WWE.com recently put up a list of what they consider as 13 "remember when" moments in WWE history.

Remember that time? 13 awesome squared circle moments you may have forgotten

The staff of WWE Magazine, WWE.com and the WWE Digital Video Group have watched countless hours of Raw, SmackDown and pay-per-views in our lifetimes. It’s our job. We’ve seen it all, yet specific and peculiar moments have stuck with us. And with WWE Network now available, we can relive these highlights. They’re funny, weird, underrated or just plain unforgettable. For some reason, though, they’ve made an emotional connection and a home in our minds and now we’re finally kicking them out — for your entertainment of course!

Lock Jaw 04-10-2014 09:56 PM

lol TNA. Samoa Joe has been trying to get a one on one "fair shot" at Magnus for months, and MVP has just been doing weird stuff to "try to make it fair" like chaining Abyss to himself at ringside, and booking a four way match....

Eric Young gets a title shot and he is just like "Abyss is barred from ringside, and anyone who comes out is fired"

Seems like decision making like that would have helped him to give Samoa Joe his fair shot.

Why does Vince hate the idea of Wargames so much? If this isn't the perfect setup for a Wargames match, I don't know what is.

Sting (Steve Borden) has agreed to terms on a deal with WWE according to a report by Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter. He's deal includes appearances on WWE television. Whether or not they will be regular remains to be seen. As reported on earlier, Sting has been in talks with WWE for some time after his deal with TNA expired last year. He had stated publicly that he wanted to work a match with The Undertaker at Wrestlemania. With that now likely not to happen, what plans WWE has for him now going forward remains to be seen.

To me right now, physical size and look, which has probably been a huge deal for more than a century in the business, has never meant less because fans know it’s a work and who are real tough guys doesn’t matter. Nobody, and I mean nobody, ever asks if it was real or who would win between guys in pro wrestling, or goes with the idea that even though wrestling matches aren’t real, that pro wrestlers, if it was real would be the toughest guys in a fight. Still, you can see the company mentality, because whenever they have a press conference, they bring in the Divas and dress them up but just use them as greeters, and the usual crew is Khali, Show, Henry, Cena, HHH, and then often Del Rio (for someone to speak Spanish) although now Bryan has to be added just because he’s such a signature star.

TNA talents continue to be nervous because nothing has been announced regarding a renewal of TNA's contract with Spike TV. There is talk that one of the reasons they are going into the expensive New York market for tapings this summer is because it's a way to impress Spike officials that they are still looking to improve and that the Northeast audience will come across more rabid on TV.

According to PWI, Chris Saban is leaving TNA once his current contract is done (around August).

one of Mulligan's "ancestors" was Levi Garrett Mulligan. lol Levi Garrett is a brand of chewing tobacco.

Also I'm surprised they allowed JJ to use Dusty's & Blackjack's real names. It being Virgil Riley Runnels & Robert Deroy Windham.

rob11 04-12-2014 10:48 AM

I stopped watching wrestling from the end of 1996 through WM14 so I'm watching Raw's from early 1997 aka the nadir of the WWE. I don't care what anyone says, much lower than today, and it's funny how few guys got any sort of pop. No matter how dead the crowd no pun untended, The Undertaker always got a huge pop. Anyway, I watched the ECW invasion Raw, then they go to Germany which I fast forwarded through, and the next week 3/10 went from their classic opening to "Beautiful People" with the intro they used through mid 1998. There was a new set. It just caught me off guard. Like in those two weeks, Raw radically changed although I haven't watched the entire show yet. I saw the Shawn Michael's "lost my smile" speech. Wow, the talent on the roster was thin. I'm waiting for the Bret Hart "this is bullshit, everyone screws me" speech.

XL 04-12-2014 10:53 AM

Pretty sure I read that at NXT Arrival HHH told everybody that call-ups wouldn't be coming any time soon as they wanted to push NXT on the Network. 6 weeks later...Bo, Rose and Rusev on Raw with Zayn and The Ascension to follow?

We noted before that The Rock is expected to work WrestleMania 31 next year and is the leading candidate for the 2015 Hall of Fame class. Word this week is that WWE is considering Brock Lesnar vs. The Rock or Brock Lesnar vs. Cesaro for WrestleMania 31.

Another huge match that WWE has penciled into their plans is for this year's SummerSlam - Triple H vs. Roman Reigns.

Loved seeing how great Jake looked. He was so refreshingly honest as well.

Scott looked great as well. Great seeing the Kliq together again.

Lol @ Barrett. I marked out. And I loved Stephanies reaction to his "bad news" lol. Love Barrett.

I got fairly emotional during Jake's speech. Not so much for Jake as a person but for what he could mean to the business right now if he'd chosen a different path. He should be backstage, teaching the young guys how to promo, how to put a match together, etc. but doing that would mean being on the road, which could lead him back to bad habits.

Where does he live now? Anywhere near Full Sail?

I think he's still here in Atlanta. And yeah I got a bit caught up in his speech as well. It was his psychology at work, but for real.

Also I lol'd at "masturbating your emotions"

Remove all the Daniel Bryan stuff, and that could be a pretty sweet shirt.
