was.

They had patches.
